So soon after dropping their last piece Coarsetoys announces the long awaiting "False Friends" set. This contatins the colossal paw! and a Noop, robed in a soft paw! suit. The pair, limited to 200 pieces come in a stunning a hand crafted wooden box. Each set includes one coarse family and friends application card. The set will cost HK$4,400...approx £350 but that includes shipping.

Tim Biskup "Hiss, Warble. Drop Out" Dolbee

For the upcoming winter ATP festivals in the UK, Tim Biskup has takne his turn to design thge festival's signature Dolbee figure. If you're unfamiliar with Dolbee, he was created by MAD a few years back and has featured artists such as Pete Fowler, Kathy Olivas and SketOne. Tim's all black Dolbee features a Helper-esque figure an English phrase that, if you don't know means getting drunk/high. Excellent work Mr B!

New Beast Bros Custom!

Later today the newest custom from the Beast Brothers will be released! Just 10 of this Vos Hermanos Calavera figure will be released so make sure you don't miss out.

Features of this figure include:
- 8" hand painted vinyl munny with gold chain accents
- Impeccably detailed and individually numbered on the back
- Custom sculpted sombrero, hand painted with silk rope and velvet accents
- Laser etched pine wood box, stained and lined with red silk

Dropping tomorrow are the latest handmade pieces from Hello, Brute. With a slightly festive theme these 6" fellas come with a snug knitted beanie and jumper. The middle pice pictured is a one-off custom, priced at $85 that will be part of this drop. The two either side are the regular release, priced at $75. Uamou - 4 new versions

Ayako Takagi returns with more Uamou's just in time for Xmas - or before - seeing as they usually sell out so quickly! If you're not familiar with the Uamou character, Ayako created it when living in London (hence her inclusion in the UK Dunny Series) and sold the handmade polystone 'sitting' version in Playlounge.

Now living back in Japan she's created resin versions of Uamou and these newer Japanese soft vinyl figures, standing at 7cm. The Hyper Lame, Hyper Blue Eyes, Shiny Grey and clear purple are all available on her online store here: http://www.uamou.com/shop/e/all.htm

123Klan Fellastar and Megastar

Montreal-based group 123Klan announce their first ever solo figures produced by Artoyz Originals. Fellastar (below) and Megastar (above) both measure approx 6" and show off 123Klan's signature geometric style misxing logos and typography.

The first release - the Megastar Artoyz variant is limited to 200 pieces and will be released this December. His compatriot Fellastar see in regular colours below is due out in January with 700 pieces being made.

Neighborhood x Disney set

I blogged a while back about Japanese store NEIGHBORHOOD's collab with Disney although the only clue was a back image of the Big Bad Wolf. Well now it's official - to celebrate the store's 15th anniversary it will work with Disney on an apparel collection and these figures. Both Mickey and Big Bad Wolf come in colour and montone versions...that, however, is where the good news ends. These pieces will retail for ¥15,800, or about $175 through NEIGHBORHOOD Flagship locations. Ouch...thanks, but no thanks.

Urban Medium Che Trooper is back!

Urban Medium have been kinda quiet of late but are back with a bang, offering up some handpainted versions of their classic Che Trooper bust to celebrate an upcoming new website. The Che bust is, in my opinion a designer/art toy classic and this opportunity is unlikely to come around again. This time the trooper comes in six different candy colours and will be availble for approx 2 weeks or until they're sold out.

Kidrobot London store opening

Last night saw the 'official' opening of Kidrobot's much-anticipated London store and the crowds turned out in force for the launch of the 2009 Xmas Dunny and signing by Mike and Katie TADO. The store itself looks very nice, with a wide selection of mini-series, larger pieces and DIY blanks alongside apparel and some lovely customs by Triclops, Dave White and of course TADO.

At one point the line numbered about 150 people stretching past Firetrap next door and down the road! Good work by KR to get as many people through the doors as possible and a chance to meet TADO to ensure people didn't leave disappointed. Lets hope the success leads to more signings in the near future!

Also great to meet old friends from KR, artists and fellow collectors from the UK and even Europe!

Shawnimals "Hobo Sandwich"

I'll come right out and say it. This rules, hard. With Fliggins now in Foodlandia it was only a matter of time before he discovered something of immense awesomeness. And "Hobo Sandwich" is that discovery - measuring approx 6x6x2" and including a whole lunch bunch including chips, a napkin and a note from Mom, all in a brown paper sack! As ever handmade and limited to 100 Hobo is definitely being purchased by me!

RIP Edward Woodward

He might not be faimilar to a lot of people, but Edward Woodward not only had an awesome name but he was the star of the superb 80s show "The Equalizer" - wherein the US-based Brit detective solved crimes and drove around in a Jaguar. It also had one of the best TV theme tunes.

Plaseebo "LARVOPUS"

Latest creation from the twisted mind of Bob Conge (Plaseebo) comes LARVOPUS. A 5.5" high figure combining clear vinyl and hand cast resin base with a colour chnaging LED unit that projects coloured lights into the figure.

Angry Woebots x SilentStage

Angry Woebots has teamed up with SilentStage to create his first solo toy, coming off the back of a good few years of customs and his recent BIC Buddy design. Although still in prototyping phase you can already see this has the trademark Woesbots expression and a decent, moody stance. Cali-based peeps can take a look ath this proto in the flesh at the upcoming Designer Con.

The Panda King is going to be an 8" resin sculpt with an initial handpainted run of just 60 pieces, coming with mini print and custom box.

Joy of Toy recap

Organised (very last minute) as a mini toy retrospective "Joy of Toy" opened last week showing off some classic pieces of vinyl including KAWS, Futura, James Jarvis, Pete Fowler and Eric So. I hope this event becomes something of a 'regular' occurance because everyone who visited, whether a toy fan or not, seemed interested in the pieces on show. Plus for us UKers it's good to see these pieces in the flesh rather than on a screen!

Dave White's "Top Mun" for Munnyworld

While Nick, aka Sourbones is over in NYC repairing his Munny custom (and his wasn't the only one to be damaged!!) Dave White sends Clutter a pic of his custom for the Munnyworld show opening tomorrow in NYC. "Top Mun" is a highly detailed piece featuring rivets, brushed metal effect surfaces and accurate USAF decals. If you're going to the show definitely check this one out in person.

When PJ got blinded in Byker Grove!

Where were you when PJ got blinded by paintballs in Byker Grove? Well obviously i was sat in front of my TV when i was a kid watching this classic episode of the kids drama. From my sketchy memory PJ had been seeing 2 girls who decided to get revenge on him when they found out about each other! Unbeknown to PJ these girls were dead-eye shots (Texans probably) and hit him with 2 paintballs, 1 in each eye! He would have been fine if he hadn't have taken his bloody mask off!

Then to top it all off his best mate Duncan stole his girlfriend from under his nose! Who would have thought from these humble beginnings we'd have the Ant and Dec of today!

Anyway its one of those moments in TV that everyone my age remembers. The pinnacle of the series. Classic!
