Congratulations to German Fernandez (right) of Oklahoma State and Will Claye of the University of Oklahoma for becoming national champions in there respected events. Fernandez ran the 1500 meter with a time of 3:39.00. Claye competed in the triple jump with a distance of 56 feet 6.75 inches.

The Detroit Lions selected Brandon Pettigrew as the 20th pick in the 2009 NFL draft. During his stay at Oklahoma State University (OSU) Pettigrew was second in receiving yards for the Cowboys, with 472 yards and 11.2 yards per catch. Here's a sample of the 87 images we have on file.

The top two ranked tennis players in the country battled it out today in the windy conditions of Stillwater, Oklahoma. Top-ranked Oleksandr Nedovyesov of Oklahoma State University was over taken by second-ranked Arnau Brugues of the University of Tulsa. Burgues made quick work Brugues is now 20-0 on the season and Nedovyesov fell to 12-2.

Oklahoma State's Oleksandr Nedovyesov is currently ranked #1 in the nation in NCAA Men's Tennis. On Tuesday he defeated Nebraska's David Bendheim 6-1, 6-1. This Thursday, April 9, 2009, The University of Tulsa's Arnau Brugues, currently ranked 2nd in the nation, will face off against Oklahoma State's Nedovyesov.

Doubles start at 2:00 with singles following at the DeBois Tennis Complex in Stillwater, Okla.

BIG 12 Champions

Congratulations to the Cowgirls for becoming the first ever Big 12 Champion in Equestrian.

The Cowgirls hosted the inaugural Big 12 Equestrian Tournament in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Teams participating in the tournament included Kansas State University, University of Baylor and Texas A&M University.
