Here's the first result: Things To Do In New York City (Cool Upright Remix).

Ingredients:
1. Ted Berrigan recorded in 1973 reading his poem “Things To Do In New York (City).”
2. The “Cool Upright 02” bass loop in GarageBand.
3. Various clips from dobroide's City Noise audio pack.
4. A modest little drum track I laid down.

Scotthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02539984048028999777noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7359229.post-75332861089247399702009-06-02T07:43:00.000-04:002009-06-02T07:43:44.797-04:00Fail betterFour poems just posted for the spring issue of failbetter.com.

Scotthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02539984048028999777noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7359229.post-14028391981581331392009-05-10T00:14:00.000-04:002009-07-12T08:16:14.789-04:00Drunken Boat - Home

My first attempt at a music vid.

Scotthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02539984048028999777noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7359229.post-15146592556005336202009-05-09T22:10:00.001-04:002009-05-11T07:54:11.072-04:00Bennett fontsIn 2000, I think it was, I made a couple of fonts in collaboration with experimental poet John M. Bennett. There's a text/novelty font (Bennetian Standard) as well as a dingbat font (Bennetian Dingbats) based on handwriting samples and drawings supplied by Bennett (though I added a couple of my own drawings to the dingbat font).

These are PostScript fonts that will work on a Mac, not sure about on a PC, and can now be downloaded from Mediafire at: http://www.mediafire.com/?j5ky1jzynqy.

Mediafire's great, but it sometimes puts out a pop-up ad or two, not too many, but if you're annoyed by even one pop-up ad, then make sure you have pop-up blocking enabled in your browser. (FWIW, I don't use pop-up blocking when visiting their site.)

The fonts are not quite finished as I had envisioned them, but they are usable. I had intended to finish them off, and to convert them to OpenType, but I haven't kept up too well with font software.

These fonts are provided free here for personal and/or non-profit use. If someone out there gets the mad idea to use this for a commercial project, contact me. Also, the fonts should not be recreated or modified in any form without permission.

Scotthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02539984048028999777noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7359229.post-14682083292962438152009-04-16T07:23:00.001-04:002009-04-16T07:23:27.979-04:00EpiphanyHold on.

Scotthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02539984048028999777noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7359229.post-32301372024049408422009-04-16T07:22:00.000-04:002009-04-16T07:22:53.437-04:00Richard and the Young Lions -
