"Nine" The Movie Falls Short of 10...

“Nine’’ is Rob Marshall’s first musical since “Chicago’’ which
won the Best Picture Oscar in 2003. “Nine” is based on the
1982 Tony-winning show starring Raul Julia, which was based on
Marcello Mastroianni's portrayal of Federico Fellini in “8 1/2.’’
With a stellar cast of Daniel Day-Lewis, Judi Dench, Marion
Cotillard, Sophia Loren, Nicole Kidman, Kate Hudson, Penélope
Cruz & Fergie, you would think that this production would enjoy
the same high accolades. Though this film is an enjoyable 1960’s
Italian retro-ride it does fall short of the media hype. Definitely
check it OUT. The cast is fabulous & the movie is entertaining...:)

marriage being the law in Massachusetts & how
this effects the rights & benefits for the state’s
LGBT seniors....:) OUTTAKE VOICES™
Washington, D.C. city council voted Tuesday to pass legislation
that extends marriage equality to gay couples in the District.
The bill will now be sent to District Mayor Adrian Fenty,
followed by the U.S. Congress. By law, Congress has 30 days to
review & overturn laws created by the District's city council.
“Gay & lesbian people in our nation’s capitol are today one step
closer to the important legal protections that marriage affords &
that all loving & committed couples deserve,” said Jarrett Barrios,
President of GLAAD, the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation.
“Today’s vote affirms the commitment of so many gay & lesbian
couples in the District & reflects the growing support for protecting

Neil Patrick Harris was awarded the Trevor Project 2009 Life
Award @ the Wiltern Theatre in Hollywood, Sunday. Accepting
the award Harris said, “Being the real, authentic me has turned out
quite swell. Since I came out in 2006, I have since enjoyed the
happiest and most successful years of my life.” Recounting stories
he heard from volunteers working the phones @ the West Hollywood
Trevor Project Call Center, Harris said, “What I do feels small
compared to these volunteers.” AT&T Inc. received the Trevor Hope
Award. The Trevor Project, is the non-profit organization that
operates the only nationwide, around-the-clock crisis & suicide
prevention helpline for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender &
questioning (LGBTQ) youth. The Cracked Xmas Event is its largest

federal Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA). On fighting for LGBT
seniors, Coakley worked to pass legislation expanding health

Coakley was an early supporter & the first statewide office holder
to support the Transgender Rights bill pending in the Massachusetts

audience at the American Music Awards by grinding his crotch
into the face of a kneeling male dancer that he'd been holding
by a leash. Network censors had a feast bleeping the lyrics that
accompanied the crotch/face scene as cameras cut away to a shot
of the darkened auditorium. As the song ended, Lambert grabbed
the male keyboardist for some forced tongue-swapping & again the

Today we honor Jorge Steven López Mercado who was
murdered last Saturday in Puerto Rico. Mercado, a Puerto
Rican native, was found partially burned, decapitated & with
his arms & legs dismembered, on the side of the road near his
home town Caguas, Puerto Rico on November 14th. Read More...
"We must stop the homophobic slaughter," stated Malcolm Lazin,

passed the Domestic Partners Benefits & Obligations Act (H.R. 2517),
authored by Congresswoman Tammy Baldwin (D-WI). Under the
legislation, same-gender domestic partners of federal employees
living together in a committed relationship would be eligible for
health benefits, long-term care, Family & Medical Leave & federal
retirement benefits, among others. The domestic partners of federal
employees would also be subject to the same responsibilities that
apply to the spouses of federal employees, such as anti-nepotism
rules & financial disclosure requirements. “Today’s actions mark
another significant step in our march toward LGBT equality,” said
Congresswoman Baldwin, Co-Chair of the House LGBT Equality
Caucus. “Our movement is gaining momentum around the country
& Congress is following the will of the people. Today is a day to
celebrate yet another milestone & recognize anew that ‘the arc of

Dolly Parton Comes OUT For Gay Marriage

Today marks the 6th anniversary of Goodridge et al. v. Dept.
Public Health. In a historic opinion on November 18, 2003,
the Gay & Lesbian Advocates & Defenders (GLAD), won a
ruling from the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court that
gay & lesbian couples could no longer be excluded from civil
marriage rights in Massachusetts….:)
Why we love Dolly Parton…:) When asked why she had such a
strong gay following, Parton replied: "I think its because they
know I'm different too & it took me a long time be accepted.
And I think that they just kind of relate to that. But I think they
appreciate the fact that I just love everybody for who they are
& we're not supposed to try to change people, we should allow
people to be who they are & love them as they are." When asked
if she supports gay marriage coming from such a religious
background Dolly replied: “I always say, ‘Sure, why can’t they

“After more than a decade of opposition we passed inclusive
hate crimes legislation to help protect our citizens from violence
based on what they look like, who they love, how they pray or
who they are,” Obama said before signing the bill.
