WBC President announced the institution of a new WBC green and gold belt to be called the WBC Diamond Championship. It is an honorary championship belt exclusively for fights between elite boxers. Pacquiao is obsessed with trying to win this diamond belt. This WBC Diamond Belt is being manufactured using the same design as the traditional belt but the materials will include 18 karat gold fusion, 598 diamonds, 196 emeralds, 6 rubies and 150 swarowsky semi-precious stones. The Diamond Belt reportedly costs $50,000 to make, and is studded with 400 diamonds, based on an online diamond price guide.

These super-expensive cards are obviously designed to reign in the biggest of the big spenders, only if you can pass the cut for the high-status prerequisites. And banks really want to attract these big spenders. GK Power, a Seoul-based smart card maker and online game provider, developed the luxury card and began selling it to local and overseas banks last year.

Recently, it signed a $175,000 contract with Dubai First Bank in September to supply 1,000 cards worth 300 times more than conventional plain plastic cards for the bank's most valued clients. The company is looking to step into in the U.S., China, Europe and the Middle East.
