The message in this book was wonderful! We all have fears! I have them, you have them, everyone has them! They aren't the same fears most of the time, but it is so easy for me to put myself into the "shoes" of Kaycee while she battles her very worst fears and fights to overcome them in order to save a life and not loose her sanity, or have everyone finally convinced she is a "nut" after all! I liked the ending too, it worked well for me. Mrs. Collins ..... Thank you for writing <i>Exposure</i>!!!! </div><div><br /></div><div>Carol :) </div><div><br /></div><div><br /><div><br /><div align="center"><a href="http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/5500/1432/1600/CFBAreviewer_gif.0.gif"><img style="MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/5500/1432/320/CFBAreviewer_gif.0.gif" border="0" /></a></div><br /><center><span style="font-size:130%;">This week, the</span></center><br /><center><a href="http://www.christianfictionblogalliance.com/"><span style="font-size:100%;">Christian Fiction Blog Alliance</span></a></center><br /><center><span style="font-size:100%;">is introducing</span></center><br /><center><span style="font-size:130%;color:#993300;"> <a href="http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0310276438">Exposure</a></span></center><br /><center>Zondervan (June 1, 2009)</center><br /><center>by</center><br /><center><span style="font-size:130%;color:#006600;"><a href="http://www.brandilyncollins.com/index.html">Brandilyn Collins</a></span></center><br /><br /><br /><span style="font-size:100%;color:#ff6600;">ABOUT THE AUTHOR:</span><br /><br /><br /><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_m32TlugOPkM/SkrA3wAPWeI/AAAAAAAACzw/Qzkv681u_7s/s1600-h/Photo1cropweb.JPG"><img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 216px; height: 228px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_m32TlugOPkM/SkrA3wAPWeI/AAAAAAAACzw/Qzkv681u_7s/s320/Photo1cropweb.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5353303171094501858" /></a><br />Brandilyn Collins is an award-winning and best-selling novelist known for her trademark Seatbelt Suspense®. These harrowing crime thrillers have earned her the tagline "Don't forget to b r e a t h e . . ."® Brandilyn's first book, <i>A Question of Innocence</i>, was a true crime published by Avon in 1995. Its promotion landed her on local and national TV and radio, including the <i>Phil Donahue</i> and <i>Leeza</i> talk shows. Brandilyn is also known for her distinctive book on fiction-writing techniques, <i>Getting Into Character: Seven Secrets a Novelist Can Learn From Actors</i> (John Wiley & Sons). She is now working on her 20th book.<br /><br />In addition to <a href="http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0310276438">Exposure</a>, Brandilyn’s other latest release is <a href="http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0310715393">Always Watching</a>, first in The Rayne Tour series—young adult suspense co-written with her daughter, Amberly. The Rayne Tour series features Shaley O’Connor, daughter of a rock star, who just may have it all—until murder crashes her world.<br /><br /><strong><span style="font-size:100%;color:#ffcc00;">ABOUT THE BOOK</span></strong><br /><br /><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_m32TlugOPkM/SkrBKyViB_I/AAAAAAAACz4/E6Qa5n3JD2Q/s1600-h/Exposureweb.jpg"><img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 207px; height: 320px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_m32TlugOPkM/SkrBKyViB_I/AAAAAAAACz4/E6Qa5n3JD2Q/s320/Exposureweb.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5353303498138191858" /></a><strong>When your worst fear comes true.</strong><br /><br />Someone is watching Kaycee Raye. But who will believe her? Everyone knows she’s a little crazy. Kaycee’s popular syndicated newspaper column pokes fun at her own paranoia and multiple fears. The police in her small town are well aware she makes money writing of her experiences. Worse yet, she has no proof of the threats. Pictures of a dead man mysteriously appear in her home—then vanish before police<br />arrive. <div><br /></div><div>Multisensory images flood Kaycee’s mind. Where is all this<br />coming from? Maybe she is going over the edge.<br /><br />High action and psychological suspense collide in this story of terror, twists, and desperate faith. The startling questions surrounding Kaycee pile high. Her descent to answers may prove more than she can survive.<br /><br /><br />To read the first chapter, go <a href="http://www.brandilyncollins.com/books/excerpts/exposure.html">HERE</a>.</div><div><br /></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(102, 51, 102); font-size: 13px; font-weight: bold; ">The book link is: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0310276438</span><br /><br /></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: 13px; "><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color:#993399;">Brandilyn can be reached through the Contact link on her </span><a href="http://www.brandilyncollins.com/index.html" style="text-decoration: none; "><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color:#993399;">Website</span></a><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color:#993399;">:</span></span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:100%;color:#333333;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: 13px;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Tahoma; font-size: 12px; white-space: pre; "><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color:#993399;">http://www.brandilyncollins.com/index.html</span></span><br /></span></span> <blockquote>“More twists and turns than a Coney Island roller coaster! Conlan went on to start college at the age of sixteen, and now holds a Master's degree in Communication, which taught him the academic principles needed to write Firstborn.<br /><br />Conlan lives on Colorado's Front Range where he is working on his next book. He enjoys video editing, film scores, and developing high octane, thought provoking fiction that turns pages and excites the senses.<br /><br /><br /><strong><span style="font-size:100%;color:#ffcc00;">ABOUT THE BOOK</span></strong><br /><br /><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_m32TlugOPkM/Sj7l0c8I_SI/AAAAAAAACzI/-ZABUFDBkC4/s1600-h/the+firstborn.jpg"><img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 214px; height: 320px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_m32TlugOPkM/Sj7l0c8I_SI/AAAAAAAACzI/-ZABUFDBkC4/s320/the+firstborn.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5349966096647126306" /></a><strong>Three supernatural gifts. Two thousand years of division. One moment of truth.</strong><br /><br />Hannah's head hung, long brown hair in her eyes. Her face felt pasty with cold and fatigue and pain. Arms behind her back, she sat in a chair, wrists and ankles tied to the wooden frame, chair legs bolted to the floor. <em>A cold car. A gun. Horror. Pain. Grief. Screaming. A windshield blistering with holes. Darkness. </em><br /><br />It all came over her like a flood. A pouring out of pictures in her mind. But then there was one more thing. Not an image, but a feeling--that half a continent away someone else had felt it all happening too.<br /><br />The Firstborn, those gifted with Foresight, Hindsight, and Insight at the time of Christ's death are divided between themselves. And when an Islamic holy man is murdered outside of his mosque it becomes apparent that one of the Firstborn was to blame. Now, with the threat of a terrorist attack on an unspeakable target the Firstborn are spiraling out of control. Leaders are dying, members are being kidnapped, and unity is being forced. Three heroes, differently gifted and divided must work together to thwart those who would go too far.<br /><br />Their breakneck race against time plunges them into a world of danger and through a gauntlet across the United States. From the Riverwalk of San Antonio, where Devin Bathurst, John Temple, and Hannah Rice must protect one another from assassination, to the gritty streets of Washington DC, a paramilitary compound in Pennsylvania, and ultimately back to our nation's capital, the Firstborn must unite to prevent an impending atrocity from becoming reality.<br /><br /><center>Watch The Trailer</center><br /><br /><object width="320" height="265"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/zwYPiQDnYu8&hl=en&fs=1&rel=0"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/zwYPiQDnYu8&hl=en&fs=1&rel=0" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="320" height="265"></embed></object><br /><br />If you would like to read the first chapter excerpt of <a href="http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/1599796074">The Firstborn</a>, go <a href="http://thestorybeginnings.blogspot.com/2009/06/firstborn-chapter-1.html">HERE</a><div><br /></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style=" font-weight: bold; font-size:13px;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color:#993399;">The book link is: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/1599796074</span></span></div></div><div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/7278530412480748616-3080197312690339261?l=carolkeen.blogspot.com'/></div>Carol E. This book is written from the neatest perspectives!! I throughly enjoyed this "take" of an already super well known Bible story, Moses! You can't help but feel so bad for the fallen angel that regrets so badly that he was on the wrong side when things literally went down, but at the same time it is such a beautiful reminder of how God treats us so differently from the angels. I think I need to find <i>Lucifer's Flood</i> and read it too! <g> </div><div><br /></div><div>Carol :) </div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /><br /><div align="center"><a href="http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/5500/1432/1600/CFBAreviewer_gif.0.gif"><img style="MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/5500/1432/320/CFBAreviewer_gif.0.gif" border="0" /></a></div><br /><center><span style="font-size:130%;">This week, the</span></center><br /><center><a href="http://www.christianfictionblogalliance.com/"><span style="font-size:100%;">Christian Fiction Blog Alliance</span></a></center><br /><center><span style="font-size:100%;">is introducing</span></center><br /><center><span style="font-size:130%;color:#993300;"> <a href="http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/1599794764">The Deliverer</a></span></center><br /><center>Realms (May 5, 2009) </center><br /><center>by</center><br /><center><span style="font-size:130%;color:#006600;"><a href="http://www.riosbrook.org/store/pc/home.asp">Linda Rios Brook</a></span></center><br /><br /><br /><span style="font-size:100%;color:#ff6600;">ABOUT THE AUTHOR:</span><br /><br /><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_m32TlugOPkM/Si8PFWEQrII/AAAAAAAACyY/Wsy0zBmUHz4/s1600-h/Lindabio09.jpg"><img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 298px; height: 320px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_m32TlugOPkM/Si8PFWEQrII/AAAAAAAACyY/Wsy0zBmUHz4/s320/Lindabio09.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5345507867209280642" /></a>Linda Rios Brook, President of the RiosBrook Foundation, believes the answers to issues of social justice and righteousness lie in the proper alignment between the church, the marketplace and media and entertainment. A set of scrolls, delivered by a man she knows nothing about, tells a fascinating and frightening tale of what went on behind the scenes of biblical history. What is even more incredible is who is telling the tale--a fallen angel who immediately regretted his decision to side with Lucifer.<br /><br />With The Deliverer, Linda Rios Brook brings new depth of imagery into the spirit world. It is a story about rebellion and consequences. It is about demonic strategy to disrupt and destroy the people of God. But ultimately, it is a story about the unrelenting love, grace, mercy, and determination of a sovereign God in pursuit of His children. <br /><br />If you would like to read the first chapter of <a href="http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/1599794764">The Deliverer</a>, go <a href="http://thestorybeginnings.blogspot.com/2009/06/deliverer-chapter-1.html">HERE</a><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:100%;color:#333333;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: 13px; "><b><br /></b></span></span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: 13px; font-weight: bold; "><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color:#663366;">The book link is: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/1599794764</span></span></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div></div><div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/7278530412480748616-5353536429346301717?l=carolkeen.blogspot.com'/></div>Carol E. Dennis is grief stricken beyond words by the death of his beloved wife and now he is in grave danger thanks to his largest mistake thus far. Flailing about in horrific case of writer's block, Dennis used someone else's work. Everything was fine, no no knew..until now. Is Dennis Shore loosing his mind, being haunted, or have his sins just all found him out? Cillian's threats are very real, and the stakes keep getting higher and higher. Dennis is going to have to come to terms with what he had done, all that he hasn't done, and where does or doesn't God fit.</div><div><br /></div><div>Read a copy fast, and while no scary book or movie has ever really really scared me, this one will put you on the edge of your seat. Lewis that Travis decided he wanted to be a writer. The dream never left him, and allowed him to fulfill that dream of writing fulltime in 2007.<br /><br />Travis Thrasher is the author of numerous works of fiction, including his most personal and perhaps his deepest work, <a href="http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0802486681">Sky Blue</a>, that was published in summer of 2007. This year he has to novels published, <a href="http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/080248669X">Out of the Devil’s Mouth</a>, and a supernatural thriller, <a href="http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0446505544">Isolation</a>.<br /><br />Travis is married to Sharon and they are the proud parents of Kylie, born in November, 2006, and Hailey, a Shih-Tzu that looks like an Ewok. Now a widower, Dennis is finally alone in his house, his daughter attending college out of state. When he's stricken by a paralyzing case of writer's block and a looming deadline, Dennis becomes desperate. Against better judgment, he claims someone else's writing as his own, accepting undeserved accolades for the stolen work. He thinks he's gotten away with it . . . until he's greeted by a young man named Cillian Reed--the true author of the stolen manuscript.<br /><br />What begins as a minor case of harassment quickly spirals out of control. As Cillian's threats escalate, Dennis finds himself on the brink of losing his career, his sanity, and even his life. The horror he's spent years writing about has arrived on his doorstep, and Dennis has nowhere to run.<br /><br />If you would like to read the first chapter of <a href="http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0446505587">Ghostwriter</a>, go <a href="http://thestorybeginnings.blogspot.com/2009/06/ghostwriter-chapter-1.html">HERE</a><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color:#6600CC;"><br /></span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: 13px; font-weight: bold; "><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color:#6600CC;">The book link is: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0446505587</span></span></div></div><div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/7278530412480748616-5986525494464632501?l=carolkeen.blogspot.com'/></div>Carol E. In fact, <i>Scream</i> by Mike Dellosso should be required reading for church groups. Mr. Dellosso did an incredible job with this book! While I enjoyed <i>The Hunted</i> this book, <i>Scream</i> surpassed it. When I read the first part of the book, where Mr. Dellosso has been dealing with cancer, right then and there I started crying and praying. I couldn't help it. My Mother, as well as some other close family members, have had cancer. I instantly wound up feeling close to Mr. Dellosso and knew this was going to be one powerful book with a far reaching impact. (And I was also excited because Mr. Dellosso is a member of </div><div><span style="font-size:100%;"><a href="http://www.christianfictionblogalliance.com/">Christian Fiction Blog Alliance</a>, as of course am I, and it just made reviewing his books all the more fun!!!) </span></div><div><br /></div><div>Yes, <i>Scream</i> is all that and more. It is very well written, the momentum never stops and the characters are extremely realistic. I felt close to more than one of them, as though they were people I know from my own life. I really liked the way that Mark Stone was hearing the screams from hell. That was done so very very well. This is one book that will keep people thinking for a long time after they read it. It had a wonderful yet slightly bitter-sweet ending. (Nope, I don't tell the endings... you have to go read it yourself!) </div><div><br /></div><div>Carol :) </div><div><br /></div><br /><div align="center"><a href="http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/5500/1432/1600/CFBAreviewer_gif.0.gif"><img style="MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/5500/1432/320/CFBAreviewer_gif.0.gif" border="0" /></a></div><br /><center><span style="font-size:130%;">This week, the</span></center><br /><center><a href="http://www.christianfictionblogalliance.com/"><span style="font-size:100%;">Christian Fiction Blog Alliance</span></a></center><br /><center><span style="font-size:100%;">is introducing</span></center><br /><center><span style="font-size:130%;color:#993300;"> <a href="http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/1599794691">Scream</a></span></center><br /><center>Realms (March 3, 2009) </center><br /><center>by</center><br /><center><span style="font-size:130%;color:#006600;"><a href="http://www.mikedellosso.com/">Mike Dellosso</a></span></center><br /><br /><br /><span style="font-size:100%;color:#ff6600;">ABOUT THE AUTHOR:</span><br /><br /><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_m32TlugOPkM/SFhx6WVR8II/AAAAAAAABkI/IdTO9NbsKDM/s1600-h/mike6small.jpg"><img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_m32TlugOPkM/SFhx6WVR8II/AAAAAAAABkI/IdTO9NbsKDM/s320/mike6small.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5213041815922536578" /></a>Born in Baltimore, Maryland, Mike now lives in Hanover, Pennsylvania, with his wife, Jen, and their three daughters. But then Lillian stumbles onto an unexpected discovery: displayed in the La Rosaleda Gallery is a painting that captures every detail of her most private moment of misery, from the sorrow etched across her face to the sandals on her feet.<br /><br />What kind of artist would dare to intrude on such a personal scene, and how did he happen to witness Lillian’s pain? As the mystery surrounding the portrait becomes entangled with the accident that claimed the lives of her husband and children, Lillian is forced to rethink her assumptions about what really happened that day.<br /><br />A captivating novel rich with detail, Rose House explores how the brushstrokes of pain can illuminate the true beauty of life. <br /><br />If you would like to read an excerpt from <a href="http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/1400073596">Rose House</a>, go <a href="http://thestorybeginnings.blogspot.com/2009/05/rose-house-chapter-1.html">HERE</a></div><div><br /></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: 13px; font-weight: bold; "><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color:#333399;">The book link is: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/1400073596</span></span></div><div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/7278530412480748616-1159191342542089359?l=carolkeen.blogspot.com'/></div>Carol E. Lawhead (Book Three of The Raven Trilogy)<span style=" ;font-family:Arial, sans-serif;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:medium;"><div>Hello Readers! </div><div><br /></div><div>YEAH! I get to write a review for a Stephen R. Lawhead book! (Look out, I might just do reviews on all his books on my own!) The first book written by Mr. Lawhead that I ever read was form <i>The Song of Albion</i> trilogy. I might post on them later, so I will not give all the good stuff away! <g></g></div><div>Suffice it for now to say that I had instantly found one of my new top favorite authors. </div><div><br /></div><div>My only complaint is that I didn't get to read <i>Hood</i> or <i>Scarlet</i> first two book of <i>The Raven Trilogy</i>. I refuse to read the ending of this one until I get to read the first two books. Why? Because I will get them and read them! Meanwhile, back to <i>Tuck</i>! </div><div><br /></div><div>Mr. Lawhead has a gift for taking our favorite legends and showing them in a new light. <i>Tuck</i> follows the Robin Hood legends, but true to his form, it is not just another Robin Hood book. </div><div>This book is told by Friar Tuck. He is working with Bran and his friends to regain their land and Bran's rightful crown. Friar Tuck, a.k.a. Tuck is shown living out his faith. I really like that. God is ever present in our lives, but do we always show Him? </div><div><br /></div><div>I can tell you that I can't wait to read the first two books, and the ending of this one! </div><div>Carol :) </div><div><br /></div>Featured book, </span><b><i><span class="Apple-style-span" style=" ;font-size:medium;">Tuck</span></i><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:medium;"> -</span></b><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:medium;"> </span><a href="http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/1595540873"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:medium;">http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/1595540873</span></a><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:medium;"><br />Stephen R. Ulterior motives, sometimes it seems that everyone has one or more in place. Sometimes we have them and don't know it. In this book there are lots of them for both good and evil. In <i>Ulterior Motives </i>Greg is one of the main characters. His story is so real you could reach out and touch it. I was impressed at the way that Mr. Olsen showed Greg's faith in God, and the incredible way that he wrote about al-Qaeda and one terrorist who is standing on the greatest choice of his life. </div><div><br /></div><div>We are all broken with out remedy and with out God's great grace we would be that way forever. I am so grateful for God's grace and forgiveness! This book shines in showing God's forgiveness, love, grace and mercy while wrapping it all up in a wonderful real life scenario. I have a feeling the depth of the message in this book will be working in me for a while yet. This is a very recommended read.</div><div><br /></div><div>Carol :) </div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div align="center"><a href="http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/5500/1432/1600/CFBAreviewer_gif.0.gif"><img style="MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/5500/1432/320/CFBAreviewer_gif.0.gif" border="0" /></a></div><br /><center><span style="font-size:130%;">This week, the</span></center><br /><center><a href="http://www.christianfictionblogalliance.com/"><span style="font-size:100%;">Christian Fiction Blog Alliance</span></a></center><br /><center><span style="font-size:100%;">is introducing</span></center><br /><center><span style="font-size:130%;color:#993300;"> <a href="http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0764202758">Ulterior Motive</a></span></center><br /><center>Bethany House (March 1, 2009)</center><br /><center>by</center><br /><center><span style="font-size:130%;color:#006600;">Mark Andrew Olsen</span></center><br /><br /><br /><span style="font-size:100%;color:#ff6600;">ABOUT THE AUTHOR:</span><br /><br /><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_cESuxv-WNX8/ReuFUgDs0LI/AAAAAAAAACc/BDlBbLdJRLw/s1600-h/Olsen.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5038267195393364146" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_cESuxv-WNX8/ReuFUgDs0LI/AAAAAAAAACc/BDlBbLdJRLw/s200/Olsen.jpg" border="0" /></a> MARK ANDREW OLSEN whose novel <a href="http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/076422817X">The Assignment</a> was a Christy Award finalist, also collaborated on bestsellers <a href="http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0764229435">Hadassah</a> (now the major motion picture: <a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0430431/">One Night With the King</a>), <a href="http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0764203371">The Hadassah Covenant</a>, and <a href="http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0764202006">Rescued</a>. Yet even under fierce interrogation, the terrorist clings to his jihadist beliefs and refuses to divulge any information. Aggg! Sorry about that!<br /><br />PJ Sugar is one of the main charactors. From the first chapter I would think most of us can realate to her on some level. Her life is in pieces and she is having to deal with the parts again. All her best laid plans have fallen apart, and her past is back to harrass/confront her. PJ's nickname is NBT, Nothing But Trouble because troublesome issues just seem to gravitate to her. PJ has a lot to face as the always in trouble daughter from the wealthy Sugar family.<br /><br />I can tell you that this book is super easy to read. It just flows from page to page, and that Susan Warren has created a fun book here! So far I really like Mrs. Warren's writing style for when I want a fast fun "light" book to read.<br /><br />Carol :)<br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><div align="center"><a href="http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/5500/1432/1600/CFBAreviewer_gif.0.gif"><img style="MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/5500/1432/320/CFBAreviewer_gif.0.gif" border="0" /></a></div><br /><br /><br /><br /><center><span style="font-size:130%;">This week, the</span></center><br /><br /><br /><br /><center><a href="http://www.christianfictionblogalliance.com/"><span style="font-size:100%;">Christian Fiction Blog Alliance</span></a></center><br /><br /><br /><br /><center><span style="font-size:100%;">is introducing</span></center><br /><br /><br /><br /><center><span style="font-size:130%;color:#993300;"><a href="http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/1414313128">Nothing But Trouble</a></span></center><br /><br /><br /><br /><center>Tyndale House Publishers (May 1, 2009)</center><br /><br /><br /><br /><center>by</center><br /><br /><br /><br /><center><span style="font-size:130%;color:#006600;"><a href="http://www.susanmaywarren.com/">Susan May Warren</a></span></center><br /><br /><br /><br /><span style="font-size:100%;color:#ff6600;">ABOUT THE AUTHOR:</span><br /><br /><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_cESuxv-WNX8/RgieUZ030dI/AAAAAAAAAFA/IRalQGvB460/s1600-h/susan+may+warren.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5046457455835861458" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_cESuxv-WNX8/RgieUZ030dI/AAAAAAAAAFA/IRalQGvB460/s320/susan+may+warren.jpg" border="0" /></a>Susan grew up in Wayzata, a suburb of Minneapolis, and became an avid camper from an early age. Her favorite fir-lined spot is the north shore of Minnesota is where she met her husband, honeymooned and dreamed of living.<br /><br />The north woods easily became the foundation for her first series, The Deep Haven series, based on a little tourist town along the shores of Lake Superior. Her first full-length book, Happily Ever After, became a Christy Award Finalist published in 2004 with Tyndale/Heartquest.<br /><br />As an award winning author, Susan returned home in 2004, to her native Minnesota after serving for eight years with her husband and four children as missionaries with SEND International in Far East Russia. She now writes full time from Minnesota's north woods and the beautiful town that she always dreamed of living in.<br /><br />You can sample a chapter of each and every one of Susan's novels, on her website, <a href="http://www.susanmaywarren.com/novels.html">HERE</a>.<br /><br /><br /><br /><strong><span style="font-size:100%;color:#ffcc00;">ABOUT THE BOOK</span></strong><br /><br /><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_m32TlugOPkM/Sfe1UhM6koI/AAAAAAAACvo/_1p2paWhfT0/s1600-h/nothingbuttrouble.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5329928048130822786" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 159px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 242px" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_m32TlugOPkM/Sfe1UhM6koI/AAAAAAAACvo/_1p2paWhfT0/s320/nothingbuttrouble.jpg" border="0" /></a>PJ Sugar knows three things for sure:<br /><br />1) After traveling the country for ten years hoping to shake free from the trail of disaster that's become her life, she needs a fresh start.<br /><br />2) The last person she wants to see when she heads home for her sister's wedding is Boone-her former flame and the reason she left town.<br /><br />3) Her best friend's husband absolutely did not commit the first murder Kellogg, Minnesota, has seen in more than a decade.<br /><br />What PJ doesn't know is that when she starts digging for evidence, she'll uncover much more than she bargained for-a deadly conspiracy, a knack for investigation, and maybe, just maybe, that fresh start she's been longing for.<br /><br />It's not fair to say that trouble happens every time PJ Sugar is around, but it feels that way when she returns to her home town, looking for a fresh start. Within a week, her former teacher is murdered and her best friend's husband is arrested as the number-one suspect. Although the police detective investigating the murder—who also happens to be PJ's former flame—is convinced it's an open-and-shut case, PJ's not so sure. She begins digging for clues in an effort to clear her friend’s husband and ends up reigniting old passions, uncovering an international conspiracy, and solving a murder along the way. She also discovers that maybe God can use a woman who never seems to get it right.<br /><br />If you would like to read the first chapter of <a href="http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/1414313128">Nothing But Trouble</a>, go <a href="http://thestorybeginnings.blogspot.com/2009/04/nothing-but-trouble-chapter-1.html">HERE</a><br /><br /><br /><br /><span style="color:#3333ff;">The book link is: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/1414313128</span><div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/7278530412480748616-4863029756134092618?l=carolkeen.blogspot.com'/></div>Carol E. It is like a cross between Magnuim PI and Indian Jones. <g> The main character seemingly wrote the book, so you get to read it all from a first person perspective. While I am still not at all sure what Dr. Jake Hawthorne really looks like, I feel like I have read his autobiography of this adventure he lived through. That is a pretty neat way to write a book if you ask me!<br /><br />Jake Hawthrone finds himself eye-ball and gun point deep in a mystery that he wonders if God would even allow, while his ex-finace' is by his side making matter both better and worse. This book is definatly worth reading, and I am so glad I was able to read it while on a short trip! That has been a great deal of enjoyment for me.<br /><br />Check it out when you get time!<br />Carol :)<br /><br /><br /><br /><div align="center"><a href="http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/5500/1432/1600/CFBAreviewer_gif.0.gif"><img style="MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/5500/1432/320/CFBAreviewer_gif.0.gif" border="0" /></a></div><br /><br /><center><span style="font-size:130%;">This week, the</span></center><br /><br /><center><a href="http://www.christianfictionblogalliance.com/"><span style="font-size:100%;">Christian Fiction Blog Alliance</span></a></center><br /><br /><center><span style="font-size:100%;">is introducing</span></center><br /><br /><center><span style="font-size:130%;color:#993300;"><a href="http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0764205609">Elisha's Bones</a></span></center><br /><br /><center>(Bethany House March 1, 2009)</center><br /><br /><center>by</center><br /><br /><center><span style="font-size:130%;color:#006600;"><a href="http://www.donhoesel.com/">Don Hoesel</a></span></center><br /><br /><br /><span style="font-size:100%;color:#ff6600;">ABOUT THE AUTHOR:</span><br /><br /><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_m32TlugOPkM/Se598aPU0jI/AAAAAAAACvQ/4PR9iGqsstE/s1600-h/donhoesel.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5327333886015099442" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 223px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 293px" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_m32TlugOPkM/Se598aPU0jI/AAAAAAAACvQ/4PR9iGqsstE/s320/donhoesel.jpg" border="0" /></a>Don Hoesel was born and raised in Buffalo, NY but calls Spring Hill, TN home. Even if just for a week or two. But this year, his plans are derailed when he's offered almost a blank check from a man chasing a rumor.<br /><br />Billionaire Gordon Reese thinks he knows where the bones of the prophet Elisha are--bones that in the Old Testament brought the dead back to life. The bones of the prophet once raised the dead to life... but they vanished from history in a whisper.<br /><br />Bankrolled by a dying man of unlimited means, Hawthorne's hunt spans the globe and leads him into a deadly conspiracy older than the church itself. A born skeptic, Jack doesn't think much of the assignment but he could use the money, so he takes the first step on a chase for the legendary bones that will take him to the very ends of the earth.<br /><br />But he's not alone. Joined with a fiery colleague, Esperanza Habilla, they soon discover clues to a shadowy organization whose long-held secrets have been protected . . . at all costs. And he soon discovers those sworn to keep the secret of the bones will do anything to protect them. As their lives are threatened again and again, the real race is to uncover the truth before those chasing them hunt them down.<br /><br />If you would like to read the first chapter of <a href="http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0764205609">Elisha's Bones</a>, go <a href="http://thestorybeginnings.blogspot.com/2009/04/elishas-bones-chapter-1.html">HERE</a><br /><br /><span style="color:#000099;">The book link is: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0764205609</span><div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/7278530412480748616-6385289316007610226?l=carolkeen.blogspot.com'/></div>Carol E. Enter a world rich with high seas adventure, mystery, love and death and a carefuly told tale.<br /><br />Come on now, ye know ye love a good tale! I don't think ye will be a'sleepn during it either! Plenty a fights and swords cross, cannons, guns and underwater "monkeys" that suck the marrow out of ye bones. And if it be love ye seek, then ye will not want to miss this one, for love gone all around and strange is 'tween the pages of this one. In some ways some of the contrasts in this book caused my mind to compared this book with the movie "Silence of the Lambs". Why, well because <em>Boneman's Daughters</em> shows one of the most drastic, plain, clearly drawn, tortured evil that has come against truly misled innocence that has been manipulated, and the search for real love.<br /><br />Unlike<em> Obsessed,</em> which was also very good, this book is on a whole different level to my way of thinking and reading. It really shows that Mr. Dekker "took things up a notch" and laid bare more of the horrible real word truths for all to read. I am not at all sorry that I read it. While in some ways it is one of the scariest things I have ever read, it is also a story of love, second chances and redemption. The myriad of different views points of the cast of characters was not lost on me at all. We each have things we must do in our lives, but how far could you or I really go pushed to the limit? I hope you never have to find out because it is not normally a pleasant journey.<br /><br />A recommended read if you aren't too squeamish, don't have nightmares easily, and can look death in the face and work to keep thinking.<br />Carol :)<br /><br /><br /><div align="center"><a href="http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/5500/1432/1600/CFBAreviewer_gif.0.gif"><img style="MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/5500/1432/320/CFBAreviewer_gif.0.gif" border="0" /></a></div><br /><br /><center><span style="font-size:130%;">This week, the</span></center><br /><br /><center><a href="http://www.christianfictionblogalliance.com/"><span style="font-size:100%;">Christian Fiction Blog Alliance</span></a></center><br /><br /><center><span style="font-size:100%;">is introducing</span></center><br /><br /><br /><center><span style="font-size:130%;color:#993300;"><a href="http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/1599951959">Boneman's Daughters</a></span></center><br /><br /><center>Center Street (April 14, 2009)</center><br /><br /><center>by</center><br /><br /><center><span style="font-size:130%;color:#006600;"><a href="http://www.teddekker.com/">Ted Dekker</a></span></center><br /></span><br /><br /><br /><span style="font-size:100%;color:#ff6600;">ABOUT THE AUTHOR:</span><br /><br /><br /><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_m32TlugOPkM/SWpuHkb8JeI/AAAAAAAACe4/AwwK9fzmBXA/s1600-h/ted_dekker.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5290161788619072994" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 139px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 200px" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_m32TlugOPkM/SWpuHkb8JeI/AAAAAAAACe4/AwwK9fzmBXA/s200/ted_dekker.jpg" border="0" /></a>Ted is the son of missionaries John and Helen Dekker, whose incredible story of life among headhunters in Indonesia has been told in several books. Surrounded by the vivid colors of the jungle and a myriad of cultures, each steeped in their own interpretation of life and faith, Dekker received a first-class education on human nature and behavior. This, he believes, is the foundation of his writing.<br /><br />After graduating from a multi-cultural high school, he took up permanent residence in the United States to study Religion and Philosophy. Ugg! Good thing I got to read this great book first! :D This was my first "adult" novel by Rober Liparulo. I was *NOT* disapointed at all! I really enjoyed this book. Deadlock hooks you in by the first chapter and you just want to keep reading non-stop. Mr. Liparulo's showed wonderful understanding of software as well as military tatics just made this book real. I am thrilled to know that some of his other books will be movies, because I will want to see them as well.<br /><br />The thing that most moved me about this book was the base truth of how we train our young men in the military. This book should be a must read for anyone who has a loved one in the military, just from the standpoint that they do not come back home the same as they left. There is so much we have yet to learn!<br /><br />Anyway, before I digress horribly, I would recomend this book for reading in an instant! In fact, I can't wait to read more of Mr. Liparulo's work!<br /><br />Carol :)<br /><br /><br /><br /><div align="center"><a href="http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/5500/1432/1600/CFBAreviewer_gif.0.gif"><img style="MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/5500/1432/320/CFBAreviewer_gif.0.gif" border="0" /></a></div><br /><br /><center><span style="font-size:130%;">This week, the</span></center><br /><br /><center><a href="http://www.christianfictionblogalliance.com/"><span style="font-size:100%;">Christian Fiction Blog Alliance</span></a></center><br /><br /><center><span style="font-size:100%;">is introducing</span></center><br /><br /><center><span style="font-size:130%;color:#993300;"><a href="http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/1595541667">Deadlock</a></span></center><br /><br /><center>Thomas Nelson (April 2009)</center><br /><br /><center>by</center><br /><br /><center><span style="font-size:130%;color:#006600;"><a href="http://www.robertliparulo.com/">Robert Liparulo</a></span></center><br /><br /><br /><span style="font-size:100%;color:#ff6600;">ABOUT THE AUTHOR:</span><br /><br /><br /><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_m32TlugOPkM/SeKAhgcslJI/AAAAAAAACuY/19FSmxa2xec/s1600-h/Liparulo+piccasual.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5323959022639682706" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 145px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 199px" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_m32TlugOPkM/SeKAhgcslJI/AAAAAAAACuY/19FSmxa2xec/s320/Liparulo+piccasual.jpg" border="0" /></a>Robert Liparulo is a former journalist, with over a thousand articles and multiple writing awards to his name. Readers of his action-thrillers were not surprised when his visual storytelling style caught the eye of Hollywood producers. Currently, three of his novels for adults are in various stages of development for the big screen: the film rights to <a href="http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/1595542299">Comes A Horseman</a> were purchased by the producer of Tom Clancy’s movies; and Liparulo is penning the screenplays for <a href="http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0785261788">GERM</a> and <a href="http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0785261796">Deadfall</a> for two top producers. He is also working with the director Andrew Davis (<i>The Fugitive, Holes</i>) on a political thriller. Novelist Michael Palmer calls <i>Deadfall</i> “a brilliantly crafted thriller.” March 31st marked the publication of <i>Deadfall’s</i> follow-up, <i>Deadlock</i>, which novelist Gayle Lynds calls, “best of high-octane suspense.”<br /><br />Liparulo’s bestselling young adult series, <i>Dreamhouse Kings</i>, debuted last year with <i>House of Dark Shadows</i> and <i>Watcher in the Woods</i>. Book three, <i>Gatekeepers</i> released in January, and number four, <i>Timescape</i>, comes out in July. The series has garnered praise from readers, both young and old, as well as attracting famous fans who themselves know the genre inside and out. Of the series Goosebumps creator R.L. Stine says, “I loved wandering around in these books. With a house of so many great, haunting stories, why would you ever want to go outside?”<br /><br />He is currently working on his next thriller, which for the first time injects a bit of the supernatural into his gun-blazing stories. The story is so compelling, two Hollywood studios are already in talks to acquire it—despite its publication date being more than a year away. After that comes a trilogy of novels, based on the critically acclaimed short story he contributed to James Patterson’s <i>Thriller</i> anthology. <i>New York Times</i> bestselling author Steve Berry calls Liparulo’s writing “Inventive, suspenseful, and highly entertaining . . . Robert Liparulo is a storyteller, pure and simple.” He lives with his family in Colorado.<br /><br /><br /><strong><span style="font-size:100%;color:#ffcc00;">ABOUT THE BOOK</span></strong><br /><br /><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_m32TlugOPkM/SeKACGo2b5I/AAAAAAAACuQ/FwxrtepBL84/s1600-h/Deadlock.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5323958483135393682" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 217px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 320px" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_m32TlugOPkM/SeKACGo2b5I/AAAAAAAACuQ/FwxrtepBL84/s320/Deadlock.jpg" border="0" /></a>John Hutchinson thinks it's no coincidence that Brendan Page runs this modern Praetorian Guard, and that the billionaire military industrialist must have had something to do with the atrocities his son Declan committed in Canada. The Canadian and U.S. Justice departments disagree, but Hutch has been digging for dirt ever since.<br /><br />Brendan Page has some dirty not-so-little secrets. he's built an empire on supplying futuristic weapons and highly trained soldiers to the world's most powerful armies. But he's saved his most destructive weapons for himself.<br /><br />When Hutch discovers the secret of Page's success, Page decides to teach him a lesson. But the operation goes terribly wrong, and Hutch's son is kidnapped. While a lone man stands little chance against the best black op soldiers ever issued M-16s, Hutch manages to survive longer than Page anticipated. As far as Hutch is concerned, high-tech helmets, machine guns, and hand grenades are nothing compared to a man determined to save his son. It's a lesson he sets out to teach Page-and one that he can only hope works as well in the real world as it does in his heart.<br /><br />If you would like to read the first chapter of <a href="http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/1595541667">Deadlock</a>, go <a href="http://thestorybeginnings.blogspot.com/2009/04/deadlock-chapter-1.html">HERE</a><br /><br /><span style="color:#3333ff;">The book link is: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/1595541667</span><div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/7278530412480748616-150638270934607659?l=carolkeen.blogspot.com'/></div>Carol E. This book contains a *wonderful* update and flow from Mr. Myers that kept me from worrying about what I didn't know from the first voice. Satan and his workers are alive and well, but God is bigger....ALWAYS! But if you are the one in the middle of the stress, in the middle of the mess, it is harder to work through and keep your faith in God growing. This book came to me in a time that I just needed to read it. I needed this story this week and I am thankful for it! </div><div><br /></div><div>YES.. read this one! </div><div>Carol :) </div><div><br /></div><div><br /><div align="center"><a href="http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/5500/1432/1600/CFBAreviewer_gif.0.gif"><img style="MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/5500/1432/320/CFBAreviewer_gif.0.gif" border="0" /></a></div><br /><center><span style="font-size:130%;">This week, the</span></center><br /><center><a href="http://www.christianfictionblogalliance.com/"><span style="font-size:100%;">Christian Fiction Blog Alliance</span></a></center><br /><center><span style="font-size:100%;">is introducing</span></center><br /><center><span style="font-size:130%;color:#993300;"> <a href="http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0446698008">Angel Of Wrath</a></span></center><br /><center>FaithWords (April 8, 2009) </center><br /><center>by</center><br /><center><span style="font-size:130%;color:#006600;"><a href="http://www.billmyers.com/">Bill Myers</a></span></center><br /><br /><br /><span style="font-size:100%;color:#ff6600;">ABOUT THE AUTHOR:</span><br /><br /><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_m32TlugOPkM/SdLHh9fIutI/AAAAAAAACtc/q49S8PhVvig/s1600-h/bill_new_picture.jpg"><img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 78px; height: 100px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_m32TlugOPkM/SdLHh9fIutI/AAAAAAAACtc/q49S8PhVvig/s320/bill_new_picture.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5319533496132745938" /></a>Well, one thing led to another and even though I got C's in my one writing class in college (and told God I could do anything for him but write) I got my first writing job for a TV series. And then another and then some directing jobs and finally some books. (I think I've written and/or directed a few dozen films and about 60 books). The projects have won about 40 awards, I get to travel all over the world, and I'm having the time of my life. I often think that none of this would have happened if I lived my life my way. I would have never chosen writing and directing for a living. Instead, I might be in somebody's mouth this very minute drilling away as a dentist. Don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with being a dentist, it's just not what I was designed for. So, everywhere I go, I encourage people to say yes to God, no matter how foolish it may feel, because by doing that, they'll be in the center of His will and living a cooler life than they'd ever dreamed possible. It's not always easy and it can be a little scary…but it's anything but boring!<br /><br />Today I live in California, not too far from Hollyweird (where I'm still trying to make a difference) with two cats, two kids, one dog and one wife.<br /><br />Another Faithword book by Bill Myers is <a href="http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0446697990">The Voice</a>.<br /><br /><br /><strong><span style="font-size:100%;color:#ffcc00;">ABOUT THE BOOK</span></strong><br /><br /><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_m32TlugOPkM/SdLChZxklEI/AAAAAAAACtM/777pLwO7Osg/s1600-h/angelofwrath.jpg"><img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 159px; height: 240px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_m32TlugOPkM/SdLChZxklEI/AAAAAAAACtM/777pLwO7Osg/s320/angelofwrath.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5319527988988253250" /></a>Thirteen-year-old Jazmin, her ex-Special Ops uncle Charlie, and former FBI agent Lisa are reunited in the second of the Voice of God series to stop a an assassin driven to murder members of a megachurch led by Lisa's brother. This assassin has drawn in a coven of teens toying with satanic practices to support his efforts. The naive youth engage in ceremonies that appear to usher in the death of each of his victims. When their rituals open a portal into the spiritual realm, a terrifying and mysterious entity crosses over to our world.</div><div><br />The battle culminates with the capture of Lisa's father as the next target and a Black Mass requiring both their deaths as a sacrifice. Brill and Kurt's situation was a wonderful story of its own, that was only more dramatic while placed into the setting of Brill's work as a Police Chief. The suspense of the book was just right! It never let up, but it also never got so thick that you couldn't keep up with it either. I really did enjoy this book, and I wouldn't mind reading the next book in the Sophie Trace series! I also liked how Mrs. Herman created Sophie Trace. I grew up very near to Tennessee, so I really liked the setting for this book. </div><div><br /></div><div>Carol :) </div><div><br /><br /><div align="center"><a href="http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/5500/1432/1600/CFBAreviewer_gif.0.gif"><img style="MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/5500/1432/320/CFBAreviewer_gif.0.gif" border="0" /></a></div><br /><center><span style="font-size:130%;">This week, the</span></center><br /><center><a href="http://www.christianfictionblogalliance.com/"><span style="font-size:100%;">Christian Fiction Blog Alliance</span></a></center><br /><center><span style="font-size:100%;">is introducing</span></center><br /><center><span style="font-size:130%;color:#993300;"> <a href="http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/1434767868">The Real Enemy</a></span></center><br /><center>David C. She may be a pro at finding clues, but she tends to ignore the obvious in her personal life. And she would rather work than deal with the bitterness she feels about her husband Kurt's infidelity. Kurt, is weighed down by her unrelenting anger as he struggles to let God redeem the stupidest mistake he ever made. He is genuinely contrite and making every effort to show his commitment to Brill. But she hides behind her badge and her bitterness, deciding that moving her family away from Memphis is the only change she needs to make. So why can't Brill get over this anger?<br /><br />Before she ever has time to unpack her boxes, people start disappearing. Lots of them. Seven people in seven days To complicate matters, a local legend has many residents believing that the cause is unearthly─tied to the “red shadows,” or spirits of the departed Cherokee who once inhabited the land.<br /><br />While Brill draws on all of her experience and instinct to solve the case, she must confront an enemy that threatens everything she holds dear─one that cannot be stopped with a badge and a gun. She is forced to confront the real enemy.<br /><br />If you would like to read the first chapter of <a href="http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/1434767868">The Real Enemy</a>, go <a href="http://thestorybeginnings.blogspot.com/2009/03/real-enemy-chapter-1.html">HERE</a></div><div><br /></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: 13px; font-weight: bold; "><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(51, 51, 255);">The book link is: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/1434767868</span></span><br /></div></div><div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/7278530412480748616-2862952091969567184?l=carolkeen.blogspot.com'/></div>Carol E. The kind you can finish up in one afternoon and just smile about. This is my second book I have ever read by Wanda Brunstetter. She has the same relaxing easy reading style with this book as before. One thing I really enjoyed about the book was the baby lamb who lost a leg. Why? Well, not that long ago one one of my Pomeranian moms had her first litter. She panicked with the first baby and something I have never had happen before happened. The first born little girl lost her leg, from the knee down! What is so ironic is that we called her Tripod for quite a while. Then I sort of wondered if it sounded mean, to name her after a camera tripod, though both are 3 legged, and we started calling her Trixie. <g> Much like the lamb also named Tripod in this book, my little gal has thrived. I really enjoyed this book so much! I have so many favorite parts, but the first one that stuck into my mind was when Hunter is being told about Author. I simply loved that because the minute I read it in the book, into my head popped how God is the Author and finisher of our faith. Things that like that never stopped coming to my mind as I read this book. It is an enticing story that just keeps getting better and better as you read. ;) I am not going to tell you too much about it, because I do want you to read it!!! I will tell you this, you will be wishing you had read it, and wondering if you are a Codebearer or not until the day you read this book and find out what is truth, and what is fiction. </span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 12px;"><br /></span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 12px;">Carol :) </span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 12px;"><br /></span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 12px;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-size:9.0pt;font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"; mso-fareast-font-family:"Times New Roman";mso-ansi-language:EN-US;mso-fareast-language: EN-US;mso-bidi-language:AR-SA">Featured book, <b><i>Hunter Brown and the Secret of the Shadow</i> -</b> <a href="http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/1593173288">http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/1593173288</a> .<br /> the Miller Brothers’ <b>Web site -</b> <a href="http://www.codebearers.com/">http://www.codebearers.com/</a><br /> the Miller Brothers’ <b>blog - </b><a href="http://themillerbrothers.blogspot.com/">http://themillerbrothers.blogspot.com/</a><br /> <br /></span></div><div><br /></div>Participants’ Links:<br /><br /><a href="http://www.christiansciencefiction.blogspot.com/"> Brandon Barr</a><br /><a href="http://www.AdventuresInFiction.blogspot.com/"> Keanan Brand</a><br /><a href="http://www.thebooknook08.blogspot.com/"> Melissa Carswell</a><br /><a href="http://invalslittleworld.blogspot.com/"> Valerie Comer</a><br /><a href="http://www.the160acrewoods.com/"> Amy Cruson</a><br /><a href="http://csffblogtour.com/"> CSFF Blog Tour</a><br /><a href="http://word-up-studies.blogspot.com/"> Stacey Dale</a><br /><a href="http://www.scificatholic.com/"> D. Since I have satellite internet, I then wound up with out 'net till now! So now here I am! But I am sure it isn't midnight some where, so maybe I am not too late! </div><div><br /></div><div>This was a wonderful book! I had just joined this group when I missed the first book, <span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-style: italic; ">Auralia's Colors</span> . When the sequel came in, I couldn't stand it! I ordered <span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-style: italic;">Auralia's Colors</span> as quickly as I could! I found it to be a really wonderful book, and I am so glad I got to read it before reading <span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-style: italic;">Cyndere's Midnigh</span>t because I felt like I knew so much more of the history that lead up and into this book. </div><div><br /></div><div>In <span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-style: italic; ">Auralia's Colors</span> we met a girl with a fantastic gift, who doesn't know why she has this gift or exactly what the purpose is, only that she *must* use it. She made some friends and fans along the way and in<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-style: italic;"> Cyndere's Midnight</span> some of them are included. The town/palace had changed to a neighboring one. Here another girl name Cyndere dreams of taming the Beastmen who raid and murder all across the lands between the kingdoms. </div><div><br /></div><div>Auralia's color gift now absent, Jordam, like the other Beastmen is in trouble. He is addicted to a drink, that is quite akin to a drug. When Jordam meets Cyndere he sees a kindred spirit. Cyndere is the last of a royal line, so she is ever guarded and ever alone and hurting over her life. Will Cyndere live to see the day when the Beastmen are free of their addiction and her heart doesn't hurt anymore? And where does the Ale Boy, who so cared for Auralia fit into all of this?</div><div><br /></div><div>I am not going to tell you because I want you to read this book! It was wonderful! </div><div>I am happily waiting for the third book. Mr. Overstreet's writing is different and refeshing.</div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-style: italic;">Cyndere's Midnight</span> reminds of me a pebble tossed into a pond. Let's watch where all the ripples lead. </div><div><br /></div><div>Carol :) </div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><span style="font-size:9.0pt;font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"; mso-fareast-font-family:"Times New Roman";mso-ansi-language:EN-US;mso-fareast-language: EN-US;mso-bidi-language:AR-SA">Featured book, <b><i>Cyndere’s Midnight</i> -</b> <a href="http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/1400072530">http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/1400072530</a><br /><b>Jeffrey Overstreet’s Web site -</b> <a href="http://lookingcloser.org/">http://lookingcloser.org/</a><br /><b>Jeffrey Overstreet’s blog - </b><a href="http://lookingcloser.org/category/journal/">http://lookingcloser.org/category/journal/</a><br /><b>Jeffrey Overstreet at Facebook -</b> <a href="http://www.facebook.com/people/Jeffrey-Overstreet/42902959">http://www.facebook.com/people/Jeffrey-Overstreet/42902959</a></span><br /><br /><br />Participants’ Links:<br /><a href="http://www.christiansciencefiction.blogspot.com/"> Brandon Barr</a><br /><a href="http://www.AdventuresInFiction.blogspot.com/"> Keanan Brand</a><br /><a href="http://bookshiddencorner.blogspot.com/"> Rachel Briard</a><br /><a href="http://www.blogger.com/www.thebooknook08.blogspot.com"> Melissa Carswell</a><br /><a href="http://invalslittleworld.blogspot.com/"> Valerie Comer</a><br /><a href="http://www.the160acrewoods.com/"> Amy Cruson</a><br /><a href="http://csffblogtour.com/"> CSFF Blog Tour</a><br /><a href="http://word-up-studies.blogspot.com/"> Stacey Dale</a><br /><a href="http://www.scificatholic.com/"> D. If it weren't enough to try to take care of each other, and retrieve their missing Mother, the Kings are find out that this house has powers that are more far reaching than anyone could have imagined. They have people seeking to help them and people seeking to destroy them. Jesse, a very elderly man who is there to help, or maybe not just confused matters even more for the young Kings. </div><div><br /></div><div>Figuring out who you can and can't trust takes some of us a lifetime, but the King's don't have a lifetime to sort out this mess. He will pick a winner next week!!!!<br /></strong></span><br />In the third novel of this young adult series, the mystery deepens in a house that is more than meets the eye.<br /><br />The Kings have been in the creepy old place, their new home, for only a few days, but they've experienced enough terror to last a lifetime. And the mystery is growing even more baffling. Shadowy and shifting, the big house conceals doors into other worlds that blur the line between memories and dreams-and the slightest misstep can change history forever.<br /><br />At least, that's if they believe the trembling old man who shows up claiming to know them. "There's a reason you're in the house," he tells them. "As gatekeepers, we must make sure only those events that are supposed to happen get through to the future."<br /><br />The problem is that horrors beyond description wait on the other side of those gates. As if that weren't enough, the Kings are also menaced by sinister forces on this side-like the dark, ancient stranger Taksidian, who wants them out now.<br /><br />It's hard to believe that things could have gotten worse for the King family-but they have. Dad's in handcuffs, the school bully has just found the secret portal that leads from the high school to the house, and Xander is sure he's found Mom, but they can't get back to her. Then Jesse arrives, and he seems to be a virtual Obi Wan of knowledge about the place. But is he the key they need to unlock the secrets, or just a crazy old man?<br /><br />Dangers are increasing from within and without when Xander makes a startling discovery that explains why they haven't found any rooms that lead to the future. Alongside the threats, though, they're also starting to find some surprising allies. All they have to do is get organized, get psyched, and get Mom. But that isn't nearly as easy as it sounds.<br /><br />Xander, David, and Toria must venture beyond the gates to save their missing mother-and discover how truly high the stakes have become.<br /><br />If you would like to read the first chapter of <a href="http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/1595544984">Gatekeepers<br />(Dreamhouse Kings #3)</a>, go <a href="http://thestorybeginnings.blogspot.com/2009/01/gatekeepers-dreamhouse-kings-3-thomas.html">HERE</a><div><br />What they're saying:<br /><br /><blockquote><strong>Review</strong><br />"If you like creepy and mysterious, this is the house for you!
