As soon as we discovered our error, we not only stopped collecting WiFi data entirely, but also grounded our fleet of cars globally to give us time to remove the WiFi scanning equipment and discuss what had happened with local regulators.\u003cbr /\u003e\u003cbr /\u003eThe WiFi data collection equipment has been removed from our cars in\u003cbr /\u003eeach country and the independent security experts \u003ca href\u003d\"http://www.strozfriedberg.com/\"\u003eStroz Friedberg\u003c/a\u003e have\u003cbr /\u003eapproved a protocol to ensure any WiFi-related software is also\u003cbr /\u003eremoved from the cars before they start driving again. *\u003cbr /\u003e\u003cbr /\u003eHaving spoken to the relevant regulators we have decided to start\u003cbr /\u003eStreet View driving in Ireland, Norway, South Africa and Sweden again\u003cbr /\u003estarting next week.
