Rohnda Pagan (aka Malawi Mother) has written an excellent article for us on the beautiful Malawi cichlid, Metriaclima estherae (Konings, 1995). This stunning fish is widely known in the cichlid hobby as the Red Zebra. We would also like to thank Evan Bowers for his excellent photographic contributions for the article. Just testing out this little feature thingy. This is the cute little Neochromis sp. 'Madonna' from Lake Victoria. It's so named because of the black 'roots' along the base of the dorsal fin.
