to clarify:

by "we" i mean persons over the age of 7 or 8 in contemporary post-industrial society. people who are more than likely reading the blog post.

i am saying that the development into ordinary concrete operations naturally brings with it cause and effect reasoning and a relinquishing of prerational ideas.
