New Show(s)/New Record/New Year

It has been awhile. Happy New Year. Haven't played out in a couple months. We've been really busy working on the new album. Gotten quite a lot done. Still recording though; mixing, mastering and releasing soon. Can't Wait. In the mean time we are going to start playing some shows around Chicago. The first one being on Friday February 6th at Double Door. Joining us will be Skybox (www.myspace.com/skybox), Mr. Gnome (www.myspace.com/mrgnome), and Awesome Gary (www.myspace.com/thatsawesomegary). Tickets are $5 at the door and we would love to see you there.

1."THANK YOU" to everyone that made it out to the show at the Empty Bottle...(this is a little overdue, but nonetheless sincere)

2. We are playing in Chicago at the The Metro on Saturday October 11th. Catfish Haven, Brighton Ma and Rego play as well. Caftish and Brighton are both releasing records. The Record Low plays second @ 9:45. Jordy Kozer will be on the skin tip.

3. We are still recording, the album is almost done. Seriously.

To quote my friend Bricco from the Blueheels, "Got a lot of donkeys on irons" right now. I think it means the same thing as "a lot of pans in the fire." Show-wise right now : Sat. July 26th : Road America/Rolling Stone Stage in Elkhart Lake, WI; Fri. Aug 15th: Cactus Club in Milwaukee, WI (w/ Into Arcadia); Fri. Aug. 22nd: Empty Bottle in Chicago, IL (w/ Midstates). We are also working on some dates in the UK for September...We'll be there for a little over a week, and be playing five or six shows, which i'll post in another week or two...

We are playing at Subterranean this Saturday *june 28th* in Chicago with Mr. Gnome and Blueblood. Both really good bands. Doors are at 9 and the show starts at 9:30. Rounding out the rhythm section this time around will be Isaac Pierce (from ten-speed) and Shawn Rios (of the late Cracklin' Moth). As far as the new record goes, Henry and I are still working on it. Expect a release of some sort towards the end of summer...

it looks like we'll be playing a fair amount of shows out of town this spring/summer. hopefully hitting the coasts in june/july.
our myspace page will probably be the most up to date as far as that goes. right now we are working on filling in a couple more dates in april/may. we are scheduled to play kenosha, lake villa, madison, milwaukee, new york and chicago as of now. we'll be playing these with a full band. our next chicago show is on friday april 4th at double door. we are playing with ten-speed, our friends electric, and moxie motive. hammering away at the new songs still. expect to hear more each show. take care. see you soon.

Just wanted to say hello and let everyone know what's happening these days. Henry and I have moved into a new work space. It's a little more intimate, meaning: much smaller, than some of our previous digs, but right now it's treating us really well. We have been and will continue to be demo-ing and fine tuning new songs for our next record. We are both really excited right now about the way things are sounding. We have some shows coming up in the next few months also. The first one being in Chicago at Subterranean on Friday, February 29th with our friends the Championship and the Blueheels. Both really good bands that if you haven't heard yet, you should check out. We'll be playing around the midwest alot too in the early spring summer. I'll post those dates soon...Hope everyone is doing well...we will see you soon.

Hi all. We are playing next Wednesday (the 26th) at Schubas. It's the day after Christmas, and in keeping with the holiday spirit we'll be giving away copies of a short live ep recorded last month in New York. There'll be a limited run of 150 or so and we probably won't print anymore after this. Our way of saying thank you to all of our friends.
Also playing Wednesday are Pistols at Dawn and Joe Pug. The show starts a bit earlier..(doors at 7, Pistols and Joe at 8 and 9, respectively, and the Record Low at 10). Hope you can make it. This will be the last show Hank and I play for while. After the New Year, we are going to disappear for a bit and start working on the new record, which should be done in the spring.

is a Guided by Voices song, and it's awesome. the Record Low is playing this saturday at the Empty Bottle. We go on around 11:30. Come early to catch Bad Veins and the Swimmers (both good bands from Ohio and Pennsylvania, respectively). Hope everyone is staying warm in Chicago. It's freezing, literally, outside which means it's time to start recording our next album which will be out early next year. In the mean-time (?) we'll be releasing a live e.p., which should be out in some fashion in the next week or so....see you soon.

Hi. We are playing this Saturday at the Empty Bottle. Justin is no longer playing drums with us. Instead we will be having our friends, both old and new, join us on stage to play some songs/make a racket. It'll be pretty loose. Hope you can make it. Bad Veins and the Swimmers play also. We go on around 11:30/midnight-ish. Also, i'll be posting some new songs on the Myspace player from our Show in New York very soon. They'll be downloadable...feel free to do that...

We are playing this Friday at Subterranean with Bat Masterson and the Blueheels...both good friends of ours from Chicago and Madison respectively. Show starts around 9 and we go on between 11 and 12...tickets are $8 and if you want to get em now you can do see via www.subt.net....See you there...

Seasons are changing here again Chicago. Looks like things are starting to come together for the fall. We'll be playing in Chicago on Friday November 2nd at Subterranean. I'll post the details for the show soon. After that, we're going to be playing a handful of shows around the midwestern area of the US and possibly a few out east...again, details soon. Here Comes the Flood and Hard to Find a Friend, two weblogs about music, recently featured our album "Here to Stay". Both sites are definately worth checking out if you are looking for some new and interesting music...and speaking of albums, we've started working on our next one. It should be out early next year....See you soon.
