Interior Design is one of these unique fields represented, and Sally Cathcart is currently a Disney Professional Intern in this area. The intricate design and attention to detail are what make each Disney resort so unique, and in preserving that distinction Sally is allowed to take a lot of creative liberties with her designs. Sally is responsible for anything and everything that goes into a room - from furniture, to carpets, to curtains, to bedding. On a day-to-day basis, Sally incorporates drawings into a design program called Auto CAD, works in Photoshop, takes measurements, visits resorts to take photographs, picks out furniture, meets with brand representatives and more. She says being given so much responsibility and trust has been a huge confidence boost for her, and offers a great chance to hone her skills.
When asked if she had any advice for a current participant wanting to apply for the Interior Design internship, she said, "You have to be a team player; you won't do anything completely on your own. Know the Adobe Suite and Auto-CAD like the back of your hand, and never stop thinking of new ideas."
________________________________________

Disney College Program recruiters are visiting campuses across the country, looking for talented students who are seeking a life-changing opportunity! We exist only to help the average person overcome the agony of life-ending disease through knowledge obtained on the web and put into practice by connecting to legitimate medical personnel who offer help and support.

As a business, CIC is employing the David vs. Goliath military strategy in order to grow the business to the same size and scope as WebMD, doing it by market segmentation with nimble and opportunistic growths. We have launched www.coloncancerresource.com and www.breastcancerinsight.com in the second quarter of 2009. We expect to launch www.lungcancerinsight.com , www.breastcancerinsight.com and www.skincancerresource.com in the 3rd and 4th quarter 2009.

The intern can either work upon the current web sites to manage further content, write newsletters, press releases, improve content—or the intern can work upon a completely different medical web site and launch a medical website for diabetes, lymphomas, or several other different diseases.

The intern will assign work to professional writers, organize in our quality driven environment and pass it on to web masters who upload the information to the web. Students are welcome to come to any presentation (presentation schedule is available on-line) or they can apply on-line at www.disneycollegeprogram.com and schedule themselves for a phone interview. It is completely up to the student as to which program they would like to participate on but they are ONLY able to apply for one. Both the Walt Disney World and Disneyland website are available for students to view a presentation on-line and schedule a phone interview. There are a few differences between the two programs, you are highly encouraged to visit the live presentation on campus if you are available (or view our e-presentation on our website at www.disneycollegeprogram.com) to see some of these enhancements. Both programs do offer the educational component of the program (with courses that have been approved by the American Council on Education for 3 credits a piece) although students at Disneyland are required to participate in these classes. Students will still be participating in the same type of roles on both coasts and focusing on building tactical skills, learning guest service, improving communications skills with a diverse audience, and training from a Fortune 100 Company, with opportunities to network with Disney Leaders and open the door for future career advancement. Recently, the work component of the program was also approved by the American Council on Education for credit which they are very excited about since this could broaden the opportunities for students to obtain credit for participation on the program. In addition, they have recently improved their interview process by implementing the Web-based interview by Gallup which recommends right fit talent for our Company.
A few enhancements this season:
You now will be able to view the students offered positions at both WDW and DLR. If you currently do not receive this list and would like to, please just let me know.
In an effort to stay green and support our Company initiative of Environmentality, we are going paperless this season. We will not be collecting applications on campus, student will all be directed to apply on-line and use an electronic signature.
We will not be conducting in-person interviews on campus. This is so we can remain flexible with the student schedules, consistent on all of our campuses as time does not allow us to interview each candidate in person, and it speeds up the process of sending the students an offer for the program. This is a trial this season and we welcome any feedback.
Students will be taking a Web-based Interview to determine if they are a right fit candidate for the Disney Company prior to interviewing.
Syllabi and course information are available for all of our educational courses for students to participate in while doing the Disney College Program.

Disney College Program

Disney College Recruiting begins on August 24!

They are pleased to announce that the Disney College Program fall recruiting season will begin on August 24.
