Last night I was invited by Gary Penkerton
to a meeting to raise funds for Harley
this is what has been decided to date
Gig number 1 Sat Aug 1st 2009
A massive open air concert at The Strawberry Gardens Offerton
Bands are lining up throught Stockport to play this gig
Gig Number 2 Wed 9th September 2009
A full show at The Fir Tree Reddish
Starring The Brilliant singer January
Comedy from Dom Collins Morer acts to be announced very soon
Gig Number 3 Wed 14th October 2009
A comedy night
A full line up of comedians to be announced very soon
if not I will do it myself :-)

Middlewich Folk and Boat festival 2009

This weekekend started of on Friday 19th June 2009
I had a 2 hour set to cover at The Golden Lion
we had a good crowd and passing trade I got finished around 11-15
then it was a speedy pack up and drive home because I had to be in work on Sat morning,
I didn't go back on Sat because of commitments,but I was up bright and early on Sunday morning 21st June 2009 and on my way back down the M6 for Breakfast with Dom at The Board Head,I really didn't ecpect such a turn out I ended up doing an unplugged session
very informal and very well recieved,I had a 5 hour gap to waite for my next gig at The Narrow Boat around 5-00pm so I soaked up the atmosphere of the festival, As I was setting up in The Boars Head I recieved a call from a guy asking me if I would come to The Board head and play The Middlewich song (This song was very well recieved this year for some reason) I told him to get over to the Narrow boat if he could get in,My set was split into 2 sessions because of other bands commitments but all in all I think we had a blast,I really did enjoy this years festival, I have made a lot of new friends and it was also great to see friends from past festivals turning up
and as I was driving home on Sunday night My phone rings and it was the same guy asking me would I come to The Golden Lion and sing The Middlewich song I told him the song has now been put to bed for another year and after a very long day I am on my way home,Job Done :-)

A massive gamble

Monday 16th March 2009
I took the gamble to take my mainstreem comedy
to an alternative comedy club just too see if it would work,
The club was The Frog and Bucket and if you know Manchester you will know
this club is the 2nd biggest comedy club in Manchester
I booked in over 4 weeks ago for a 5 min spot called Beat the frog
you have 5 min to inpress and can be called off at anytime during the 5 min
if the audience don't like you,The place was packed with around 300 people
all out to celebrate St Pats night, There were 10 acts on and I was on in the 2nd half
I had a stormer and survived the full 5 min,but so did 4 others,it was then up to the audience who was the winner on the night and has then earned the right to a gig at The Frog and Bucket
they choose little old me,this was on comment I got on Facebook
Tony Just commented on your status: "The ancoats lad did good,to say you brought the house down was an understatement.and there was some good comedians on the show."
I had a brilliant night and I am still bouncing from the buzz,I have not yet heard from The Frog but when I do you will be the 1ts to know

Debra Charity gig Feb 21st 2009

Wow what a night nearly 200 people buying tickets that meant a packed house
at The Premier suite in Bigwigs Audenshaw,
I opened up the night with a 45 min set
then Samantha Siddall (From Shameless)
came on and done a few songs
and to top the night comedian Max Pressure also done a 45 min set
£1,900 was raised last night for Debra and that is brilliant news
and what the whole night was all about
and a massive THANK YOU must go out to promoter Barry Hampson
for putting this night together,
Well done guy's a "Top night" was had by all :-)

Someone once said to me,Dom you should write a book well
if I ever do this will be a chapter, Looking back on 2008 for me it has been an amazing year,I am still writing songs although I am not going out as much performing them as much as I used o do,Simply because there are only 24 hours in a day. Even though there is a slight change in direction in what I am doing these days,I could never have predicted what has happened in 2008 and once again it was pure chance Right place Right time and the fact that I chose to say yes Where others my have said no,Back in June 08 on a Wednesday night I had been up for work at 04-30am I had played in Morcambe the night before so I got a good 4 hours kip that night, Thursday was going to be an early night for me until I got a call around 3-00pm asking can I be in Blackpool for 7-00pm,I remember my shoulders dropping and my whole body was shouting NO but my head said YES I will be there pal.I turned up had a great 20 min set and was asked to pop outside and meet a guy called Tony Jo who owns an Entertainments agency in Blackpool called HRH Entertainments,Tony had an idea to take the comedy out of my live set and with his help enhance it, he promised me if I was willing to learn and with his guidance within 6 months he would have me onstage with some of the greatest comedians in Britain and he was spot on,6 months down the line and this very weekend I have just come off stage after performing with Frank Carson,Mick Miller,Johnny Casson,Joe Longthorne & Cannon & Ball,Meeting Tony that night in June really has changed my life,I still think that these opportunities only come along once in a lifetime,And when they do then you have choices to make But if things don’t work out at least I will have no regrets.Time will tell if I have made the right choice by taking on this comedy challenge,I am having the time of my life making people laugh and anyone who knows me will tell you that’s something I have always done But if things don’t work out at least I will have no regrets.So for me this new career is a win win situation,And it also adds plenty more laughs to the live set,And who knows what 2009 will bring,I can't waite

Well it's done, and finished 3 weeks before I expected it to be
I am over the moon with the final result and I am sure you will be
And they will still be a fiver dispite the Cadbury's credit Crunch, Whatever that is :-)
There has been one change to the origional track list I written a song only 2 weeks ago
and I just could not waite 12 months for you to hear it so I went back into the studio
I lifted a track this means that there is allready one track done for next years installment
and then I included the new track, that is about a guy chatting up a girl in a disco it is sung to the tune of "And then he kissed me" only the new up-dated version is called
"And then she kicked me" and it is very funny :-)
I will be announcing when it is out on sale within a week and I recon we should have a New CD launch,(What do you think Eh!!! ) watch this space
