Is so sudden and no one expected it to happen..Including me. I was shock to see his death news appearing as one of the headline news on Wanbao yesterday and it reminded me of the late Chen Jin Lang, another sigificant geati host/singer who passed away 2 years ago...

I often watch getai with mum and Lin Li is my favorite getai host. I like his way of hosting though many find that his jokes are sometimes bit "porn". But as getai hosts, they have to say all these in order to create and maintain the atmosphere. Can u imagine a host talking with a serious tone throughout the almost three hours show?? I don' think no one,and even no "good brothers" will want to watch.

RIP Lin Li. I believe many Singaporeans will remember you always.

GOODNESS!!! I fail ENH assignment by 2 marks!! Thanks man..Feel so angry and upset now. Angry and upset over myself for not grasping the concepts yet and got this kind of result. The first time I got a F for assignment and this showed that I really 略懂 for this module.

Well,I know that I can't re-do my assignment now since the result had been finalised. So no point to continue being angry and upset from now on...I can only try to clear my 3000 words essay and online website ASAP in order to start my revision. Feel so lucky that I only got 2 papers for the coming exam. I must spend more time on ENH to pull up my overall grade. Shall begin revising PR very soon...

I'm really going to forget about ENH after exam. This module is a NIGHTMARE and has been haunting me since July! I shall now always remind myself that 我需要冷靜一下.RonGhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02932622602072325904noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7164366315507052658.post-88807253685452275082008-09-30T10:26:00.005+08:002008-09-30T19:19:45.850+08:00In love with "expiry dates"I'm now in love with a movie and a song suddenly...I'm surprised that I actually like these stuffs. The movie is Chungking Express (重庆森林)that is directed by Wong Kar-wai,a 1994 Hong Kong film. The movie comprises of 2 stories, the first story is about Takeshi Kaneshiro and Brigitte Lin, seond story about Tony Leung, Faye Wong and Valerie Chow. Have always wanted to watch this movie as many say this is a great movie, and I finally watched it few weeks ago.Is really a good and unique movie...

The first story began with a girl named May who broke up with Takeshi Kaneshiro on April Fool's Day. TK's birthday was on 1st May and he chose to wait for May for a month. He then began buying a can of pineapples with an expiry date of May 1st as pineapple was May's favorite food.If May did not return after he had bought 30cans of pineapples,it meant that the love had expired, just like the cans of pineapples. On April 30th when TK wanted to buy a can of pineapple, the store assistant had removed all canned food that expired on May 1st. This was when he began to doubt what are some stuffs on Earth that did not have expiry dates on them.

I really love this plot specially. There are always things that we will treat them as "expired" stuff,we will neglect them and even forget about them.In the movie, love between May and TK had "expired" and not only the love, but TK was also treated like a can of expired canned food (he was 'dumped' by May). This made me wonder if I had dumped something or neglected someone that had "expired" also...

The scene of "expiry date" from Chungking Express

The song I like recently is an old song actually. "Lover's Concerto" by Kelly Chen, one of the soundtracks in the movie "Anna Magdalena"(安娜瑪德蓮娜).Heard this song from radio yesterday and triggered me to watch the movie. This is a 1998 Hong Kong film, directed by Yee Chung Man,starring by Kelly Chen,Takeshi Kaneshiro,Aaron Kwok,Jacky Cheung, late Leslie Cheung and Anita Yuen. Great cast isn't it? This is a romantic yet comedy film. The most hilarious scene was the wild fantasy based on TK's novel- The XO Pair which Kelly Chen acted as X,and TK was O.

Kelly Chen-"Lover's Concerto"

Lyrics of "Lover's Concerto"
how gentle is the rain
that falls softly on the meadow
birds high up on the trees
serenade the clouds with their melodies
oh see there beyond the hill
the bright colors of the rainbow
some magic from above
made this day for us
just to fall in love
you'll hold me in your arms
and say once again you'll love me
and that your love is true
everything will be just as wonderful
now i belong to you
from this day until forever
just love me tenderly
and i'll give to you every part of me
oh don't ever make me cry
through long lonely nights without us
be always true to me
keep this day in your heart eternally
you hoid me in your arms
and say once again you love me
and that your love is true
everything will be just as wonderfulRonGhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02932622602072325904noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7164366315507052658.post-19025598640170776192008-09-20T22:45:00.002+08:002008-09-20T23:05:50.196+08:0014 years ago...As mentioned,I now have this habit of watching online movies when I feel stress over assignments..Watched a old Chinese comedy movie that was filmed in 1994..1994,I was only 9 years old.. Still can briefly rememeber this movie though it was a old film..Happy memory I suppose as I was in craze of the two lead actors at that time..But I feel sad suddenly while watching it..

Time really flies without our notice..365 days a year,30 days a month,7 days a week,24 hours a day,60 minutes in an hour..Sometimes we realize that time is really not enough isn't it?Sometimes we wish that time will stop for a while isn't it?But time is really a critical,or shall I say cruel thing in this planet isn't it? Good things often happen so quickly that we hope the time will stop...Similarly,bad things often happen so quickly that we hope the time will pass faster to let the wound recover..But the healing often takes forever..

Year 1995 and 2005 is 13 years and 3 years ago from now..But the wound is still healing...What can cure the wounds were the happy memories of them.On the other hand,I hope bad memories can be washed away as well but I know is impossible..I need more time...RonGhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02932622602072325904noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7164366315507052658.post-36971185118461498702008-09-10T14:26:00.010+08:002008-09-30T11:31:22.432+08:00Top 8 places I want to go before I dieWas watching the program-Discovery Travel and Living few days ago and it was showing this program called '1000 Places to See Before You Die'. I began thinking of places that I want to go in my life if possible..Not 1000 places as it will be very costly and time-consuming I suppose..

My top 8 desire places/countries to go:
1)Egypt
2)Mongolia
3)Lhasa
4)Antarctica
5)Rome
6)Iceland
7)Africa
8)France

Will keep this list of places in my mind and shall see if I could travel to these desired places..Life is short and what I want is to live happily,to see the world and hope people around me to be healthy and safe always.

Am doing assignments like crazy recently as I have got 3 to submit next week..Gosh~ Shall finish the assignments asap so that I can continue reading the novel- <<死神的精度>> "Accuracy of Death" by 伊坂幸太郎 (Kotaro Isaka). The movie by Takeshi Kaneshiro this year is an adapation of this novel..I've not yet watched the movie (I've got no time!!!), so shall finish the novel first before watching the movie..Heard from others that both the novel and movie are not bad..

Finished about one-third of the novel already and is indeed an interesting book..Looking at the world from the perspective of a Grim Reaper(by Takeshi Kaneshiro in the movie)..Human beings are indeed vulnerable, some think of leaving the world due to some upsets in life and some struggle hard to survive no matter what obstacles in life..

What is happiness in life? There is no definite answer to this for me.Why do people want to give up their happiness? I still do not know what makes her give up the happiness 3years ago, I will never ever get to know.Maybe she is happier now in another place. What makes me feel fulfilling in life? Spending time with my love ones make me feel fulfilling.Seeing them safe and happy make me feel fulfilling.Has got a roof over my head makes me fulfilling. To work in an industry I like in the coming future makes me fulfilling.Able to travel and see the world makes me fulfilling.

These will be enough...RonGhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02932622602072325904noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7164366315507052658.post-44015462437415531002008-08-29T19:05:00.006+08:002008-08-29T20:05:18.026+08:0012 LotusWatched the movie 12 Lotus by Royston Tan with mum and bro last week which I forgot to update haha~! This was the second Royston Tan's film I had watched, the first movie was 881 which had created the getai wave among youths..Additionally, I had watched Money No Enough 2 with my mum also..But frankly speaking,I prefer 12 Lotus than Money No Enough 2..12 Lotus maybe slow and many commented that 881 was better..But I like the story line of 12 Lotus more compared to 881 actually..The song 12 Lotus fits in nicely during the narration of Lian Hua's life (from Mindee Ong to Liu Ling Ling) which creates the bond between the audiences and Lian Hua's life. However, the dialogues in 12 Lotus are mostly in hokkien which non-hokkien audiences may feel alienated..But Liu Ling Ling has acted very well in this movie..Jiayou Ling Ling Jie!! :)

Classic Hokkien Song-12 Lotus
RonGhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02932622602072325904noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7164366315507052658.post-51010556439007275762008-08-26T10:32:00.002+08:002008-08-26T10:55:49.690+08:00Welcome home Singapore Team!!Due to the assignment,I attended the celebration event for Singapore Team's glory return from Beijing Olympics at Raffles City yesterday. I stood from about 3pm to 7pm,watching the crew setting up the speakers, chairs and even rehearsals of Chen Di-ya and Carrie Yang..lol.. JJ sang 2 songs during the celebration also..

The interviews I had carred out were fun! It's definitely a good experience.. I thought it would be scary as I didn't really conduct interviews before (as in face-to-face),but it turned out to be ok :) I left a deep impression especially with a 70-yr-old uncle who is now a retiree...I asked him one question and he gave me a real long answer lol...Half an hour later when I was 'eyeing' for other interviewees,he came up and tapped my shoulder and said, "And also ar..I haven't finish..." lolz...What a cute and friendly uncle..He even wished me good luck for assignment before he left..Thanks a lot uncle!! lol...

But there were also people who rejected my interviews when they saw me holding a camera and notebook.. I'm only student, not a real journalist..Don't worry keke...But I can understand their feelings :) Many of my interviewees are supporters of Feng Tianwei..Especially a group of secondary school girls I interviewed...They attended the celebration to support her and of course, hoping to snap a close-up photo of Feng Tianwei :)

The atmosphere was high when the celebration began and undoubtedly, the cheerings sounds reached the peak when Singapore Team walked down the red carpet. The crowds followed and surrounded Singapore Women Table Tennis Team-Feng Tianwei,Wang Yue Gu and Li Jiawei when they were leaving the mall.. I saw them standing in front of me but before I could snap their photos,I was pushed and bumped by the crowds lol...I also saw Tao Li when she was doing interviews at the media site..

Overall, yesterday was indeed a good experience and WELCOME HOME SINGAPORE TEAM!! Congrats and thanks for doing Singapore proud :)RonGhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02932622602072325904noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7164366315507052658.post-66500057305529232792008-08-19T23:07:00.004+08:002008-08-19T23:16:17.508+08:00ENH 3407ENH 3407...A module code that I would never ever forget in my life!!!! I would definitely rememeber names like PB Shelley, Romanticism, Intentional Fallacy, Wordsworth, Coleridge,Keats and more...

I'm now a mixture of Eve family-am lost now,am confused now,and I must admit honestly that I was not pleasant during these few days as I was cursing and swearing when doing this assignment...

I appreciated the poems written by them (only after I flipped through dictionaries and meanings from critics in research books), but it was really very very VERY tedious to do this assignment!!!!!

Frankly speaking, I do not dare to look at my grade when this assignment is to be returned after a few weeks.... Frankly speaking, I believe that this is the hardest module in the Monash units I've taken... Frankly speaking, please pray hard for me friends~RonGhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02932622602072325904noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7164366315507052658.post-16111723983972705322008-08-10T16:56:00.003+08:002008-08-10T17:01:58.956+08:00Get to know myself :)An interesting quiz after seeing Eng's and DuoE's blog.. I must admit that this quiz is quite true :)

Your view on yourself:

Other people find you very interesting, but you are really hiding your true self. Your friends love you because you are a good listener. They'll probably still love you if you learn to be yourself with them.

The type of girlfriend/boyfriend you are looking for:

You like serious, smart and determined people. You don't judge a book by its cover, so good-looking people aren't necessarily your style. This makes you an attractive person in many people's eyes.

Your readiness to commit to a relationship:

You prefer to get to know a person very well before deciding whether you will commit to the relationship.

The seriousness of your love:

Your have very sensible tactics when approaching the opposite sex. In many ways people find your straightforwardness attractive, so you will find yourself with plenty of dates.

Your views on education

Education is less important than the real world out there, away from the classroom. Deep inside you want to start working, earning money and living on your own.

The right job for you:

You're a practical person and will choose a secure job with a steady income. Knowing what you like to do is important. Find a regular job doing just that and you'll be set for life.

How do you view success:

You are afraid of failure and scared to have a go at the career you would like to have in case you don't succeed. Don't give up when you haven't yet even started! Be courageous.

What are you most afraid of:

You are afraid of things that you cannot control. Sometimes you show your anger to cover up how you feel.

Who is your true self:

You are mature, reasonable, honest and give good advice. People ask for your comments on all sorts of different issues. Sometimes you might find yourself in a dilemma when trapped with a problem, which your heart rather than your head needs to solve.RonGhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02932622602072325904noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7164366315507052658.post-42674064940345307572008-07-21T11:59:00.002+08:002008-07-21T12:24:39.732+08:00Confession of PainRainy days.. A weather that I always like and hate at the same time..Dark skies that cast a sense of gloominess and sleepiness, but on the other hand, bringing cooliness and relaxation to the environment..But this weather always remind me of someone who is far far away from me forever because of the gloominess I think..

Is she ok? What is she doing? Is she still suffering alone? The key question that I always wonder: Is that really the only solution to express her confession of pain that no-one knows the reason till today?

Why do I write this post about confession of pain? Reason: I just finished watching the movie by Tony Leung and Takeshi Kaneshiro-Confession of Pain which the story triggered me to write this post. Is really hard to confess the pain to people around you isn't it? Just like Tony Leung who lost all his family members and identity suddenly when he was young in the movie. He could not confess this incident to people around him, neither his wife nor buddy (Takeshi Kaneshiro).

Till the day when Takeshi Kaneshiro found out the truth about Tony Leung's revenge motive and true identity,Tony Leung then finally confessed his pain and committed suicide.Confession of pain to other people is definitely hard I believe, for instance, in the case of hers and Tony Leung's role in the movie. But it is always harder for people around them to accept the truth...RonGhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02932622602072325904noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7164366315507052658.post-47733552514957806392008-07-14T22:29:00.004+08:002008-07-14T23:34:23.633+08:00《赤壁》Red CliffAfter 'nagging' for some days that I want to watch this movie,I finally watched it TODAY!! YeAh! Well,is really a great movie though it has a mixture of some modernized dialogues and erm...lame jokes?? lol..

According to John Woo,the director,he commented that these would help in creating and building a closer bond between audiences and the characters. For instance, he created the Zhuge Liang(诸葛亮) in this movie to be an animal-lover who owned pets such as doves and tortoise, and together with some humorous dialogues, the audiences are bonded closely with this character who plays a crucial role in the movie. Alternatively, I think it also helps to alter the ideology that historical war films are boring. Well,it really works on me as I'm one who is very afraid of watching those full 2 hours plus war film with no moment of relaxation and I tend to fall asleep easily, but when watching the "Red Cliff", I was totally 'glued' to the chair and the big screen!

My favorite scene of the movie was the Eight Tiagrams Formation suggested by 诸葛亮 (by Takeshi Kaneshiro) which he claimed to be more outdated than the formation Zhou Yu (周瑜)- acted by Tony Leung had used during the army training(well, you had to watch the movie for this joke lolz). This whole scene with the bravo cinematography and camera setting reflect the courage of 周瑜,the wisdom of 诸葛亮,the courage of 张飞,趙雲,甘宁 and 关羽 successfully that bring all the audiences closer to these characters who were the most famous historical figures in the history of China.

Also, I think that the most outstanding actors in this movie are Takeshi Kaneshiro,Tony Leung and Zhang Fengyi(who acted as Cao Cao曹操). Well, not because I am a fan of Takeshi Kaneshiro and Tony Leung ok? Lolz.. But these 3 actors really capture my attention closely throughout the 2.5hrs film~I really like this film a lot and I will be waiting patiently for part 2 that relate about the most historical moment of the China history (Battle of Red Cliff) that will be released in January 2009 according to media reports.

Visit the offical website for more information of Red Cliff Part 1: http://www.foxmovies.com.tw/redcliff/home.htm

My rating for this movie: ****/*****

(MUST WATCH~~!! :))RonGhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02932622602072325904noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7164366315507052658.post-85370644426520888702008-07-09T18:43:00.005+08:002008-07-09T21:45:40.333+08:00Semester 2 coming~!Wow so fast~Next monday is the beginning of the 2nd semester~I've another half year to go before I can work and earn money and explore the media industry!! Am excited and looking forward to the end of university!!lalalala~But I'll miss the school days once again upon graduation for sure haha!

By the way,I realized that Takeshi Kaneshiro is getting more and more good-looking (although he is ALWAYS good-looking haha!) I wanted to watch his latest movie "Red Cliff" 赤壁 which is directed by John Woo.. Partly is because of Takeshi Kaneshiro and Tony Leung la lol.. I sound like "flower eat" don't I? haha! But I really like Tony Leung's acting a lot :) As for Takeshi Kaneshiro, I first know about this singer/actor through these 2 songs "多苦都願意" and "標準情人" which was about 12 years ago I think...

Watching "Red Cliff" can also serve as a history lesson for me because my knowledge on Chinese history is really very limited and this will be a good chance for me to know more about the historical records of "The Chronicles of the Three Kingdom"...

Trailer

By the way, I happen to saw this blog stating that Takeshi Kaneshiro studied at UCLA before! lolz.. His blog was full of depression and sadness over the earthquake that shook the land violently.I was very touched by this entry by him specially...

With credit to: http://blog.sina.com.cn/s/blog_58daf66701009bg5.html

The owner of this blog posted up photos of a collapsed secondary school before and after the earthquake happened...These photos belonged to one of the teachers in the secondary school and he posted the photos on his own blog on 11th May..But the happiness of the teachers and students in the photos were all gone just after 24 hours...
With credit to: http://blog.sina.com.cn/s/blog_3f7fd78e01009pkh.html

Saw 2 kids playing happily with their father on train, 2 kindergarten kids chit chatting and giggling and 3 secondary school students talking about exams when I'm on my way to school this afternoon. Both disasters showed the 'power' of nature and alternatively, showed the vulnerablity of human beings.

Countless people were killed from these disasters. Survivors awaiting for assistance. Trapped victims struggling hard to survive under the collasped buildings after the unexpected sudden earthquake. Volunteers and armies working 24/7 to rescue people and moving dead bodies from the sites. Photos taken by journalists over the globe showed the helplessness of the survivors and last struggle of the dead bodies.

Bloated bodies in Myanmar and parents mourning over the death of their beloved children kept reminding me on the pain of losing love ones in life. The victims were all struggling hard to escape from the disasters but some were however, killed and departed forever. People were encouraging each other under the rubbles in China though they were strangers before the quake happened.

The victims were full of determination to survive and wait for assistance, but why don't you? 3 years had passed and I still can't figure it out till now, maybe not only now. But forever. We were so closed and obviously, we will all be with you and encourage you forever. Is there really no solution to solve the problem that time? Don't you think of us before you did that? But you still chose to do it which I supposed you must have planned it earlier without our knowing. Stupid me who didn't realize your plans and halted you from doing so. Even till the day itself when you sent me to school and I saw you left. The last look at you. And I still didn't know. This would be a heavy burden in me forever. I don't know if I can let the burden down one day.

Life is really full of ups and downs, sorrows and happiness. Human beings are really so vulnerable and I will pray hard to all victims in the disasters.

To the students, teachers and people in the China earthquake rubble and victims in Myanmar cyclone, please remain strong and never give up. People all over the globe will be praying hard and donating to assist you all.

For further information on donations to Myanmar and China, do check out: http://www.redcross.org.sg/RonGhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02932622602072325904noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7164366315507052658.post-36720005577668337902008-05-08T16:20:00.009+08:002008-05-08T18:13:04.340+08:00甜蜜的人生 Bitter Sweet Life

Was told by Alicia that Lee Dong Wook has a new drama showing in Korea recently called 'Bitter Sweet Life'. I managed to watch the first episode during my self declare break from journalism ha~The drama seems not bad though due to few reasons 1) It consists of a bit mystery as it begins with a crime scene and I wanted to know what happen 2) How Lee Dong Wook dies? 3)There are sceneries of Hokkaido 4) The main reason: Because got Lee Dong Wook ma! haha~

Though it looks nice, but is still those typical Korean dramas that is bit draggy..A very good example is the scene when Lee Dong Wook and Oh Yeon-soo (the lead actress)was on the car to the foot of a mountain (well, I forgot the name of the mountain) and this scene lasts about 15-20minutes long which I think the key issue througout the scene is to explain the reason why Lee Dong Wook is in Hokkaido -.-"

Also, this drama somehow reminds me of the communication module that I took this semester- screen theories and techniques because I notice some aspects of film noir in the first episode..

1) There is an involvment of crime in this drama. 2) The raining scene at night where Lee Dong Wook was lying motionlessly (he was either killed or he committed suicide) 3) Bars of shadows are casted on Oh Yeon-soo's husband in the scene where he returns to the apartment of his and Park Shi-yeon (who acted as the mistress) to convey a sense of being trapped 4)The 'male gaze' where Lee Dong Wook takes the photo of Oh Yeon-soo secretly in the cafe.

Am i crazy or what to notice all these?? Ha~But I think film noir movies are rather nice after watching 'Double Indemnity'...Lolz.. Well, no matter what, I'll finish watching 'Bitter Sweet Life' when free even though it turns out to be bad for the sake of Lee Dong Wook haha!!~He is more 'man' now and of course, he' still carries the 'don't know how many' watts smile that 'kill' many fans out there (I'm one of them haha!) *shy shy*

This is the cast of this drama:

Lee Dong Wook,Park Si-yeon,Oh Yeon-soo and Jeong Bo-seok.

Was on youtube and saw this video of WuBai and China Blue's concert in Singapore last month.. Bravo concert!!Got a big big birthday gift this year and that is....to watch Wu Bai's concert and buy his merchandizes that I've been eyeing for long!!! Really thank you so much for e big gifts!! haha!!

Ah Ying told me she was going to WuBai's concert last week and I was so disappointed because I might not be going...But I got to fulfill my anticipation at last!! haha!! Reached Suntec city at around 5plus with my mum (My whole family is all WuBai's fans by the way,but my bro has got teaching that day..If not he wanted to go as well..lolz)Well initially I thought of getting the tickets 1st then went for dinner and to loiter around but the staff told me that the collection will only start at about 6.30pm..Faint..

But nvm,I was in absolute good mood that day haha! So is fine for me to wait..lolz..Then we saw the counter selling the merchandizes which I had been eyeing VERY long lolz..Wanted to buy from Taiwan last year during the trip but I could not find the shops! My mum then bought me a water bottle and WuBai's figurine with a free shark head :):):) I wanted to buy a tee-shirt at first but thinking that it might be a waste..I didn't buy.

By the way, these are the birtday gifts from my mum :p

Wu Bai's figurine and water bottle (My mum finds this water bottle very nice and useful lolz)

Then we went Food Republic to eat and loiter till 6.30pm..Then we went up to the convention hall again and it had not started issuing the tickets yet still~My mum then asked me to buy this tee-shirt (see bottom) as she saw some people who are WuBai's fans who were wearing this shirt. So we went to the merchandize counter again and I bought this set as a birthday gift for myself haha! The set consists of the tee-shirt,a bag and a scarf..lolz..This is the first time I bought so much stuff wor haha! And I changed into this shirt immediately to see if it fits lol..Indeed,it fits nicely and is nice! haha!! Well, the main pt is I still bought a shirt at last haha!

And again, we went Food Republic since it hasn't start issuing and I was waiting for Ah Ying to call me..We were sitting beside a group of WuBai's fans (they were all wearing the tee-shirts haha!) and I did not realize initially till I turned and the group smiled at me when they saw that I was wearing the shirt haha! Then I realized we were all WuBai crazy fans lolz! A couple then shared the same table with us as Food Republic was crowded due to the peak period...The couple then chit chat with us and asked if we were going home after dinner, then my mum said we were going to Wu Bai's concert..And guess what?? The couple was going also haha..And we began talking about his concerts and songs..lol..They actually travalled all the way from Malaysia to watch the concert wor! lolz..

Met up with Ying and her friend at 7plus as they were having dinner and we went to the hall together, waiting for the concert to start keke! But our seats were different from Ah Ying and Cindy..Too bad..If not we can high together haha! But nvm,we can always go next time when he comes lol!

Lights dimmed at around 8.20pm and the concert began finally!! I really enjoy the Live atmosphere and especially WuBai is the "King of Live"..lolz..He is really cool and cute throughout the concert! He has "opened up" a lot compared to his previous concerts I've been to :) He had talked more and even danced with sexy dancers lol..But he looked more like a robot dancing lol... He also sang the theme song of 881-一人一半..The original hokkien version!! I love the way he sang though is the same song haha!

You can click on the vodcast on this link to watch the clips. I wanted to stand from the beginning of concert but people around me are rather still lol..But I stood at the end and did not bother if I'm blocking the views of people behind me lol..I'm sorry but I got to stand coz is too high haha!! Well,he's one of my favorite actors haha!~ And because of this drama,I "fell in love" with the theme sang by Hacken Lee (李克勤).

Dicey Business theme

This is my all-time favorite drama by my favorites- Louis Koo(古天樂),Raymond Lam(林峰),Jessica Hsuan(宣萱) and Jiang Hua (江華). I have been longing to buy this set of drama to re-watch hee...But have not yet purchased it...Costs about $60 if I'm not wrong..Will get it,will definitely try to get it for sure :)

This is another classic TVB drama to watch, Healing Hands I,II and III I've watched all three series and is really worth watching..This is the drama that Bowie (林保怡) becomes my another favorite actor haha! He acted as Henry who works in A & E and is always so cool and professional~Wow :)

(Revolving Doors of Vengeance). Then we watched a funny yet lame DVD that uncle bought.. But few of us started to get bored and began playing poker cards haha~Seldom play 'dai ti' and lost a few rounds.. Luckily we are just playing for fun and didn't lose any $$ haha~Was saying that we should set of mahjong down to spend our time there...lolz...

We then headed down to Marina Bay at 11+ to watch firework... The firework this year is not really nice...Simple and bit boring...Then we went down to 'chun dao he pan' for a walk and down to Loyang Temple for praying...But the temple was too crowded and all returned back to the fish pond..By the time we reached home,it was already 3+! And after the praying,it was already 4+!

Can you see me?? Zhao took this picture as we were all sitting and waiting for firework lol~

1st Day of CNY-We headed to my auntie's house 1st at 10+ and my cousin was already there...Then we went to my another auntie's house.. Following by my 2nd and 3rd uncles' house...My 4th uncle and family then arrived and we returned back to my auntie's house again..Then my house...Then to my 4th uncle's house haha~Sounds complicating ya? lolz... But this is our regular schedule yearly..lolz...And another yearly event was to watch midnight movie...ha~And we watched CJ7 this year instead of Kungfu Dunk because most of the elderlys are not interested in Jay Chou haha~

O and by the way, this was the day when I watched my 4th uncle playing mahjong (with my bro,Zhao and Song)...And another pro (2nd uncle) guiding Zhao...I told myself to learn up the skill but hm...I still don't understand the technique haha~Well, the pros' technique is: Keeping other people's tiles (To rememeber and watch the tiles your opponents threw out),not to throw out the winning tile (so that you wouldn't lose much $) and to form winning tiles (at least to game 3forms and above)...WOW! Bit hard for me..I'm still paying school fees leh ha~

Chu 2-Reached my 4th uncle's house at 11 plus as there would be a lion dance and dragon dance that was supposed to start at 2. BUT! It actually started at 4plus because of some delay in their schedule...Due to the long awaiting time, the best way not to get bored is to play MAHJONG!! haha~And so,Zhao,Yvonne and me volunteered willingly when Song asked "Who want to play?" haha~But my tiles were really 'CMI' that day and I lost 18 dollars!!! FAINT~!~! Then my 2nd uncle 'sponsored' me to play 21 points for him after mahjong and I lost all his money initally... Then I took out $6 from my wallet, hoping to win back some $ for him...AND I DID! So in the end,he won about $3 and I won $1 haha~

Then I played another round of mahjong with my brother,2nd and 3rd uncle in the evening...My 3rd uncle told me "I don't really know how to play leh...Very long never play.." And guess what? He was the only winner! He won about $12..Faint!~!~ And surprisingly,I lost only about $5 which I thought I would lost all haha~

Chu 3-Did nothing much actually...Went 4th uncle's house again...But just sitting there doing nothing...Watching movie,eating goodies...lolz~

Chu 4-Went for praying at a Geylang Temple in the morning and returned home asap as my brother's frenz are coming for our house for mahjong session haha~AND! I played mahjong again with my brother's friends while waiting for his other friends to arrive...But I lost $3 in the end...Faint~!~ Luckily,CNY is only once a year and this was normally the only time I would gamble (as in $$ wise) haha~

That's all for the update for CNY 2008!! HAPPY NEW YEAR MY DEAR FRENZ!! Hope to have a gathering with u guys soon (Da,Merrick,Sy,Ming,Ying,Cheng and poly frenz),(Eve Family) and (Jies and family)!! By the way,Kelly nu ren! Rememeber to drop me an email when u reached Aust hor~ :)RonGhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02932622602072325904noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7164366315507052658.post-27476397968507894782008-02-04T11:27:00.000+08:002008-02-04T12:24:58.235+08:00摇滚天王 Wu Bai's concert in Singapore on April~! :):):):):)Was checking out about WuBai's concert in Singapore from his offical fansite this morning and is confirmed to be on 5th April (Saturday) in Suntec Convention Hall!!! YEAH YIPEE!!! I missed out his concert with Zhang Zheng Yue last year and I really hope to go for his concert this year!! I miss his live performance and..him? haha~sounds very wrong..haha..I'm not crazy! But i really like him(his songs, his coolness, his smile, his talent blah blah..ha~) Like him the most when he is playing guitar! *shy shy* Lolz~

And I realized that he is actually quite good looking when I first saw him in year hm...1999?? Wow so long ago haha~Well,I became his die-hard fan since I was in Secondary One after my bro bought his karaoke VCD...ha~ He came to Sg to promote his <<White Dove>> album that time and I even won a pass to attend his press conference haha~~Not only attending the press conference wor! But also releasing white doves with him at the top floor of Heeren with my cousin who is only 8 years old at that time ha~He was influenced by me and ended up liking WuBai too lolz..Would never forget that it was her whom helped to get the passes to the press conference..And I really hope that she can be with me to attend his concerts and autograph sessions like before...But is never possible again...

Here are some video clips :)

(My fav)

(My mum's fav)

被动 (Her favorite)

(My bro's fav)

LAST DANCE

RonGhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02932622602072325904noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7164366315507052658.post-86803784489844044282008-01-29T10:41:00.000+08:002008-01-29T13:20:23.185+08:00Upcoming Chinese moviesIs another week to the Year of Rat! Time really flies...And really scary~Chinese New Year is my favorite festival of all... Is a time to gamble,to eat,to drink,to dress nicely,to rest and! TO TAKE RED PACKETS! ha~But most importantly,is a time to gather with relatives and friends.. A time to build up a stronger bond with each other :)

New Chinese movies will always be shown yearly during CNY. Is standard actually...lolz..There are 3 Chinese movies coming soon next month which are: Kung Fu Dunk (starring:Jay Chou!!), CJ 7 (starring: Stephen Chow-my favorite comedy actor!) and Ah Long Pte Ltd (starring:Fann Wong,Mark Lee). Undoubtedly, the movie I wanted to watch is of course Kung Fu Dunk!! And reason is also unquestionably because of JAY CHOU! ha~

And second choice will no doubt to be CJ 7 by Stephen Chow. He is always my favorite comedy actor...Think most people will have deep impression on his movies like 唐伯虎点秋香(Flirting Scholar),少林足球(Shaolin Soccer),食神(God of Cookery),逃学威龙(Fight Back to School I,II and III),九品芝麻官(Hail the Judge),国产凌凌漆(From Beijing with Love),济公(Mad Monk),武状元苏乞儿(King of Beggars),整蛊专家(The Ultimate Trickster) and many more~ He is really a talent and his ideas in making a comedy movie are much more creative than what we can think of..Lame but indeed very funny that became classic comedy movies..

Here are the clips on Kung Fu Dunk and CJ 7 :)

(Kung Fu Dunk)

Here are some classic movie scenes from Stephen Chow's movies :)

(Flirting Scholar)

(Flirting Scholar)

(Shaolin Soccer)

(Shaolin Soccer)

(From Beijing with Love)
RonGhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02932622602072325904noreply@blogger.com
