The first calm, a day when we were out in small vessels near the north end of the Sea, not far from Capernaum. Contrasted radically from the winds of the next day, not strong by Canadian standards, but enough to whip up the wake on the Sea. A reminder of not only who quickly and easily the winds brought waves to the Sea of Galilee but how often life's storms bring up the waves of trouble. The same question comes to us as Jesus posed to his disciples, have you no faith. God has been faithful in the past, showed us and the disciples wonders of things, should we not in the turmoil of 2009 not continue to trust, and exhibit that faith.
