With the pitch being very small they were forced to get the ball on the floor and play football, which they did in very pleasing style. The early minutes saw three or four good chances go begging, but true to their new found confidence this year they continued to pass the ball and create goal scoring opportunities. By half time the score was 4-0 but could have been considerably more and the girls were full of conficence. One particular highlight of the half was when the Bradford keeper grabbed the ball on her goal line from a clearance by Lucy - our keeper. After an early scare in the second half the girls went on to score 5 further goals and play some great football. Well done Beth Barby for scoring the seasons first Hat Trick and to Eliza for her second goal from the half way line in two weeks. Particular praise is also due to the Bradford Team who were a credit to themselves and their club. They were battling for every ball in the last minute with the same enthusiam as the first. all in all a great game, well done girls.

Jo Kinghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09734378602783398987noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7053965272377378876.post-58147250524639106042008-10-06T11:34:00.001+01:002008-10-06T11:36:18.216+01:00U12 Match Report Sun 5th OctWootten Bassett Vs Trowbridge Town

Score 0 -5

Sunday again and this week the girls travelled to Wootton Bassett. The weather was truly awful with a very strong, cold wind and constant rain throughout the match. Having lost the toss they were forced to play the first half in to the wind and found it really difficult, however the defence was magnificent. As the half wore on they created a few chances but were unable to make them count. The second half was a different story. The wind did not drop ant the girls took full advantage, scoring 5 times to win the game 5-0. Again they have made really great progress and some of the passing and moving was the best the team have produced. They all played with enthusiasm and commitment in what can only be described as horrid conditions and left the field with smiles on their faces. Full credit is due to each and every player involved they did themselves and the club proud.

Jo Kinghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09734378602783398987noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7053965272377378876.post-5241697491994223322008-09-29T12:11:00.002+01:002008-09-29T12:12:10.371+01:00U12 Match Report Sat 27th SeptSat 27th Sept

Trowbridge Town U12s Vs Chippenham Town

Saturday saw the U12 girls host Chippenham Town in their first home game of the season. It also saw the first goal of the season, a magnificent strike from LEAH BEAVEN and our first victory, with the final score 1-0. The match was closely fought from start to finish and both teams had a goal disallowed, however it is fair to say that we carved the majority of the chances and on another day could have scored a few more. As pleasing as the result was, the best part of the performance was the fantastic attitude and the battling spirit and determination the girls played with, it really was a joy to see. Everybody involved with this performance should be proud of themselves as it was clearly another step up from last week. Special thanks also goes to our visitors Chippenham Town for the spirit in which they played the match, and to the parents and supporters for their support during the game. See you all next week for Wootton Bassett !!

Jo Kinghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09734378602783398987noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7053965272377378876.post-32694417355806495112008-09-29T12:08:00.002+01:002008-09-29T12:10:43.445+01:00U10 and U12 Girls TrainingFrom Thursday 2nd Oct

U10 and U12 Girls Training
is at:

Warminster Private School

6 -730 pm

If anyone would like lifts please call:
Jo - 07515 759037
Paul - 07980 560457
Mike - 07990 516817

Jo Kinghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09734378602783398987noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7053965272377378876.post-21208039153448999332008-09-24T21:37:00.001+01:002008-09-24T21:39:33.495+01:00U12s Sun 21st Sept Match ReportTrowbridge U12 girls travelled to Highworth for the first game of the season on Sunday, to face the favourites for the League title. Although we lost 3-0 the new look squad can take great credit in the way they performed, and especially their superb attitude. Worthy of note is that 6 of the 9 girls in the squad are actually U11. Congratulations go to Eliza Thorpe for her first game as team captain, and to Jade, Halle and Joanna who all made the debuts in a very tough match. Well done to all those involved in the squad, it was a successful first step in the rebuilding process.Roll on Saturday and Chippenham Town.

Jo Kinghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09734378602783398987noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7053965272377378876.post-14338563370170023662008-06-16T19:23:00.003+01:002008-10-21T18:36:23.229+01:00Girls Season 2008/2009 ContactsU10s
Paul King
07980 560457

U12s
Mike Alford
07990 516817

U15s 11 aside
Dave Oconnor

Girls Secretary
Jo King
07515 759037

Jo Kinghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09734378602783398987noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7053965272377378876.post-26640514287686780992008-05-05T17:14:00.005+01:002008-05-10T08:47:36.644+01:00CongratulationsBig Congrats to the Under 13's and Under 14's for winning their respective cup finals.

Andy Macknoreply@blogger.com3
