Connecting with Mother Earth

I've been home for 2 weeks now and have about 3 more weeks before I arrive in Massachusetts to offer the Crystal Healer Certification Level 1 and 2 at Heart to Heart Healing Connection in West Springfield. While I am there I will shop the largest Gem show on the east coast. We'll load up Vincent's car and drive back to Florida after all my events are over. I'm booked with private sessions for Past Life Regressions and Angel Gemstone Oracle Readings as well.

Being home for so long - 5 week - I have been able to reconnect with the land that I live on. I am so grateful for all my beautiful plants and trees. The mangoes are just about getting ripe. I know that when the animals start eating them, they are ready to pick. I brought 4 mangoes in to finish ripening yesterday when I was out dead heading my rose bushes. If I don't take some in to enjoy, the squirrels hang upside down on the branches and munch away on the mango while it's still hanging on the tree! It's a sight to see.

The hurricanes, all 3 of them that hit 2 years in a row, really challenged many trees and plants. This is the first year that we've had our normal tropical weather patterns of torrential rain every day. I can hear the plants and trees singing and doing a happy dance that they can finally heal and grow again. We haven't had any mangoes on the tree since before the hurricanes so I guess it's been about 5 years. Interestingly, only half the tree grew mangoes. The part that was hurt so badly is still healing. At least I didn't lose the tree. I lost a carombola a/k/a star fruit, 3 coconuts, 2 orange and numerous other young trees.

The summer growth in my paradise-like backyard was deep and rich. I did some trimming for the long-term health of the plants, but I love the tropical jungle affect that they create. One Tarzan-like vine grew over 2 of my bougainvillea bushes. Taking the vine off those plants was really good exercise to say the least!

I compost. I save all of my organic material like vegetable cuttings, coffee grounds, egg shells, and old bread in a plastic container on my kitchen counter. Daily, or sometimes more frequently if I cook more often, I place the contents in a pile in section of the garden in my backyard. I am doing a modified version of composting because one should either dig a hole to bury it or put it into a compost bin and layer it with greens and browns. But, my version feeds the neighborhood wild life. I do this with intention to offer them and Mother Earth some food to eat with gratitude for supporting my life.

I read portion of a book in a Cracker Barrel while we were traveling about Lasagna Gardening. It's a way to layer all the organic materials in an area where you don't want to or have the time to dig up and prepare the bed in the normal way. So I've tried it in my yard as traveling has precluded my ability to get my hands in the dirt.

I placed shredded paper from my shredder and newspaper over the weeds and then threw all my compost in one section of a bed. After enough of the area was covered over time, Vincent and I covered it with peat moss, soil and then mulch. It raised the bed and created an area for rich soil. I've added the tops of the pineapples to that part of the garden. I now have 4 pineapple plants started. Do 4 plants qualify as a Pineapple Grove? Well, now I want to eat more pineapple to add to the garden!

I recently realized that little rabbits like pineapple. I wondered which creature kept digging them up and munching on what was left of the pineapple. Then I saw the sweet creature looking innocent in the bed. We have a baby bunny that graces our back yard from time to time to snack on asparagus ends, brussel sprouts debris and obviously the new pineapple plants.

The baby green iguana who also lives in and around our yard wild, like the marigolds. Yesterday I saw him having a little snack. I've also seen them eat sunflower sprouts. It took me a while to realize why my sunflowers never went beyond sprouting until I saw one of the iguanas snacking away.

There is also a young possum that comes by at night. My cat, Gabrielle, who is an indoor cat, enjoys the visit through the glass door. And, of course, Mr. and Mrs. Raccoon enjoy the boudoir of my salt water pool and jacuzzi.

All God's creatures enjoy the land that I get to live on. I've seen wood peckers, osprey, and even an otter! It's a true gift. A reverse zoo! I'm in the cage indoors and they are enjoying the outdoors. Works for me.

Reading, Writing and Manifesting Oprah

Now that I've arrived home from 4 months of traveling I intend to spend more time reading novels and new spiritual non-fiction titles again. Remember when you had a summer reading list in grammar school and high school? When I was growing up, my family and I went to our summer house in Breezy Point, NY every year. We opened the house on Memorial Day weekend and closed it down shortly after Labor Day. The beach house was my favorite place for the first 18 years of my life.

When Vincent and I recently traveled to Orcas Island it brought back the level of relaxation that I haven't experienced since those days in Breezy Point. I added 3 days onto my speaking tour of the Pacific Northwest on the front end of the trip just to rest. We stayed at a lovely place - see the post of June 3. While I was there I read quite a bit. I sucked in 3 novels in 3 days.

I think that after writing 18 chapters in my own book I needed to read to restore the balance in my energy field! My new book is coming out in the Spring of 2009. I am very excited about this. Llewellyn Worldwide is my publisher and so far my experience with them has been all good! I am now in the stage of obtaining promotional comments for the book. They'll use it on the back of the book as well as inside of it. I am blessed to know many authors so I should be able to get a few good endorsements.

I would like to manifest endorsements from some very well known authors - some of which I actually do know - so hold the vision with me that they would love to endorse it. It is a bit harder to get the really famous authors to endorse your book because they are inundated with these requests.

I would really like to get Jack Canfield and Denise Linn to say a few good words. I can imagine them happily agreeing to do this, so it is quite possible right? Actually, I would love for Doreen Virtue to endorse it. I know Doreen from the time before she was famous. She spoke at The Crystal Garden in the mid-1990s. She actually stayed over at my house. Doreen still remembers me and we chat when I see her at Trade Shows and other similar venues. She introduced me as one of her personal friends when I was in her certification for Angel Therapy Practitioner (R) Here is a link to a photo of the 2 of us: Doreen and Margaret

The working title of the book is: The Crystal Healers Manual: A Definitive Guide to Spiritual Healing through Color, Chakras, Crystals, Aromatherapy and the Power of Intention. It is a really good book, even if I must say so myself. I look forward to the day it's gracing bookshelves throughout the country - on people's night tables, in class rooms, people reading it on the airplane and hotels, sitting on the beach with the book and even in the bathroom! Everywhere one would read a book, that's where my book will be. I'll let you know what the final title is as soon as that is uncovered.

I can imagine Oprah interviewing me on her show about this book. Can't you? Hold that vision with me, too, please! After all, you can include yourself sitting in the audience at Harpo Studios while Oprah and I talk about the power of positive thought amplified by the use of color and gemstones. If you don't want to travel to Chicago, can't you imagine watching Oprah and you suddenly realize - wow! That's Margaret Ann Lembo! I know her for years from The Crystal Garden or I've had an Angel Gemstone Oracle Session with her - or I've sat in her classes - or she rung up my sale at The Crystal Garden . . . and the list goes on!

It will be a sparkling show. She can have other people on that have successful businesses that use color and crystals to decorate homes, hotels and business. Oprah might add spas and healing centers that incorporate the use of color, aromatherapy and chakra balancing. Oh - the power of Spiritual Healing, Feng Shui, Yoga, Tai Chi and any holistic therapy can be included on the show. Actually, this is a very good idea for a show for Oprah. I know she will like me!

Does anyone have connections to get me scheduled on Oprah in the Spring of 2009? WE can all go out for a big party in Chicago after the show, OK?

I dream big and know and trust that this or something better will become the manifest reality. And for this I am grateful.

New Age Trade Show - I'm shopping!

This blog is turning into a travel log! I'm in Denver now and enjoying the mile high city. I'm with all my fellow retailers, vendors and publishers from around the world at the International New Age Trade Show. I'll be buying new books, treasures and ROCKS at this show so any of you who live in South Florida - get ready for beautiful new treasures and inspiring books and CDs for your spirit. Going Green, Fair Trade and Buying Local are the theme of this year's show. I look forward to integrating what I've learned into The Crystal Garden and sharing the info with you for your business and life.

Besides shopping for the store, I'm a vendor sharing space with a dear friend. He's selling my Guided Meditations CDs and the Smudge In Spray at his booth for me to retailers around the world. The wholesale division of The Crystal Garden is growing a little bit each year. That's how I build the retail aspect so why not the wholesale division, right?

I will also be the emcee for 2 events - the opening breakfast and the evening banquet. That should be fun! I'll spend some time providing readings for fellow retailers using my Angel Gemstone Oracle.

I'm reading a really good book that one of my long standing customers brought to my attention. It's called Anastasia by Vladimir Megre. It's the first book of 8 books of the Ringing Cedars Series. We carry them at The Crystal Garden. It's really good and I can't wait to read the others.

Well, time to rest as I have 3 more days of non-stop day and night buying, socializing, reading, and speaking.

It's warming up!

I'm in Portland now. I really like the energy here. New Renaissance Bookshop is really lovely. It is a store that is very similar to The Crystal Garden. This store is in 3 old 2-story houses. One of the houses is where the event center is located. The other 2 are for the actual merchandise and readings. I'll be reading there today.

I must say that although it never stopped raining in Bellingham I did like it there. I know I would have loved it more with a bit of warmth and sunshine! We stayed in the home of a dear friend with her cat, Oliver. Oliver was very talkative and enjoyed as much petting as we would care to provide.

Bellingham is the home of Wise Awakening. We experienced the Interdimensional Sound Chamber there. That was a really profound experience.

And as coincidence would have it, I was able to sit with Sha Na Ra, the Crystal Skull that is now owned by the Nick Nocerino family. Kirby, the caretaker, had it with him and I was able to connect with him and the skull just an hour before his departure. This is the 2nd crystal skull I've had the pleasure to connect with. Back in around 1995, Max - the skull - was brought to The Crystal Garden for a showing and meditation. In fact, Nick Nocerino was there that day as well.

So, even amidst the rain and cold there are many blessings. Today will be 68 degrees and I'm pleased. After my day of readings I look forward to enjoy the neighborhood and find a quaint restaurant in one of the old houses on the avenue.

Pacific Northwest

I'm on the road again. The trip this time is a tour through 4 different stores that I mentioned in the previous post. We just came back from R & R on Orcas which is an island in the Pacific Ocean - part of the San Juan Islands. It was so restful and relaxing. We stayed in an authentic log cabin on the beach within an old growth forest. We had no internet, cell phone or TV services. I read 3 novels, slept, rested, walked the pebbled beach and restored my energy. It was just what I needed.

I am not used to the cold rainy weather of this area. It certainly is green and lush which creates an enchanted feeling in the forests. I am missing the sun and the warmth. I didn't realize what a Floridian I've turned into over the past 33 years!

It looks like we may make it to Vancouver tomorrow as we are so close. I hear it is lovely.

I'm working on final revisions on my book so it can be to the publisher on time. Hold the vision with me!

Moving as fast as I can!

Life is moving quickly. I am really enjoying all that is going on but man - it's all moving so fast. I must say that I am very happy with all that is happening.

I am leaving on Thursday to go to College Park, MD to Spark of Spirit. I'll be teaching the Crystal Healer Certification. Then I'll soon be off to the Pacific Northwest where I will be touring at 4 different stores. I am very excited to be at Wise Awakening in Bellingham, WA, East West Bookshop in Seattle, New Renaissance Bookshop in Portland, OR and then Healing Haven in Astoria. How cool is that!?

The only challenge I have is how to get everything done for all the businesses I run. Thank goodness my friend, Sandi, is taking on the job of updating my website. I have an amazingly fabulous staff in the companies that I run - so I think I should just chill my petunias.

My first book will be out by next Fall but first I must finish the manuscript!! Minor details? No! A major detail. Things keep arising that seemingly keep me from having my 'blocked off' days for writing. All of these things are extremely important. For example, my 94 and a half year old Dad had to have his 10 year old pacemaker replaced. Seeing as it is a surgical procedure, it is a big deal - especially at that age. I'm the only child nearby so I'm the 'daughter-on-duty' and I do so happily.He's doing great - Thank Goodness!

Other businesses are requiring meeting with officials that just can't wait so I am sending off prayers to the angels of this book to make it all work so the deadline is easily met! I have 14 chapters written and 2 more that need quite a bit of work. It'll all get done. (That's my affirmation!)

Well, time to do a few things - like finish the book, so I'll sign off for now!

Management Styles

My good friend, T.T. Douglas, who just posted a comment under the Home Again post, wrote a book titled One Hundered and Twenty Five Corporate Management Types Plus Two. This book has a summarizes description of the many manager types whou many have made or are presently making your life difficult. This is a book that will make you laugh.

I'm not finished reading yet and I wonder how many of those management types I'll fit into. I've been in the management role (sometimes it's lonely at the top) for so long so I know that it will be a humorous look at myself. Hopefully I haven't had too many of my staff over the years telling their significant other terrible things about me! It's always my intention to treat everyone with love and respect and yet as an owner of a business I just can't help wanting things done my way. It's one of the privileges of business ownership.

Ironically as I flipped through the book it opened to page 28 at manager style #63 - are you ready - NEW AGE MANAGER! What a kick! Wow, it seems that this book is a Magic Book as well. Perhaps I shall sell it as a divination tool. Open the book to any page and wherever your eyes land is your management style!

Anyway, come by The Crystal Garden to buy T.T.'s book! Read it and laugh.

Home Again

I am settling back in to handle my various job responsibilities here on the home front. The trip went well. I met nice people in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. I'm hoping to return to New Jersey when the autumn leaves are changing to offer a Crystal Healer Certification Level I and II at Soul Journey in Butler, New Jersey. I've already been asked back, so it seems they were all pleased. Sandi and her beau/leprechaun, Doug, were the hosts with the most! As it was Earth Day weekend there was a soiree of events, vendors, my Angel Sessions, demonstrations and Doug's guitar playing and singing that made for a joyful festive energy. Sandi joined hands with the Health Food store next door and a good time was had by all.

Here at home The Crystal Garden is buzzing with wonderful energy. Many new things came in when I was out of town. My fabulous staff has put out the new CD titles, which is a relief to all of us that are there day in and day out. Although we love all the choices, we've heard them all many times so we are so pleased to have new music to listen to and offer for sale to our customers.

I was definitely presented with a few challenges today. Interesting energy - trying my patience. There were at least 3 situations in various aspects of the business that seemed to be a test. (They were only a test because if it were a real emergency I would have been notified!)

Only once did I let myself get hooked in and react to the situation and self-corrected pretty quickly. The other two bothersome and inappropriate challenges were so clear that I was able to decide to detach from the situation and decided not to engage! I made a conscious choice in 2 situations to not play the game and unhooked the hook from my energy field as well as the energy field of The Crystal Garden. I chose not to buy into the drama getting created - so by not participating in it, it dissipated! Voila! Poof!

In one case I just flat out cancelled an event that was scheduled in May because it became evident that it wasn't in alignment with what my statement of intention is for my store and center - AND because the challenging people associated with it just couldn't adhere to my policies and procedures. It's challenging sometimes because it appears that people find it hard to digest that a store like The Crystal Garden is a real business with real business policies and procedures! If I didn't have policies and procedures clearly in place I probably wouldn't still be in business - for 20 years now. Mama Mia!

Now it's time to put some attention on a few other businesses that I run and then onto my book. I always have to "clear the decks" in order to get to the book. I was grateful to have written over 6000 words while I was at the country house in the mountains of Pennsylvania. I must get back in that mode very soon as there is a deadline for the manuscript to the publishing house. I know and trust it will be done in plenty of time and I have all the angels, Crystal Guardians and muses on my side so that when I do sit to write it just pours out of me. It's a very dynamic process and experience.

I believe it is time for rest now.

No Room in the Inn

We've been meandering on this trip. It's a nice change to the 'got get there' mentality that may normally be associated with a trip from Florida to the Tri-State area. With this trip, we are being in the moment, stopping, looking, stretching, walking and having presence. What a nice change!

We arrived in the Washington-Baltimore area last night at about 9 pm and decided we should find a place to stay instead of driving all the way to PA. Hmmmm - after 2 stops at hotels we found that there is no room in the inn - in any inn in this area That is a bit of an exaggeration. We stopped at a Fairfield Inn that we stayed at when I was offering events and Angel Gemstone Oracle Sessions last year at Spark of Spirit in College Park, MD. Well, after checking into the one room left, the hotel rep said "Just so you know, you have to carry all your luggage up a flight of steps!) OK - come on - wouldn't you mention something like that before you charged my credit card? Due to the amount of luggage, laptops, projector for Power Point, etc. - that just wasn't an option. We weren't going to leave that in the car overnight.

I called my friend, Dianne, owner of Spark of Spirit, to see what suggestions she might have. Aaaah - The Pope! She reminded me that the Pope will be arriving so everyone is in the neighborhood to see him. (BTW, I'll be at Spark of Spirit for the Crystal Healer Certification and Angel Gemstone Oracle Sessions in May)

Vincent and I drove and drove. It probably felt longer than it was. Finally, we got off at exit 77 in Edgewater because we saw a sign for a Hampton Inn. I like the Hilton chain of hotels and we were blessed with the last room at around 11 pm last night. Whew! I must say that I did ask the angels out loud, "OK, angels, please let there be a room left for us here. I really do like this hotel! Please!" Sure enough, we settled in and had warm sweet dreams. Thank you, Angels!

This weather is definitely colder than I am used to. It was in the high 30s last night. I've lived in South Florida for 33 years now. I'm really a baby about warmth. My hands are already chapped. The great news is that spring has sprung, the trees are green, the flowers are blooming and all is well. It appears that I'll be blessed with 70 degree weather on Friday and Saturday! Woo Hoo!

Check out time is approaching so it's time to pack it up and move on.

Fine feathered friends

I'm on the road again. My sweetheart and I are traveling up the East Coast on I95 heading for Pennsylvannia. I had to leave my macaw, ShaNay, at The Crystal Garden where she has lived for 17 years to visit other fine feathered friends in other parts. (These friends don't have visible wings!) Take notice of the crystal singing bowls in the background of the photo. Sha Na and Mikael, my white dove, are in one of the showrooms at the store.

Anyway, we stopped to see a friend in Jacksonville. She has a new puppy. We had a fun and joyful visit. Last night we stopped in Florence, SC. We'll be in Pennsylvannia by late tonight. I'll be offering Angel Gemstone Oracle sessions and the Crystal Healer Certification at Soul Journey in Butler, NJ this weekend. All is Well

I am finally rid of that cough and feeling well again. I've been busy and happy enjoying teaching and sharing. It seems more and more people are wanting to connect with their angels for guidance and help. You know it is really easy. Simply think the thought, " OK angels, I really need your help with ______ " and fill in the blank. It can be a really big request or a very simple mundane request. No job is too big and no job is too small for the angels. They really want to help but their wings are tied until you make a request. So ask away and don't hold back. Why not live an easier charmed life with the help from the Angelic Kingdom?

This Spring Equinox is a very powerful time. All the solstices and equinoxes are powerful but this one was a doubly intense powerful moment in time because of the Full Moon occurring at the same time. And of course, add Easter to that equation and it kicks the energy up a notch with all that praying and ceremony from the Christian community. Easter occurs on the first Sunday after or on the first Full Moon after the Spring Equinox. I know of Native American ceremonies and Vision Quests that are always scheduled in conjunction with the first Full Moon after the Spring Equinox. Many indigenous cultures built their pyramids so the light will shine down the side of a pyramid or through a very specific opening in the structure. So these moments are pretty important if so many cultures built huge monuments and conducted ceremony around these cycles. According to msnbc.msn.com, the next time Easter will fall so early is 2160. Hmmmm . . . unless we lengthen our life expectancy or figure out immortality, we won't be seeing that!

The energy of this powerful time is still available to tap into. What do you want to change or make better in your life? Once you decide that talk with your angels about it, create some sort of ceremony or sit with a journal to map out how you will re-create your reality. After all, it's all up to you! Make it what you truly want it to be.

Writing, coughing and working

It certainly is time for me to find the time to rest and relax. I keep acquiring this cough, releasing it and then it finds me again. Jeez Louise, I am really ready for it to be gone! I made myself a big pot of chicken soup so that always helps to nurture me.

I also made my ginger tea with honey and lemon. I have found that the trick to making a good cup of ginger tea is to bring the water to boil. While it's boiling, peel brown skin off the ginger. Remove the water from the heat and grate the ginger into the tea. Let is steep for 3 - 4 minutes. Get out your raw honey and pour it into the cup. Squeeze the half of one lemon into the cup and add the hot ginger tea to it and stir. Mmmm good! Soothing with some jazz. It really helps to break up the cough and sooth the throat.

I've been diligently working on my book. I am writing a book on crystals, spiritual healing and much more. I'll tell you a bit from time to time just to put a teaser out there. I am in the process of reviewing a contract with a fabulous large publishing house. I am so grateful and pleased. As soon as there is a signed deal and I've accomplished more on the book, I will let you know more. The goal is to have the book in the Fall 2009 catalog. Send me good writing vibes!!!

Finding balance is the trick, though. I still need to manage and work the companies that I am responsible for while finding time to rest, pay attention to my 94 and a half year old Dad, enjoy my sweetheart and my friends and still write. Oh yeah, sleeping is a good idea. Oh, don't take me wrong, I am not complaining. My type A personality thrives on this!

Time for me to take a walk on A1A in Palm Beach with my sweetheart!

I just spent 2 days at Elysian Fields (www.elysianfieldsonline.com) in Sarasota, FL doing Angel Gemstone Oracle Readings. Anyway, Elysian Fields is a really fabulous bookstore and gift store. If you are ever visiting the area, go shop there! I aspire to have my store raise up even one iota closer to the classy and profitable level that they are at. It's always good to have a role model or a business model to aspire to and move toward. With anything in life, it is beneficial to have a vision or goal within your consciousness when you are progressing your body, mind or spirit.

Now I have 2 days in Clearwater visiting with my godmother, Aunt Rose (90), and my Aunt Dolly. Aunt Dolly is visiting from Long Island so it will be a real treat for me to see both of them. I love being with my family. It's actually my favorite thing to do. I am blessed with an amazing family. It certainly has made my life much better because of their loving and supportive nature. Aaaaah . . . I am pausing now for a Moment of Gratitude!

Sleeping again

Thank goodness I am sleeping again. My good friend, Sandi, posted a comment on my trouble sleeping post. I have found that once my stress level is reduced I sleep better. And, if I awaken now at 2 or 3 am . . . or whenever, I find that I am using it to work on my book when the world around me is very quiet. This works well as long as I don't have to get up early and out of the house early the next day. I did that writing in the "Witching Hours" as Sandi put it and found that I was very tuned in and really accomplished quite a bit. I didn't have to get up the next day, so I went back to sleep at around 5 am slept til 9:32 am and felt great all day!

I just finished teaching Crystal Healer Level 1 at The Crystal Garden. What a great group we were! We laughed quite a lot. My staff wanted to know if my class had turned into a comedy club. So we laughed, we learned, we cried, we meditated and we laugh some more. I'll be teaching the Level 1 of the Crystal Healer Certification in 2 weeks at the Self-Enrichment Center in Coral Gables (Miami), Florida (www.self-enrichmentcenter.com). I am looking forward to teaching it at Soul Journey in Butler, New Jersey in April (www.souljourney.com) then at Spark of Spirit in College Park, MD (Washington, D.C. area) in May (www.sparkofspirit.com). You can always go to my Where's Margaret? link on my website to see where I will be. If you are interested, that is! I will be traveling out to Washington State to speak at East West Bookshop in Seattle, WA as well as Wise Awakenings in Bellingham, WA and The Healing Haven in Astoria, OR. That should be a nice tour. I tour to teach, do private sessions and promote my CDs which are Guided Meditation CDs. Soon I'll be promoting my book! How exciting! I'll tell more as it unfolds.

I have been doing well on Jenny Craig. I have incorporated more meals on my own as the processed food sure does have a lot of preservatives. I am using the lymphatic patches as I melt away the pounds to detox the toxins being released with my fat cells. I've slimmed down by 7 pounds in just under 3 weeks. That's great! Yay!

Crystals with inclusions

My friend and colleague, Carmen, posted about her connection and experience with a carbon included enhydro tibetan twin scepter quartz crystal. Wow! What a crystal! It has so much going on. First of all, carbon is the foundation of all life. We all come from carbon - ancient dust. Enhydro means that there is water trapped inside this crystal that comes from the sacred land of Tibet. The fact that is is a twin means that there are 2 crystals growing together, side-by-side, in a scepter point which is direct and connected with All That Is. Trouble Sleeping

Well, here it is 3 am and once again I am awake. It must be the time of my life that creates the energy for waking up at 2:30 or 3 am almost every night. Mama Mia! I'm trying almost everything short of sleeping pills to stay asleep. I just don't stay asleep. I love it when I get a full 6-8 hours of sleep, don't you?

I just join Facebook. I'm not sure what I am going to do with it yet, but I am a member now. Have you had any good experiences with it yet? The things one does at 3 am!

I'm off the find the zzzzzzzs and then try to catch them!

Sparkling Gemstones

While I was at INATS East I also shopped for my store. I bought a lot of gemstone and crystal jewelry. Wow . . . did I get some really amazing pieces. It's been a while since I've found such high quality in gemstones and in jewelry. It's arrived just in time for Valentine's Day, too!

I've been looking for sugilite for a long time. The last time I asked one of my gemstone suppliers, she said, "Sugilite is scarcer than hen's teeth." That made me laugh as I have never heard that expression. What a hoot! I did find some teeny tiny tumbled pieces of sugilite and they are already selling well at The Crystal Garden. I believe I found a piece or two within the jewelry as well. The first time I found sugilite was in Glastonbury, England. I went their to visit the Tor and Chalice Well. Sugilite is a stone for opening to Divine Love or the spiritual aspects of love. It helps to raise one's vibration for developing intuition and connection with the Higher Self and Higher Consciousness.

I did get a lot of tourmaline jewelry. Watermelon tourmaline is one of my favorites. It's a great stone for opening the heart chakra and helping you to give and receive love. It's called watermelon tourmaline because the stone is green on the outside and pink on the inside. When you cut it in slices it looks like watermelon!

On a totally different subject, I signed up for Jenny Craig today. I really want to drop 44 pounds to start and I'm calling all angels to assist me in this process. My affirmation is: "I am so grateful that I am now in the process of becoming a slimmer person." And, ya know how all those movie stars are using Jenny Craig? Well, after I dropped off my food at my house, I went to the store to get my vegetables and fruits. I forgot my regular glasses in the car so I had to wear my sunglasses to see . . . . do you think I'm on my way to stardom and I was practicing my incognito routine? Ha!

Happy to have my blog back!

Wow! It's been a long time. My blog has been out of commission. I have learned that it might be important to have many links to many websites. It appears that because I was pointing most of the links to my websites the robots with Google thought I was in violation. I didn't know that and now the blogger team has reviewed my blog and found that I am good to go! Yay!

I've done a lot since my last posting. My friend, Victoria Rose Martin, has helped me enormously with branding my business and now I am working to change all the pages in my website. It's a big job and I am an amatuer nerdette, but I really love creating pages within my website. Victoria has been teaching me so much and I am so gratefule for her support.

I just returned from INATS East. INATS stands for the International New Age Trade Show. I was grateful to have the opportunity to be a speaker for one of the pre-show seminars for fellow retailers. I spoke on tools and knowledge to sell crystals and gemstone jewelry in their retail shop. I've had close to 20 years experience selling crystals and gemstones and I've been teaching a Crystal Healer Certification Course since 2001 and variations on that course since the early 1990s. I had a good time sharing what I know and then I stayed the full day and was the M.C. I have a Leo Moon so it made me happy to stand on the stage and introduce the rest of the great speakers lined up. I was also able to introduce my friend, Victoria Rose Martin, the next day when she gave her talk on Web Design.

During the INATS trade show, I was stationed for hours at a time doing Angel Gemstone Oracle Readings at the New Age Retailer Magazine booth. If you are a retailer and are looking for spiritual or metaphysical vendors and articles to help you with your business, I highly recommend getting a free subscription to the magazine. And, if you sell a product that you want to be distributed nationally, then vendors . . . buy an ad! It has definitely helped with the sale of my 6 Guided Meditation CDs. I have used the New Age Retailer Magazine as a staple tool in my business, The Crystal Garden, for over 18 years. It was great to spend time with the Editor in Chief of New Age Retailer, Kathy McGee and other colleagues like James Wanless, creator of the Voyager Tarot.

I am also involved with a great trade organization called the Coalition of Visionary Resources which you can find at www.covr.net. I joined this organization about a year and a half ago. It has been one of the best things I could do to grow my business. I am part of the Retailer's Newsgroup and now I am even on the Board of Directors. Even with donating my time to the organization, I continue to learn, make new friends and develop further contacts that become win-win connections. If you have a visionary business, then join this trade organization. The membership fee is really inexpensive so it's a no brainer to become a member! There are so many benefits. Go look at their website and see for yourself. It's comforting and supportive to belong to an organization that has vendors helping vendors and retailers helping retailers throughout the country!

Well, that's the update for today. I should get back to tweaking my website for The Crystal Garden!

Moving right along

Well, it does seem to be back to the drawing board, the desk, the grind or whatever you want to call it. I have been exceptionally productive lately which always makes me feel good. I'm preparing for a number of events that I'll be facilitating. The next one is tomorrow night, Sat, 1/5 at Simply Yoga in Delray Beach. I'll be facilitating a Drumming Circle which is always profound and transformational.

I'm also getting ready for my talk that I'll be doing at the International New Age Trade Show. I'm one of the Pre-Show Seminar speakers and I'll be talking about Crystals and helping other retailers like myself to know the gemstones better and have the tools to sell them better. I love to talk about gemstones.

So, let's talk gemstones for a moment. What is your favorite gemstones? Or what gemstone are you attracted to carrying or wearing these days? I always love diamonds. You know that they carry the full spectrum of light, just like Clear Quartz Crystals and therefore, they magnify your thoughts and your intentions. They are great stones for manifesting and attracting what you want in your life. I was recently gifted with a white topaz ring. White topaz is similar to the vibrations of any clear stone. It brings clarity and focus to manifesting all your desires into reality.

Of course I offer classes on Crystals and Gemstones at The Crystal Garden. I will be teaching a Crystal Healer Certification in Feb at The Crystal Garden and one in March in Coral Gables (Miami) at the Self-Enrichment Center.

Today I am nurturing my 94 year old Dad. He has a cold or a flu. He's not feeling so great but I am hand feeding him chicken soup and hoping he'll get the energy to sit at the table for our traditional New Year's meal.

I follow the tradition that my Mom set in motion. Today we are having a Pork roast which I seasoned to resemble Pernil. MMMMM . . . . the house smells so good. We have pork to honor that we will be only looking forward and not looking back at what is no longer. Pigs can only look forward. They can not turn their heads to look behind them.

We also have Black Eyed peas. I think Mom got this idea from a southern cooking magazine years ago. It's a southern tradition to eat Black Eyed peas to symbolize coins or prosperity.

And the third necessary item on the menu is dark green leafy greens. I chose Broccoli Rabe. I saute it with plenty of garlic and olive oil, some garlic salt, and today I added Adobo seasoning in honor of the Pernil. The reason for the dark green leafy vegetables is for adding health and wealth. Health like the green herbs of healing and Wealth like our green money.

Getting Ready for 2008

I'm still cleaning. The "sanitation engineers" will be duly impressed with the amount of stuff we will be putting at the curb tonight. I even had the carpet and upholstery cleaned at my house today. It feels really good to see the results. The upholstery on the couches and club chair will take 8 hours to dry, but who cares? My sweetheart and I will spend a quiet evening enjoying each other's company. It would have been nice to have a few friends over but I waited a bit too long to invite them

The other tools for clearing out old stale energy besides good old fashion decluttering and soap and water is using smudging products. Many like to use sage and other smoking products. It works well, but what if you don't want your house to be smoky? You can try using essential oils in combination and still get the same affect. I use a blend that I created called Smudge in Spray: Pray and Spray which combines essential oils, sacred sites essences, Florida Water and much more . . . Love and Blessings! I encourage you to make your own version. If you don't want to or don't know where to start, you can always get mine. It's available online or go get it at The Crystal Garden.

The whole point is smudging, whether using smoking products or essential oils, is to clear out negative thoughtforms that accumulate energetically in your space. Everything has a vibration and those vibrations will stay - good or bad - until you consciously move them out. The oils or plants to use are sage, cedar, frankincense, myrrh, sandalwood, pine, lemon and many more. All these oils are available at my store or go to your local metaphysical or New Age bookstore. Support your local store! I know I appreciate it when my customers buy locally . . . at my place.

Cleaning Spree, Chicken Soup and Aromatherapy

It must be the energy of removing old energy because I am on a cleaning spree. I just had the carpets and rug cleaned at The Crystal Garden. It sure does make for a nice ritual to clean out the old before the New Year. I love the feeling of things being fresh and clean. I've got to get around to making that happen at my house too!

My sweetheart is starting to recover from a cold/flu. It gave me the opportunity to nurture which I love to do and he is a willing recipient. I made chicken soup which always makes the house smell so good. And speaking of things smelling good, I used quite a bit of aromatherapy on him too. First, Auntie M's Anti. It's my personal blend that I created a few years ago because a friend of mine couldn't kick her flu. It was the creation of this and a few other aromatherapy blends that helped in coining the nickname, "Magic Margaret." Auntie M's Anti has oils that are anti-microbial, anti-viral, anti-septic, anti-fungus and anti-anything-that's-not-good-for you! I always use it on the airplane by putting it under my nose on a hankie or tissue. It's calming and anti-everything!

I continued to use quite a bit of aromatherapy. My naturopath friend taught me that putting the essential oil on the souls of your feet is effective in getting it through your system. Other oils to use for colds are ravensara, eucalyptus, thyme, and there are many more. I will be teaching an Aromatherapy Course at The Crystal Garden in February.

Well, I think it's time to watch a movie and rest for a change. Rest and relaxation . . . hmmmmm . . . a novel idea!

Dreams do come true!

So, the Crystal Singing Bowl Meditation experience went well last night. There were nine of us and we all had different things that we were focusing on to bring into reality. There are some regulars that attend. I'll change the names here, but, Robin comes everytime I offer the event. She's been having great experiences and always leaves feeling all tuned up.

You know, everything is energy. And all energy vibrates. And all vibration has sound. Well, we each have a vibration that sounds either harmonious or . . . not! When we re-calibrate our chakras back to the note that they were intended to be sounding like, it helps us walk on this planet in alignment with our highest good.

I've heard great testimonials. One client manifest her car and her Yoga Studio within days of attending this event. I've been working on getting my CDs into Whole Foods and finally they are in 5 Whole Foods in Florida. Step by step . . . inch by inch . . . with the power of visualizaion, imagination and believing, anything is possible!

So whether you want higher self-esteem, better meditation experiences, more love in your life, money, guidance . . . whatever your desire, you can achieve! Ra! Ra! Sis-koom-BA! (That was my cheerleader Angel, chirping in. I guess she's "on duty" this morning.
