Looking for a room or ride share?

So, after spending way too long thinking about how to let people find a roomshare arrangement with others attending or get a ride from SF or other areas local to Edges to attend TNG4, I finally gave in and setup forums on the TNG4 website.

I thought about setting up a mail list, using LJ here, myspace, Tribe, and they all had one problem - you had to give up a little bit of personal info, some more than others, to put yourself out there to ask for or offer a roomshare.

Now, you can register for the forums and the only people who will see your email address are the administrators (all two or three of us). Use the same name you use everywhere else or something else. ~~Cruise~~ Look for room and ride share arrangements with a little bit of privacy!

Hotel glitch fixed

Some of you noticed while trying to get your hotel rooms that the hotel's reservation system told you that there were no more rooms available from our block of rooms.

While we would have been ecstatic that all the rooms we had in our block had actually been taken, it just turned out to be a website glitch.

So no more calling the Hotel and having to find the General Manager, you can just go directly to their website as before and get your rooms now

Now get your rooms quickly before the rate goes up later this week!

Registration and Hotel News and Reminders

Remember, registration for TNG4 goes up on Feb 1 to $100 and the room rate of $89/night we negotiated is guaranteed only through Jan 31, so if you have not registered or gotten your hotel room, please act soon before the rates go away! Also, you can make your hotel reservations before registering for TNG4.

We have added some additional options for registration for people who want more flexible options: Single Day/Night registrations and a way to do onsite registration that may work for some folks.

Single Day/Night Registration and Onsite Registration
Some of you have asked about registering for a single day or night or about on-site registration, and we've heard you! You can find all of this over on the TNG4 website, but read on if you want to know now.
Register for just a day or a night
Want to attend TNG4 but just cannot spend the entire weekend with us? We understand that circumstances may not let you attend for all three days and nights of TNG4, so we're letting you register now for just a single day's programs or a single evening's party for just $25. Take a look at our registration page for more information.

On-site Registration
Enough of you asked about this that we went and looked for ways to do onsite registration at the door. Due to our arrangement with our venue, Edges, on-site registration is available only in the following cases:

To Edges members and their guests.
With prior contact to us at registration@tngcon.org

Please note that while we are not charging extra for on-site registration for either the full weekend or single day/night options, on-site registration will be on a space-available basis. We hope to have room for everyone who wants to go, but to be sure, register soon!

Registration Glitch Fixed.

We had some problems with credit card processing via Google Checkout, but instead of making you all wait while we sorted things out with them, we went and moved to a different registration system that does not rely upon Google Checkout for credit card Processing.

If you registered via the old system, rest assured, your registration is still valid, so we will see you at the Registration Desk at TNG4!

TNG4, the conference for younger pervs ages 18-35, comes to Edges on President's Day Weekend. We will be bringing in speakers and guests from all over to this conference.

This is a big job and we need your help!!

Come to Edges* on January 19th meet the nice folks putting on TNG4 and learn how you can help. Like many SM events, volunteers will do the vast majority of the work done at TNG4, so we need volunteers to make this work!

For volunteering you get reduced admission to TNG4 where you can meetand interact with other attendees and event guests, a T-shirt, and abig hug! Act quickly to get the choice positions. Dressing roomattendant anyone?

Even if you cannot volunteer, come and learn what we will be doing on this fun filled weekend. We always love an audience! And if you do volunteer, you will get half off admission to that night's party at Edges.

Registration is now $75 through end of January

We cut the registration price for TNG4 to $75 through the end of January.

That's right, you can now get the same three days and three nights of great classes, awesome parties, and tons of fun with some very lovely people for $50 less than before!

We cut our costs in many areas and are passing the benefits on to you, so, if you have been thinking about whether to attend, this should make the decision easier to make.

After the end of January, registration for TNG4 goes up $100, so act quickly -- that's just over three weeks away! (Those who have already registered will be credited the difference --The Management)

Go to the TNG4 website to register online. You'll get information about how to make room reservations online at the Hawthorn Suites in Santa Clara with our $89/night room rate.

We offer registration discounts for volunteers who help out with TNG4 both before the event and during it. We are finalizing the list of volunteer jobs, but you can check out the discounts available and a list of roles we'll be filling in the coming weeks on our Volunteer info page.

Registration opens Dec 15 2007!

Hello!

I know you have all been waiting a while to hear something from us here at TNG4, and I must apologize for all the delay. We had some delays in getting registration ready for you all, but registration is just around the corner, so we feel a little more comfortable talking ourselves up a little bit more now.

Registration for TNG4 opens this Saturday, Dec 15 2007 at 12:30am. You will find more information about registration on the registration page.

We will send you a confirmation, information about the event venue, and a registration link so you can make reservations at the local hotel where we have negotiated the low rate of $89/night.

Expect more from us this week about everything we have in the works for TNG4 including the presenters we have lined up, parties, and, because I told Ryan I would say something about it, the Fetish Olympics events he is planning for the Friday night Social.

Sorry about the delays, we're still trying to get registration up and running!

I've heard from the program committee and its sounding like it's filling out pretty well. Once we've got something more solid (and I get a chance to turn it into something easy to view!) we'll have more than just the teasers up.
