Sometimes it seems to show up out of thin air. Sometimes it seems you can't muster it up for all the tea in China. The other day, I was in Galveston watching the waves. On this day, there would be big waves, choppy waves, small waves, no waves. In a few short minutes, the waves seemed to have a mind of their own. There was no consistency...no predictability. It was driving the surfers to their cars.
After nearly 24 years in full time ministry, I sometimes feel the same way. We all seem to scream for consistent momentum. We're all searching for the perfect wave. We all want it to finally be easy for a change.
There are moments of great momentum. Someone told me once, "I don't understand momentum but I do know that when it arrives, ride it for all it's worth". The "seize the day" mantra comes to mind here.
As I have been praying this morning, I really sense that momentum is building in the Spirit realm. Here are a few momentum bullet points to consider.
BE PREPARED.
BE ENCOURAGED
BE PATIENT
BE PRAYING
BE WATCHING
BE VISIONARY
BE STRONG
Momentum moves us. Are you ready to move? Are you ready to ride? Are you ready for the journey? Spiritual momentum is building in the distance...It could be of the tsunami sort. It's happened before and who am I to say it won't happen again.
"And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, That I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams, And on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days; and they shall prophesy."
