What an amazing day!

Friday we all went to the site, The Pruyn House, to set up, decorated and played with the table layout. I was super worried that everything wouldn't fit but it all fit perfectly. We were there for most of the afternoon, went home to change for the rehearsal and came back to the site. The rehearsal was super quick. About fifteen minutes then we were on our way to the rehearsal dinner at the Century House. It was wonderful. The food was really good, everyone had a great time and of course my mom and Scott's dad got a little emotional, so cute!

After the rehearsal a bunch of us went to Friday's for a drink. I left Scotty there with the boys, went home and packed my stuff and went to my moms. My sisters and I were going to have a movie night sleep over but we were all so tired, we ended up just going right to bed.

Our Pruyn House / Buhrmaster Barn Wedding!

Saturday~~our wedding day! :) I woke up super excited but expecting rain. The weather man said 100% chance of rain on our wedding day all week long so I didn't expect it to change. When I woke it was drizzling and a little misty out but hey, i said if its just misty all day, I'll take it.

Ali, Beck and I went to panera for some yummy lunch, and then to the salon to get our hair done. Becky and Wendy went to my aunts salon and met us at ours afterwards to get their makeup done. I did my own makeup, it looked really awesome I think. Not to over the top but not to suttle. We all headed to my parents house to grab our dresses and all our stuff. The Limo picked us up at 2:30 and took us to the Pruyn House (our wedding site), dropped us off and went back to pick up the boys. We hung out for a while before we got dressed, danced while the dj was setting up and ordered a pizza cause we were hungry hahhaa. We finally decided to get dressed, our awesome photographer got there and started taking pics of us and then we were ready to roll. Everyone looked amazing!! Surprisingly I wasn't nervous at all. I was super excited and ready.

Our ceremony was super fast. Just how we wanted it. I walked down the aisle with my dad and then seven minutes later we were married! YAY.

The reception was beyond perfect. The food amazing, the dj awesome, the dancing so much fun. Everyone had a blast. No one wanted the night to end. We made the rounds and said hi to everyone and thanked them for coming. Everyone was dancing till the very end.

The Town car picked Scott and I up and took us to our suite at the Desmond. It was super awesome. Champagne and strawberries with whipped cream arrived, we opened some of our wedding gifts, and ended up staying up till 2 am talking about how amazing our Wedding Day was!!! Ill skip the other details of our night heehee!

The next morning we went to brunch at my parents house. A lot of our wedding guests showed up there which was nice. We spent the rest of the day relaxing and reminiscing.

Everything was just perfect. More so than I could have ever hoped for. We knew it was going to be great but we had no idea how great!!! It was a perfect day and we loved every minute of it. We want to do it all over again because it was so much fun!!! I loved my dress, I loved the food, the dancing, the location. I loved everything. Our bridesmaids and groomsman did an amazing job and they all looked fantastic!!! I wouldn't have changed one thing about our day! It was magical!! :) And most of all Im so happy to be married to my amazing husband!!!

Wedding Weather!

So, so far so good with weather for our wedding day. Of course it may change but its good to know its not starting out saying its raining. Im hoping it stays this way. I would be happy with 66 degree weather and sunny. :)

9 days to go!! Im getting super excited!!! I have lots to do this weekend, house cleaning, wrapping bridesmaids gifts, buttoning up the last few things we have to do and figuring out finances, making sure everyones paid :) The spare room has become the wedding room. I have everything we need for the big day ready to go, in that room :) As well as my super fabulous rehearsal dinner dress. Im super excited about wearing that. It looks so awesome!!!

Family comes into town monday I think so its sure to be a busy weekend of preparing for that. I just cant believe we get married next weekend. Seems unreal to me. Im so so excited but so so nervous!!

Ali is friggin awesome!! She printed out my placecards for me last night. Thank god for her because I would have had no clue at all had to set them up on the cute paper I got. Shes a place card wiz!! They came out beautiful, I couldnt be happier. I cant wait to see them all set up on the table in the barn!!! The font we picked looks amazing. Im so excited about them! Ali your awesome!!!

I finalized the flowers, cupcake tower, and photographer schedule, and tonight we meet with the DJ to finalize our playlist!!! So far so good!! Everything is coming together as planned! YAY!

As weird as this may sound, last night was the first time I got really excited about the wedding. I was in my car on my way home from Becky's little birthday shindig, listening to the first dance song Scott and I picked and I immediately got all giddy and super happy and excited. There has been so much going on, so many things to get done, deadlines, guest lists, vendors to pay, things to make, lists to create and appointments to make that I kind of have gotten lost in it all and never gave myself a chance to be really excited. Well last night It finally hit me just how awesome this is. That 17 days from now Im going to be Mrs. Johnston. We are going to be married, husband and wife. One of the biggest steps two people can take in their life and were about to take it. It was a nice feeling to finally be that excited, to really look forward to our big day and try to forget about the issues we had finally getting here. There werent many issues, and of course we knew it wouldnt be total smooth sailing, but it wil be nice when the day finally arrives and we can relax and be with all of our friends and family :)

Also on my way home last night, my sister Becky texted me and said "I'm so lucky to have you in my life!" I totally cried when I read that. I've always wanted her and I to be super close and for some reason we never really were, growing up. But over the past few years we really have gotten close and confided in each other and really been there for each other. We finally have the kind of relationdship I think sisters should have and it really hit me hard just how much that meant to me when she wrote that. Im so glad shes close by so we can spend time together.

I am so excited to also have both of my sisters and my two closest friends in my wedding. As well as all my friends and family there to. Its so strange to wait for this your wedding day to come. You dream about it and secretly plan it in your head for years and then when its finally almost here, its almost scary but in a good way! :)

Hair trial pics

Went for my hair trial last night. I really like the way it came out. Its not flat to my head, i hate that, and its super cute and girly. After my hair trial, Ali and I went over to my aunts for my last dress fitting. The hair style looks great with my dress to. And Im really glad its up and away from my face. That would annoy me all night if it was down. :) Yeah two more things done!

RIP: Baby Fish

After a long grueling Friday of trying to save her and a weekend of her fighting, Baby Fish died today.

I had three fish at the office, now down to two. Orion is a orange huge goldfish, the biggest one and the one Ive had the longest, hes turning 6 years in a few months. Lexus is a silver and red goldfish, hes about 4 and a half years. I got him the same time I got Baby. Baby was the smallest of the three. To me Orion and Lexus always seemed like the boys cause they were bigger and usually picked on Baby so I assumed Baby was the girl lol.

Thursday I noticed she didn't look like her usual happy self. She was kind of hiding in the corner and her fins looked a little shabby and rough. By Friday she was having a hard time swimming and kept turning upside down. I isolated her and put pure oxygen in her water which seemed to revive her a bit. But by this morning she was no longer with us!!! Baby fish was a good fish, and she lived a good life! My dad and I buried her underneath the tree outside next to the lilies :)

We will miss you Baby fish! :( sniff sniff

25 days until the wedding YIKESABEE!

Yes that's right, 25 days away! Holy crap. What happened to the care free days when my countdown had three digits it in. I was ok with it being 100 days away, even 50 days away. But gosh, now 25 days?? Where did the time go? I mean seriously. I feel like Scott proposed like last week but no, its actually been almost ten months since that night.

Of course I am beyond excited, but mostly so nervous. Every time I picture myself walking down the aisle I start to feel sick. Not because I am afraid to get married, just afraid of the whole experience. Like Ive said before in previous blogs, I'm not a huge fan of being the center of attention, Id much rather just blend in and not be the focus. I realize I have no choice but to be the center of attention at our wedding, but its still nerve racking.

I'm also nervous about the happenings of the day. I am just hoping everything runs smoothly, and most of all that everyone has a great time! I don't want there to be any drama or scenes to deal with. I just want to have fun, relax and be surrounded by my friends and family.

Its been a bit of a hike to get where we are right now. Lots to do, tons of planning and arranging and of course lots of time spent trying to please absolutely everyone under the sun. I finally had to just sit back and realize that there is no possible way to please everyone. We have done what we could. We are very happy with everything we have planned and I truly think it will all be so amazing on the actual day that it will seem like up to that point was a walk in the park.

Tonight I have my trial run Hair appointment. I'm super excited. I'm hoping they can do a few designs so I can see how different things will look. Ali is coming with me, I'm happy she will be there to give me ideas and critique. I usually am not a fan of up dos cause they always turn out being so flat to my head. But I'm glad to have a friend there to give me some feedback so I wont look like a big tool. After the hair appt, we are going to my aunts for my final dress fitting. YAYAYAY. I cant wait to see it and try it on. Ali hasn't seen it yet so I'm super excited to show her! :)

So far so good, like I said, 25 days and counting. Im sure the next few weeks will be so jammed packed they will fly by. :)
