Ever since being connected the network has been down for more than half the time. On complaining with Sify, after much follow-up they send the Engineer on the next day. The Engineer fiddles with the computer and cables, some how gets the connection working after going to the terrace. After 2 – 3 days the trouble starts all over again.<br />Time &amp; again this matter has also been reported to the Sify Customer Care which does not care for the customer but rudely gets into unnecessary arguments saying that such problems are natural. Customer support after office hours at Sify &amp; their HO is non-existent. Normally during office hours the Internet users are at office and rarely require the Internet connections. But I spoke to Japan for 40 minutes and my Balance showed as exhausted. Instead of Rs.2 per minute they charged Rs.10 per minute. Subsequently I made complaint they through telephone and email on 13th of February. They emailed that it was there technical fault and they told it will be rectify and they will let me know. As I need to talk on enquiry to customer support department assured me that there would be no problem for second time but subsequently they cautioned me not to use the service as same problem will arise but I had already purchased another new card.<br />The whole ting shows the clear violation and conditions. There response to my mails and phone was irresponsible. Inspite of the innumerable complains posted in a number of forums and websites, they seem completely disinterested in improving their service. They seem to be living in a world of their own. Sify provides pathetic customer service, bad connectivity, they have no refund or reimbursment policy. They will deduct one days internet access if a customer crosses the 150 mb limit, however they will not reimburse the customer for any downtime caused by their sub-standard network and servers, no matter how long the downtime may last. But at the end of the day, Sify is not the only one to blame for such pathetic service, but regulatory authorities like TRAI etc. are also responsible for turning a blind eye to the situation.
