Greetings ESO!

The EcoSoccer Tournament looks like it is going to be this Sunday, April 6th on BU Beach from 1:30-5pm (there is a Facebook group).

I was wondering if anyone was interested in putting a team together ("the Granola Munchers"?). There are three people to a team, so it would be really groovy if there were a couple teams for ESO (represent!). If you are interested, please e-mail me at khowarth@bu.edu so I can get a list of names together to send to the Soccer Club.

Fourth friday of the month. It's critical mass time.

Though the skies are gray and the streets are slick, a group of bikers will be assembling in Copley for a little tour de boston at 6 tonight. If anyone is interested we can get a mini-mass meeting on marsh at 530... if not, i'm sure i'll see some of you at copley. Ride safe

Okay, everyone. So, I know it's not April yet. But, so much is going on for the environment that I'm getting excited just thinking about it. First, we kick off the month with an Eco-Soccer tournament on the 6th. We'll set up tables, maybe have a team, it should be awesome. And, it might be a little warmer then.
Then, we have Massachusetts Powershift (MAPS) from the 11th to the 14th. I hope everyone signed up. We have tons of speakers coming, and lots of seminars to attend.
We're also selling our T-shirts, going to the Student Union for the Green Fee, and enjoying the lull in school-work before finals.
If you have any ideas, questions, comments, please post them here.

Just a heads up ESO bikers. They're doing construction on comm ave. replacing some old parking meters. Not sure how long this is going to last but I had my bike locked up to one earlier today. When I came out of class the top of the meter was cut off and the bike was gone. I'm hoping to track it down, but just wanted to let you know to use the bike racks for the time being as to avoid any city of boston shenanigans.

Concert Thursday!

Melodeego (http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendID=6634793) and BU's MCM (http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendID=291912271) will be playing at 14 Pratt on Thursday night in a benefit concert for Power Shift 2008. The event will go from 8-12, with the band starting up as soon as everyone's here. I know you guys are busy with midterms and papers and such, but try to plan ahead because it's going to be rockin'.

We're hoping for a huge turnout, so anyone is welcome to come with extras. We will be charging a cover and selling drinks, with all proceeds benefiting MAPS. So come on down and kick off spring break right!

I don't know what people are talking about. But, I am blogging fine. There have been two people who said the blog didn't work. Maybe there are permission or redirect problems. I will go over it again tomorrow.
I would also like to say, Rob and Eric are awesome. It seems, to my great surprise, only guys have posted on the blog. I know there aren't many girls in ESO, but they should get on posting.

How sweet was it to have a unanimous(besides a few abstainers)vote on the Green Fee. I couldn't make the last 2 meetings because of ASB obligations but next week I'll be back and better than ever. State of the Blog

Considering I received promises from several people that they would post on the blog earlier this week, and they have not yet done so, I am going to use this opportunity to take up space in the hopes that someone will want to post something better.
First, I ran into Kelsey earlier and forgot to wish her a happy birthday until after she had walked away. I apologize. Happy Birthday Kelsey! And, happy valentine's day to everyone else.
Second, check out the Freep today. Not only are Mackie and I in it, but it's a picture about ESO's Valentine's day tables. And, I must say, we both look fabulous.
Last, have a good three day weekend, and spend at least some of it thinking about the environment.
