Summer Salsa Classes

SalsAmigos is excited to offer a summer program geared toward performance!!
Dance twice a week and work on style and technique. Plenty of opportunities to perform, and just get your groove on with some great salsa dancing!

Tuesdays & Fridays June 10^th – August 8^th, 2008
$100 for the summer
Classes will be held at September School in Boulder, 19^th & Canyon
End of Summer Performance Saturday, August 9^th
Invite friends and family to check out your style and sass at this end of summer Rueda de Casino salsa performance.

Group 1 3:00 - 4:30 pm (Fridays, 30 min of rehearsal with the Salseritas performance group)
Experience Required. Need to have completed at least one SalsAmigos rueda de casino session to participate. Expect emphasis on style and uniformity in the circle, will work on retaining moves and choreography. After this summer – you will be eligible to join the Salseritas (salseritos if we get some guys!!!) performance group. This group will be fun and fast paced. Get ready to shake it, and really salsa like a super star!!!

Group 2 1:30 – 3:00 pm
No Experience Needed – Get an introduction to the Rueda de Casino salsa circle. Work to performance level – focus on uniformity in dance style in the group. Learn moves in lead and follow positions. This class will move fast and be tons of fun. Be prepared for a challenge that will get you moving this summer!!!

sponsored & organized by YOAB

The party will be at Core Movement
1844 55th St. in Boulder
from 8 - 11 pm $3

The SalsAmigos will perform at 8:45 pm, so come if you want to perform - wear any combo of Red, White and Black - and stay on for the party and have some fun!

September Sessions 07

SalsAmigos fall dance sessions have come to an end. I would like to say that all the students involved did a WONDERFUL job and have learned TONS!

Our next session starts next week November 5th & 6th at both Boulder High School and New Vista High School!

I want to add some photos here of last sessions kids - Ya'll look great!

Please tell your friends about SalsAmigos - we want to grow up this challenging and fantastic teen program!

SalsAmigos is a Teen salsa dance program in Boulder, Colorado.

The SalsAmigo community consistes of a wide variety of teen salsa dancers who have learned a Cuban style of salsa called Rueda de Casino.

I would like to invite anyone to share their experiences, dance moves or thoughts on SalsAmigos, salsa dance, Rueda de Casino, the SalsAmigos dance parties, performances or anything related to our program here in this blog.
