Healing modalities and Tantric Sexual Energy Massage

At Shakti Gardens we offer a wide range of services, so if you are seeking straightfoward traditional healing modalities - such as Swedish Massage, Indian head & Shoulder Massage - as opposed to Tantric healing, then please contact us. I do respect different cultures and religions, as well as respecting your comfort levels. I never demand that female clients be nude for massage, nor do I present my work in the nude. However, in certain circumstances I have done Tantric meditations with others partially disrobed. Some might feel more comfortable partially covered with towels. This will be no problem at all as your comfort is of paramount importance to me.

With the full body massages I offer, I always incorporate Hot Stone Therapy, as well as Chakra Balancing for more complete healing and wellbeing. If you prefer only to have a back massage, or back and leg massage, this can be offered. I am flexible on what can be offered or presented, as well as to what times I work - your wellbeing is important, and thus I will make myself available to you weekdays or nights, as well as weekends.

For those women who feel that modern day stress is negatively affecting their lives, and need to restore their sexual energies and libido, I do offer Tantric Sexual Energy massage treatments. This is wonderful gentle nurturing of the sexual energies and meridians also creates an awereness within yourself of your own desires and libido, it also helps you re-connect with emotions and helps shed old repressive teachings. For some it is very liberating, and it also helps deal with past hurts. The treatment can last as long as 2 hours.

Group Massage Playshop, Puja Dance and Celebration

I would like ideas and feedback with regards to workshops at Shakti Gardens. If there is anything in particular you would like us to present/host/teach, please let us know. We want others to be involved in every possible manner, whether they get involved physically, actively assisting, or by mailing suggestions, it will be all good - we need to network and assist one another.

I have been playing around with the idea of a Massage Playshop - as opposed to a Workshop (OK, I saw this title on another site). This is for those who are open to being massaged by others, and to make this part of their Tantra Experience. This evening event is for open minded individuals who are not afraid to express their sexuality and enjoy their bodies and the bodies of others in a group environment. We will work on the floor, in close proximity to each other. You may move from one participant to another during this exercise.

Another idea is to have a Puja (celebration) - in this Puja we will have a light meal which we share with others, feeeding each other, and then once we have celebrated in this small feast, we want to move on and celebrate the senses by first meditating and raising energies, then doing dance meditation and some trance dance. We want people to shed old conformist ideas, to embrace a new awakening of mind, body and spirit, to embrace the beauty of the body, it's senses, it's gifts. And thus as the dance becomes more intense, if some wish to shed outer garmends, they may do so and participate Skyclad!

We will be hosting another of our on-going series of talks on Tantra at Shakti Gardens on Saturday 11th July. Once again we will be honored to have Swami Rahasya (of the Advait tantra School) bless us with his presence - and he will share different aspects of Tantra with us once more. Last month we had a good turn-out, many new faces and had a wonderful evening discussing various aspects of Tantra, sexuality and relationships. We are blessed to have someone like Swami Rahasya honor us with his presence.

First Annual African Conference & Gathering for Sacred Sexuality Healers, Teachers & Practitioners - Johannesburg, South Africa - this South African Tour and 3 day Conference on Sacred Sexuality will be happening in November, 27-29! The conference will be hosted by members of Sedona Temple and the International School of Temple Arts (Arizona) together with members of the Advait Tantra School (JHB) and members of Shakti Gardens. Having recently completed a tour of Australia, teachers of the Sedona Temple will be visiting South Africa. We will keep you informed with more details as we make progress with our planning. The Johannesburg conference will take place at the Delta Environmental Park.

I have been spending time with Dakini Sh'kina Moondancer, we have been discussing the possibility of hosting other workshops at Shakti Gardens - some of these workshops will be for women only, some will include Walking the Medicine Wheel! We have some interesting news to announce shortly, especially for Spring!

Sensual Healing Massages

At Shakti Gardens we offer a very specific range of services, healing modalities, discussion groups and workshops. Our work consists of therapeutic massages, as well as sensual healing massages in which we raise or heal the libido. This is a gentle form of sensual healing, done with the utmost respect and dignity. We DO NOT offer any form of sexual massage, we DO NOT offer "pelvic release" or as some refer to it as "happy endings"!

Recently we have had a number of disrespectful enquiries such as "how many ladies" we have, also "what ages are they" and "are they pretty"/"do they have nice breasts"! Some people have demanded that the therapist be naked while massaging, so that they can fondle the "pretty lady"!

I think I need to clear up something here. First of all, if your intention is to find a "pretty lady", and also if your intention is to have a naked therapist that you can touch and fondle, then unfortunately you have the wrong venue. I would then suggest you purchase a copy of "Sex Trader" or get "The Star" newspaper and look at the Classified section.

The people that work with me and for me are professionally trained, there work is impeccable and beyond reproach. If someone has been trained to work in a specific manner - such as wearing a robe, or perhaps work with a massage table as opposed to working on the floor, please respect that. Do not try to change them. This is not a venue for cheap thrills, this is not a "massage parlour", but a place of healing and transformation. What we do is Sacred, we work deeply with the mind, body and spirit. Yes the client is often nude when we work with them, and the reason for this is that they are receiving full body healing massage. Cleanliness and hygiene are also very important elements when doing and receiving this work. I can personally vouch for the staff here with regards to cleanliness and hygiene, and we expect the same from our clients.

If you cannot respect our staff and treat them with dignity, then there is something very wrong. Also when it comes to their age, it does not matter if the therapist is 44 or 24, it is the quality of work that matters. We are here to facilitate healing, to de-stress and facilate a shift of energies.

We are now seeing a new growth at Shakti Gardens, it is beginning to evolve, a new dynamic is happening. I am currently training a new therapist, and someone else has approached us to offer her services from our premises (Reiki, Financial Counselling). We also have Lila with us from Cape Town, every couple of weeks, who offers a specific Tantric healing (www.lila-tantra.co.za). As usual we have Sherry who still does the most amazing healing, her work is incredible, she is caring and focussed (www.taoistmassage.co.za)

Soon we will be introducing teachers who will facilitate various workshops from time to time in our Tantra Lounge.

I certainly hope this clears up any confusion with regards to our work - we respect our clients, we regard many of them as our friends. We recognise the God & Goddess within them, we help them release their repressed inner emotions, we help then re-connect with their lost desires and sexual energies. We were recently blessed to have Lila (Cape Town) with us, using our facilities to do Tantric Healing and also assisting us with our recent workshop.

I would like to clear up some minor confusion - although we welcomed Lila to work with us, and to network with us, I would like to make it clear that Sherry has been, and is still working at Shakti Gardens - she offers her unique blend of Reiki and Taoist Sexual Energy Massage. Sherry also assists me with with couples who need a male and female therapist.

One of the aims of Shakti Gardens is to network with other healers, to make our facilites available for healing and teaching (workshops & discussion groups)! We also have a vision that some day Sacred Sexuality Workers (Dakas, Dakinis & Tantrikas) will unite and form a united body, to help one another, to network and to refer others for healing.

I need to clear up some confusion regarding Lila's visit. We are blessed to have Lila with us again for 2 weeks in May - she will be doing healing, as well as a 2 day workshop.

This does not mean that Sherry will not be available, or myself - it will be business as usual. I do have an additional room that we use for yoga, art etc, and if necessary, this can be used for healing. We at Shakti Gardens work very closely with members of the Advait Tantra School. That is why I am placing this plea for help to assist Shima in her quest to raise much needed funds to get her to the USA for a Conference at the Sedona Temple in Arizona. Members of the Sedona Temple will be visiting South Africa end of November to host a 3 day Sacred Sexuality Conference, and it is good to be networking with others in this magical landscape of tantra and healing.

Sacred Sexual Awakening - Couples Group Event

Recently I have had a number of requests to set up an evening session for couples - this will be a Couples Group Event. We will only cater for a small group of people, maybe 3 or 4 couples who wish to explore Sacred Sexuality and various Tantric practices such as raising sexual energy through breathwork, meditations and actual bodywork.

Please be aware that there might be nudity involved during the course of the evening.

This will be an evening in which boundaries will be stripped down, old conformist teachings thrown out, and together we will embrace a new found freedom in which we can explore our gifts of sexuality and sensuality with dignity and respect. To be in close harmony with others of similar mind, and to connect with the spiritual, physical and esoteric within the boundaries of a loving circle.

Once again we have been getting requests from certain members of the public wanting "pelvic release" or "sexual massage" - please note that this type of service is not offered by members of Shakti Gardens!

We have never, and will never offer any form of sexual services, nor will we negotiate with anyone for any sexual services. This is not an escort agency, nor a strip club, nor is it a sleazy "massage parlour". It is a place of healing, teaching and enlightenment.

Our work focusses on healing, restoring energies, and allowing for a new renewed balance in mind, body and spirit. Once this is achieved, only then do we focus on the Meridians, Chakras and energies, getting clients to focus on the energy shifts within their own body, and make them aware of renewed and heightened sexual energies. Yes, some of the work can be sensual, but not sexual.

If it is "pelvic" or "sexual" massage you need, then please feel free to pick up a copy of Sex Trader or even The Star Classifieds, you might just find what you are looking for.

We want people to develop a healthy attitude towards their sexuality and sensuality. To be respectful and dignified. To be aware that what they have are Divine gifts and must be treated with the respect it deserves, giving thanks and to be appreciative. We are here to enlighten, teach and heal.

Another request that we have had but will not honor - is for us to be naked for the client and for the client to "fondle" us. You might have noticed some subtle updates on the website recently.

I have now included Sherry's details and will be updating again soon with Natasja and Bianca.

Sherry has been working with me now for a while and does the most awesome Toaist Massage and Reiki.
Natasja has recently joined us and will be offering Holistic, Swedish, and Tantric Massage as well as Reiki.
Bianca will be offering similar healing modalities, Crystal Massage & Healing, Reiki, Tantric Massage.

We want to offer a comprehensive variety of healing and practitioners.

Now for the bad news, the economy has affected all and sundry, and we have not been fortunate enough to escape this. We have been trying to absorb costs as much as possible and our prices have remained stable for a very long period. From April we will be putting prices up slightly, I can assure you that I have done a thorough comparison with others and our prices will still be competitive and lower than many other healers. Sherry has already implemented a subtle price increase and ours will follow suit in April.

Sacred Sex Workers Conference

It seems as if we are living in exciting times - no not the elections, or any other drama that affects our lives - I am talking about a wonderful conference that will happen later this year!

Recently members of the Advait Tantra School, Shakti from Cape Town and myself from Shakti Gardens have been corresponding and talking with Baba Dez Nichols from the Sedona Temple in Arizona. Baba Dez has just completed a succesfull tour of Australia and is keen to visit South Africa. He plans to spend time here hosting talks as well as setting up a conference for Sacred Sex Workers and for followers of the Tantric path. Baba Dez will not be coming alone, he is planning to bring along other Tantra healers/teachers with him.

This will create a new awareness of Tantra in SA! I believe it will also create new working relationship with local Sacred Sex Workers, as well as create deeper enlightment for those following this path.

We shall keep you informed with regards to finalization of dates and venues. A basic agenda for this tour includes seperate workshops for men and women, as well as co-ed workshops.

Swami Rahasya from the Advait Tantra School and myself will be hosting an evening Tantra Discussion Group at Shakti Gardens. This, I hope will be the first of many to come.

We are also planning a series of Tantra Workshops - these dates will be finalised quite soon.

Advait Tantra School - Workshop

Workshop - hosted by Dakini Shima & Dakini Wendy

As part of the programme of the Academy of Magick, an introductory Tantra weekend will be presented at the end of April. During the course of the weekend you will learn about various elements of Tantra and Tantric Practice. This will include practice that heightens your awareness during sex and therefore your pleasure. We will also show how this heightened awareness can be part of Sex Magick and Manifestation.

Part of this learning will include some practice that will reveal how you block and prevent your own energy, which hinders your bliss and your capacity to manifest your will into the world.

The weekend is therefore in 3 parts:
General Tantra Practice
Practice that will reveal how you block your own energy
Bringing these together in the expression of Sex Magick

The workshop will be facilitated by 2 teachers of the Advait Tantra School, Dakini Wendy and Dakini Shima

Both of these teachers are hightly trained in the Art of Tantra and have spent many years teaching and facilitating the growth path for seekers.

Shakti Gardens also welcomes male clients

Originally Shakti Gardens was created as a sanctuary where women and couples could receive healing and teaching in a safe secure environment. Recently we have been receiving more and more calls from men wishing to receive the same. Since Sherry has joined us, we have not turned away male clients and have tried to accomodate them as well.

We want to assure everyone that all are welcome, we respect all ethnic and religious groups. We want to bring you the best in alternative healing, and thus will be bringing in additional therapists, each with their own unique way of healing and treating clients. We will be able to offer other modalities such as Reiki etc.

I shall keep you informed via the Blog page ("Whats New" on the navigation bar of the website) and will be updating our website over the next few days with info on our new female therapists and to create an awareness for our male clients(current and future)that they are also welcome.

Our Tantra Workshops/Discussion Groups will be open to all, except where there is a particular theme of teaching that will either focus on the male or female energies. Our Yoga and Art Workshops are currently up and running for 2009, please let me know if you wish to be placed on a mailing list to receive newsletters for these events
