font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-size-adjust: none; font-stretch: normal;"> Deepens the fossa (cavity) where the humerus (upper arm bone) meets the scapula (shoulder blade) to increase contact space for better joint movement.

2)<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman"; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-size-adjust: none; font-stretch: normal;"> Serves as a vacuum seal for the shoulder joint, meaning that it allows the rotator cuff to rest while helping to maintain upright posture.

The biceps tendon, contrary to the sound of it, has very little sensitivity with normal ‘bicep-type’ activities, such as bicep curls, hammer curls, reverse curls, etc. Conversely, the biceps tendon is most aggravated while lifting your arm straight out in front of you with your palm facing up, or during ‘wind up’ motions, as in baseball pitching.

Curt Schilling has demonstrated on many occasions that he has hyperflexibility in the shoulder girdle, allowing him to wind up and pitch the ball much faster. Unfortunately, with speed comes a tough price to pay. When too much pulling of the biceps tendon takes place through rapid movement from the ‘cocking’ phase of a baseball pitch to the ‘follow through,’ it is possible that the biceps tendon will pull forcefully upward on the labrum, to which it is adhered. Under maximal loads and/or repetitive trauma, this many times results in SLAP lesions, as is discussed above.

In order to improve the stability of your shoulder complex and decrease the risk of needing surgery, it is important to work on shoulder blade stability first. In order to do so effectively, I recommend two exercises in particular:

1)<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman"; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-size-adjust: none; font-stretch: normal;"> Plank with theraband hold – push-up like position, on your forearms and elbows with a theraband wrapped around your wrists. Stretch the theraband until your arms are shoulder width apart, raise your knees off of the ground, squeeze your shoulder blades together, and hold for 30-60 seconds. Repeat 3x every day, especially if you are baseball pitcher.

2)<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman"; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-size-adjust: none; font-stretch: normal;"> Crossed extension – on all 4’s, raise opposite arm and leg into the air while maintaining a ‘neutral spine’ position, or straight back. Avoid any twisting and turning movements as much as possible for the best result. Alternate between right arm with left leg and left arm with right leg until you have done ten repetitions with each side. Repeat for three sets or until fatigue. Pay special attention to the arm that stabilizes you against the ground. Be sure to keep your shoulder blades back and squeezed together to prevent abnormal movement while you are bearing weight on your arm.

With these simple two additions listed above, you can markedly increase the stability of your shoulder complex with very little effort. Who knows? This may help you avoid surgery one day!

For even more great and FREE information related to preventing shoulder injuries, please download your FREE report at: http://ShoulderInjuryGuide.com

http://BackInjuryGuide.comhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10877603557493559747noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6847234722216339462.post-54696978200733086012008-02-07T07:02:00.000-08:002008-02-07T07:06:41.366-08:00Shaquille O'Neal’s hip injury and how you can avoid oneHello everyone,

I thought that you might enjoy reading this article that I just published. Here you go:

<span style="font-size: 9pt; font-family: "Arial","sans-serif";" lang="EN">Shaquille O’Neal is currently suffering through an injury to his left hip and quadriceps, after causing further aggravation to it during the Miami Heat’s game against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Despite the fact that Shaquille O’Neal had been diagnosed with inflammation to his left hip and quadriceps tendon previously, competition got the best of him as he attempted to withstand the pain and continue to play.

<span style="font-size: 9pt; font-family: "Arial","sans-serif";" lang="EN">

<span style="font-size: 9pt; font-family: "Arial","sans-serif";" lang="EN">After only a few minutes of play, it was obvious that Shaquille O’Neal had hurt himself. MRI reports from the following day’s examination confirmed his diagnosis of acute inflammation to the left hip. Doctors are suggesting that Shaq rest for the next 6 games, or 2 weeks, until the inflammation has had a chance to subside. Doctors, teammates, and head coach, Pat Riley all suggest that Shaq has tried many rehabilitative means of strengthening his hip to offer him the best chance for return to play. Unfortunately, only passive rest is being suggested at this point.

<span style="font-size: 9pt; font-family: "Arial","sans-serif";" lang="EN">

<span style="font-size: 9pt; font-family: "Arial","sans-serif";" lang="EN">Hip flexor and quadriceps tendon inflammation are not uncommon diagnoses. Unfortunately, as a product of intense play and improper training techniques, we are all at risk for this type of injury. Many people simply decide to ‘self-treat’ through ‘cutting back’ while never giving their bodies a true chance to heal. Did you know that your body desires to heal in a particular order?

<span style="font-size: 9pt; font-family: "Arial","sans-serif";" lang="EN">

<span style="font-size: 9pt; font-family: "Arial","sans-serif";" lang="EN">Before strengthening an injured joint, it is more important to displace all stressors to another area of the body through strengthening surrounding, uninvolved structures. There is a high probability that Shaquille O’Neal lacks flexibility in his hip internal and external rotators, the muscles that allow you to turn your toes in and out. As a result, extra stress will be placed into other areas, including the quadriceps, hip, and lower spine. With a lack of flexibility in the hip, the majority of stress placed on the body during normal activities, like walking, goes through the lower spine. Naturally, you can imagine the number of times your spine would be withstanding injury throughout the day, let alone during an intense bout of basketball. Mr. O’Neal may not know it, but forced rest may be the savior to his back, which could be a much larger problem.

<span style="font-size: 9pt; font-family: "Arial","sans-serif";" lang="EN">

<span style="font-size: 9pt; font-family: "Arial","sans-serif";" lang="EN">In order to avoid this type of injury and restore your body’s natural movement patterns, it is wise to engage in a full body exercise program, with particular emphasis on low back strengthening and lower body flexibility. Most people, especially men, have very tight internal and external rotators of the hips. It is imperative that we strengthen the muscles of the low back while improving hip flexibility to improve force attenuation through our spines. Through a proper strengthening and stretching program, most of these injuries can be avoided before they occur.

Wishing you all the best,

Dr. K
http://PostureForChristmas.com

http://BackInjuryGuide.comhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10877603557493559747noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6847234722216339462.post-57143076667162997752008-01-24T15:52:00.000-08:002008-01-24T15:54:00.988-08:00Is it really Magic?Hey guys and gals,

I don't know how many of you have participated in the "Magic 100" program, but this thing is amazing! (thanks, Dax... you've made a bigger difference in my life in the last 60 days than most people have in a lifetime!)

Is it really magic, per say? I don't think so, and neither does he.... you see, Dax discusses how your RAS (reticular activating system) responds to repeated messages that stimulate an automatic thought process, similar to our bodies knowing that they need to breathe, regulate temperature, hormones, etc. By teaching your mind to address goals in a systematic and automatic way, you are essentially taking out most of the 'hard brain work' that would be involved.

Well, I gotta tell you... for someone who works with people setting goals on a daily basis (btw. both physical therapy and personal training), I thought that I knew it all (sound familiar?). Damn! Once again, the more I learn, the less I know... I hate it when that happens.

Just to give everyone an idea if you don't already know, this program entails 100 goals in 100 days (some big, some small, some huge). So far, in 60 days, I've accomplished 56 of my 100 goals... not bad, huh?!

I've listed a couple of my favorite accomplishments below, just so you can get an idea what I'm talking about:

- Decreased bodyfat from 13% to 8.9% (in 35 days)
- Began calling my brother for at least 30 minutes 2x/week (before this, I kept telling myself I was too busy with my new practice)
- I now bring on 1-2 new clients/patients every week, which has allowed me to hire 2 new employees since the start of this program - about to hire a 3rd.
- Written 4 e-books + about 7-8 bonuses (with the help of the greatest mentor in the world... Thank you, Susan! - I'm really lucky that you've taken time away from your day to help me)
- Re-achieved fluency in Spanish
- Become certified as a CSCS
- Gone to Florida, North Carolina, New York (twice), and made travel arrangements for San Diego, Seattle, and Australia.
- Started hugging my wife, Karen, 10x every single day (more benefit to our relationship than I ever thought possible, just from this one simple act of love.)
- Decreased coffee to 1 cup/day (was about 10 cups/day)
- Helped 3 friends get into the best shape of their lives
- Read 8 books (goal is 10 in 100 days) - I hadn't read a book in months.

So, needless to say, if I can do it, so can you. Look out, b/c I'm coming up with a whole lot more in the 40 days to follow... what good would all of this effort be without a Grand Finale anyway?!

I really recommend that you give this program a look, or renew if you haven't done it in awhile. Even if not, I just thought that this thread might start a trend of positive thinking and sharing of goals. Somehow, once you've made it knowledge for more people than just you, it gives you a responsibility to follow through.

Please, anyone who wants to add some thoughts/motivation to this thread, I'd love hear from you. Maybe we can help each other reach our most difficult goals faster. For example, I'd love help getting nationally publicized 3x before my 100 days are over. Anybody?

Wishing you all the best,

Kareem
http://www.theMagicOneHundred.com

http://BackInjuryGuide.comhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10877603557493559747noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6847234722216339462.post-5025949104711928422008-01-14T10:38:00.000-08:002008-01-14T10:43:31.218-08:0041 lbs. of Muscle in 6 Months?
The way I see it, it's my job not only to offer you high quality information and products that can change your life and improve your health, but to review and endorse similar quality products on the marketplace. Well, I've had the pleasure of reviewing a product that takes the cake when considering 'muscle building' as your goal. It's created by my good friend, Vince Delmonte. While down in Palm Beach, FL for a conference this November, I was able to sit and speak with Vince for quite some time. This guy is both passionate and intelligent. In fact, he's so dedicated to the success of his clients that he's put together a very special package to help people get started with their New Year's resolutions.

I know that subject line may sound impossible... and to skinny guys or gals it may sound like a dream that requires drugs...

New Years is typically the time of year that everyone goes crazy

about losing fat but I also know their A LOT of you who would benefit from gaining *lean muscle mass*! I've been hearing about this guy, Dax Moy, for a long time now. He's the founder of http://www.themagiconehundred.com and he is fantastic! Through the guidance of this program, I've set myself up with 100 goals in 100 days, balanced between education, career, family, health, adventure, and daily maintenance. You see, in order to be happy in any of these respects, you need a balance. This program teaches you how to quickly and easily achieve this balance. In one week my stress level has gone way down, I've become more productive at work than ever before, and I've begun feeling intrinsically good in a way I hadn't in quite some time. I'm not saying that I wasn't happy and feeling successful before this week, but I am telling you that something has changed, for the better, and in a BIG way.

It's easy to be skeptical. It's easy to say this stuff doesn't work. It's not easy to work hard each and every day to make sure your goals are achieved... but it's a heck of a lot easier when you have guidance. Give it a try... come join me on my adventure:

http://www.themagiconehundred.com

As my friend, Dax Moy, would say: Peace, Love, and Joy,

Dr. K

http://BackInjuryGuide.comhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10877603557493559747noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6847234722216339462.post-11912412349441609142007-11-18T17:13:00.000-08:002007-11-18T17:45:43.154-08:00From Palm Beach, FL to the snow...Hello everybody,

What a weekend! I'm sitting in the Ft. Lauderdale airport right now, having just left Palm Beach, FL. After a fun filled and incredibly busy weekend spent with my favorite mentors, I am beat. Do you know that between our Grand Opening and this weekend, my wife and I have managed to work 7 days a week for the last 28 weeks straight?!

That's right....28 weeks! Why? Because we love what we do. Because we are absolutely committed to becoming successful. Because we care about you. If we don't learn everything there is to know about succeeding both online and offline in the nutrition, fitness, and physical therapy business, then we are not helping you the way we know that we can. You see, it's a equilateral triangle - 3 equal parts: nutrition, fitness, and physical therapy (How can you become fit without moving correctly? That's the beauty of including a physical therapist in your health plan.)

Imagine this, next time you decide to take one of my recommendations for a fitness program:

I constantly surround myself with the best of the best when it comes to personal training and physical therapy. I seek out the help of only the top names when I have questions. That is why you can trust me. That is why I am confident when I tell you that my programs work.

I know what others are doing. I know what they are thinking. I review nutrition products, physical therapy, and fitness programs from all over the world and I can tell you with confidence that my recommendations count. Please don't take this the wrong way. I'm not trying to be cocky. I'm being factual. If you decide to listen to me, you'll be happy. I guarantee it.

How many others are willing to put their money where their mouths are? Satisfaction or your money back. Guaranteed.

Help your immune system. Increase the blood flow to your heart, muscles, ligaments, and other tissues. Why?

Because I'm busy here in a conference, networking with some of the world's top fitness professionals. (Craig Ballentyne, Jim Labadie, Susan Hill, Ryan Lee, Nick Berry, Pat Rigsby, Holly Rigsby, Mike Geary, Vince Delmonte, Barry Lovelace....just to name a few!) This experience has been amazing!

First of all, it's obvious what sets these individuals apart from all the rest: They are extremely motivated! And I don't mean just motivated. These people cannot stop thinking of great ideas, incredible training methods, ways to advance their businesses...the list goes on.

So, what's the lesson? How do you think that they got fit enough in the first place to become fitness professionals? Because they are motivated. Because they will not take no for an answer. Because they care about their health, and they are able to care about their businesses at the same time.

Just do it. They all say the same thing. Just do it. Get out there, and make your dreams reality.

You can do the same. Go to the gym. Exercise. Eat right. Feel better. Get rid of the pain you don't want to have anymore. Find a way to climb the stairs without getting out of breathe. Look better naked. Become more flexible. Stand tall and proud.

You can do it also.

Signing off,

Dr. Kareem

http://GlobalFitnessLLC.com

P.S. I am about to release some incredible information related to decreasing pain through exercise. Stay tuned if you are serious about your health.

PPS. Some people say that you burn more calories when doing cardio.... others say that you burn less. In point of fact, you are more likely to have increased calorie expenditure while on an elliptical, treadmill, etc., but you will burn less calories at the end of the day.

What does this mean? This means that your body is performing an endurance activity, demanding increased heart rate, blood flow, etc. This will, by definition, cause calories to be burned.

With resistance training on the other hand (lifting weights), you will be resting more often, having peaks of heart rate, and less of an overall circulatory response. This will, however, help you increase strength. By taking your muscles to points of maximal exertion (whether 4 reps or 12 reps), you are initiating a repair process.

This repair process is a result of the tiny, little muscle tears that are taking place while lifting weights. It's smart to think of this as soreness. Soreness really is just a combination of miniature muscle tears (harmless) and lactic acid build-up.

These muscle tears require increased metabolism (oxygen uptake) in order to repair themselves. This means that your body is forced to constantly feed this muscle in order for it to feel better. Well, knowing that soreness lasts for 24-72 hours, it seems sensible to suggest that this process goes on for a similar time frame.

So am I burning fat for 24-72 hours following a workout with resistance training? Yes! ...but you have to eat the right foods in order to do this. Your muscles require protein to grow. Your body requires carbohydrates for quicks stores of energy. That's why I follow every workout with Prograde's Varsity (soon to be called Workout) shake. It's the best combination of protein and carbs around, with zero fat content. This way, you're not taking in unnecessary calories.

But here's the key: If you don't start taking in the right calories within 60 minutes of your workout (and really 30 is better), then you're slowing down your metabolism. Your body reacts as though you were off to hibernate. It slows down all processes, your energy falls, and your muscles are less adept to deal with these new stressors.

Click here to start taking the Prograde shake that will revolutionize your workouts:

http://GlobalFitnessLLC.GetPrograde.com

Wishing you all the best,

Dr. Kareem

http://GlobalFitnessLLC.com

http://BackInjuryGuide.comhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10877603557493559747noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6847234722216339462.post-28014593697441389852007-10-11T19:24:00.000-07:002007-10-11T19:35:01.806-07:00Happy Birthday Jameal!Yesterday was my brother's 29th birthday! Wooohoooo! All of my love to you, brother. May this year be the best one yet...

And yesterday was special for another reason: we finally received the keys to our brand new physical therapy and personal training facility. What an amazing feeling! Our own gym, our own rehab department, nutrition, massage, all sides covered. It's so nice to have a contribution like this to give to society. And how lucky my wife and I feel for having this opportunity.

You see, Karen, my wife, is a genius when it comes to marketing, graphic design, advertising, and public relations. I know what you're thinking...all those things? Yep! (ok, so I'm a bit biased, but she's an incredibly talented woman to say the least!) And people just love her... makes starting a business much easier when you've got a partner like her!

We have been buuuuusssssyyyy! Tied up at all sorts of networking meetings, offering introductory 40% off pre sale to the whole community, searching and meeting with future/potential staff members, and negotiating with insurance companies. It's a lot of work, but worth every second, tear, and bit of effort!

(oh, by the way, the 40% off presale event is almost over, but it applies to online training as well...Hurry up!)

Ok, time to wind down, but I'm so glad to share this with you. Keep checking because we're just getting started!

And, yes, really, you should definitely take me up on this once in a lifetime offer of 40% off online training. The truth is, one month of online training costs less than 1 session with me in the gym. And, to think, 40% off... c'mon, make your move. The parking lot was full of enthusiastic people, and there was a stillness full of energy in the air. It was cool and crisp, just like the northeast autumn days I remember from my childhood. Team GlobalFitnessLLC.com was ready to go!

We hopped on our bikes and started off on what was to be one of the greatest days of our lives. As we rode, mile after mile, we noticed fascinating and enthralling signs on the side of the road...signs that described the power of 8,000 riders earning $4.5 million for the research and treatment of MS, signs describing the appreciation of the victims of MS, and signs enumerating the number of locals who would benefit from our ride (11,000 locals to be exact.)

The feeling was magical! 10 miles, 20 miles, 30 miles - Rest stop! There were whole-wheat peanut-butter and jelly sandwiches, ants on a log (celery with peanut-butter and raisins on top), every energy bar imaginable to mankind (except for the best one ever: Cravers!), Gatorade as far as the eye could see, bicycle repair shops, and hundreds of volunteers.

The day was warming up....everyone in long sleeves has now gone down to a t-shirt/short-sleeved jersey. Rookie riders began to arrive as they meandered in on mountain bikes, beach cruisers, double, and triple riding bicycles. What a show!

As we exited the rest stop to continue our journey, we noticed that there were several amazing individuals, stricken with this terrible disease, lined side by side in their power wheelchairs... They were thanking us! Wow, what a feeling!

So we hit a new high! We charged on: 40 miles, 50 miles, 60 miles...whoops! There was someone on the ground with 20 people around and no one to help. They yelled, "Doctor, nurse, anyone..." I quickly got off my bike and went over to survey the scene.

"You! Call the paramedics," I yelled ... for the rider had already begun to go into a seizure. As he lay there, convulsing, throwing up on himself, no one was able to tell the story. He managed to fall without an eye on him. I noticed scrapes on his helmet and a small cut on his face...quickly poured water over his head to bring him to, and then began to speak to him. He was unable to see how many fingers I was holding up, and he had forgotten all of his English. It was going to be Spanish only from now on. ....the only kicker was that none of his friends could speak Spanish, so no one could tell how bad he was.

The paramedics arrived quickly on the scene (2-3 minutes)... I debriefed them, and was on my way. (say a small prayer for this courageous rider who gave it all for MS)

65, 70, 71 - boom! another rider down! ...thank goodness, despite a small amount of pain, she was fine. some bruising, but nothing major.

72, 73...only 2 miles to go... nope! 2 bridges to go, then 2 miles! holy ****! 73 miles in and now we have to climb the bridges... what a disaster!

But sure enough, our adrenaline took over and up we went, down, up, down, and we knew we had it! As we arrived at the finish line, people lined the street with cowbells, signs, posters, screams of joy, and a feeling of pride.

And all this, for a beautiful day on my bike.

I encourage everyone. There were children that were 8-9 years old doing the event. It's doable, and it's a great cause.

Thanks for sharing!

Wishing you all the best,

Kareem
P.S. It's very exciting to think of 8,000 riders motivated to help cure a disease that slowly paralyzes your body, decreasing your independence each year of your life. Not many people really know what MS does, but it stops nerve signaling from your spinal cord to your muscles....but the worst part, while people lose their abilities to move, they may still have violent cramping and shooting pain throughout the day. It's really horrible...

So, everyone, I want you to say a small prayer on Saturday morning, hoping for a cure for this horrid disease. Thanks!

Now, on to a more happy topic! To your left you will see Life Fitness's new Hammer Strength Vest, designed to allow your arms and legs to be free while you fight 3-dimensional resistance. It hooks up really nicely to the Dual Adjustable Pulley (also on the left). Imagine this:

- you now have a way to add resistance to your lunges
- Pull-ups: instead of a weight vest, you can now add whatever weight increment you want
- Resisted squats, but you can still do bicep curls and overhead presses at the same time

And that's just the beginning.... This is a small, but powerful feature of Global Fitness LLC - Physical Therapy and Personal Training. At our new facility, we're going to have state-of-the-art equipment, treadmills that have hook-ups for ipods so that you can watch movies on the high-definition LCD screens, and the Rolls Royce of treatment tables, so that every patient is comfortable. It's gonna be great!

Are you ready to start training with the best? Are you ready to have found someone who can teach you how to exercise away from that painful joint that's kept you away for so long? Or are you just looking to take your workouts to the next level?

Sign up here!

Wishing you all the best,

Kareem

http://BackInjuryGuide.comhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10877603557493559747noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6847234722216339462.post-79222491745223288392007-09-24T19:46:00.000-07:002007-09-24T20:15:44.058-07:00What a Day!Today was an exciting day! I had the opportunity to work with a couple of incredible athletes at the Princeton stadium. We worked on kicking and punting skills, while I analyzed their movements and offered suggestions on helpful positioning and postural cuing. By contracting certain postural muscles before each kick/punt, it would pre-set their muscles and joints for the strongest possible outcome.

This stuff works! This stuff really works! ...And it's good enough for the NFL. One of the players I mentioned is currently an NFL player and the other a free agent for the NFL. Now if these guys have something to learn about proper positioning and strengthening exercises, I believe everyone can benefit from professional fitness services.

The truth is, we can all benefit from postural strengthening. We sit at desks all day, folded over our computers, occasionally reminding ourselves to straighten our backs and put our shoulders back. But, what's really happening? We're slowly, but surely adjusting our permanent postures. Seriously, take a look in the mirror. When you look from the side, does your head or shoudlers stick forward? Now look at the next pro athlete you see on TV. Is his/her posture better than yours? ...and just think, they can benefit from strengthening and fixing of their postures. It really does take working out the right muscles, intentionally; you have to perform the correct exercises to counter act the slouching that you do all day at work.

Sign up here for online training. I found this amazing park, with a river along side, mountains in the distance, and a pinkish-orange sky surrounding all. The weather has begun to change, so the leaves are just now turning the most beautiful assortment of colors you've ever seen. Wow! What a ride.

Have I mentioned that Global Fitness LLC is doing the MS 150 Bike Race (to benefit multiple sclerosis)? It's coming up next weekend (the 29th and 30th.) We're going to ride from Philadelphia to Jersey Shore and back (75 miles each way), while being sponsored by two very special patients of mine who have MS. Of course, we will also be thinking of our friends' families who have been affected by this terrible disease.

So, back to biking...Here's what we've done to get ready for 150 mile bike race in 4 short weeks:
(keep in mind, you should always ask your doctor before getting involved with an exercise program for the first time in awhile.)

Buy a road bike

Start at 8-10 miles for the first 2-3 days, just to get used to your seat, the feel of your bike, the roads around you.

Ride the following schedule for the first 2 weeks: Monday: 20 miles, Tuesday: 15 miles, Wednesday: Rest, Thursday: 20 miles, Friday: 15 miles; Saturday or Sunday go for a 25-30 mile ride, just to put in some more distance.

Ride the following schedule for the 2nd 2 weeks: Monday: 18 miles, Tuesday: 25 miles, Wednesday: Rest, Thursday: 25 miles, Friday: 18 miles; Saturday: 15 miles nice and easy, Sunday of 3rd week: 35 miles; Sunday of 4th week: 45-50 miles

You should allow at least 2 or 3 days of 10-20 miles nice and easy before the race. Yes, this is a time commitment...but 150 miles is a serious event and you should be prepared. I've already gotten back so much feedback, I can really tell I was missed by my fans.

http://GlobalFitnessLLC.com

What a feeling! ...to help others, provide advice on how to become healthier, feel better, and live longer. Sometimes it's hard to believe that I've been blessed with a career like this one. Do you realize that every day that I go to work, albeit on the internet or in the gym, people sincerely thank me for my time?!

My time...and what is that worth, really? My time is worth my dedication to you, my friend. My time is worth the 7 years of collegiate and doctoral level's education that allowed me to be in a position to help you find the RIGHT answers!

I only hope that you can open yourself up to the possibility of accepting advice from someone who does nothing better:

http://GlobalFitnessLLC.com

Today, my wife and I met with the contractors of our new facility. It's coming along quickly! They say we should be ready to move in by mid-October at the latest....wooohoooo!

I'm excited....can you feel it?

Now, here's a clip from Sunday's football camp:

Wishing you all the best,

Kareem

PS Have you seen my latest video newsletter?:

http://GlobalFitnessLLC.com

http://BackInjuryGuide.comhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10877603557493559747noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6847234722216339462.post-59608328111745045412007-09-16T05:56:00.000-07:002007-09-16T06:06:23.925-07:00Good Morning NFL!I am very excited this morning! In fact, I'm minutes away from leaving my house to go and volunteer with http://precisionkickersandpunters.com. This is a local organization hosted by one of the best kicking/punting coaches in the whole world. He draws an audience of 60-70 athletes from elementary school all the way through the pro's to teach them the finer points of kicking/punting in football.

And he's invited me to come and assist. They want to know MY knowledge for a ballistic stretching program, a strength and conditioning program, and a sports specific form of training! Wow! What a feeling, to think that I've made it far enough to be helping NFL players design the optimal strengthening program for kickers!

I'll be taking a short video of the experience, so be sure to check back at: http://globalfitnessllc.com to see more.

Have a great day!

Kareem

P.S. Are you a fitness professional that's interested in boosting referrals while gaining an incredible amount of physical therapy-related knowledge? Check this out or be left behind:

http://physicaltherapyreferraltips.com

P.P.S. We're just getting warmed up here. The day has finally arrived...Karen (my wife) and I have finally found the perfect place to open up our very first Physical Therapy and Personal Training facility. We're going to call our company Global Fitness LLC, in part because we believe that we are offering a more 'global' approach to rehabilitation and wellness; the other part is because of our love to travel!

Just to catch you up, we actually met in Spain, while studying abroad 6 years ago. Since then, we have lived in Granada (Spain), State College (Pennsylvania, US), Miami (Florida, US), and now Yardley (Pennsylvania, US).

It's been a crazy couple of years... a ton of education and a ton of fun later, we have settled and are getting ready to open a business with an absolutely revolutionary concept in our area.

It only makes sense that once someone finally comes to physical therapy, they have had a myriad of aches/pains that "weren't worth seeing someone about." Well, for this reason, they are usually "breaking down" and need help beyond their existing condition. That's exactly why we want to offer more, the solution:

A team approach. State of-the-art equipment. Physical Therapists working with Fitness Professionals to design life-changing, top of-the-line rehabilitation and exercise programs.

Patients & clients will have 2 specialists working with them at all times...it's gonna be great!

I'm just so excited to be sharing all of this information! Right now, we just finished ordering all of the equipment and we're getting ready to close our final loan. Very exciting!

Wishing you all the best,

Kareem

P.S. Do you know anyone else who's ready to get started? http://physicaltherapyreferraltips.com

http://BackInjuryGuide.comhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10877603557493559747noreply@blogger.com0
