I may have mentioned that I love to shop. And now that I have two small children and a work at home job, my shopping time is generally limited to toy stores and whatever I can do online. Fortunately, shopping online just keeps getting better and better. One thing I try to look for - but which is harder to find online, where you can't read the labels - is American products. I just feel better that way. So I was pretty excited when I discovered AmericainXS, a website that specializes in unique American products.

Rope Lighting Is Cool

One outdoor decorating scheme I love to see is rope lighting. And while I do think that rope lights are great for Christmas lights, I think they look even cooler lighting up a backyard or lining a walkway. What does naked naturals sound like to you? I mean, what kind of product? A lot of interesting ideas fluttered through my mind as I opened the package. Since this blog is public and sometimes people even read it, I was hoping that I wouldn't have to review an adult product (not that I have anything against adult products. I quite like them. Paintball Gear

Do you know anyone who likes to play paintball? Maybe you even play paintball. Hubby tried to talk me into playing when we were first dating, but I have this fear of bruising. Otherwise it does look like a lot of fun. Hubby used to do this paintball re-enactment of World War II battles with tanks and everything. He used to be pretty hardcore. Then the children came and now he just looks at old pictures and cries. Just kidding. He doesn't look at the old pictures.

Anyway, someday he plans on playing again. But of course, he will need all new equipment. Maybe somespyder paintball packages? I think he really misses all that gear. PNTball.com, fortunately, has excellent prices.

I can't even remember how many profiles I have now.

I just got another one, because an old high school friend had me in her address book. I don't know why I keep doing this because I am notoriously bad at even replying to email, let alone keeping up with social network stuff.

(What? I used to go out a lot and sometimes it was fun to look different. Besides, my fake ones looked exactly like this:

They made me look all funky and urban. If I needed glasses I would totally buy these. Heck, I'm tempted to buy them anyway - surely I'll need glasses someday? Everyone else in my family has.

I just heard about a new place to promote blogs and earn credits and (possibly) money. It's called Qassia. The more snippets you write on it, the more promotion your blog(s) get. And that can lead to potential Google adsense dollars.

I'm not so sure about the adsense dollars. But I love the idea of more blog readers (no offense to you guys, I LOVE those of you who read my blog already, I just want to expand our family because I have so much love to give. . . oh wait, that's my let's have a third kid speech, damn, uh. . . how about the more, the merrier?). As a couple trying (rather haplessly) to improve our credit scores, Hubby and I have looked to Car Loans or to get a Personal Loan. We have looked at Loans, period. It's not that our scores our bad, exactly, it's more that they're not good enough to get us the best rates. And we need the best rates, should we ever hope to get a new car. So we've looked into consolidating our debt and all that, but generally we hear that we're not in enough debt to qualify for debt consolidation services. I guess we're in the middle class of credit, and much like the middle class of income, we get no benefits or breaks.

European Trains Are Better

I used to take the Amtrak train to college in Boston - it was so much easier and cheaper than flying. But you could actually drive there faster. And they were always over-booked (I once spent three hours in the vestibule, sitting on top of my suitcase and surrounded by SEVEN other people). Every time I would board the Amtrak, I would fantasize about European trains. Not only are they cleaner and more efficient, they also have more holiday spirit.
