That is the reason why I am doing this. I want to write something but I don't have any brilliant ideas and the stupid ones are too stupid, even for me. So here is the map of Amsterdam to show you where I work, where Michal works and where we live currently. Yeah I know, this is a stalker-feast :P but I don't have any stalker because I am in denial.

PS: We 'might' be moving closer to center and closer to work if we are. Me-ghal.I decided I want to give you a sneak preview of Michal, lol. Please ignore that gold rimmed glass, I hate it too, haha. I will make sure he changed it :D Soon, I hope.

Oh! The first pic is Museumplein (the building you see is Rijkmuseum). This my friends, is just across the street from my office :)

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp2.blogger.com/_u6UBiL2UVWg/SIh8hUrnRFI/AAAAAAAAAbA/GS07-qabpjo/s400/museumplein.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5226564279492625490" />
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp3.blogger.com/_u6UBiL2UVWg/SIh8hlJTkHI/AAAAAAAAAbI/jKUj5wxUl4U/s400/michalsneakpreview.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5226564283912130674" />
Faiez Idrushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14868155752047581482noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6685891.post-24869698916551705622008-07-24T13:22:00.005+02:002008-07-24T14:33:56.703+02:00It's Finally Summer in Amsterdam!After a week of gloom and despair, the sun shines again on the land of cheese, teehehe. Today is a super nice day. Cool wind and the sun is shining brightly in the clear blue sky! If it wasn't for the cool wind, I wouldn't like it as much as I do now.

Last weekend I cooked ayam masak lemak cili api. Yeehaw! It was very very very delicious of course, although it was a bit too spicy for Michal, haha. But he tried eating it anyways and loved it too much until his lips were numb from the chillies! Apparently the chillies here are very hot compared to Malaysia, I didn't expect it to be that hot either since I don't think I put as much chillies as I would back in Malaysia.

I am very happy Michal likes my cooking and I think he was honest (I hope). Oh, he also eats with his hands now everytime we eat rice, hehe. It was funny at first but he's learning pretty fast, at least now he doesn't look like he's throwing food inside his mouth, haha. More like putting it in clumsily :P It's pretty sweet that he wants learn it :) Things couldn't be better but of course I am anticipating some changes as we go on. A lot of things are nice early in a relationship, how everyone wish it'll remain the same forever, haha. No no no, stop calling me a pessimist, I am just being a realistic.

This weekend is forecasted to be nice, bright and sunny. So we've made some plans, going to the market and look for some fish and prawns (maybe). We might go to the park with Phoebe, lay on the grass, smoke a joint (or two) and get pervy with each other. That would be nice. Maybe on Sunday we will go to the beach, FYI I actually packed my bikini all the way from Malaysia and I have a terrible feeling that this Sunday would be the only time I'd be able to wear it here. It's nice to show off my lumps of fat sometimes... and nope, it's not those on my chest mind you. More like the one around my midriff. Ceh.

I wish I could update this blog as often as I want :( apart from busy at work, the internet connection at home is not that good either (since we are stealing from the neighbours and all). So, sorry for the long post, there's a lot of things I want to update, hehe.

Hmm... oh, Phoebe is growing up pretty fast! She's bigger and more well behaved, haha. At least now she didn't wake us up at 5am more like 7am, haha. She started to eat a lot which is good because I want her fat and chubby! I just ordered this duo food and water auto-feeder because we will be leaving her for 7 days when we go to Prague. I tried to look for a cat-sitter but can't find one so we will leave her at home with enough food and water and ask the other flatmate to check on her once a while. I think <del>we</del> I should leave her in Michal's room because it's bigger and cooler, teehehe.

OK. Enough babbling for today. Here is some pics of my ayam masak lemak cili api and Phoebe :) Maybe some pictures of me and Michal next week? :D

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp1.blogger.com/_u6UBiL2UVWg/SIh0V15ouCI/AAAAAAAAAaY/gu_mYAsm0gM/s400/phoebe1.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5226555286158358562" />
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp1.blogger.com/_u6UBiL2UVWg/SIh0V6YgoCI/AAAAAAAAAag/l_oEYmnQoNw/s400/phoebe2.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5226555287361593378" />
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp1.blogger.com/_u6UBiL2UVWg/SIh0Vz78tHI/AAAAAAAAAao/irMq7c8S3S8/s400/phoebe3.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5226555285631186034" />
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp1.blogger.com/_u6UBiL2UVWg/SIh0WAFzkeI/AAAAAAAAAaw/cp9ObJ5K4ak/s400/phoebe4.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5226555288893755874" />
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp3.blogger.com/_u6UBiL2UVWg/SIh0WNktdZI/AAAAAAAAAa4/7wjMT71qYuU/s400/masaklemakciliapi.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5226555292513039762" />
Faiez Idrushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14868155752047581482noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6685891.post-52680453871228443802008-07-18T17:58:00.000+02:002008-07-18T18:05:02.768+02:00Malay version of TGIF is TKTHIHJTerima Kasih Tuhan Hari Ini Hari Jumaat!
It's the weekend again, yippppppieeee!

Time flies when you're not bored (or alone) for that matter :) We have some plans coming up this weekend, IF the weather permits, which is highly likely not. It's going to be gloomy and rainy this weekend, so it says in the forecast. I guess instead of going out there is a chance that we will stay in, sleeping teehehe. It still amazes me how much my life is dependent on weather forecasting nowdays. Back home I couldn't care less if it's going to be super hot or raining cats and dogs because they are all the same in the end. Of course I don't even have to test' the temperature, to see which clothes I should be wearing today. Heh, amazing! (And yes, I am still jakun after nearly 2 months, thank you).

Phoebe will be bathed this weekend, tehehe. She is one dirty eyes little monster! She is so clingy and needy and wakes me up at 5am everyday. Nice isn't it? She woke Michal up too, which is a good thing because now I know how much patience he has (I hope that patience last, hahaha). But really, Phoebe is a sweetheart, despite the annoying meowing, catch-that-moving-thing personality and oh, the crazy eyes look. She sleeps with us on the bed, which is not a big bed at all. Her favourite spot is on top of our head, in between us, at the end of the bed or on us. Apparently, it looks like we are the one sleeping on her bed instead the other way around. I don't like sleeping in Michal's room because his bed sucks (also Phoebe will cry like crazy when she's alone and knows we are actually around, that will annoy the rest of the flatmates)... and Michal can't go back and sleep on his own bed because he likes me too much, muaahahahahhaha! (No I'm lying, I like to have him around sebab aku gatal, hahahaha).

Phoebe is so cute... sometimes. Teehehe. I am on my way to fatten her up! A fat fat fat Exotic Shorthair is just so adorable (also maybe if she is fatter, she would sleep more and leave us alone at 5am).

I'm going out for biertje tonight (the Dutch has an obsession with putting 'tje' , 'je' at the end of things) It's supposed to mean 'small' but I don't really know for sure, why is that. But whatever. As I am typing this, Michal is waiting for me patiently at the Museumplein, teehehe. Biarkan dia tunggu, selepas jualan murah, aku mesti jual mahal, kukuku.

Oklah (I miss that 'lah'!!!).
Have a great weekend and hey you in Malaysia! I miss you guys a lot :)Faiez Idrushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14868155752047581482noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6685891.post-45497622294053781522008-07-17T13:44:00.004+02:002008-07-18T09:21:53.064+02:00Ik ga naar Praag in Augustus!Went to Breda for a meeting yesterday and guess what? I am so glad I don't live there, haha. The scenery on the way there was nice though. Farms, corn fields, the traditional windmills and of course the black and white cows. Holland is so flat, the view is so fantastic. It was picture perfect yesterday, nice weather with white clouds. Very nice indeed.

Me and Michal (yes, that is the name of my Czech bf, muahahah, still can't believe I have a bf now, jakun!) decided that we should get a place of our own, which I agreed, altho almost everyone would say, hello, you're moving too fast. Yes, I know but even now we are living together, not to mention with another 2 strangers. Not that we don't have the privacy now, we actually have too much privacy, hahaha! The other 2 guys are always not around during normal hours so we (and the cat) always have the place to ourselves most of the times. It's just that, for the price we both pay for the rooms now, we can get a nice 1 bedroom apartment! We will have more privacy and we can invite friends over! :D

So, we might be moving in Sept, if we could find a nice affordable place, of course.

Things with Michal are going well which is expected since we just got together, haha. He'd been great actually although I can't be sure if it's because he is great or because we just got together and it is nice to woo me. I still can't decide on that, really. But I think I should just enjoy the now and deal with craps later, if there would be any. :)

For now, I am loving every minute of it! Teehehe. Happy. Happy.

Oh! We are going to Prague for a week next month! :D First we will go to his family weekend cottage at God knows where (3 hours train from Prague) and then we will spend the rest of the holiday in Prague. I am very excited about this trip (but also very nervous about meeting the family part *gulp*)! Czech Republic will be my second European country I will visit, hehe. Can't wait!!!!Faiez Idrushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14868155752047581482noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6685891.post-10720010146229330062008-07-15T09:26:00.006+02:002008-07-18T09:21:26.404+02:00Single No More?I can finally breathe!

Now I just have to wait for that residence card to arrive and I am done! Yippie! I finally managed to open a bank account and got my bank card yesterday. I got my health, travel, liability and personal insurance done too! So now I can start planning a lot of things :D Like... travelling for example, hehe.

Another news.

Remember that cute Czech flatmate? :D It's funny and inappropriate but... we are dating now, lol. I thought I will be out of touch with this dating thing after being single for...ever. But guess what? It's like cycling, you might not been doing it for 15 years but once you got into one, you realised that you actually never forget.

A friend asked me today, isn't it too early? Wouldn't I want to 'explore' a bit more? Well, I do think it's too early haha. I just got here for a lil bit over a month and I'm already dating someone! Not just any 'someone' mind you, my own flatmate, hahahaha! The thing is, it feels right. Maybe we are together for all the wrong reasons, who knows but whatever. It feels right to me and I think that's what matters. I don't know how this will end and I don't think about how it should end either. For now, I am quite content <del>having a nice warm body next to me at night.</del>

We went to the Artis Zoo last Sunday. Sort of our 1st official date. How can I not like this guy? Let's see if he can really make me very very very happy. Shall we?Faiez Idrushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14868155752047581482noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6685891.post-60260831476467782392008-07-07T21:39:00.005+02:002008-07-07T21:55:07.501+02:00My Cute Little Room and My Cute Lil Pussy...cat.Pictures updated!
Here is my room and my cat. I'm STILL alive.I know I know... I hadn't been updating. I just didn't get the time to do it and no internet at home either. Work is kinda hectic lately, me picking up the pieces, organizing crap and solving crap. It was fun though, it gets me take of my mind of things :) Oh, I was also busy trying to find a place to stay in July. I was supposed to get this place from a friend of a friend, because the guy is moving out to a bigger and better place but at the last minute, he didn't get the house. When he can't move out, obviously I can't move in either! I was panicking and stressing out because I had only 5 working days left to close any new housing deal and that was likely impossible here.

Sooooo, I spent a pretty sum of money shopping instead. Hehe. It was such a great therapy.

So on that Monday, I started shooting tonnes of emails to tonnes of adverts, calling the agents etc. I was pretty desperate and I thought my best shot would be flat sharing and since I spent a fortune over the weekend (hehe), I could use some saving with flat sharing. I could also use some company and human interaction while I'm at it. And then, there it was... a reply from a guy asking me to come and view the available room. So there I went.

Well, I was bit sceptical at first... you know, he could be a scammer, or the house is filthy unlike the pictures he'd shown in his advert... or he's just plain sex maniac or something. But I was desperate and if I didn't get a place in time, I would have to stay with a girlfriend of mine, in a big beautiful house with a garden next to a small river. Yeah I know you guys would think why the hell did I went looking for another place! But the thing is, as much as I actually like the her house, it was 45 mins journey by train with total of 1 hour to get my arse to work. Oh, she also has a dog. I have nothing against dog, I can even live with a dog... even thinking of getting one cute one... but her dog is this black scary looking dog and I am fcking scared of dogs like that!

Although the dog (Shinto is his name) proved me wrong, hehe. He's actually a sweet angry looking fella, with huge balls and dripping drool. :D It was funny tho, he kept on sniffing me, licking my boots and jeans. I guess I was pretty lame for him and he left me alone hahaha. He was pretty sweet actually, if only he doesn't look that angry hahaha.

But anyway, back to the room in Amsterdam. I went to check it out after work and guess what? I love it! It looks exactly like in the pictures, the flat was very clean and the guy was very relax. I told him I'm gonna get the cat in the email I sent him and it was alright! I told him I smoke and it was alright too! So I basically said yes 3 hours after I saw it, haha. I didn't want to think too long, places like this in Amsterdam would be gone just like that.

So now I am sharing a flat with 3 guys, hahaha. Sound a bit kinky isn't it? Oh well, not really... the owner of the flat is a Surinamese and the other 2 guys are Czechs. One of them (the Czechs) is pretty cute tho, hahahahahahah! He's young too (compared to the rest) and made a very good first impression when I went to the room viewing. Enough about this cute Czech guy :D, let's get back to my room.

It's a small fully furnished room but cozy. I have my own balcony which is sweet, my own cable TV and my own small fridge in the room. I was thinking even if I will hate their guts, I can just stay in my room and be very happy, private and secure. I took some pictures but my camera is at home. I'll upload it here later! There is internet at home, we can steal it from the neighbours hehe.

Oh! I also will get a new kitten today! It's a she, an Exotic Shorthair cat! Super cute too! I have some of her pictures here but I will take a new one tonight and post it here!

Hmmm... what else? Oh, as much as I hate saying this... I am getting an Iphone. I know I know, I did say Iphone sucks last time but that was the old model! Now it comes with 3G and GPS. As good as N95... just that the camera is still a sucking 2.0MP, hahahha! But I don't care about the camera function now because I have a fabulous pink camera already! Iphone will become available next week I think, I'm gonna get it! The subscription deal is pretty cool too... unlimited data package is included in the subscription, so I can be online everywhere and anytime!

Last update... I got the sticker in my passport yesterday. My residence card will be ready in 2 months :) It will be for 3 years which is good because that means I don't have to reapply every year for the permit. My working permit is also for 3 years which after that I don't need it anymore because after 3 years, I can work here freely. So now, I only need to go open the bloody bank account and wait for the Iphone to come so that I can subscribe to the package.

My life improved tremendously since I first arrive. I have people I can talk with at home, go drinking with or even go to the the park or beach with. I'm gonna have my kitten too. Truth be told, maybe my life is better now than when I was back in Malaysia. I am more relax here, I didn't stress too much about work and I actually have the time to stop and smell the roses... metaphorically and literally.

BUT I do miss my friends a fcking lot :( I wish they are all here and it would be so perfect. How I wish I have them around like always only this time it's in Amsterdam. I miss my family too. Nothing I miss about Malaysia but that's no news I guess. Heh.Faiez Idrushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14868155752047581482noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6685891.post-69950085796586707432008-06-11T10:33:00.005+02:002008-06-11T11:26:57.552+02:00Tengok Rumah dan MemasakHello people!

It's been hot since Friday last week! A lot of people go out. They love the sun a lot, haha. It was OK, a bit on the 'too-hot' side for me. Maybe because I just arrived from a country with A LOT of sunny days. Perhaps I will miss the sunshine comes winter. Maybe... by then I'd rather be home in Malaysia, teehehe.

I went to a lot of house viewings but not lucky enough so far. The way it works here, you request for a viewing, they will confirmed and invite you and the rest of the people. If you're interested (and usually so did the rest of the people), the agent will give the name lists to the owner, owner will decide OR just a random pick (like lottery). See, I haven't been lucky so far, sigh.

I have 2 house viewings today, both in Haarlem. Supposedly 3 viewings but the last one re-scheduled. So I am off early today :) I reallllly like the last studio I viewed :( all new, small and cosy. Oh well, I need to learn to take things easy in Amsterdam, everyone does! Even if I can't find a place by end of Jun, very unlikely the company will let me be homeless I think.

Oh! I also cooked a lot, hahaha. Geez, I can really cook you know, haha. I even took pictures! So if you guys coming my way, I will cook for you too, hehe. Iddy, I will not cook ayam katok for you, ok? :)

Ok, let's see what I had since Saturday last week :D

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp1.blogger.com/_u6UBiL2UVWg/SE-WM1MtJiI/AAAAAAAAAZQ/spIvV2lZ1mc/s400/1.sat+dinner.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5210548441073919522" />
Sambal ikan bilis, telur dadar and sup makaroni!

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp0.blogger.com/_u6UBiL2UVWg/SE-WNLe_SOI/AAAAAAAAAZY/55MrqX3sn7I/s400/2.sun+lunch.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5210548447056185570" />
Nasi goreng - pakai perencah Adabi

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp1.blogger.com/_u6UBiL2UVWg/SE-WNSnrVtI/AAAAAAAAAZg/aSd3DDAYM2E/s400/3.sun+dinner.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5210548448971675346" />
Macaroni Beef Arabiatta

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp3.blogger.com/_u6UBiL2UVWg/SE-WN_onpmI/AAAAAAAAAZo/7zNIiQf6Fok/s400/4.mon+dinner.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5210548461055223394" />
Spaghetti Beef Arabiatta

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp1.blogger.com/_u6UBiL2UVWg/SE-WOJa8iiI/AAAAAAAAAZw/oFYqr2UBxeI/s400/5.tue+dinner.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5210548463682226722" />
Nasi goreng kampung! My office is on the 3rd floor and yes, three times climbing that steep stairs :) More actually because I have to go down/outside to smoke. If this won't make me slim and hot by August, I don't know what else would!

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp2.blogger.com/_u6UBiL2UVWg/SElP5sNd65I/AAAAAAAAAZA/ufNJRTfMIPY/s400/IMG_0515.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5208782296569473938" />
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp3.blogger.com/_u6UBiL2UVWg/SElP6debbwI/AAAAAAAAAZI/ta7YwvvzZBo/s400/IMG_0511.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5208782309793951490" />

It's a fabulous hot day today. Hot as in cool winds with sun shining on ya, hotness. So it's great! I can see (from afar) guys playing football on the field at the Museumplein. Teehehe. I should have gone nearer but I need to work... maybe this weekend should be spend... men oggling :D So here the pictures of today! It's brighter and sunnier than it looks in the picture, unfortunately I had the wrong setting in my camera, hehe.

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp0.blogger.com/_u6UBiL2UVWg/SElP3qzjyzI/AAAAAAAAAYo/A5cAYn2vcPg/s400/IMG_0513.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5208782261832633138" />
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp3.blogger.com/_u6UBiL2UVWg/SElP4LckLEI/AAAAAAAAAYw/BLIA1-rput0/s400/IMG_0514.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5208782270594559042" />
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp3.blogger.com/_u6UBiL2UVWg/SElP4-TNYvI/AAAAAAAAAY4/h4fRfkL3rBE/s400/IMG_0516.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5208782284245525234" />

That's all for this week. No internet over the weekend so I'll see ya on Monday! Have a great weekend people. I am pretty sure I'm gonna!Faiez Idrushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14868155752047581482noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6685891.post-6977527363117338222008-06-06T10:16:00.006+02:002008-06-06T11:36:28.523+02:00The BeginningHallo. Mijn naam is Faezah. Hoe het jij?

There. I can speak Dutch now, lol. Just in case you haven't notice or didn't know, I am now in Amsterdam! It's been 5 days now, feeling ok and adjusting well. The weather had been pretty nice, not too hot and not too cold, just nice to help me with the endless walking I need to do here, haha. I'm sort of liking the walking thing now, it's not as painful as walking back in Malaysia. I wasn't tired either... funny to think how I used to hate walking.

I also think I lost some weight. Yes, due to the walking and climbing the stairs of my office. Also due to eating less :D If I want to pig out, I need to cook. If I am too lazy to cook, it would be bread. So I am taking less calorie now and burning more! Hehe, I like.

I like the groceries shopping here, money to money, it is way cheaper than Malaysia. I now understand what Idlan said before, necessities at this part of the world is cheaper but luxury items are expensive (electrical goods, gadgets etc). That is why people can still survive with small earnings, unlike in Malaysia.

Oh! I cooked last night, hehe. Chicken curry with potatoes and cherry tomatoes, omelette with oyster sauce and very nice, hot and soft rice :D Aku makan memang macam babi semalam. Oh, I also have Kicap Hablal, hehe... di import khas dari Malaysia.

I am currently staying at this fully furnished apartment for 1 month. I wish I could continue renting this place but it's way too expensive and I obviously can't afford it! So now I am busy house hunting, hoping to find something decent in Amsterdam. After few days here, I understand why it is crucial for me to live in Amsterdam than any other places. I hope I could find something soon!

I walk to work everyday :) It's a 5-10 mins walking, which is pretty near. But if this is Malaysia, it would be really far, haha! I wouldn't walk! I am also thinking of buying a new bike, or maybe a second hand one... because it's cheaper and it will get stolen anyways. I came across this bike shop the other day, they have some neat bikes... but no pink ones! I saw a lot of pink bikes around, so I know I must get it!

Here are the pictures of my current apartment, the last 2 pictures are the view from the front and back of my office!

I can't wait to settle down, unpack my things and finally relax! I can only do that when I move to my own apartment. Yup, this is my home now. I better get used and loving it! :)Faiez Idrushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14868155752047581482noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6685891.post-46537321064172019152008-05-24T14:11:00.005+02:002008-05-24T15:29:45.522+02:00Leaving On Boeing 747-400It's FINALLY happening! Yattaaaaa!

I got my work permit, visa and flight ticket already. I can't believe it. My hard work paid off, my dream is coming true and I can finally go. Finally.

It's actually overwhelming. I think the reality will only hit me when I'm physically there. Living, working and trying to lead a new life. It's really a new beginning and I really hope it's a good one. At the age of 30 years old and single... I am ready to conquer the men... eh, world I mean. *ehem*

Anyways, I had few farewell dinners and lunch and drinkies last week. It was nice and sad at the same time. I am leaving the comfort of home, the warmth and love of my family and friends. It's a huge deal actually, it's not all fun and I am actually anticipated that I might be lonely and missing home. I never actually living alone all by myself far away from home, family and friends. But hey, nothing is without sacrifice, right?

My girlfriends love me sooooooooooo much they bought me a new camera! My first actually and I am loving it VERY much. It's Canon Ixus 80 IS, in PINK! Thanks so much guys, I really really really love it. I'll keep you guys updated with all the nice pictures of... ME. Muahahahaha!

I also got myself new luggage bags :D no... I wished it was pink but it's not. It's RED. Hehe. Oh, I also bought a new Elle sling bag which Maw sponsored half. I think my girlfriends would slapped me to death if I ever said nobody loves me again, hahaha! OMG, I am so gonna miss my friendsssss! No more late night gossips, teh tarik and just hanging out at Starbucks bitching about passers by.

I'm going back to my hometown on Monday and spend the rest of the week there. I'll get my grandma to cook all the food that I loveeeeeeeeeeee! Geez, I'm gonna miss her so much too... and my mom... and my siblings. Oh well.

So people, this might be the last post until I my feet touch the Dutch soil. It has been 50 weeks since I was last there and yes, I can't wait to be back! It's sad but also great at the same time. :)

My flight would be on Sunday next week and I know I'm gonna be teary eyed like mad. I will arrive in Amsterdam with eyes bulging red like a bull frog, hahaha!

I took pictures of my packed luggages and my new sling bag and of course they were taken with my new hot pink camera. Pictures of the dinner will come later, the connection too sucky to upload them now. Oh, btw, my two huge luggage bags were packed by Rina and Irin (and Chote as side helper with Maw only giving instructions, hehe)If it were me, I might need 3 huge bags instead, haha. Until then. Ciao.

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp3.blogger.com/_u6UBiL2UVWg/SDgVxZL07hI/AAAAAAAAAYY/2JiBuQcapMc/s400/IMG_0211A.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5203933307744874002" />
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp0.blogger.com/_u6UBiL2UVWg/SDgVxpL07iI/AAAAAAAAAYg/Yz_ot96Emac/s400/IMG_0216.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5203933312039841314" />

All my bags are packed
I'm ready to go...Faiez Idrushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14868155752047581482noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6685891.post-30893681677181111462008-05-02T08:37:00.005+02:002008-05-02T09:32:02.250+02:00Ik ga naar Nederland in de zomer!UPDATES!

Time flies!

Work permit is approved but MVV is still pending. If I'm not gone by the 1st week of June 08, I'd be homeless and my bosses are so gonna be responsible for it. :)

I'm so busy now days. I'm learning a lot of new stuff at work and loving it! It's not really in my job scope but it's so interesting and I hope the bosses let me do it rather that hire someone with the specific experience, teehehe. I know I sounded so kiasu, lol. I can't help it because it's for sure will give my resume a boost and if I am thinking of staying in Holland (or in Europe for that matter) for years, this will SURELY helps! I am talking about a skill that is basically used by ALL industries currently and in the future! So at least, for my next job-hunting mission, I wouldn't be looking only at industry specific jobs. :) *kiasu mode*

I FINALLY finished selling off my furnitures. Every single piece of them. Nobody has taken it yet but starting next week, my stuffs will be gone one by one. Such a bittersweet departure! I spent a good fortune buying and then selling them off for dirts, haha! Oh well, as long as they are all sold, I'm fine with it. It was never a money making thing in the first place, more like try to get rid but not for free kind of thing.

I'm also selling my DVD (of course lanun) and books (and comics) collections too. I just keep some that I REALLY can't part with and sell the rest. It's such a heartbreak, I tell you! A generous chunk of my money are spent on books and DVDs (albeit lanun) unlike most girls who spent them on handbags and shoes, which I'm glad that I'm not because I don't think I can sell them off like I did now, especially not the shoes.

Aaaand... the best thing now is someone already bought ALL my books I put on sale, haha! I am so happy! Also because she's a reader and I know my books, my precious precious books will be in good hands :)

On the DVD collections, I already have buyers who are keen on getting the series collections. Also, if you are interested and residing in Klang Valley, Malaysia... and not a stalker and dogdy and creepy kind of person, please email me. To name a few, I have Six Feet Under, Smallville, Queer As Folk, Sex in The City, Charmed and so on.

PS: AND, if you are good looking and generous, we could go out for a laid... eh, I mean for a date.Faiez Idrushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14868155752047581482noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6685891.post-31648725558279408652008-04-09T06:25:00.006+02:002008-04-09T06:48:34.343+02:00The Night I Was a Pig No More!My studio is SUPER DUPER clean, teehehe. I spent a lot of time cleaning up last night and slept at 3AM. Dusting, sweeping, mopping, arranging, throwing... I even wash the curtains! I was actually thinking of doing parts of it and continue again tonight but once I started I can't stop!!!

So now my studio is nice and comfy and inviting again. It had been a pigsty for a while... hehe. The reasons I did what I normally won't do under normal circumstances? Well, I have a few:

1. I am moving out so the cleaner the place the better, less work to do when they day comes.
2. I can't stand living in the pigsty anymore, seriously. Everyone has a limit and that was mine, althought mine is an equivalent to a pig, perhaps. Teehehe.
3. Potential tenant is coming to check out the studio and not the pigsty tomorrow night.
4. Since the potential tenant is coming, that person could also be my potential furniture buyer. If I am lucky enough, he or she would want to buy all my furnitures as well. The cleaner the studio, the better looking my furnitures would look.

So I really hope that person doesn't have furniture of his or her own and when he or she looked at how tastefully furnished my place is they'll fall for it :D

Cunning eh? Nope. I'd say that's smart!

PS: If this doesn't work, I will make a list with price and pictures of the things I want to sell off, which basically EVERYTHING!Faiez Idrushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14868155752047581482noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6685891.post-32088875826410135982008-04-04T07:18:00.004+02:002008-04-15T13:49:04.602+02:00I'm Adopted!It's FRIDAY! Yippie!

I am going out tonight with my Dutch colleague. :) Before you start rolling your eyes and say, 'NOT AGAINNNNN!', let me just tell you this.

1. I will NOT, I repeat, WILL NOT get involve with another colleague. Maurits would be the first and the last office shag.
2. As for the colleague, he is not into ms pussycat if you get my drift. Since I do not posses the tool he fancies, it's the end of story.
3. Furthermore, his bf is here :)
4. I am officially their 'Adopted Asian Kid' lol.

So, tonight we're going dinner and then hit the clubs or bars. They are staying at a 2-bedroom condo in B. Bintang area, so I was offered to change and stay over for tonight if I want to (or have to in the case of totally wasted). Tell you the truth, I couldn't feel safer than this, hahaha!

Tomorrow I am going back to my hometown. Most probably EVERY weekend from now on until 'D' day. :) I've also decided to enjoy every bit of 'Malaysian' from now on. From the hot sun, heavy rain, flash flood, nice hot spicy dishes etc to the typical rudeness and inefficiency we encounter everyday!

Things are looking very good :) Happy, happy!

Have a great weekend people! Be safe and don't forget the rubbers!

PS: Silly boy, I'm not gonna be online from tonight till Sunday! You gonna miss me a lot, teehehe.Faiez Idrushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14868155752047581482noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6685891.post-13065717478798253662008-04-03T06:56:00.011+02:002008-04-03T19:36:42.942+02:00When a Moronic Ignorant Practising the Freedom of SpeechI actually refused to comment or write about it in my blog but I just have this feeling today, that I HAVE to. I MUST. Sigh. It's about the movie 'Fitna' by that Dutch guy, Geert Wilders. Sigh.

First of all, let me just clarify my position in this. I am Muslim, my religion is Islam. Although I am far from practising it and I've sinned... A LOT (well, according to my religion that is), there is no way in hell or heaven or earth that I'd denounce my faith. I might not be a practising Muslim but I still am one even if it's only by name.

OK.

I watched that 15 minutes movie, last night. It actually got me thinking. The truth is I wasn't especially angry about the content and the whole degrading of Islam stuff. An open clear minded person or Muslim for that matter would've seen how exaggerated the movie was. I am NOT saying it is OK to produce such movie because it is not. It is just wrong to exercise the freedom of speech and liberty without considering the repercussion.

I must also say the movie disturbed me in so many levels. It wasn't the Quran translations because you don't need to be a genius to know it's crap. Conclusions can't be made on a few sentences but assumptions could. You don't need very much to assume things.

But the preaching clips!!! Oh my, it disturbed me so much because living in this pretty liberal Muslim country, I am not, well never been exposed to religious leaders that sounded so... hateful. That spoke with such vengeance and hatred. I am not generalising but I am sure there are people that would. And that is really sad especially to the rest of the Muslims all around the world because the majority of us are peaceful people. Sigh. Maybe I didn't learn it well but I know enough that violence is bad. To be extremely fanatical about anything is bad too.

Geert Wilders and those preachers he showed in the movies are the same side of coins if you ask me. Both are preaching the same thing. Hate, vengeance and annihilation. It's a never ending story.

In my opinion, freedom of speech and liberty are great things but they would not be great any longer if you add moronic ignorance to it. Speak your mind, stand for what you think is right and be as liberal as you want but do it with awareness and a little bit of sensitivity if you must.

That's not really freedom of speech and liberty, you say? But that doesn't make you a moron either, does it?

PS: Btw, I am not changing my mind about going to Holland. Mind you, I COME IN PEACE!Faiez Idrushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14868155752047581482noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6685891.post-70124045965040245032008-04-01T16:29:00.010+02:002008-04-01T20:05:43.110+02:00Geek Mode ActivatedI come back pretty late from work today. Later than my usual 7.30pm. It wasn't a super busy day but I was so immersed in my work I kinda lost track of time. But I am so proud of myself today because finally I understand the technical part of affiliate marketing and network. I've been wanting to do that for a while!

You see, the concept of affiliate marketing and network is very easy to understand. In fact to promote or sell your product or service online through the affiliate network is pretty easy. Find network(s), get connected, offer good commission rate and wait for the traffic to flood your way. Well, of course there are a lot of things to be done in between the steps like network assessment, some researching, some reading, some calculation etc. But that wasn't my biggest worry. My biggest worry was the technical implementation of it, things that make it work.

By right I shouldn't. Well, not if I'm just doing online marketing I wouldn't. If that's the case, I just need to worry about the marketing optimization.

But being the so called PM ala PITA (Pain in the Arse), I feel that it is essential that I know how it works technically. So that I could speak the same language with the geekies behind the server. So that I could kick some arses when it wasn't done correctly. I mean, of course there are half fluent Project Managers that only have surface level knowledge (I even know some) but I am just not one of them. My extra edge and selling points are always my technical understanding of things. I have enough technical knowledge to pin point what could possibly be wrong most of the times. I'm not even surprised if I happened to be on the programmer's hate list. Heh.

Ok ok fineeee. Being Ms-I-Must-Know-It-All makes me sleep well at night. *eyes rolling*

So today, being the true Ms-I-Must-Know-It-All, I was busy reading up about pixels, tracking codes, server to server integration, which network can do this, can't do that, which technical implementation should be used to optimize sales flow and everything in between. I am very satisfied with myself because now I have the answers to why it was like that and why it should be like this and not like that.

And after all that (surprise, surprise), I come to realize that I am better, always better at things technical rather than commercial things like marketing or business developement. I am much happier when managing the technical side rather than the commercial side of a project, which explains why I like what I do. I think I just love the complexity of it all because this is at least a complexity I know. Although now I also need to get involve in the commercial part of the project (deals negotiation, media planning, business case analysis... that sort of things). I don't hate it but I don't like it much either because I feel like I'm out of my league a little bit.

Ok ok fineeee. Me a geek. *eyes rolling*

I know, I know... I just need to put more effort. It adds value and expands my skills and knowledge. Of course I know that, duh. Hmmm... I also want to learn more about this online marketing thingy. I think it's pretty cool after finding out what the competitors are doing and how they're doing it. Maybe I should discuss this with my bosses, they are looking for an Online Marketing Manager and I think if I ask for the opportunity to try it, they'd let me. Most probably. As far as my experience goes working with the Europeans, they always give opportunities to those who seek for it. In fact, they kinda appreciate it. A lot. Worth a shot, me thinks.

Of course I will not give up being a geek *batting eyelashes*. I just can't because it's my 'forte', sort of my 'calling' LMFAO. Not saying I don't have enough on my plates, just that I think I should give it a shot. Would be nice for my resume too, hehe. If I do it well that definitely translated to more moolahs, muahahahahaha! *smug evil laugh*

If only I put this much effort into my social life. Then maybe my sexual life wouldn't be this... dry. Literally.

Aku gersang bak gurun sahara. Teehehe.

*Deactivate geek mode. Teehehe. Yeah yeah I know I shouldn't cos now instead of one bunny to bring to Holland, I have two. Worse come to worst, I will only bring Feefi BUT I will try my hardest to bring both because I think Feefi will be depressed without her new friend. It is also very cruel to leave one. If one has to be left behind, I think it is better to leave both. Urgh. I guess we have to wait and see how cruel and selfish I'd be when the time comes.

I don't have the picture of the new friend but she is also a female bunny, black color with a bit of white at the lips and white front paws as if like she's wearing socks 3 sizes too small. She is also cute, bit longish fur with short flat snub. She looks exactly like Feefi just black in color and smaller in size. Feefi is now acting like the big sister :) snugglling close to her new friend and sleeping on top of her, just because she can I guess. I'll post their picture together next time.

I haven't decided on the name yet. I thought since she's black I want to call her Blacky, but then it sounds too 'manly' for a girl, so I think for now I will call he Bekky instead. Bekky has no toilet manner, she pooed and peed while she eats and it's everywhere. Feefi on the other hand already learned to pee in the litter box and occasional accidents where she pooed while she eats. I hope Bekky will learn from Feefi soon because it is so not cool sleeping in the ocean of poos. It is also not cool for me to be picking up the shit pills after them.

My days here are numbered. The excitement I thought I'd be feeling for long is wearing off. In fact, reality started to kick in and dawned upon me. Nope, I am not getting cold feet, really.

Just that...
The thought of settling A LOT of crap is tiring and troublesome.
The thought of leaving my mom and grandma behind is breaking my heart... slowly.
But I guess that's the price I've to pay for a dream come true.

Sigh. Oh well. Who said life is easy? Not.Faiez Idrushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14868155752047581482noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6685891.post-23819386796921595862008-03-27T18:03:00.004+01:002008-03-27T18:30:34.895+01:00I'm a Dreamer and Feefi is FatterFeefi grew a bit I think, she's like a piggie, she eats all the time! Check out the pics I took, she finally moved in the bigger cage! See how cute she is, sleeping like a freaking cat! I'm teaching her toilet manners, it's still a loooooooooooong way to go! But I am very sure she'll get there!

I have this HUGE news I wanna share but I don't know if I should yet. Maybe in 2 weeks time I would. Some might have guessed it lol. But let's wait and see :)

But people, dreams do come true. Well, as long as it is realistic enough haha. I dreamt of shagging Brad Pitt when I was younger, now that I am older and wiser *ehem* I know better. I guess I can keep on dreaming that... in my sleep! *blush*

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp3.blogger.com/_u6UBiL2UVWg/R-vYomAsvjI/AAAAAAAAAXo/LBkythTaUls/s400/DSC00097.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5182473988129734194" />
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp1.blogger.com/_u6UBiL2UVWg/R-vYpGAsvkI/AAAAAAAAAXw/57_cqKQzHHU/s400/DSC00092.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5182473996719668802" />
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp2.blogger.com/_u6UBiL2UVWg/R-vYpWAsvlI/AAAAAAAAAX4/UAgYTMOs0F4/s400/DSC00091.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5182474001014636114" />
Faiez Idrushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14868155752047581482noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6685891.post-30283838877008960562008-03-24T17:25:00.007+01:002008-03-24T17:51:49.345+01:00Ik ben Feefi. Ik ben een mooi meisje!Say hello to Feefi the baby bunny. She'll be going to Holland with me (I really hope so)... IF I'm going in summer that is. I haven't heard anything from my boss yet regarding my visa and work permit application, I was told that he should be getting some updates on the residence visa next week and another 6 weeks after that on my work permit. I'm feeling a little bit nervous to be honest.

Oh well.

Anyway, Feefi is 2 months old (I think). She is a mixed breed rabbit, my guess would be a cross between Netherlands Dwarf + Anggora because she has this short ears and very fluffy longish soft hair. She also has this short snub ala the Netherlands Dwarf. I don't really care because she has the sweetest temperament a rabbit could have!

Check her out. Ain't she super cute?

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp3.blogger.com/_u6UBiL2UVWg/R-fZpmAsvgI/AAAAAAAAAXQ/_40GRper8_g/s400/DSC00087.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5181349204914388482" />
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp0.blogger.com/_u6UBiL2UVWg/R-fZp2AsvhI/AAAAAAAAAXY/pyTR4fMuBZQ/s400/DSC00088.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5181349209209355794" />
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp0.blogger.com/_u6UBiL2UVWg/R-fZp2AsviI/AAAAAAAAAXg/Ox1BmrYP3M4/s400/DSC00089.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5181349209209355810" />

Btw, my sister (more like me mom) will be taking care of the hammies when I'm gone and my piggies for adoption. I can't be bringing all of 'em to Holland, can I? I wouldn't be able to afford it anyway.Faiez Idrushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14868155752047581482noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6685891.post-69491523511383882242008-03-22T08:36:00.004+01:002008-03-22T09:10:14.480+01:00It's All About.... Me, ME, me, ME, me, mE!!!Guess what? I woke up early today and since today is a Saturday, that's an achievement. I think my body clock is back to normal, well... after 3 weeks of hard work, it should (lol).

Yes, I'm back working my arse off :) Tired, busy, hectic but feeling useful nonetheless. Apart from working, I'm also busy with Adita and her new baby. They got back here 3 weeks ago and I tried to spend as much time as I could... knowing full well that I might be seeing baby Haidan again in 1 year time... well, maybe earlier if my work permit to Holland is coming through that is.

Talk about Haidan. He's a very cute baby. Handsome... very fair and just sooooo cute! Me, Adita and Vasantha also spent a weekend at The Westin last week. It was fun, we ate the nicest pasta ever at Prego then sang our heart out, like some superstar at the karaoke bar. Vas got drunk like nobody's business again but it was all good. There are things that you can buy... but spending time with those who stood by you through thick and thin? Priceless.

Oh, Adita got me a nice birthday present! A Ginger Spice baby tee! Me loveeeeeeeeee so much! Maybe not a lot of ppl know that I am a big... HUGE fan of the Spice Girls. Well, me and Adita used to sing and dance to their songs back in our Uni days. They might not be super talented... but hey, the idea of Spice Girls and girl power are just my thang ok? I mean, apart from Spice Girls, there is no all girls band that promote girl power? Most that you can see nowdays are the ones oozing with extra sexuality power that makes the boys drool, haha. Or those who actually likes to steal someone else's bf by singing... don't cha wish your gf is hot like me? LOL.

Hmm.. ah I also started to use SKII. It's been 1 week I think... I could see some improvement to my skin texture and tone. I think it's working alright... I'm going to do the facial too. Now that I am 30, I just need to take extra care of everything. I seriously don't fancy looking my age... especially if I want to date younger boys, LMFAO.

I also rebonded my hair :D Now it is super straight and shiny :D I feel great, fabulous and beautiful. LOL. The puke bag is on top shelf, on the right. Please help yourself, hahaha!

Oh well, whateverrrrr! There are only 2 types of people in this world. Those who love me... and those who envy me. Which one are you? :)

P/S: Noi definitely loves me. She bought me this fabulous baby tee when she was holidaying in Australia last week! The baby tee said: Miss Celebrity. Awhhh...Faiez Idrushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14868155752047581482noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6685891.post-51076097831856098812008-03-20T08:41:00.003+01:002008-03-20T09:27:33.484+01:00Super Phones I Wanna!I am eyeing these two phones. Supposedly launch in Q3 2008. Both are very interesting. For Sony Ericsson Xperia X1, this would be Sony's 1st Microsoft Mobile phone. For Nokia N96, not much upgrade from my stolen Nokia N95 8GB, except that now instead of 8GB, it is onboard 16GB and expendable up to another 16GB with memory card! Sweet. I really want both but that would be just stupid, unless I met someone really nice and would be happy to buy me a super phone... again (this is highly unlikely, I kept thinking that M is one of a kind, hehe).

Oh well, I don't really have time to update now. Maybe I'll write more over the weekend. For now, please check out the super phones! Sigh. They are such a turn on!

SONY ERICSSON XPERIA X1
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp1.blogger.com/_u6UBiL2UVWg/R-IXGWAsvcI/AAAAAAAAAWw/JvPic7fPNAw/s400/se-x1-00.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5179727919184657858" />
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp2.blogger.com/_u6UBiL2UVWg/R-IXGmAsvdI/AAAAAAAAAW4/m8CELtBtjRo/s400/se-x1-01.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5179727923479625170" />
NOKIA N96
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp3.blogger.com/_u6UBiL2UVWg/R-IXG2AsveI/AAAAAAAAAXA/ld90FxopNrs/s400/nokia_n96_00.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5179727927774592482" />
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp3.blogger.com/_u6UBiL2UVWg/R-IXG2AsvfI/AAAAAAAAAXI/vV3B6bEGGmM/s400/nokia_n96_01.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5179727927774592498" />

Pictures taken from: GSM ARENAFaiez Idrushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14868155752047581482noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6685891.post-61941620261647332452008-03-07T07:42:00.006+01:002008-03-07T08:33:56.205+01:00Me Updates!Me likey my new job.
