On A Scale From 1 to Tim- This Was Totally Tim

I saw this cactus at the store and decided it would be a nice gift for Steve. Very fitting seeing as there was an episode last season where Tim gave a cactus as a gift although in Tim's case, the gift wasn't received very well.
I painted Tim on the pot. Painting pots is rather difficult, you pretty much can't mess up, but I think it came out great and Steve said it was amazing.

I sketched myself today. Blue seems to be the theme, although I am not sad. Even though I played a game of Mario Cart against my co-workers and came in last, I'm very content.

I Am A Piece Of The Pyramid

I'll have a few pieces in this up coming group show with Human Pyramids Artist Collective at Ghettogloss gallery on Melrose. Ghettogloss as been a true home for my pieces, thanks to the owner Fiora and her awesome tastes in art. The show is a collection of works of art by artist from around the globe. We are all friends as well so it's going to be such a fun opening! I will be there and I encourage anyone who is reading this to try and make it out for this opening. Music will be spun by my favorite DJ, DJ Teridactyl.

Beached Seal

This quick sketch was to show my brother the picture I saw in a Ripley's Believe It or Not book. The story was about a Seal that came in with the tide and got beached on top of a pole in the water. It stayed there for 8 hours till the tide came back in and than it swam away.

I'm working on a new painting for an upcoming group show with Human Pyramids in September. I never have pictures of me working cause it always looks like a mess, but I should have some. I'm going to start trying to take more pictures of my workspace.

It's the Grand Opening of the Helena Markos on line Boutique. I've designed and fabricated beautiful hair accessories, headbands and jewelry to sell in the on line shop. We also have a blog, a myspace and a facebook (of course), so please befriend us. I love all the pieces in my collection so much, it's hard for me to keep from not selling them and wearing them myself!

The headbands make anything look beautiful, even this tree branch!

Palmer, AK Music Video In The Works

If you're bored, than you're not being creative...

Music and art just go so well together! It's embarrassing to admit, but sometimes while I'm drawing or painting, I hum a made of theme song to myself for the image I am creating. In this case, I didn't have to make up a theme song, it was already made up for me by a one man band whom calls himself Palmer, AK. The song is called "Mine For Ten Years Or More".
With Palmer's hypnotizing tempo and sincere lyrics combined with my penguins and polar bears, we're creating quite the music video. I'm working in Final Cut Pro to create a stop motion animated short story about a helicopter flying over the arctic. There are lots of other surprises the helicopter encounters and maybe a bit of danger too!
The video is still in the making and should be ready for release early next year. Here's a still of craziness for ya!
