There are two different analyses that a bankruptcy trustee will use to determine a debtor's eligibility for chapter 7 bankruptcy. In the median/means test, the trustee will use an average of a debtor's income over the prior six months. For Schedule J of the bankruptcy petition, the trustee will look at a debtor's current income and compare it to his current expenses. The trustee must be satisfied that a debtor qualifies under both analyses to qualify for a chapter 7 bankruptcy.

The median/means test is a straightforward analysis of a debtor's income. The bankruptcy rules take into account the county in which the debtor lives and his family size. It then sets an amount that the debtor's gross income must be under in order to qualify for a chapter 7 bankruptcy. If the debtor's combined gross income is under that cutoff amount, then the means test is satisfied. If the income calculation is over this amount, the debtor may still qualify under the means portion of the test. This will compare the six month average of his income to a six month average of his expenses. If the former is less than the latter, the test is satisfied.

The other income analysis that the bankruptcy trustee will consider involves Schedule I and J of the bankruptcy petition, which address the debtor's current monthly income and current monthly expenses. He or she will be looking to ensure that a debtor does not have much disposable income with which to make monthly payments toward debts. If the debtor has disposable income that is sufficient enough to make significant monthly payments toward creditors, the debtor's case will likely be dismissed if filed with the court. This is a judgment call by the trustee and does not involve a black-and-white analysis as the median test does.

Here is a hypothetical example of Schedule J in action. A debtor has a disposable monthly income of $100 per month. The overall unsecured debt he would eliminate via bankruptcy is $40,000. It is unlikely a trustee would view $100.00 as a large enough monthly payment to pay off the $40,000 in unsecured debt within a reasonable time.

However, if this same debtor had $500 or $600 of disposable income each month after expenses have been deducted, the results could be different. The trustee might well determine that this amount of disposable income is sufficient to make payments and eliminate the unsecured debt in a reasonable amount of time. If this is the trustee's determination, the case probably will be dismissed.

It is also important to note that bankruptcy rules only allow for certain expenses to be included on the Schedule J calculation. The trustee determines what, if any, other expenses can be included in the bankruptcy petition. If the trustee chooses not to include some of the expenses, it can increase the debtor's monthly amount of disposable income. If this amount increases significantly, then typically you'll find that the debtor's case will be dismissed by the court.

A professional bartender should have in their head hundreds of recipes for drinks and shots. The quicker that you can serve the customer the more likely you are to get a good tip. It is not very professional to go over and look at a recipe book while the customer is waiting on his or her drink, especially if you are working at a busy night club.

Another must from a bartender, especially you are working in a pub or tavern, will be your people skills. It is very important to interact with your customers. The better you try and serve your customers and interact with them, the more likely they are to return, and not only that the more money you will make overall.

In the United States, mostly all bartenders are payed minimum wage. So their main source of income will be coming from tips, which is a custom in almost every country. Bartenders must also be strict when it comes to checking if that person is old enough to drink alcohol or not.

So as you can see there are many responsibilities when it comes to being a bartender. You are in charge of a great amount of alcohol.
