Pro Surfer Kekoa Cazimero is hosting the Pink Tiki Party on Friday in Waikiki

In celebration of the upcoming Valentine's Day, Pro Surfer Kekoa Cazimero is hosting the Pink Tiki Party on Friday night at Tiki's Bar and Grill located in the Resort Quest Waikiki Beach Hotel at 2570 Kalakaua Avenue.

With Valentine's Day and love in the air, the theme for this raging event is pink. So party people at the Pink Tiki Party will be dressed in freshest fashion colored in pink.

"Pink is one of my favorite colors and it's hard to find a reason to wear pink out on the town. That's one of the reasons I wanted to throw the Pink Tiki Party with my boy Matty Liu," says Cazimero. "When Friday night comes, it's time to rock out with your pink out!"

With drink specials starting at $3, hip-hop, house and mashup DJ's spinning the night away, the Pink Tiki Party is promising to be the perfect event to rekindle the love or find a new Valentine. While there sample the one and only Pink Tiki Drink: a sweet, lemonade-like concoction of Grey Goose Vodka and Quatro served in a martini glass. If cocktails aren't your fancy, than bottles of Steinlager Pur will be making its rounds throughout the Pink Tiki Party.

For those beautiful babies and beaus dressed in pink and having a good time, there will also be a raffle to win Kekoa Cazimeor's HIC surfboard. Cazimero will be giving away his 7'0" Eric Arakawa mini-gun to one lucky guest at the end of the night, must be present to win.

Doors open at 10 p.m. on Friday night at Tiki's Bar and Grill for the Pink Tiki Party. Come to celebrate Valentine's Day with Kekoa Cazimero, Matty Liu and gorgeous people dressed in pink. Valet parking downstairs free for three hours.

Team Rider Kekoa Cazimero Gives Back

After a six-year hiatus, the National Scholastic of Surfing Association Hawai'i Conference is returning to Turtle Bay on the North Shore of O'ahu for its 5-Star event held from Jan. 31 to Feb. 1.

At the contest site, NSSA Hawai'i will announce a history-making essay contest to determine the winner of Koa's Ultimate Experience: a travel grant presented by Kekoa Cazimero and the Koa Tree Foundation valued approximately at $4,000. NSSA members will have to answer two questions in 500-words: 1) How do you balance school, surfing and a social life? 2) If you receive this grant how will you give back to your community? Entries are due by March 5, 2009.

This grant is for a young, deserving NSSA competitor and his or her parent to travel to NSSA National Championships in San Clemente, Calif. held from June 16-29. Koa's Ultimate Experience includes a custom board shaped by Eric Arakawa, two round-trip Hawaiian Airlines tickets, rental car, hotel accommodations at the San Clemente Inn and park hopper passes to Disney Land. NSSA Hawai'i Conference Director Bobbi Lee is excited about the essay contest and Kekoa Cazimero's philanthropy through the Koa Tree Foundation.

"Kekoa is someone whose young and is giving back so quickly," Lee says. "He has always been an inspiration in the NSSA. I feel like he's a leader and he's going to teach these kids a new path and new way to go on in the surfing industry."

1st LA Tri Club Meeting Starts Off With A Bang......And Iron Man Champ Craig Alexander

While the sun was setting over LAX one of the largest and most accomplished Tri-Clubs in the nation met for their first meeting of 2009. To kick off this event hoards of endurance athletes met in a restaurant that doubles as a war-plane graveyard (The Proud Bird) to relax, unwind, have a bite to eat and listen to the 2008 Ironman World Champion, Craig Alexander, speak about his experiences, nutrition, training schedule and other tid bits of wisdom. As the proud sponsor of the Los Angeles Tri Club, Hawaiian Island Creations 2X Suncare & creator/founder Dr. Nic Martens, was on hand to pass out free samples and educate these dedicated athletes on the importance of sun care and protection. PLA Season Comes To A Close In Surf City USA

This past weekend the PLA Surf Series came to a close with its championship event in Huntington Beach, CA. The waves were going off to say the least and the world’s best were on hand to take full advantage of the glassy, off-shore conditions. Even though there was some smoke from the wild fires infiltrating the contest the promoters and surfers alike did not let this out a damper on the event. It was a pancake breakfast fit for a king or everyone who decided to get up at the crack o' dawn to compete in the 3rd Annual St. John's Santa Monica 5,000! Last weekend HIC 2X Suncare joined forces with the legendary beach volleyball guru, Sinjin Smith, to host the 1st Annual Sinjin Corporate Challenge at the Marina Green Park in Long Beach, CA. There were competitions in Beach Volleyball, Beach Soccer, Flag Football and the exciting new sport of Beach Tennis which was all the rage at this innagural event. This past week the Summer X Games were held at the Home Depot Center in Carson, CA. Hawaiian Island Creations 2X Suncare was on hand to make sure all the event-goers, athletes, and operations staff were protected against the scorching sun. We placed one gallon HIC Suncare dispensers in key locations throughout the venue (i.e. athlete lounge, operations and logistics areas, athlete staging areas) as well as having a 10’ X 10’ tent in the “X Fest Village” fully decked out with beautiful imagery by world renowned photographer Bo Bridges (www.bobridges.com). We were also able to supply every athlete who participated in the event with their own personal bottle. At our booth we gave out sample packs of sunblock, consumer brochures, coupons, stickers, hats and a few t-shirts. We also managed to get quite a few people to test out our face machine to see what kind of skin damage they already had. We also received numerous “shout outs” from Bonton, the X Games on-air announcer for ESPN as well as from Stryker who was doing a live broadcast for the KROQ 106.7 radio station on Saturday!

Pediatric Cancer Walk Sun. May 4th

If you are going to be in Irvine this Sun. May 4th, come down and support the Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation effort to find the cure. This event is a 10k run, 5k run and 1k kids walk. HIC Suncare will be down there with samples for everyone to help protect themselves from suns damaging rays. There will also be an HIC 2X sunblock tent set up with a machine that will let you see the areas on your face that have been damaged by the sun.

HIC Suncare Team At Vans Pier Classic

Congrats to the HIC Suncare Team riders on their performance at the Vans Pier Classic this past weekend. The team riders who competed where; Reef McIntosh, Dane Gudauskas, and Kekoa Cazimero. Kekoa had strong performances in the Mens Pro Junior, and made it all the way to the quarter finals. Dane also was ripping, winning several of his heats in the ‘QS event but didn’t quite get the waves he needed in his quarter final heat.
