Do your kids like eating figs? I don't think figs are very common by me due to the climate and I've never even eaten a fresh fig. We took the kids apple and pear picking last fall and it was so much fun. They've also enjoyed keeping a bowl in the kitchen stocked with cherry tomatoes.
