Bart Rockett is a fabulous magician. There is no doubt about that. Yet, it's hard to just call him a magician. Bart Rockett is a talented comedian, performs a hilarious ventriloquist act, and is all around one of Branson's best variety show entertainers suitable for kids and adults of all ages.

Performing since the age of 10, Bart Rockett has a lot of stories to tell, and takes the time to get personal with the audience. I originally stumbled upon Bart Rockett's show by accident. I had accidentally went to the wrong theater and it was nearing showtime. Fully aware that I could not reach the other side of town by the time the show original show that I went to see began, I decided to go ahead and give this show a try. Karaoke Bars In Branson, Missouri

Branson, the country music capital of the world, has been attracting millions of visitors each season for their one of a kind family oriented music shows. After witnessing a few of these fabulous music shows, you just may want to jump on stage and give it a shot yourself! How can you do that? Well, karaoke of course! Today, I'm going to recommend some of the local bars that you can go to for a few drinks, great music, and some karaoke fun.

Docs Sports Bar : Doc's is my favorite bar to go to in Branson. Not because its glamorous in any way (because its not!). I enjoy it because its the only bar in Branson that has the "home town bar" feel. Its where all the locals go on that side of town. At Doc's you'll find a lot of friendly people, pool tables, dart boards, ntn trivia, television interactive poker, 12 televisions for all the sports action, live bands (on thursdays), and karaoke during the weekends. So come on out to Doc's, grab a microphone, and sing us a song! Ask, for "gobear" if you come in (my poker screename that has turned into my nickname in the bar) and say hello! Doc's Sports Bar is located on highway 165 very close to the Welk Resort and Theater.

Outback Pub : On Tuesdays and Thursdays, the Outback Pub has karaoke that starts at around 9:30 pm. I would recommend getting there a little early because it is located right in the middle of the strip and the bar tends to get crowded at around 9:00. Seating can be problematic when its crowded. I have had to stand for quite a while on a few occasions until a seating vacancy opened up. All in all, I enjoy the Pub. Great "bar food", live music throughout the week, and karaoke on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Hillbilly Inn : The Hillbilly Inn has karaoke nearly every night of the week. It is located on highway 76. I really can't recall if the bar area has a kitchen, so I can't really comment on the food. The karaoke is nice, and usually draws a crowd that enjoys the older, classic country music. So, if your a fan of Patsy, Waylon, and Willie, then the Hillbilly Inn would the place to be.

Beverly's Steakhouse : Beverly's has moved onto the outskirts of town (East Highway 76 towards Kirbyville) and has a brand new bar that has occasional karaoke contests on the weekends, and a DJ during the week that is happy to let you take the stage and sing a song! Beverly's has nice food but stops serving at around 8:30 or 9:00. So, if your wanting to eat late, then Beverly's wouldn't be a good option. I'd recommend The Outback Pub for that. Beverly's is clean, comfortable, and just perfect if you are staying across the taneycomo bridge on east highway 76.

Hopefully this may help guide you in the right direction if your wanting to sing some karaoke, have a few cocktails, and enjoy some great music. Some of these bars have Branson entertainers that come in after their shows are out and occasionally they take the stage and sing a few songs. They are usually quite approachable, and are just there to socialize and have fun, just like you!

If you have ever vacationed in Branson you are already well aware that traffic congestion can be a problem during peak times of the season. If this will be your first visit to Branson, I strongly urge that you take the time to research your vacation and listen to a few of the travel tips that I have to offer.

Before you arrive to Branson, I suggest that you set up your lodging reservations online and find a hotel that is nearest to the "central theme" of your vacation. For example, if you plan to spend the majority of your time fishing, on Table Rock Lake, you will want to find a hotel nearest to the lake (pretty self explanatory). If you will be spending a large majority of your time going to music shows, and shopping at the outlet malls, then you will probably want to find a hotel near the center of the "main strip" on highway 76.

Silver Dollar City is probably the most popular attraction that Branson has to offer, with millions of visitors coming every season to visit this very unique "themed" amusement park. There is one very important problem that many people either don't know or often overlook while planning their trip to Branson. There is only one road that goes in to Silver Dollar City and its not unusual to get stuck in traffic MILES away from "SDC"! Bass Pro Shops : The original Bass Pro, the "Granddaddy" of them is located in Springfield, Missouri. If you haven't been to a Bass Pro, its is more than just a fishing and tackled store. It is for anybody that loves the outdoors. Exhibits, aquariums, and a wildlife museum is also located at Bass Pro Shops.

The fish and wildlife museum is particularly entertaining for the whole family. The museum is a 92,000 square feet "zooquarium" with over 225 different species of live animals, fresh and salt water aquariums, and interactive displays.
Missouri Sports Hall of Fame in Springfield, Missouri : For those sports enthusiasts, the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame (just 30 minutes north of Branson, off of highway 65), is a must "stop and see" attraction. The Missouri Sports Hall of Fame is a two story museum showcasing memorabilia and displays of famous Missouri athletes.

Eureka Springs : A scenic 45 minute drive to the southwest of Branson lies a treasure of a town that is well worth stopping by on your way back home from your Branson vacation.

Eureka Springs, is a small tourist community that has been somehow lost in time. Quaint victorian houses, "free spirit" shops, scenic splendor, healing spas, and music festivals are just a few of the reasons why visitors love Eureka Springs. Vacations are meant to free the mind, entertain your soul, and give yourself a break from some of the trials and tribulations of everyday life. However, just like virtually all vacations, your trip can also be straining on your pocketbook as well. This doesn't necessarily have to be the case! It's possible to enjoy an entire day in Branson spending very little of your hard earned cash!

Here are some tips of the cheap (or FREE) things to do in Branson, Missouri:

Shepherd of the Hills Fish Hatchery : Fishing on Lake Taneycomo is a trout fishermans dream. Part of the reason why the trout fishing is so wonderful on Taneycomo can largely be attributed to the fish hatchery, located under the Table Rock Damn on highway 165. Over 100 million trout are raised and released annually into Lake Taneycomo. Bring your family out to enjoy the fish aquariums, learn about why Lake Taneycomo is a cold water lake, and take an enjoyable walk through the fish hatchery. Cheap entertainment for the whole family!
Free Branson Show Tickets : If you have a couple of hours to spend at one of the many timeshare resorts, you will be rewarded with free show tickets, and sometimes even cold hard cash! You listen to a presentation and then take a tour throughout one of the resorts. After the presentation you are sent to their "gifting house" and rewarded for your time! Branson's Moonshine Beach : Moonshine Beach is the probably the best beach that Table Rock Lake in Branson has to offer. It only costs a few dollars to park for an entire afternoon of fun on the water.
Table Rock Damn : Crowds gather all throughout the year to take pictures and admire with amazement at the damn that holds back all of the water of the Old White River. With any luck, you may come at the right time while they open up the flood gates at the damn and send waterfalls of excess water into Taneycomo. Another free scenic attraction that Branson has to offer.
Lake Taneycome Waterfront on the Landing : The Branson Landing is new to Branson, and has instantly become one of Branson's most popular entertainment attractions. Bring a loved one and take a romantic stroll down the waterfront on Taneycomo. Enjoy fountain shows, free musical entertainment, and spend a few hours browsing through all the shops that makes the Landing one of Branson's top shopping destinations. Its free if you just browse throught the shops. However, after seeing all of the high quality stores, its easier said than done. Belk, Hollister, Bass Pro Shops, Victoria Secret, and over 100 more of the most popular stores in the country can be found here on the Landing. I highly recommend coming out and spending an afternoon.
Stone Hill Winery : As you can already see, there are plenty of free and cheap things to do in Branson, Missouri. The Stone Hill Winery is no exception. Come on out and enjoy a free tour throughout on of the most popular winery's in Missouri. Sample fine wines (grapejuice for the kids), and learn all about the winemaking process during this free tour.
Free Sunday Gospel Shows : Come on out and enjoy some gospel music with some of the most popular entertainers in Branson. Don't be surprised to see other entertainers you may recognize scattered throughout the audience singing along to great gospel music right along beside you.
Scenic Lookouts - Several tremendous scenic lookouts are scattered all throughout Branson. One of the most popular scenic lookouts in Branson is located on highway 165 near Table Rock Damn. If your out and about in Branson looking for free things to do, then pull on over if you pass this beautiful scenic lookout. You will be glad that you did.
Ralph Foster Museum at the College of the Ozarks : Another cheap attraction for the family is the Ralph Foster Museum. Remember that old Beverly Hillbillies car? The original car is on display, along with an awesome collection of Ozarks history. You may walk away quite surprised at how many ways the Ozarks has contributed to American history.
Hiking and Biking trails : There are many biking trails scattered all throughout the Branson area. If your looking for some free entertainment, you enjoy nature, and would like to walk off a few calories that you undoubtedly packed on at one of Branson's fine restaurants, then taking a relaxing walk on a hiking trail could be for you!

So you can see, you can spend an entire afternoon in one of America's top tourist destinations without spending too much money. So if your coming to Branson, and are looking for some cheap and free things to do, I hope you keep some of these attractions in mind.

I was fortunate enough to go to a Moe Bandy show about 9 years ago. I took my Grandmother and my then 3 year old daughter. (she's 12 now. Please help! lol) The show was wonderful. I went without expectations. I was just trying to show my family a nice time. I left the show with an awestruck smile. My beloved G-Ma and precious little girl were captivated. I was as well. Not only for Moe's talent, but also for the way he brought 4 generations to attention in a seemingly effortless way.

Considering that I go to Branson shows and write reviews and comments for a living (just started this venture this year), I found it necessary to see Moe Bandy and had wishfull hope that he was as superb as I recalled in my recollecting mind. I wasn't disappointed. Moe Bandy is still at the top of his game.

One of the things that impressed me is the talent of those that he has on stage alongside him. The band was absolutely FABULOUS! What stood out for me was the drummer in Moe Bandy's band! The drummer of a band too often is a little under appreciated. You can't necessarily see the drummer in the forefront and unfortunately their God given talent isn't talked about in many reviews. I want to give this man his "kudo's". When you see the show, you will understand. Truly a talented and nice individual (I was blessed enough to shake his hand and have a short conversation after the show).

Moe Bandy is why people pay for their tickets to see the show. What you don't see on that admission ticket is the outrageously gifted vocal talents that you are also privy to witness. One singer in particular is a stunning blonde vocalist that has her chance to shine and does so like the rising sun! I had the chance to meet her as well after the show, and she was nothing but humble, and seemingly embarrassed by everyone's adoration. A beautiful and talented young woman.

Talking Rocks Caverns is located at 423 Fairy Cave Lane, Branson West, MO 65737 just off of highway 13. You follow highway 76 out of Branson and follow 76 (past Silver Dollar City) all the way to highway 13. Take a left on highway 13 and follow that road a few miles and your there! There are billboard signs to help navigate you to the location.
