Hi Gary,

Thanks to you and Dino for such a comprehensive and informative cooking lesson. Of course, now I'm dying to know what you use onion powder for ;-)

I also cook by "eyeballing" and I sniff. If I'm making something that's come out a tad on the bland side, I find it particularly helpful to taste a bit of whatever it is while simultaneously sniffing the spices I have on hand (one at a time). This has identified a few bad combinations for me.
