Character Design - Futuristic Haseo

Come up with this sketches in less than an hour. Done in a hurry last night cause i was really sleepy and I need a new design. I decided to keep the first original design for my next manga. I already have the story I just need the characters. The rough colors takes me about half a day, I get mental block the other half. A lesson to learn, lack of sleep cause nausea and mental block if not just mental. Nothing fancy but I guess this is just not it. I don't mind because I didn't fail, I found more ways to improve my character concept design. Where did I heard this phrase before?? I think I saw it from Jackie Chan movie.

Daniel Version 2 - rough

Ah well, rebuilding Daniel instead of Jason. He is after all one of the main characters in my story. Kinda feel sad for him. He didn't get a chance to be exposed in the manga challenge. It's now time for me to rebuild his friends Jason and Brian's little twin brother and sister.

My new and first online manga project!

I was to create a mascot for an upcoming event held by my company, a manga challenge. However my first 3 character was rejected. Feeling sorry and a little attached I'm going to recycle this character for my own online manga. The story revolve around a group of teenager from a different background. I'm going to focus the story from their point of view and how they tackles problems together. Hopefully this story will give a good impression to our local teenager how to live their life in a more positive attitude and hopefully give them hope that life isn't a horrible place to live like it is portrayed in some manga i've read. I still have to clean up the character design on Jason though, I think his hairstyle and his look deosn't show much of the personality that I wanted. Hopefully I will be able to execute this project soon. I am a little busy with my work atm. Ganbatte me!!! Hopefully I will make it!!!

Btw, our company manga challenge will begin around June 2008 so to all aspiring mangaka in malaysia don't forget to participate. Jia you!

Tab Kids Review

My nose so itchy after eating the nasi lemak. I'm allergic to anchovies.. and chicken. Hahahahaha...

Anyway here's the review of the software. It's fun and the GUIs not just friendly but also very eye candy. Now this software is targeted at young kids I think about the average age of 6 - 9 years old. It's an animation software but also a great drawing tools for kids.

Kids are also able to export their files to their hand phones (mobile) and screen saver as well. Ain't that cool kids?

What I really like about the software is the ability to control the thickness of the lines using pump tools. Now Tab also have a more professional software which is the TAB 3.0 and a new product called Tab Manga which is quite similar to Tab Kids except and added feature for arranging the comic panels.
