He works with clients including ntl:Telewest Business, AdMob, Sinequa and Aastra.

In 2008 Matthew took part in an online internship with marketing guru Seth Godin. The innovative internship saw him collaborate with nearly one hundred other marketing students from around the world on projects to promote the Squidoo.com knowledge sharing website.

In 2007 he carried out four months of work experience with the lovely people at Concept Communications, a public relations consultancy in Southport. During his placement Matthew worked with big clients ranging from Makro, to Barratt Homes, writing and distributing press releases as well as researching journalists and compiling media lists. He created and edited content for client magazines and produced coverage reports.

Matthew studied Public Relations with Media at the University of Huddersfield. At University he was actively involved with the student newspaper, Huddersfield Student. He started the quirky Smelia Dith cookery column, which he wrote in addition to a number of other articles, ranging from the plight of intensively farmed chickens to the launch of a new University initative. As part of his studies, Matthew implemented innovative marketing campaigns that made good use of viral videos, podcasts, blogs, social networking sites and guerilla PR stunts. At one point he even got interviewed by Bailrigg FM in Lancaster!

In those brief moments when Matthew is not updating his blog or at work, he is often relaxing with a nice, hot cup of Earl Grey tea.

Matthew would love to tell you about his passion for the Mighty Boosh, that incident with the z-list celebrity in Germany, and which TV chef was the inspiration* for his Smelia Dith cookery column but unfortunately he's run out of space.
