We prowled up and down the coast from Santa Barbara to K38 looking for the elusive perfect wave for our 10 foot boards. He drove a classic Ford "Woodie" station wagon, and like most aspiring surfers, was consumed by the sport and the life style. Later, career and family commitments pulled many of us away from the "life", but not DC. When time permitted, I would escape my obligations and DC was always there to join in and help me relive the wonderful times sitting just outside the break, looking for the "set wave", and watching the sun set. He is a unique and legendary surfer because of his total life dedication to the sport. He lives on in my memory.<BR/>Richard WehmeyerAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6454904.post-78871027387820956242007-05-18T18:59:00.000-07:002007-05-18T18:59:00.000-07:00I had the pleasure of working with and knowing DC ...I had the pleasure of working with and knowing DC and We had many good times together.
