I have been eagerly anticipating this release since I heard about it months ago....I can't explain the lightness I feel when reading or listening to any of Abraham's teachings. Spiritual Audio

Even though I am an avid book lover, I don't always find the time to sit down and actually read through an entire book....I actually keep stacks of half-read books all around me and I love knowing they are there when I need them. So, a great alternative for me is audio. Whenever I am driving in the car (which is everyday, at least an hour) I can listen to my favorite spiritual authors and speakers (over and over again, if I want) and expand my consciousness while on the road. And with the ever-increasing availability of MP3 downloads, it's even easier! You can store tons of audio books and programs on your Ipod and take them with you to the gym, on your morning run, or play them on your way to work.

I recently had the honor and delight of meeting an amazing woman, Pat Rodegast, who has been channeling a most loving being, Emmanuel, for 37 years. I found Emmanuel's book in a San Francisco bookstore last February and fell in love with the simplicity and beauty of the message. Having been a Course in Miracles and Abraham student for years, I found Emmanuel's teachings complementary and yet almost a combination of all the spiritual truths I have come to love. Being able to sit with Emmanuel and ask questions was a truly enlightening and joy-full experience.

Well, we just returned from another amazing Abraham-Hicks live workshop and I must say, I am once again overwhelmed by the powerful, uplifting message.....wow! It never ceases to amaze me how people with the most serious and intense questions end up saying how much lighter they feel-and you can visibly see them shifting as Abraham gently guides them to a new perspective. It is a phenomenon to behold and witness.

This is the 3rd installment of "What's in your In-Box?" I love to share when I find a great website that offers inspiring or informative messages. A newsletter that I just started receiving is from a website called "In Light Times" which is a spiritual/metaphysical publication that you can subscribe to for free. They also offer a hard copy subscription that comes in the mail for a fee.

I have really been enjoying the articles in the newsletter and you can search the article archives directly from the site. Lots of great stuff! Some featured authors are Wayne Dyer, Alan Cohen, James Ray, Gregg Braden, Marianne Williamson, and many others I'm just discovering.

The Intention Experiment

I just received a very interesting e-mail from Wayne Dyer regarding an experiment conducted in March based on the work of Lynne McTaggart, who wrote the 'The Field' and was featured in the movie, "What The Bleep Do We Know?"
Her new book is called 'The Intention Experiment' and features the results of an experiment where 400 people in London set an intention for a leaf to glow 6,000 miles away in an Arizona labaratory. This site sends out "daily inspiration" articles featuring many well-known and not-so-well known authors, all with a link to the author's other articles or books. I sometimes have a hard time keeping up with reading them, as some are quite long, but the content is usually of very good quality. I've been introduced to many great authors and found some wonderful books through this site.
It's worth a look if you enjoy reading a variety of inspirational/holistic/spiritual topics.

New Abraham DVD's

There are 2 new DVD sets from Esther and Jerry Hicks featuring the teachings of Abraham, now available through amazon.com.

The first one is called "The Law of Attracion in Action," which is a taping of a workshop held in Los Angeles in February of 2006. It is a 2-DVD set and is approx. 4 hours total; I have watched it several times now and get something new each time I view it. The content covers many topics including: cleaning up your vibration, all healers are teachers, anger is better than depression, the non-resistance of animals, and having patience. A wonderful example of the Abraham workshop experience and of course, lots of laughter!

The second one is called "The Secret Behind the Secret" and was just released in April. I had incorrectly assumed that it would address the issue of how the producers of "The Secret" DVD were inspired by the teachings of Abraham. Instead, it is an in-depth interview with Esther and Jerry that was taped in 2004 and also includes a dialogue with Abraham that covers some deep, thought-provoking topics. The second disc includes more background on Jerry's life and it's quite obvious he enjoys telling stories! :-)
Esther and Jerry have been teaching the Law of Attraction for over 20 years and are very open about how Abraham came into their lives. If you are interested in the story behind the phenomenon that is Abraham, then you can't miss this one.

Spiritual Cinema Circle

A friend just reminded me of a wonderful service called the Spiritual Cinema Circle, which is a program that sends out a new DVD each month containing 4 different films (feature-length, shorts, etc.) You join for $21 a month and you get to keep the DVD's! So nothing to return and no late fees, which enables you to build a wonderful spiritual video library.

I can't say every movie is a winner, but there are some gems that you won't find anywhere else and I think it's a great opportunity to support this type of film-making. If you want to see more open-minded, non-mainstream movies being made, then this is a great way to encourage that!

Wayne Dyer on PBS

Dr. Wayne Dyer, who is probably the most well-known and loved motivational speaker and inspirational author, will be taping his next PBS special in San Diego, CA on Wednesday, May 23rd. His latest work is called "Change Your Thoughts—Change Your Life: Living the Wisdom of the Tao" and is based on the ancient Chinese Book of The Way, the Tao De Ching.
I have seen him in person three times and he is a fantastic speaker who really connects with his audience with humor and warmth. He is the 'real deal.'

I just received a notice that Esther and Jerry Hicks, who present the teachings of Abraham, will be on Oprah & Friends XM satellite radio (channel 156).

If you are a spiritual seeker and are not familiar with the Science of Mind material, then I highly encourage you to investigate these beautiful teachings. I was first exposed to SOM several years ago through their monthly magazine which has now been in publication for over 80 years. I was drawn to the uplifting and thought-provoking articles and the daily readings as well (I read the "Daily Guides" section each morning.)

Science of Mind is "a philosophy, a faith, and a way of life" that was founded by Dr. Ernest Holmes who lived from 1887-1960. He was a brilliant philosopher and has written several books including the text called "Science of Mind." His teachings evolved into the United Church of Religious Science (not to be confused with Christian Science) that has churches in 37 states, many of which are on the west coast. (I am hopeful that one day there will be one in the New England area!)

I just checked out a fun website called TUT's "The Adventurer's Club" from Mike Dooley who is an author/speaker that was featured in "The Secret." I love the light, fun energy of this site with a treasure map for the homepage and many great features:

TUT stands for "Totally Unique Thoughts" and originally started as a T-shirt business; it has evolved into an online empire with the credo:

**This is a new blog feature that I intend to update regularly. **

What's in your "inbox" says a lot about who you are and what interests you have.....you may have guessed by my blog title that I receive many spiritually-based e-mails. I love finding out what's new and receiving quotes, newsletters, and announcements from some of my favorite authors, teachers, and websites. There is no shortage of this stuff, that's for sure!
But if you want to save yourself the trouble of researching, I will be posting various options and descriptions to help you wade through it all and find e-mail that will uplift, encourage, inform, and inspire!

What's wonderful about Alan's daily quotes is that they aren't only fabulous messages, but they are short, sweet, and have no advertising/fluff/offers, etc. That is keeping it simple!
The monthly newsletters include short stories, quotes, questions/answers, and a listing of Alan's upcoming events, workshops, and e-classes. I can't say enough about Alan's work and knowing him personally, he truly does walk his talk and live his truth. I will always be grateful for his teachings!

This is usually more like a paragraph than a quote, which I love, and is an excerpt from one of the live workshops based on the Law of Attraction. The Secret Is Out!

"The Secret" DVD based on the Law of Attraction has become so immensely popular, it is being featured again tonight on Larry King Live for the THIRD time! Larry is calling this "Beyond Positive Thinking" and the past two times he featured this topic, the show received an incredible response.

Oprah Winfrey also featured "The Secret" on two separate shows in February and publicly stated that "this is how I've been living my life for years."

Ellen Degeneres had Bob Proctor and John Assaraf from "The Secret" on her show back in December and also stated that she lives her life by these principles.

I am a big fan of magazines because I LOVE getting stuff in the mail....especially spiritually-minded catalogs, magazines, and workshop listings. There are many great, informative, and enlightening periodicals these days and the list just keeps growing....we just signed up for a new one called "Pure Inspiration" and just received the premier Fall 2006 issue which included articles from Marianne Williamson, Masaru Emoto (Messages From Water), Napoleon Hill, and Paramahansa Yogananda, just to name a few. I've got a Secret!

If you haven't seen the movie "The Secret" yet, you owe it to yourself to check it out! This documentary-style DVD offers a wonderful explanation of the Law of Attraction presented by several respected authors, speakers, and successful business people. When I first saw it, I was so excited that this material was being delivered in such a clear and easy to understand manner and also that so many people were going to be exposed to it. I was aleady familiar with the concepts but I "get it" at a deeper level each time I watch it....I know from experience how powerful the Law of Attraction is as I've seen it work in my life over and over again. I am SO grateful to have found this amazing gift!

The website for the Secret is http://thesecret.tv and it's a really fun, interactive site. You can download the entire movie to your computer or order the DVD, you can read about all the speakers from the film, or subscribe to the Secret newsletter. (I love this as they send you the latest info about the film's success and the plans for the sequel to be released next year.)

And just to show how powerful the film's message is and how much it is spreading, the speakers were featured on TWO separate Larry King Live programs in November, and were guests on the Ellen Degeneres Show on December 1st.

I love going to workshops so much, I wish I could make a career out of it! I would love to travel the world and attend every class, workshop, or seminar that interests me....how fun would that be? I did go to Fiji this summer for a week-long workshop with Alan Cohen (which was fabulous), so I guess I'm already living my dream. :-)

"Abraham high"

I have been reading and listening to the Abraham material so much lately, and getting so much out of it, that I call it the "Abraham high." The message has such an uplifting and empowering quality to it, that I just feel better hearing Esther's voice....to me it is not "new" material in that many spiritual traditions have taught similar truths, from the Bible to the Science of Mind material to New Thought authors of the early 20th century, but the Hicks have been able to share these teachings in a simple way through their best-selling books, workshops, audio, and interactive website.
