The world's largest mobile company, plans to install Linux software next year. The Finnish Firm has started to invest on Internet in recent years. The company has taken a stand in taking a key role in cell phone battle with Apple iPhone. Nokia Linux Maemo operating system is seen as a key for the top cellphone maker in the battle against Apple's iPhone, and many analysts and industry player have expected to roll out numerous Linux model already next year. Nokia started its first Linux Cellphone, the top of the range 0of the mobile is Nokia N900.

'Nokia need to work on Symbian and they have to hit the product' said Gartner Analysts Carolina Milanesi. The Maemo operating system will be updated in 2010, with full Qt technology which enables software developer to create application for different operating system, i phone like touchscreen and tighter integration of Nokia.

'Launching one Maemo phone is not a big deal for nokia when Nokia can develop iPhone without standout design' said Analyst Neil Mawton on Wednesday. Nokia's competitor Samsung gave up unbeat forecast 2009 mobile phone sales on Monday due to sharp growth in touch screen mobile phones. On Wednesday Nokia marketing head said that' Company has no plans to sell their manufacturing plants. He added that , 'logisticand manufacturing are an important and a core part of business and we have no plans to change till date.'

Nokia shares closed 1.1 percent lower at 8.77 euro in Helsinki, and outperforming a 1.6 percent weaker Dow Stoxx European Technology Index.

Suzuk i Motorcycles India is mulling over to roll out a new 150cc bike in India by 2010. Apart from this, the company is also planning to introduce a new gearless scooter by 2011. The bike of Suzuki will be priced at around 40,000 just like Suzuki Zeus and Suzuki Heat. The company is also thinking over to launch another superbike.

VP (sales and marketing), Suzuki Motor, Atul Gupta, told that the company has started a feasibility study prior to launch its second gearless scooter in India by 2011. On the other hand, the yet-to-launch 150cc bike would be priced keeping value for money in mind. He confirmed that at least two products will be introduced by next fiscal. Already, Suzuki has two superbikes, Suzuki Hayabus1300cc and Suzuki Intruder 1700cc in its portfolio.

HTC all set to launch Brew MP-Based phones

Mobile phone maker,HTC Corporation,the first company to manufacture and launch devices powered by Google Android platform and the largest marketer of smartphones that run Microsoft's Windows Mobile Operating system is getting ready to release a Brew MP-based device which was speculated to be launched late 2009,will now be launched in the early 2010.

Industry sources have revealed the delay in original plan to launch the mobile phone was to bring to the market Qualcomm's Brew Mobile platform.The company will now launch a series of its phones with high end features which will be expected to reach the US via wireless carrier Sprint.

“The delays were caused by the Brew's relatively immature application service platform offering for telecom carriers, said the sources, noting that Qualcomm is currently cooperating with a number of mobile software developers to work on dedicated applications for the Brew platform including a Java virtual machine, customized wed browser, mobile community services, multimedia management and GPS services, among others,” DigiTimes reported.

It was rumoured that the first MP-based mobile phones would be available via Verzion Wireless and Sprint Nextel which holds true for the current plan.Qualcomm recently announced that it was working with a line of software developers for the building of applications for its OS.However no specific details, as to when the Brew phones will reach the market, have been given out.

Honda to showcase 100cc bike in Auto Expo

The bike lovers of the country will see a new 100cc bike from Honda in Auto Expo 2010, Delhi. The bike has been in development process for three years and aims to grab the most of the share in growing 100cc class. According to HMSI's operating head, sales and marketing, N.K. Rattan, the bike will be displayed in Auto Expo, 2010. He added that the new bike will be launched by the end of the current financial year. Rattna said that the company intends to export the new bike and hope to see awesome from Indian customers. The bike is learnt to be exported in a few Latin American and Asian nations. So far, there were no competition for Kawasaki Ninja 250 R in India. But if new reports are believed, Hyosung, Korean manufacturer, to introduce its Hyosung GT250 R in India. The motorcycle is sure to give stiff competition to Bajaj's new offering, Kawasaki Ninja 250R it is expected to introduce it with a similar kind of price tag. It might be priced around Rs 2.25 lakh to Rs 3 lakh. Earlier, Kinetic group launched Comet GT250 R in 2005 with a price tag of 1.8 lakh.

The new Hyosung GT 250 R will be powered by a oil cooled DHOC, 4 valve, 90° V-twin with a displacement of 250cc. The smart power mill is supposed to belt out 27 Hp at 10500 rpm and the peak torque is 16.73 lb/ft at 8000 rpm. It sports five gear system.

Tata Motors gave new birth to its existing child, Tata Indigo, and christened it as Tata Manza. The luxury car, Tata Manza , has everything to woo the Indian customers. As we reached the showroom, Roshan Motors-Jaipur, there were lot of customers enquiring for the new launch. Some feeling it by touching and a few just getting technical and other details.

The car is sure to fill the space vacated by Tata Indigo as Tata Motors is going to phase out the model. Only a few variants will be seen in market as a token.

It is very clear by a birds eye view of the car that the new avatar is larger than the phasing out model. The dimension of the car is-length-4413 mm, width-1703 mm and height is 1550 mm. The maximum fuel tank capacity of Tata Indigo, Manza is 44 litres.

The appearance of the luxury product is awesome and reflect the GM's DNA. In fact, the name Cruze proves its worth in real way. This is obvious with its exterior and interior looks. After gazing the overall appearance, I got into the car and steering was at my hand. The seating posture is just same as Honda Civic or a real sports car. The company equipped the car with adjustable steering. You can fix it on manual mode, tilt and telescoping mode. Apart form this, driver seat is adjustable for different sized people. As a result, driver can adjust legroom and headroom with these advanced features.

The seating is comfortable for the driver the systems that is described earlier works well. The sound of the engine do not give an impression of a diesel engine. In fact, it seems that we are driving a petrol engine car. The gear shifting is butter smooth and pick-up is awesome. Pick-up is impressive in any gear even the third gear is enough after a slight braking. The sedan is dam smooth in curves and runs like a sports vehicle.

The riding experience is just like driving coupe car. Braking system is sensitive and halt the four wheeler immediately with the help of four wheel disc brake. Jerks and jolts would not trouble you as the suspension works in a fine way to avoid feel of shaking. The car is equipped with McPherson strut type front fork and rear one is U-shaped suspension with torsion beam gas charged shock absorbers ensure a smooth and comfortable ride on any terrain. New Tata Manza by Tata Motors

Tata Motors, the leading auto manufacturer of the country, has launched its much awaited and ambitious Tata Manza in Mumbai. This launch is the new model of Tata Indigo. Tata Motors Chairman Ratan Tata unveiled the festival gift for the customers. The entry-level sedan

has been launched in four variants- Aura (ABS), Aqua, Aura and Aura plus. The base petrol version is priced between Rs 4.8 lakh and the high end diesel version has a price tag of Rs 6.75 lakh. It comes in seven stunning shades.

Tata Motors officials informed the reporters at the launch that existing variants of Tata Indigo, Tata Indigo Marina, Tata Indigo XL and Tata Indigo CS, would be sold side by side. Tata Indigo, launched in December 2002, has seen a great success in the entry-level sedan segment till 2008. Since launch, 275,000 units of the Tata Indigo were sold. Tata Manza is developed on the Tata Indica Vista platform and the company has invested Rs 2,000 crore to make the platform. Company officials denied the idea of developing electric version of the new launch. Tata Manza is available with a 2 years or 75,000 kms, whatever completes first. The sedan is powered by Fiat's 90 hp Quadrajet diesel and saffire petrol engines

. The length, width and wheelbase are- 4.4m, 1.7m and 2,520mm, respectively.

General Motors Chevrolet Cruze in India

General Motors launched its much awaited luxury sedan Chevrolet Cruze in India on 12th October. The car's 2.0 litre petrol engine variant is launched initially. The 1.8 litre petrol engine variant will be launched in the months to come. The prices of the car starts from Rs 10.99 lakh. The high end variant is priced at Rs 12.45 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Chevrolet Cruze is pitted against Skoda Octavia, Honda Civic and Toyota Corolla. As per the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI) standards, the car would give a fine fuel economy of 18.3 kmpl.

The company also informed that a mini car would be introduced by the end of the current year. The yet-to-launch small car is christened as Beat and developed on the same platform. This mini car would be having a price tag of Rs 4 lakh. Apart from this, General Motors small car Chevrolet Spark with a 800cc petrol mill would be launched in 2010. According to news reports, over 1100 units of the sedan already booked across the nation.

GM India had also said that it would go ahead with the launch of its long-expected mini car, named and developed on 'Chevrolet Beat' platform by end of this year. The car is expected to be priced around Rs 4 lakh. Besides, GM India has also geared up to introduce its small car Chevrolet Spark with a 800cc petrol engine in 2010.

Ninja 250R in India

Bajaj is all prepared to launch its new offering, Kawasaki Ninja 250 R, in India. The price of this bike will be declared at the time of launch at around 1 pm today. However, the expected price tag may fall between Rs 1.5 lakh to Rs 2 lakh. The specifications and other silent features are already there on the company site. This will increase the number of bikes launched in India during the festival season. The two-wheelers which were launched during the festival season are- Yamaha VMAX, Hero Honda Karizma ZMR PGM Fi, Mahindra Rodeo and Mahindra Duro. Apart from this, limited edition of Yamaha Fazer, Yamaha FZS and Yamaha FZ16 were launched in India.

Ninja 250 R to hit Indian roads on Oct 7

The wait for Bajaj's new product on the festival season seems to be over now. The company recently said that Kawasaki Ninja 250 R will, now, be launched on October 7. This completely built unit is expected to be priced between Rs 1.50 lakh to Rs 2 lakh in India. Ninja 250 R will sport a liquid cooled, parallel twin, DHOC power mill with the displacement of 249cc. The entry level sports machine churns a maximum power of 30 bhp at 10500 rpm and a maximum torque of 21Nm at 9500 rpm.

The Ninja 250 R sports 290 mm front hydraulic disc brake (front) and 220 mm petal disc brake at rear. As announced earlier by Bajaj, the Ninja 250 R will be sold through Bajaj showroom located across India. The Kawasaki Ninja 250 R will be available in four different body colours-Lime Green, Passion Red, Candy Plasma Blue and Ebony. The company registered a 14.62 per cent sales growth in the last month. It sold 2,49,133 units of two-wheelers in September as compared to 2,17,365 units in the same month last year.

Bajaj about 71,000 units of Bajaj Discover DTS-Si in September. In addition to this, the company also sold 56,000 units of Bajaj Pulsar. Recently Mahindra two wheelers also launched its two products in market-Mahindra Duro and Mahindra Rodeo.
