Too bad Canaan Bound wasn't able to be there though...but it was great anyway. This month (other than us of course, The Bryants) The Revelators and The Missourians were there, and another lady who did a great job on The Star Spangled Banner and a patriotic medley, (it WAS the day before Independence Day after all)!
We started it, the singing part anyway, (there was a little bit of talking before hand), then The Revelators took over. Brother John Hile and Clayton Watson from the group MCed the whole thing. The Revelators did a really good job, AS USUAL! lol...
Then, the "main" guest group, I guess you'd call them, The Missourians sang! Of course, we'd heard them before, sung "with" them too, but they still are amazing! I love their harmony and energy and everything! Ha ha! Seriously, if you EVER get the chance to see EITHER of those groups, don't pass up the chance! You'll truly be blessed!

Well, I'd better get to the other blogs!

Hope y'all have a Blessed and Safe day!

Love y'all,
~Carol Lynn~

George Bryantnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6375712889044933758.post-53373371403496475082009-06-29T23:34:00.007-06:002009-06-30T00:06:36.639-06:00GPG singing, Friday and Saturday singing June 26 & 27, 2009Friday night there were several artists who did a great job singing, or playing, or whatever it is that they did. It's a pleasure getting to hear a lot of them sing. Yes, we sang too, but I like to hear the others sing too!! AND, my brother, sister-in-law and new little nephew...David, Jayla, and Joseph, respectively, were able to make it down on Friday as well.
And Saturday, we had a marvelous day as well. We started off with the Songwriters Showcase, a time for the Songwriters to Showcase their songs...hints the name. There's always interesting songs being written, some powerful, some fun...some funny, all sorts! A great way to get a song you might want to sing yourself possibly??? I don't completely know though, some of the writers might now want others to sing their songs, while others would be happy for someone to come along and pick up their song...you'd just have to come to one and ask them yourselves!
And then in the evening we had a "groups night" but really, there's some soloists too! lol. So, next month...last full weekend of the month, come on to Branson, and maybe even bring somebody with you and you won't be disappointed! :-)

Well, gotta go!

Love y'all,
~Carol Lynn~

George Bryantnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6375712889044933758.post-83415524276519614512009-06-29T23:27:00.002-06:002009-06-29T23:34:21.912-06:00Maranatha Village June 9th, 2009We had, yet, ANOTHER good singing at this nursing home. We always enjoy getting to minister to these people. A lot of the same people come, and there's always a few new people as well! This month, we sang the 7 songs I wrote that we're singing, the 2 George wrote, the 1 mom wrote, and then the second "half" of the program we sang older songs.

Well, best be getting...
Love y'all,
~Carol Lynn~

George Bryantnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6375712889044933758.post-46076616260410596602009-06-29T22:58:00.004-06:002009-06-29T23:27:24.535-06:00Carthage, MO June 5, 2009Another great night with some more good friends! This month there was Glory Bound as the main special guests, and they did an amazing job! Of course, Canaan Bound and we sang too. It was a pretty special night.

Next month, though, Canaan Bound will be on the road singing somewhere while we're here along with The Revelators and The Missourians! Although we'll miss Canaan Bound, we're looking forward to seeing to seeing the other 2 groups!
Remember, every month, the Carthage, "Canaan Bound and Friends" singing, is at Fairview Christian Church, it's the old Wal*Mart building. Next month it'll be on July 3rd, 2009. Hope to see you all there!

Hope y'all have a safe and blessed day!

Love y'all,
~Carol Lynn~

George Bryantnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6375712889044933758.post-48991248321484867812009-06-29T22:06:00.006-06:002009-06-29T22:56:16.273-06:00Brookline Baptist Church April 19, 2009Yes, you read that right! I'm just NOW getting to an April concert blog! lol. Sorry, getting so slow to these, but I'm slowly...but SURELY getting there! Ha ha!
OK...NOW, Brookline Baptist Church seemed to be a really good church. We almost didn't get to sing though, if it'd not been for Harry Clark. He has a business to help handy capped people/people in wheelchairs around places they couldn't otherwise. We couldn't have really been able to get there any other way, so we're really thankful for him! (George had broken his leg already by then, I may write about that too...)
We had a pretty good service that night. Brother Dan Swadley, who also works at KWFC as a DJ sometimes, is the music pastor there, so George knew him (of course), so they got a time for us to sing there, and then...yeah! We did! lol. We sang around 30 minutes or so, and then the Pastor preached. Brother Mitch Wright is the pastor there, and I really enjoyed hearing his sermon!

Well, I'd better be getting to another blog! Need to catch up!

Hope you all have a Great, Safe, and Blessed day!

Love y'all,
~Carol Lynn~

George Bryantnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6375712889044933758.post-16053759570167575592009-06-20T15:32:00.003-06:002009-06-20T17:07:23.740-06:00The Talley Trio June 7th, 2009WOW!! OK, I don't know how many blogs I start out like that, but it's so very true!! The Talley Trio did an amazing job a couple weeks ago at Broadway Baptist Church here in Springfield, Missouri! There was a packed house that night, as it has been every time we've been there! If you live somewhere nearby there, and are looking for a church, Broadway seems to be a great church! I've never actually been there for an actual Church service, only for concerts, but you might check and out! Yo may even like it!
Back to the actual concert...The Talley Trio was just plain amazing. That's all there is to it! lol. When we got there, George in his wheelchair, mom and I/me, whichever is proper, were right behind him, saw Debra at the table. We got to talk to her a little bit, (well, I didn't really, but mom and George did though). She was really sweet. The greeters at the door helped us find a place to sit with George in his wheelchair, and they even moved some stuff if they had to (without being rude to others of course!) George also got to talk to Roger before the concert as well.
It was a blessed concert indeed from the beginning to the end! They sang some of my absolute favorite songs of theirs, like "His Life For Mine" and "The Broken Ones". Both of those are powerful songs, (well, to me they are anyway!)

Well, I'd better get started on another one! Ha ha

Hope you all have a safe and blessed day!

Love y'all,
~Carol Lynn~

George Bryantnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6375712889044933758.post-78005893816267266962009-04-21T11:02:00.012-06:002009-06-20T15:14:18.437-06:00GPG 4/17/09WOW!! I know, I start off a lot of blogs like that, but it's only an understatement of what I wish I really could say! We had an amazing time at the Praise Gathering this month! There were a few artists that were new to me, but very impressive! And of course, there were a lot of "regulars" as well! Artists who were there are Randy Plummer, GPG Trio, Sally Niner, (us), Charles Ross, Carol S. How, Miss Keely, Gary Eaton, Marlene Pelt, Rich & Anna Maria, The Lakins, Jaimee Brewster, Ginger Boles, Julie ReneƩ, Phyllis and Pastor Taylor, Brian Pendergrass, 4 His Glory, and John Hernandez. Yes, there were quite a few, but it's more like a "Gaither Homecoming" kind of setting, if you know what I mean by that. If you don't, well, you'll just have to come to one to figure out what I mean, :).
We had a night full of laughter (especially when Randy Plummer got there, lol) singing, fellowship, and even a few tears I believe.
The ones I already know were awesome like ALWAYS! :)
But the new ones...hmm, they were great too! Miss Keely, she's so cute, and she has pretty good pitch and a pretty good voice for her age...(I can't remember for sure, sorry, something like 4-8). Rich and Anna Maria...what can I say about them! They were completely amazing!~Rich, an awesome singer, and Anna Maria, wow! I believe she's the next Sandi Patti!! lol. And Phyllis and Pastor Taylor, I liked the song they sang too.

George was able to go to the Friday night singing, but not the Saturday singing, because it just hurt too bad to get back into the car. So you won't find a blog about Saturday night this time... :( But Lord-willing, we'll get back down there very, very soon!

OK, be checking more often, because we really are starting to get busy a little anyway again! Sorry we haven't (mostly me...) been updating like we should, but I'll try my best to write blogs soon after the events!! And try to keep you updated on what's just happening to all of us, George in particular right now, health wise!

Check back soon!

Hope y'all have a safe and blessed day!

Love y'all,
~Carol Lynn~

George Bryantnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6375712889044933758.post-46743792679297071812009-03-19T13:01:00.011-06:002009-04-16T11:22:53.944-06:00Baptist Home In Ozark Feb. 24, 2009Wow, I was just putting the date on the title...can you believe it's 2009 already? Man, time really does go by fast!
To the nursing home...it's always a true blessing to be able to sing at nursing homes. OldER people are usually really neat to converse with. But you know, they a lot of times get pretty lonely out in nursing homes. I guess, if I lived in a nursing home, I'd like people to come and visit me once in a while! But, many of them are so used to being able to go to Church each time there's a service, and now they don't quite get that opportunity. So, that's what we're trying to do is give them the opportunity to come worship with us...once a...month. We know, church is usually more than once a month, but we can't do 4 nursing homes every week, along with everything else! :/ Anyway, so we sing every (Lord-willing) 4Th Tuesday at the Baptist Home in Ozark at 6:30 I believe... :)

Hope you all have a BLESSED and SAFE day!

Love y'all,
~Carol Lynn~
The Bryants

George Bryantnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6375712889044933758.post-7901452110791776492009-03-06T01:31:00.009-06:002009-03-19T12:52:11.168-06:00The Booth Brothers, The Crist Family, and Roy Webb Feb. 20th, 2009Oh, WOW!! That night is what you call an AMAZINGLY WONDERFUL, HILARIOUS, EMOTIONAL, SPIRITUAL NIGHT!! Lol. It was great to say the least! The concert started with The Crist Family, then Roy Webb, and then The Booth Brothers closed out the first half. Then after the break, The Crist Family came up and sang, then Roy Webb AND The Booth Brothers came out onto the stage at the same time!
Well, The Crist Family is just truly sweet, talented people! That was the first time George, mom or I have seen them ever, and we weren't disappointed whatsoever! They were very impressive! Before the concert, when we were in the product room at High Street Baptist Church (HSBC) (all the product tables AND the KWFC table were in there, so we were in there because of our table), we got the chance to talk to some of The Crist Family before everyone started getting in there, and let me tell you what...they are very sweet people! :-) I know I may say this quite a bit, but it's true no matter how many times I say it, if you EVER get the chance to see them...GO SEE THEM! You won't be disappointed! Well, if you like Southern Gospel anyway! But anyway, back to the singing, yeah, they're great! He he
Roy Webb...oh goodness! What are we going to do with him?! lol. He's a nut and a half, but he's HILARIOUS! He's clean too...(I mean his jokes, but he himself was too, lol), We need more clean comedy now a days! You may know his name, but just in case you don't know quite who he is, he used to be the pianist for Ernie Haase and Signature Sound! And I'd have to agree with Roy...to those who ask who Signature Sound got to replace Roy...You CAN'T REPLACE ROY! Ha ha! Very True! And if you don't know what I mean...GO SEE HIM AS WELL! You'd understand what I mean once you saw him in person, and heard him tell his stories and all!
Then The Booth Brothers!! OK, I'll have to say, they have about the PUREST harmony you'll Ever hear! (The Crist Family has amazing harmony as well though, too!) They brought down the house within the first couple songs! Lol. The first half they sang, Roy Webb didn't play for them, but on the second half that they sang, Roy Webb came out and played the piano for them...that's when it became interesting...just kidding. But, it is really funny/FUN when Michael Booth and Roy Webb are up on stage at the same time! He he. One thing I can say about the Booth Brothers...kind of a testimony type thing for their sound, if you're not sure about them or whatever...we sang at a church that following Sunday morning and there were a couple of people there who had been at this concert I'm talking about. The lady was talking to the guy about how her daughter came with her, her daughter hadn't been into Southern Gospel until she moved to the Springfield area, and the Booth Brothers HAD HER with in the first song or two! Now, when you can say something like THAT about a group...they must have SOMETHING special! :)
Well, then I'd probably better get to working on some other things! BUSY! BUSY! BUSY! Lol.

Well, hope y'all have a safe and blessed day!

Love y'all,
~Carol Lynn~
The Bryants

George Bryantnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6375712889044933758.post-55172760616965076052009-03-06T00:23:00.003-06:002009-03-06T01:26:36.129-06:00Sunday morn/night Feb. 22, 2009WOW!! We had TWO (2) Amazing services! People are so sweet! (And no, not because we sang at both of the services! lol.)
We sang at 2 WONDERFUL Churches on ONE Sunday! We hadn't done that in a while, with us slowing quite a bit lately.
The first church we sang at, the one on Sunday morning was New Vision General Baptist Church. They have a really nice recently remodeled building, and you really need to check it out! It is in Taneyville, MO. They have really nice people there, and we were there for Sunday school as well as the main service! Of course the main service, since we had a "concert" for the service, but Sunday school was really good! Met a few people of course! There were even a couple of people who were at the concert the previous Friday night, which was The Booth Brothers, The Crist Family, and Roy Webb!
Then Sunday night we sang at some good friend's of ours church! The Lighthouse Messengers Church! They have Beacon Park just north of Harrison, AR! I always love being with them! They have an absolutely beautiful church building! Their church is just south of Beacon Park I believe, I mean, maybe a "block" or 2 is all! That was the first time to get to sing at either of those churches, well, for me and mom anyway! If you're looking for a church and you live in Taneyville, MO I suggest NVGBC (morning church) or if you live near/around Harrison, AR then definitely check out Miracle Lighthouse Church!

Well, Hope you ALL have a SAFE and BLESSED day!!

Love y'all!
~Carol Lynn~
The Bryants

George Bryantnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6375712889044933758.post-73280916722991078262009-03-06T00:13:00.004-06:002009-03-06T00:17:08.755-06:00Maranatha Feb. 10, 2009Had Another wonderful time at Maranatha last month, and looking forward to Lord-willing sing there again next Tuesday!
We always enjoy getting to see regulars as well as new faces at out little gatherings!

Well, hope y'all have a great day!

Love y'all!
~Carol Lynn~
The Bryants

George Bryantnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6375712889044933758.post-68375233036843105372009-02-14T12:00:00.011-06:002009-03-06T00:10:57.859-06:00BRIAN FREE AND ASSURANCE 2~13~2009Last Friday was truly a special day all together. First we went to Columbia to have a "check up" type thing with the Doctor who did George's knee surgery, and then we went and saw BRIAN FREE AND ASSURANCE!
First of all,as I said, we went up to Columbia for his 6 week check-up. It was actually a blessing, (not only because we were going to go see BF&A later that night either), because not too long after we got there...oh about 15 minutes or so, if that, some military personnel came in. I may not know their names, but it was neat...and then a little bit later, after George and mom went in to the doctor's room, (I stayed in the waiting room), a lady came by and sat by me. She reminded me so much of one of my Aunt's, there was just something about her looks, and then when we started talking to each other, her personality did as well (remind me of my Aunt). It was really cool, a lot "funner" I guess you can say to be at that hospital.
AND THEN, after we left there, we were on our way to see BRIAN FREE AND ASSURANCE(BFA)! OK, I know, I'm a little pathetic somewhat, but yeah, it was pretty awesome! He he.
There were other groups there as well, and they were good too! The first group that sang was a local group...they're actually from the church that the concert was at! The name of the first group was...well, still is, Heritage Baptist Singers, and the lead singer had an exceptional amazing voice! The next one's were some people we'd sang with before, The Kinchelo's. They have beautiful voices! And then the next one was Wayne True Love Quartet...Wayne is the one who brought BFA to the church! He was "in charge" of the singing. He has gotten together some AWESOME concerts...like with The Crabb Family, Gold City, and lots others!
AND THEN...
BRIAN FREE AND ASSURANCE! YAY! OK, wow. Just wow. You had to be there that night! They sang so many songs that you may know, like older songs...Dottie Rambo songs even! But, they also sang a couple new songs! All in all, if you EVER get the chance to see BFA...SEE THEM! :-D

I really hope y'all aren't too upset I'm not blogging everything right after these happen! I'm really trying! (Yes, really!)

OK, well, hope y'all have a very safe and blessed day!

Love y'all,
~Carol Lynn~
The Bryants

George Bryantnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6375712889044933758.post-33698830799721092612009-02-12T12:17:00.003-06:002009-02-12T12:30:22.004-06:00Nursing Home Ministry ExpansionWe, The Bryants, for 2 years have been going to Maranatha Village Nursing Home to sing on the 2ND Tuesday of each month. We always have such a great time and the people say they look forward to our coming each month. Many of these are folks who for many years have taught Sunday School, Preached, sang, and were involved with many activities of the Church, but health and various problems now keep them from being able to go to Church, so it's a real blessing to take a evening of singing and fellowship to them. We've made some great friends there at Maranatha.
Starting this month, we have decided to make every Tuesday night a ministry night to nursing homes except for the occasional 5Th Tuesday!
On the 1st Tuesday night, we go to Christian Health Care East in Springfield. On the 3rd Tuesday, we go to Joy Assisted Living. And on the 4Th Tuesday we go to the Baptist Home in Ozark Missouri.
We do this at no charge to the nursing homes. We've not been able to travel due to George's knee problems and surgery beginning of January. He was even able to make it up on the stage and kick his left leg and show the crowd how well he was doing! lol.
What a Great evening it was...weather was prefect and over 600 people came out to enjoy the music!
They started off with Canaan Bound, and they did a fantastic job, as always! Then great songwriter, Gary S. Paxton, (writer of Alley Oop and Monster Mash from years ago, and now that he's saved, he's written thousands of Gospel songs, in which many have been recorded by many of the top groups including his best known, "He Was There All The Time"), shared his testimony before he sang, and you've got to hear his testimony! We all appreciate and love Gary S. Paxton! Next was Nicola Wyatt from Oklahoma who sang her music/songs she's written. She has a low voice, and sings the country style. She an awesome singer and songwriter, and she writes some very profound songs...it's always interesting to hear her rhymes. Then Bill Burns came and sang a few of the songs from his pen...and of course, he had requests for That's Him, so he sang it! Anytime you ever hear Bill Burns in concert, you gotta make sure he sings that song! He wrote, and it was recorded by The Hoppers many years ago, and became a top hit. They recently rerecorded it as well! Many other groups have also recorded that song as well. He also wrote the song you all may have heard J.D. Sumner sing many a time, The Lord Still Lives In This Old House. Then Gary Paxton came back up and sang a couple more songs.
Then...we went up and sang! Yay! ha ha. We sang a new song that I wrote and one that Bill Burns wrote. It was interesting singing it in front of the one who wrote it.
Then Canaan Bound came back and closed out the evening with the classic The Lighthouse.
And on March the 6Th, Canaan Bound is having a big Gospel singing celebration for my 18Th birthday! Actually, it just happens to be on my birthday...but it's a nice thought!
As always, Canaan Bound will be there, as well as us...along with Duke Mason, Every body's favorite! He sounds like Elvis Presley so much so that the original Jouranaires has him come and do concerts with them!
And special guests for the night will be...The Lighthouse Messengers from Harrison, AR! If you remember, they are the host group of the biggest outdoor Gospel sing in Arkansas at Beacon Park just north of Harrison on 65! (The singing at Beacon Park is always held on the last weekend in July.)
For more information of the Canaan Bound and Friends concerts visit...

http://canaanbound.com/

Hope y'all have a safe blessed day!

Love y'all,
~Carol Lynn~

George Bryantnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6375712889044933758.post-75190142459255538972009-02-11T23:43:00.008-06:002009-02-12T11:46:09.120-06:00GPG 1~31~2009Saturday was just as good as Friday night! You really had to be there to get the actual full impact of both days! But, I'll do my best to tell you in order for you to know a little bit about what it was like. If you want to know what the night prior was like...read my last blog!
Well, to begin with, we had the Songwriter's Showcase on Saturday at I believe 4 o'clock. It went to around 5:45-6:15 or so...somewhere around there anyway!
As for who was all there...there were so many, I wasn't able to write them all down! There were mostly the same ones from Friday, but there were also a few different ones who sang. I'm sorry I didn't get their names...George didn't save the papers with their names on it, lol!
I, Carol Penick, even showcased my 2 new songs we've been working on!
Between the showcase and groups concert, we had a potluck fundraiser mainly due to the ice! It was too slick for everyone to go get something to eat between!
We, as always, had a great time of fellowship!
The groups concert started at 7PM and went to about 9:30 with a LOT of great singing, testimonies, and Praise and Worship!
If you're Ever looking for a place for the last weekend in a month where you can really feel the great blessings of The Lord and everyone makes you feel like Family...come join us at the Gospel Praise Gathering!

check out the website for concert listings and more info...

http://www.yettocomeproductions.com/

Hope you all have a Spectacular and blessed day!

Love y'all,
~Carol Lynn~

George Bryantnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6375712889044933758.post-13441257114541565132009-02-11T22:23:00.006-06:002009-02-11T23:40:02.158-06:00GPG 1~30~2009OK, OK, OK...I'm going to try to calm myself down BEFORE I get carried away! lol...just to let you all know...I had an AMAZING time last month in Branson, at our monthly Gospel Praise Gathering singing!
First off, we got there at the hotel, Ramada Inn, and get this, it was icy! It was kind of hard to get around, but that's only because they had had an ice storm a few days earlier. Other than the ice, it was really nice to stay there. My Grandma and Grandpa and Uncle Ralph and Aunt Marilyn (Sp?) also went with us...well, my uncle and aunt went in a different vehicle, but you get what I mean! Would've been a little bit too crowded to have everyone in the same van, along with suitcases and all too! ;)
But, anywho! Nonetheless, we had a great time at the gathering! With our Family, pretty close friends, we had a fantastic meeting with fellowship (of course) and singing and laughing and all there can be at a concert!
To get actually started finally, there were quite a few friends there, and made a few new friends...
The gathering was at the Ramada Conference Room, and if you have any questions as to where exactly that is, then you can go to the Ramada Inn and ask the people at the front desk.
As for who was there now...we had several people sing, as always, and the list of artists include Randy Plummer, John Hernandez, Bob & Judy Morse, The Lakins, us (of course), Charlie Norman, The GPG Trio, Jaimee Brewster, DK Brewster, Julie Renee', Tony Pippen, and last but not least, 4 His Glory.
The next meeting is planned for February 27 and Feb. 28, 2009.
I'm sorry, y'all that I've not been posting the blogs as often as I should, but I guess, that was mostly because we've been taking a long break...(George had knee surgery).
Will try to tell you all more about this weekend at GPG (the one this blog is for...) be watching for it!
And we're really starting to get really busy again! Be watching! ha ha...
Well, better be going on this one...

Hope you all have a safe and blessed day!

Love y'all,
~Carol Lynn~

George Bryantnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6375712889044933758.post-45554617598156234832008-12-29T12:16:00.010-06:002008-12-29T13:07:57.697-06:00Brian Free and Assurance December 11, 2008Oh, wow, this was a great concert! This concert was at the Round Grove Baptist Church...in Round Grove! Of course! That church is such a beautiful facility, it being all decorated for Christmas and all!
It was of course, really good to see friends of ours their! We saw The Crafton's, and you can read about them a little in the last blog I wrote and their parents were with them of course though! My friend Joygail, and my sister Becky was also there! Well, my sister went with us actually...and she enjoyed it all too, which I think is a really good testimony for Southern Gospel music, especially Brian Free and Assurance (BFA)!
We had a blast at the concert! The whole thing started off kind of funny! Derrick Selph, the baritone, pretty well "set the stage" with his orneriness...he pulled the bass singer's, Jeremy Lile, mic stand down...you just had to be there! Throughout the night, he kept on doing little funny things, picking on the rest of the guys! Of course, they all (except Jeremy, the pretty quiet one), HAD to pick on Brian Free! If you don't know who Brian is, he's the tenor...the girl part! lol. We all love Brian though, even if he DOES sound like a WOMAN! :-D And since I've said who all the rest of them are, I suppose I better tell who the lead singer is! Bill Shivers is the lead, the one who talks the second most, and the one who ALWAYS picks on Brian! The concert itself was awesome and all, but afterwards is what impressed me I think probably the most!
After the concert, my sister and I got pictures with each of us with each of them! My sister isn't short or anything, in fact, she felt tall next to the rest of them, but SHE even felt short next to Derrick (Derrick's 6'5")! That was the first time I'd actually ever met Derrick and Jeremy, and I was so impressed with them! They are such sweet guys! AND of course, Brian and Bill didn't let me down! They were just as sweet as always!
Well, I guess I'd probably better be going!

Hope you all have a safe and blessed day!

Love y'all,
~Carol Lynn~

George Bryantnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6375712889044933758.post-21987569504160753622008-12-28T23:14:00.003-06:002008-12-29T01:07:34.365-06:00Carthage 12/5/08!!!! Great fun!WOW!! We had a great time a few weeks ago in Carthage, Missouri! We didn't sing this month, though, because George wouldn't been able to get up on the stage! Actually, we weren't even planned to be there at all, they weren't expecting us to be there! We just...SHOWED UP! lol.
They had, this month, a singing actually kind of similar to the Praise Gathering in Branson, where all the singers/choir people from the audience whom they chose to be in the choir, were all up on stage during the whole concert. It was the first time for Canaan Bound to do that at their singing, and it turned out really nice! Well, we knew each of the groups that sang so that was a blessing to see them all again! Some of them we hadn't seen in a while either!
Well, the groups/artists that were there were: Duke Mason, Canaan Bound, Ninth Hour, LeCroy Sisters (and Tiffany's daughter), The Crafton Trio, and The Revelators. Of course, ALL the songs were Christmas songs, after all, this was the Christmas singing in Carthage, it was December!
Duke Mason had to leave a little early because of a little scheduling conflict before hand, but he was able to sing a few songs! He's always one to get the crowd going! lol. He picks on Gary (Crawford) and it's so funny! You just have to be there! Duke is from the Carthage area, I believe. He travels and sings everywhere!
Canaan Bound, the host group, is always very good! We enjoyed getting to see them again! They, as well as Duke, are from the Carthage AREA, but are actually from Joplin. I don't know if I've ever actually told you who they are or not! This group consists of: Tenor: Justin Crawford, Lead: Gary Crawford (who also writes a lot of their songs, and helped founded the group), Baritone: Jon, Bass: Keith Schneider.
Ninth Hour, a quartet...er a trio that night, made up of amazingly talented guys, also sang as well! The reason it was a trio, Sam, (the group's bass singer), plays the trombone in college, (in Kansas City), and he had to be at a concert his school was having...too bad, missed him, but it was still really good! Of course, they sang 2 of my absolute favorite CHRISTmas songs, too! (O Holy Night and Mary Did You Know.) They are from the Joplin area for the most part. This group consists/consisted of (at the time): Tenor: John Wilkins, Lead: Tim Louderback, Baritone: BJ Huffman, and pianist: Matt Holt.
The LeCroy Sisters were fantastic as well, as always! They did a few songs, that were more Southern Gospelish and all, I mean, like Gold City/The martins songs, but they did great on them! And Mikaela, Tiffany's (one of the sisters) daughter, sang with them on all of the songs, and did a great job! They are from the Branson area, and their names are Tiffany and Terah!
The Crafton Trio. Enough said. :-) BUT, just in case some of don't know what I mean...wow, those girls can sing! Too bad, though...we were just waiting for Cally, the youngest sister (age 15), to bust out singing, but she kept back a little. Oh, well, they still did a great job! They are from out of the Joplin area, and their names (and ages, since they're young...well, so's Ninth Hour, but anyway)... Bethany who sings the lead usually, and she's 20; Anna who usually sings the alto part is 19; and Cally, as I said earlier is 15, and she usually sings the soprano.
And oh, The Revelators!! Some of our very good friends! ALWAYS enjoy getting to be with them in concert! Love them, we've sung so much with them and all, you'd think we'd get tired of it after a while! But we don't! lol. Well, they did a superb job, like usual... :-). They are from around the Cassville/Shelknob area. And their names and positions are: Dad...usually tenor/lead/songwriter, is John; Mom, alto, Wilma; 1st daughter, soprano/lead, Tiffany; 2ND daughter...person who runs around at the concert...lol (not completely), Brittany!
So all in all, there were 3 Johns...guys NAMED John...and 2 Tiffany's up on stage at once! Yeah, I'm weird, I like to figure out stuff like that! :-D
Well, I guess that'll be it for right now anyway!

Hope you all have a safe and blessed day!

Love y'all,
~Carol Lynn~

George Bryantnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6375712889044933758.post-55298715452525327592008-12-16T15:22:00.005-06:002008-12-16T21:51:57.355-06:00Second Generation November 23, 2008Well, we had an absolute fantstic time with our good friends Second (2nd) Generation! They had the full concert, and quite frankly, I'm glad! :-)
Second Generation consists of Brenda Denney, Elaine Parks and Jimmy Hoskins, along with Jimmy's wife who helps out at the table! I always enjoy getting to be with them and they're always so sweet and all! If you EVER get to see them...SECOND GENERATION...then please don't hesitate, GO see them! :D
They were at Bethel Assembly Of God here in Springfield, MO. It's a beautiful Church, and the pastor there is really nice! We knew a couple from the Church already, so it was pretty neat! When the concert was there, there was a road blockage between our house and the Church, so we weren't quite sure which way to go, so we called them and got directions and all, and what do you know...it was the guy we knew giving us directions! lol. That was pretty cool as well!

Well, I hope you all have a safe and blessed day!

Love y'all,
~Carol Lynn~

George Bryantnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6375712889044933758.post-16168436130221890572008-12-16T14:04:00.003-06:002008-12-16T14:21:45.380-06:00ABMD October 10-11, 2008Apple Butter Makin' Days...was great this year! We saw lots of people that we haven't seen in a while as well as new faces! We were there on Friday and Saturday along with Brother Bill Hathaway. He left early on Saturday though...he went back out of the country! He was so excited! It was pretty neat for him to go back over seas!
On Friday, George did live broadcasting on the radio station...he called into the station and I believe it was probably Kyle and Larry who was there at the station when he called in...at different times. If you haven't figured out yet, we were there for the radio station... KWFC 89.1 FM in Springfield, MO (and surrending areas)...(but you can get it all over the world on the internet, at kwfc.org).
Well, I better go on to the next blog...you should check it out, when I write it! It should be about...well, you can find out when I write and you read it! :-)

Well, better get going!

Hope y'all have a safe and blessed day!

Love y'all,
~Carol Lynn~

George Bryantnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6375712889044933758.post-85239381322686904412008-12-16T11:52:00.004-06:002008-12-16T13:21:45.378-06:00The ISAACS!! (October 10th, 2008)WOWOWOWOW!!!!!!!! That was an amazing concert! Here it is OVER 2 months past, and I STILL remember that it was AWESOME! One of the few concerts that I was actually HOLDING BACK tears! It was truly a blessing! No words can truly compair to the words I need to explain that night. So, before I just ruin the moment (or whatever), I'll just leave this one on that...

God bless you all!

I hope you all have a safe and blessed day!

Love y'all,
~Carol Lynn~

George Bryantnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6375712889044933758.post-910515819099122612008-12-16T10:26:00.005-06:002008-12-16T22:00:15.624-06:00Kirk Talley November 2, 2008Well, here I am catching up a little at a time! Ha ha! I'm working on it!
OK, I know some of you may not like Kirk Talley. And I understand why you don't and WON'T like him, but I hope you respect us, for liking his music. Although we don't agree, AT ALL, with what he's "been through"...we'll still listen to his music, as long as he's doing his best to get back. Everyone has their struggles, that maybe not in public view, and all he did was finally tell the public his problem. Sometimes you have to be caught before you can get help. (I can't quite remember who I heard say that, but it wasn't me.) And if you don't know what I'm talking about, visit
http://www.mychristiansite.com/personal/sgfan/kirktalley.html
and you'll read a well written article, and you can go from there...
NOW, to the concert! Let me tell you, it was amazing! I was truly touched by his words and his songs! He really does have a gift, and if you don't believe so, then...oh well, you don't care for those kind of songs, somehow! Anywho, I'll respect you if you don't like him, just please respect us...er me anyway, but I think the rest of us as well (Mom and George).
The name of the Church that he was at is Church of the Harvest, which is a really nice vicinity.

Hope you all have a blessed and safe day!

Love y'all,
~Carol Lynn~

George Bryantnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6375712889044933758.post-12477300694362629102008-12-10T23:20:00.006-06:002008-12-16T10:17:56.681-06:00Catching up...(October 24 & 25)So, this is kind of beginning to the catching up series! I hope you enjoy each episode as I try to catch you up on all the stuff that's been going on our lives! lol, sorry.
Anyway, so, where to start...Family week! Yes, family week at BBC was great fun! George wasn't able to go though because it would've been hard for him to get around and all, but we still had a great time nonetheless! :-) Oh, and it was because my oldest brother, Mark, goes to BBC (Baptist Bible College). My sister Becky, my Mom, and my Grandma and Grandpa N. were there as well!
On Friday night, it was mostly just a little reception type deal. The students and family and faculty at the college all just ate snacks and walked around and fellowshipped. It was pretty interesting meeting a few people!
Then on Saturday, that was more the "big day" for the weekend! We had a couple nice meals...buffet style...and had all sorts of good food! We had breakfast there as well as lunch/dinner, whichever you rather call it! There were a couple different services, one where it was mostly a lot of laughter! Then there was a couple basketball games, the lady patriots against alumni, along with the guys. Then after that was the second (2nd) service with a Youth Pastor Danny Brown.
Needless to say, I hope, it was a great weekend!
Well, here's 1 blog down! lol. I'm just kidding.

Well, I hope you all have a great and blessed and safe day!!

Love y'all,
~Carol Lynn~

George Bryantnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6375712889044933758.post-70237979729701077452008-10-27T16:47:00.007-06:002008-10-27T17:07:39.360-06:00THE LESTERS October 26th, 2008!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!They were AMAZING!! OK, I know I say that on just about all my blogs about going to see a Southern Gospel group, but it's SO TRUE!!!! I'd seen The Lesters prior to last night, but all of them had other groups singing as well! So last night was the first time I'd actually seen them and ONLY them in a CONCERT/Church setting! And I was VERY Impressed! Brian Lester, such a bubbly, sweet guy! Jonathan (sp?) Lester, a very smooth singer, Very good singer! Ginger Pitchers (sp?), Brian's sister, amazing vocals, love to hear her sing! and Jenny Revelle (sp?, yeah, I need to learn to spell), Ginger's daughter (and Jenny's 2 little girls came up and sang as well! They're so cute!), sings Beautifully! So...if you EVER get the chance to see The Lesters...PLEASE DO IT!!!! You will NOT be disappointed!
Well, I'd better get going! My Mom's telling me we need to go! Got some chili cooking, going to make some mac 'n cheese...having Jayla and David over because he's going to help do something at the house!

Love y'all!
~Carol Lynn~

George Bryantnoreply@blogger.com0
