If you want your skin to look healthy and radiant, exfoliate regularly. By removing the top layer of dead epidermis cells, you will make your skin appear smoother and less wrinkled. Here are a few steps to help you achieve, healthy looking, clear skin.

Things You’ll Need:
Bath Towels
Body Liquid Cleansers
Body Lotion
Exfoliating Products
Oil-free Moisturizers

Step1 - Brush dry skin before getting into the shower. You can use either a loofah, exfoliating gloves or a body exfoliating brush. Start at the soles of the feet and work your way up.

Step2 - Get into the bath or shower and wet your entire body.

Step3 - Apply exfoliating cleanser to your loofah or exfoliating brush or gloves.

Step4 - Scrub your body with it, using gentle, circular motions.

Step5 - Opt for grainy types of cleansers to clean the skin, rather than soap.
Choose exfoliating cleansers that contain ingredients such as oatmeal, ground almonds or even sea salt. The grainy texture exfoliates the skin.

Step6 - Make your own exfoliating cleanser, if you prefer. Mix sea salt, olive oil and lemon juice together, or mix ground almonds and powdered milk. The combinations are endless.

Step7 - Use a washcloth for mild exfoliation.

Step8 - Rub rough spots, such as heels, with a pumice stone or stick.

Step9 - Apply lotion containing alpha or beta hydroxy acids after you exfoliate. This will continue the exfoliating process because the acids further abrade and remove dead skin cells.

Step10 - Be sure to use body moisturizers at least once every day. Regular exfoliating is extremely drying to the skin and will do more harm than good unless the skin is rehydrated liberally with lotions.

Sorry gang, I have been MIA for a bit here. Busy busy with family stuff, you know how it goes. My apologies to you all!
I did see the Blue Man Group on Friday night, wowzers! They were really great! I didn't really know what to expect with this show, so I was pleasantly surprised. They put on a great gig, with the band, and the drums, the lighting, their interactiveness etc. It was really a lot of fun!
Yesterday I had a minor accident :( My new car is not so new anymore. boo! I will call the insurance tomorrow to report this mis-hap. Sucks huge. Oh well, no one was hurt and a car can be fixed. No a huge deal.

Trying to develop a Webstore

Who knew it would be so difficult to open a webstore on Amazon.com.
I have been working on this for about a week now. Getting more and more frustrated all the time. It looks so simple... who knew it would be such a pain in the ass.
Ugh.
I downloaded this little program to upload my inventory to the site. There must have been 20 items in the program. It uploaded 3.
The webstore looks wonky and I don't know how to fix it. There are widgets for this and widgets for that. Store widgets, page widgets, this, that and the other thing.
I have no patience for this. I thought it would be so easy... blah. Wrong.
It can't be rocket science.
Do I just have pregnancy brain?

Heath Ledger found dead this afternoon...

NEW YORK - Heath Ledger, the talented 28-year-old actor who gravitated toward dark, brooding roles that defied his leading-man looks, was found dead Tuesday in a Manhattan apartment, facedown at the foot of his bed with prescription sleeping pills nearby, police said.

There was no obvious indication that the Australian-born Ledger had committed suicide, NYPD spokesman Paul Browne said.

Ledger had an appointment for a massage at the SoHo apartment that is believed to be the home of the "Brokeback Mountain" actor, Browne said. The massage therapist and a housekeeper found his naked body at about 3:30 p.m. They tried to revive him, but he was already dead.

"We are all deeply saddened and shocked by this accident," Ledger's publicist, Mara Buxbaum, said in a statement Tuesday night. "This is an extremely difficult time for his loved ones and we are asking the media to please respect the family's privacy and avoid speculation until the facts are known."

Outside the building on an upscale street, paparazzi and gawkers gathered, and several police officers put up barricades to control the crowd of about 300. Onlookers craned their necks as officers brought out a black bodybag on a gurney, took it across the sidewalk and put it into a medical examiner's office van.

As the door opened, bystanders snapped pictures with camera phones, rolled video and said, "He's coming out!"

An autopsy was planned for Wednesday, medical examiner's office spokeswoman Ellen Borakove said.

While not a marquee movie star, Ledger was an award-winning actor who chose his roles carefully rather than cashing in on big-money parts. He was nominated for an Oscar for his performance as a gay cowboy in "Brokeback Mountain." During filming, he met Michelle Williams, who played his wife in the film. The two had a daughter, now 2-year-old Matilda, and lived together in Brooklyn until they split up last year.

It was a shocking and unforeseen conclusion for one of Hollywood's bright young stars. Though his leading man looks propelled him to early stardom in films like "10 Things I Hate About You" and "A Knight's Tale," his career took a notable turn toward dramatic and brooding roles with 2001's "Monster's Ball."

"I had such great hope for him," said Mel Gibson, who played Ledger's vengeful father in "The Patriot," in a statement. "He was just taking off and to lose his life at such a young age is a tragic loss."

In the Australian city of Perth, where Ledger was born and raised, his father called the actor's death "tragic, untimely and accidental."

"He was (a) down-to-earth, generous, kind-hearted, life-loving, unselfish individual, extremely inspirational to many," Kim Ledger said, reading from a prepared statement. "Heath has touched so many people on so many different levels during his short life."

Ledger eschewed Hollywood glitz in favor of a bohemian life in Brooklyn, where he became one of the borough's most famous residents. "Brokeback" would be his breakthrough role, establishing him as one of his generation's finest talents and an actor willing to take risks.

Ledger began to gravitate more toward independent fare, including Lasse Hallstrom's "Casanova" and Terry Gilliam's "The Brothers Grimm," both released in 2005. His 2006 film "Candy" now seems destined to have an especially haunting quality: In a particularly realistic performance, Ledger played a poet wrestling with a heroin addiction along with his girlfriend, played by Abbie Cornish.

But Ledger's most recent choices were arguably the boldest yet: He costarred in "I'm Not There," in which he played one of the many incarnations of Bob Dylan as did Cate Blanchett, whose performance in that film earned an Oscar nomination Tuesday for best supporting actress.

And in what may be his final finished performance, Ledger proved that he wouldn't be intimidated by taking on a character as iconic as Jack Nicholson's Joker. Ledger's version of the "Batman" villain, glimpsed in early teaser trailers, made it clear that his Joker would be more depraved and dark.

Curiosity about Ledger's final performance will likely stoke further interest in the summer blockbuster. "Dark Knight" director Christopher Nolan said this month that Ledger's Joker would be wildly different from Nicholson's.

"It was a very great challenge for Heath," Nolan said. "He's extremely original, extremely frightening, tremendously edgy. A very young character, a very anarchic presence that taps into a lot of our basic fears and panic."

Ledger told The New York Times in a November interview that he "stressed out a little too much" during the Dylan film and had trouble sleeping while portraying the Joker, whom he called a "psychopathic, mass-murdering, schizophrenic clown with zero empathy."

"Last week I probably slept an average of two hours a night," Ledger told the newspaper. "I couldn't stop thinking. My body was exhausted, and my mind was still going." He said he took two Ambien pills, which worked for only an hour, the paper said.

Ledger was a widely recognized figure in his Manhattan neighborhood, where he used to shop at a home and children's store. Michelle Vella, an employee there, said she had frequently seen Ledger with his daughter carrying the toddler on his shoulders, or having ice cream with her.

"It's so sad. They were really close," Vella said. "He's a very down-to-earth guy and an amazing father."

Before settling down with Williams, Ledger had relationships with actresses Heather Graham and Naomi Watts. He met Watts while working on "The Lords of Dogtown," a fictionalized version of a cult classic skateboarding documentary, in 2004.

Ledger was born in 1979 to a mining engineer and a French teacher and got his first acting role playing Peter Pan at age 10 in a local theater company. He began acting in independent films as a 16-year-old in Sydney and played a cyclist hoping to land a spot on an Olympic team in a 1996 television show, "Seat."

After several independent films, Ledger moved to Los Angeles at age 19 and starred opposite Julia Stiles in "10 Things I Hate About You." Offers for other teen flicks soon came his way, but Ledger turned them down, preferring to remain idle than sign on for projects he didn't like.

"It wasn't a hard decision for me," Ledger told the Associated Press in 2001. "It was hard for everyone else around me to understand. Agents were like, 'You're crazy,' my parents were like, 'Come on, you have to eat.'"

7 Tips to Keep Your Business Organized in '08...

If you are like me, there are MUCH better things to do than file papers and organize. On the other hand, there is nothing that stresses me out more, or plays on my mind more than the organization of my workspace. I am totally bad for having "puddles" of papers and receipts and notes... all around the house. Ugh.
I began '08 with a revamp of my file cabinet. I actually bought some hanging folders, files and the stuff I needed to get my butt in gear. I cleaned out the cabinet and put the pretty hanging files in, made the perfect tags and... voila! Organization!
It has actually been easy to keep all my papers together, so far. I am spending the day today, organizing. All of the papers from last year are being filed in their respective folders, cleaning off the clutter of my desk and around the area. Tax time is approaching, and you know as well as I, the headaches that can ensue from filing tax for a sole-proprietorship.
With that being said... here are 7 tips to keep you organized!
1. Define your business goals and plans: Write down your business goals and how you plan to achieve them in a clear and precise way and stick to it. Keep this plan visible to remind yourself of your plan from day to day. Buy an organizer or use software to do this.

By studying and sticking to your plan, you can evaluate your position as to where you stand and make any necessary adjustments to get back on track.

2. Keep yourself and your employees motivated: When you and your employees are happy at work, it shows - and customers notice it immediately. It also improves efficiency and that shows your customers that you and your team are well- organized.

Keep rewarding your employees with any method that you feel works, so as to keep their morale high.

3. Plan according to business needs: There are some things that need to be planned daily, weekly, monthly and yearly. Make a list of these items and schedule them accordingly. Daily planning should be done in the early morning or in the late evening the previous day. Write these things down so that you do not forget them.

Use day planners available at office supply stores or use a computer program to remind yourself of important events. With the many new inventory and accounting software programs available, you can plan your stock, increase product rotation, and manage your expenses - thereby increasing your cash flow and profit margin.

4. Organize your office items: Keep your office or store as neat as possible. Keep items that you require everyday in the same place so that you do not have to hunt for them every time you need them.

Clear out items that you do not need or have not used in a long time. This will prevent lost time, helping you to concentrate on important issues instead of trivial things.

5. Adhere to your commitments: Keep your promises to customers, suppliers and employees. Making payments on time to your suppliers indicates a well-organized business.

Making deliveries at the agreed upon time to your customers will win their trust and will help you in getting repeat orders, as well generate word-of-mouth advertising.

6. Keep in touch: Keeping in touch with your customers indicates that you care about them and value their business. Send them brochures or e-mail them about new products and services that you offer.

Mail your customers birthday cards or greeting cards on special occasions and holidays. This shows a lot about how organized your business is.

7. Use that computer: A computer is like having an extra brain. Use it as much as possible. Do your accounting, inventory, delivery scheduling, and even your letter writing on it. It will save you a lot of time and effort – much more than doing these tasks manually.

With newer and faster applications, it is now possible to have a paperless, clutterless office. Having access to data at your fingertips indicates good organization. Just don’t forget to make a regular backup of your data.

The more organized your small business is, the easier it will be to operate day-to-day, leaving you more time to concentrate on increasing your profits.

She’s eaten at a raw restaurant or two and was amazed at what the innovative chefs served using nuts, fruits, and vegetables, with nothing heated above 118 degrees. But it wasn’t until recently, after reading some news reports about enzymes and how they can help her body stay healthy and look younger that she made the connection…

As it turns out, enzymes are like the body’s very own power rangers – working at the cellular level to provide energy and nutrition to every cell. More current research has shown that upping enzyme intake, usually through supplements, has helped in all kinds of ailments from autism in children to cancer in adults.

Celebrities like Uma Thurman, Natalie Portman and Alicia Silverstone have been sighted on raw food websites as people who are eating more and more raw foods. Carol Alt is a long time raw food enthusiast, and Demi Moore and Donna Karan have been associated with eating raw foods as well. Woody Harrelson is so into raw that he made a movie about it! These are the golden boys today, Canada! The World Junior Championship Game held to day in the Czech Republic saw Canada victorious for the 4 straight year!

As reported by tsn.ca; Team Canada will take to the ice in Ottawa next December as the four-time defending world junior champions. Brad Marchand led the way with a goal and an assist and Matt Halischuk scored at 3:36 in overtime as Canada edged Sweden 3-2 to win its fourth-straight gold medal.

Way to go boys, you really made the entire country proud! And to all the fans that travelled overseas to the game, thanks for showing the guys the support... from the entire country!
