I recently acquired Brain Eno's Music for Airports. A great piece of ambient work that supposedly started the ambient music movement, although that claim can be disputed it's still a great album.

About a year ago I was out in the michigan country, on a farm recording a family reunion. The silos had just been emptied, and I proceeded (with permission of course) to go inside one of these gigantic silos and record all different sorts of sounds and echos in the silo. The resulting episode is complied from those sounds.

Around 2002 I was on the worst Led Zeppelin kick ever. For almost 6 months straight the only music I listen to was "Houses of the Holy" non-stop, and nothing else. I was in my intro to video editing class in college, and all of a sudden the music became intrusive, and annoying. I searched the computer station I was on for something else to listen to and found a sound clip someone had been using for their video projects. It was a recording of a telephone conversation. It was barley audible yet strangely aesthetic. I put it on a loop and continued to work on my own video project for my class. 2 hours passed and I was listening to the same sound clip.

And that was it.

Ever since then I have been a fan of all kinds of ambient music, and being a creative minded individual I naturally ventured out into making my own ambient music. Its a work in progress but I have come a long way in my compositions.

I started sharing my music in a former podcast called sentient beings, but personal circumstances put the project on hiatus. Now sentient beings has evolved into Open Space Radio.

All the music you hear is made by me. I experiment with different styles but the goal is the same, a pure ambient music experience. I hope you can enjoy it. Do not attempt to listen while driving unless you are an experienced listener like myself.

I never did find that original sound recording ever again.
