It has developed today into two forms of the instrument, the imitation pipe organ as used in churches, and the Hammond organ-style instrument used in more popular music genres. <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electronic_organ">Electronic organ - Wikipedia</a></p> <p>A metronome is any device that produces a regulated audible and/or visual pulse, usually used to establish a steady beat, or <em>tempo,</em> measured in beats-per-minute (BPM) for the performance of musical compositions. It is an invaluable practice tool for musicians that goes back hundreds of years. <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metronome">Metronome - Wikipedia</a><br/><br/><a href="http://code.google.com/p/audio-visual-metronome/">audio-visual-metronome</a> project page<br/><script src="http://gmodules.com/ig/ifr?url=http://audio-visual-metronome.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/index.xml&amp;synd=open&amp;w=210&amp;h=500&amp;title=Audio+Visual+Metronome&amp;border=%23ffffff%7C3px%2C1px+solid+%23999999&amp;output=js" xml:space="preserve" type="text/javascript"> </script><br/><a href="http://gmodules.com/ig/creator?url=http://audio-visual-metronome.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/index.xml&amp;synd=open&amp;w=210&amp;h=500&amp;title=Audio+Visual+Metronome&amp;border=%23ffffff%7C3px%2C1px+solid+%23999999">Add to Webpage</a> -o- <a href="http://audio-visual-metronome.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/index.xml">xml</a><br/><br/><strong>Musical Projects and Circuits</strong></p> <ul> <li><a href="http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/g_knott/elect52.htm">Simple electronic organ</a></li> <li><a href="http://www.mitedu.freeserve.co.uk/Circuits/Music/metro.html">Metronome Circuit</a></li> <li><a href="http://www.electronics-lab.com/projects/oscillators_timers/006/">Precision Metronome and Pitch generator</a></li> <li><a href="http://www.arrl.org/news/features/2004/02/28/1/">An Almost-No-Solder Electronic Organ</a></li> <li><a href="http://www.electronicpeasant.com/projects/ledlamps/ledcolor.html">Discrete LED Color Organ</a></li> </ul> <p><strong>Musical Software and Webware</strong></p> <ul> <li><a href="http://givemetac.free.fr/">GiveMeTac ! The set mode turns off after 3 minutes automatically, just press select again to start setting.<br/></p> <p><strong>Suggestion</strong> - Thanks, I'm checking out your alarm. And yes, I am running Firefox and yes all the other numbers and AM/PM will change. What good is a clock where you can't set it for 10 or 11am/pm...? this was a big waste of time.... - WA</p> <p><strong>Answer</strong> - When you want to set the first digit to 1, ensure second digit is set to 0,1,2, if second digit is 3 to 9 the first digit will be locked at 0 to avoid setting a time like 19.45 AM as this is a 12hr clock.</p> <p>If you want to give a feedback or suggestion just <a href="http://www.delabs.net/comments/tell-me.html" target="_blank">Tell Me</a>.<br/></p> <p><a href="http://www.google.com/ig/directory?url=http://digital-alarm-clock.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/index.xml">Alarm Clock Gadget Page - iGoogle</a><br/></p> <p><em>Digital Alarm Clock Manual - Anantha Narayan delabs - Rev 1.2</em></p> <h3>Instruction Video</h3> <p><a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sMhb14jkjtE">Alarm Clock Instruction Video</a></p> <div class="blogger-post-footer"><a href="http://www.dapj.com/">dapj.com</a></div>delabshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13912180441358913305noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6328448.post-33893663830047184202008-02-04T06:14:00.001+05:302008-02-17T11:35:20.534+05:30RGB Color Mixer Gadget <p>This is a HTML RGB color mixer, I was inspired by <a href="http://home.hccnet.nl/s.j.francke/software/software.htm">CPick</a> and <a href="http://www.programming.de/freeware_windows.php">RGB Mixer</a>. Let us assume high is 5V and low is 0V (like in CMOS). On a high level the LED will light up and on a low level the LED is off. Now let us see what Logic means. <a href="http://code.google.com/p/digital-tutors/">digital-tutors</a> - project page.<br/><br/>This page requires images and javascript to be enabled to try out the demo of the gates below.</p> <p><script src="http://gmodules.com/ig/ifr?url=http://digital-tutors.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/logic-gates.xml&amp;synd=open&amp;w=300&amp;h=330&amp;title=Digital+Logic+Gates&amp;border=%23ffffff%7C3px%2C1px+solid+%23999999&amp;output=js" xml:space="preserve" type="text/javascript"> </script></p> <p><a href="http://gmodules.com/ig/creator?url=http://digital-tutors.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/logic-gates.xml&amp;synd=open&amp;w=300&amp;h=330&amp;title=Digital+Logic+Gates&amp;border=%23ffffff%7C3px%2C1px+solid+%23999999">Add to Webpage</a> - o - <a href="http://digital-tutors.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/logic-gates.xml">xml</a> - o - <a href="http://fusion.google.com/ig/add?synd=open&amp;source=ggyp&amp;moduleurl=http://digital-tutors.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/logic-gates.xml"><img src="http://www.delabs-circuits.com/main/images/add-google.png" title="Add to iGoogle" height="17" width="68" alt="Add to iGoogle" border="0"/></a></p> <p><br/><a href="http://www.electronics-circuits.com/cirdir/theory/theory6.html">Digital Logic Gates</a></p> <ul> <li><a href="http://www.electronics-circuits.com/cirdir/theory/gates/doc00011.html">NOT Gate Tutorial</a></li> <li><a href="http://www.electronics-circuits.com/cirdir/theory/gates/doc00012.html">AND Gate Tutorial</a></li> <li><a href="http://www.electronics-circuits.com/cirdir/theory/gates/doc00013.html">OR Gate Tutorial</a></li> <li><a href="http://www.electronics-circuits.com/cirdir/theory/gates/doc00014.html">XOR Gate Tutorial</a></li> </ul> <p>Gates are what make many of ICs, the two popular families are the 40xx CMOS and the 74xx TTL . Now 40xx come in 74HCT40xx flavors which approach the quality of an ideal gate. Entire circuits with Gates can also be also be burnt into PLDs, FPGAs and CPLDs just like you burn your CDROM. Gates can also be implemented in assembly language which a microcontroller like 8051 will understand and execute.</p> <p>Hardware gate circuit will operate in real time, nano seconds delay will be there due to propagation delay, gate capacitance and FET switching times etc. Software or microcontroller gates code working will depend on both propagation delay and the CPU clock speed.</p> <p>Gates can be combined to make combinational or sequential logic circuits. combinational circuits are a complex network of gates interconnected to evaluate a pattern of output for patterns of input. Sequential circuits use memory elements hence output patterns depend both on input patterns and the memory of history of events. An example of combinational logic circuit is a seven segment display decoder CD4511 and and example for a sequential logic circuit is CD4029 up-down counter.</p> <p>The CD40xx CMOS family can work at even 3V-9V-12V DC and consume low power. The speed is not as fast as 74xx TTL family. It is good for simple portable battery powered circuits. The 74HCTxx series is good for low power and high speed but will work at 5V. When you have problems interfacing CMOS and TTL use 74HCTxx family.</p> <div class="blogger-post-footer"><a href="http://www.dapj.com/">dapj.com</a></div>delabshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13912180441358913305noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6328448.post-69526803143089914292007-12-08T17:00:00.001+05:302008-02-06T06:21:20.902+05:30Aircraft Dashboard Clock Mimic Gadget <p>Digital Clock with 24 hour Military Time Format, Aircraft Dashboard Chronometer Like Looks, Date, Time, Weekday and Week of Year. The buttons make a sound and Light up internal LED lamps. Power On-Off control, Digital Timer; Start, Reset Scroll and Select are the controls.</p> <p>Project Page <a href="http://code.google.com/p/programmable-digital-timer/">programmable-digital-timer</a> <em>Rev-12</em> - <a href="http://gmodules.com/ig/creator?url=http://programmable-digital-timer.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/index.xml&amp;synd=open&amp;w=235&amp;h=220&amp;title=Programmable+Digital+Timer&amp;border=%23ffffff%7C3px%2C1px+solid+%23999999">Add to Webpage</a><br/><br/>I will first make some simple examples with this UI. Then i will try to interface the javascript with PHP-MYSQL Application. I am just Thinking Loud. This makes a Globally Distributed Process Control Possible. <strong style="COLOR: #0000ff">:~) .</strong> You can Use html-js-php-msql. You can use ajax-python-perl too.<br/><script src="http://gmodules.com/ig/ifr?url=http://programmable-digital-timer.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/index.xml&amp;synd=open&amp;w=235&amp;h=220&amp;title=Programmable+Digital+Timer&amp;border=%23ffffff%7C3px%2C1px+solid+%23999999&amp;output=js" xml:space="preserve" type="text/javascript"> </script><br/>But for now, back to earth, I will just complete some more simple tutorial gadgets. This Idea of mine is Open Source, please keep it that way.<br/><br/>The advantage is that the industrial process or Home automation can be monitored and controlled on any computer including tablets which has a Browser. The plant automation or Home appliance can be regulated even as you travel back from factory to home. Or in any city from the Cyber Cafe. A Wireless Lan and Computer with Browser is all you need.<br/><br/>Press The Power on-off for a soft start, this is to prevent the inrush current from stressing the javascript components. Then it goes to a display test. The Start button can run or stop timer by toggling. The reset will Bring timer to 0000, format is min-sec.<br/><br/>Set by pressing select to get a marker over orange digit, Use Scroll to set number. Press Start to start timer, Start to be off to set again. The buzzer will turn on when Time elapsed matches time set. and the alarm relay trips. And a Flashing Annunciator signals end of process. Now Reset will start process again and stop flashing LED.</p> <p>To use this like a regular instrument, you need a small portable hand-held computer with browser. Fix that in a Cabinet by filing or grinding it to size and wire the relays and supply. <strong style="COLOR: #ff0080">:-)</strong></p> <div class="blogger-post-footer"><a href="http://www.dapj.com/">dapj.com</a></div>delabshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13912180441358913305noreply@blogger.com
