Vision X celebrates its annual Christmas Party last December 5, 2009 at The Megatent in Ortigas, Philippines.

The party start around 6pm til 12 midnight, I've been with the company for 6 years and since I am no longer at the Makati Branch, I am so excited fpor this party because this the only time of the year that I get to see my friends in VXI Buendia, Makati...

I am so glad that some of them are still connected with VXI and some already resigned and moved to a different company.

Every year, its been the company's tradition to have a competition for every Line of Business (LOB), there were 9 different LOB participated for the said competition, namely Vonage Inbound Buendia, Vonage Inbound QC, Vonage Services, AT&T Legacy, Western Union, AT&T Uverse, DTV, Support Team and I forgot the last one :)...

Congratulations to the Winners, in 3rd place, it's a tie between AT&T Legacy and Vonage services (I am part of the LOB and not included in the performing group but very proud of them), in 2nd place, Western Union, and I have nothing to comment on their performance, and the 1st place goes to Vonage Inbound Buendia, so proud of their performace and they really deserve to win for they really did a remarkable and wonderful performance....

I can't wait for this movie to be shown, after watching Twilight (New Moon) Saga, and Ninja Assassin, Avatar movie is another good movie (i think) that I am looking forward to see thi December.

Finally New Moon Movie (Twilight Saga)!!!

Just got home and watched the New Movie (Twilight Saga), book 2 of Edward (Robert Pattinson) and Bella (Kristen Stewart) story, I am so excited to watch this movie and as soon as I got home I ask Yhey and Cjhay to accompany me to watch it.

Overall I like what they have done with the movie, it is very satisfying for me, but some of my office mates mention that they are expecting more from the movie especially with Bella as if there are some part missing from it, as if they don't feel the depression from Bella due to her break up with Edward. I told them that it is OK because from what I read on the book, they almost covered everything, although I have notice some part missing, I don't know if I am right or I just miss it, Lea and Seth Clearwater was not introduce in this movie, maybe because their part will be mostly needed in part 3 (Eclipse).

I like Alice (Ashley Greene) in this movie compare to the first part, I like the kind of vampire she is in here, I also notice that on the first part of the movie, Edward's make up is not good, uneven make up, it is peeling off from his face and that is very noticeable in some part. Bella is good enough for me, nothing much to say, Rosalie (Nikki Reed) did improve on this film, she looks more beautiful, Esme (Elizabeth Reaser) looks younger, Carlisle (Peter Facinelli) gain some weight, Emmett (Kellan Lutz) looks bigger and fit, Jasper (Jackson Rathbone) looks the same.

Jacob (Taylor Lautner), I never imagine that he will be able to tone up himself beautifully, I only notice that they shoot some of the scene for him to look bigger maybe because it was written in the book that he is suppose to be like 7 foot in height by this time. I like the cast of Volturi they were all OK, Jane (Dakota Fanning) did nice, the only thing that I wish she never had on this movie is the color of her eyes, I know that she is a vampire but they could at least get her a contact lens that is not too obvious.

This movie is good, they were able to get almost everything that is written in the book, and I can even say that the movie is better to be watch compare if you are going to read the story in the book, but of course if you have not read the book, you have nothing to compare it from.

Great movie, highly recommended, I hope that they will be able to finish the 3rd part soon and release is earlier than they plan it.

Another Victory for Manny Pacquiao vs Miguel Cotto!!!

iIt's a good thing that I have PLDT (Philippine Long Distance Telecommunications) as my ISP provider, I was able to watched the fight between the pound for pound champion of the world or the greatest boxing fighter Manny Pacquiao (49-3-2, 37 KO's) against WBO welterweight champion Miguel Cotto (34-1, 27 KO's). November 15, 2009.

It was really fun that I don't have to pay any extra to watch it live and with no commercial break, unlike if you’re going to watched if from television coverage, you need to be patient and wait for the commercial break to finish every now and then.

At the start of the fight, first round it is in favor of Miguel Cotto which is so alarming because it was all over the news that he is better fighter than Manny Pacquiao, then 2nd round came and Miguel drop on the floor as well in 3rd round which is surprising because everything that Miguel says during his interview that he won't let Manny to win this fight and it was fair that he did everything that he could but round 10 came he start back pedaling and there are no more exciting actions, Miguel Cotto is only trying to keep standing since round 10 to the end.

Round 12 came and he received another punch from Manny that the referee decided to stop the fight a little over a minute on that round if I am not mistaken. Miguel Cotto lost but it’s good to see that after battle he came to Manny and hug one another and accept his defeat.

I really appreciate myPLDTwatchpad, I was able to watch the fight like any other people who go to the movie house and pay to watched it live.

Paranormal Activity Movie!!!

I watched Paranormal Activity movie two days ago, I can't get over about it so easily, the movie is regarding a couple live in a house that is being haunted by a ghost. As the movie went along, the experience of the couple is getting worst each time.

The girl kill his boyfriend at the end of the movie and the girl seems to be posses of the thing that haunting them, it is really scary and there is caption at the end of the movie that says "in memory of the person (name) in the movie", I was so shocked to have read that and thought that this is really a true event and the movie was a documentary of the real person.

That night I was not able to sleep well, the next day I watched the movie again and check the details of the movie and it was so perfectly done or as if it is really a documentary movie. I search web in regards to the filming of this movie and i am so please that this is a movie filmed in a documentary way.

Watched it and you will be thrilled.....

Great Baby Furniture for our Nathan!!!

Our baby Nathan is getting and bigger each day and since he no longer fit on his old crib, I and my sister decided to look for a new crib for him. I asked her to try and look on the internet and she came across with Sam's club website which offers a good line of baby furniture.

I am so excited to look at it and so happy that we were able to see the baby cribs they have online. One good thing about this is they have wide range of what you are looking for your babies needs such as cribs, baby food, educational toys and a lot more.

Another great thing I have noticed aside from the nice items that they offer is the prices; you can see that it is very economical and less expensive. Their prices include shipping so you don't have to worry what will be the exact amount that you need to pay to the item that you desire for your kids.

I am so happy with the variety of styles of cribs to choose from and get the one that is perfect not only for his room but to what he really needs. I am sure that that he will be very comfortable with his new baby furniture from Sam's Club that's make it more perfect.

One thing you can do while staying at the White Beach of Puerto Galera in Mindoro, Philippines aside from swimming, snorkeling, night life and buying good and wonderful souvenir items is you can get to sing along with one of the videoke system they have in a small restaurant (carinderia).

We really had a great time and spend hours singing and I took a video when Cjhay sings "Knock me off my Feet", originally sung by Stevie Wonder...

Puerto Galera 2009 White Beach Vacation part 1 (Mindoro, Philippines)...

It's been awhile since the last time I have visited Puerto Galera's White Beach in Mindoro, Philippines. I used to go there at least once or twice a year and the last time I go there with my co-employee at VXI, Philippines.

This year I am so fortunate to go there with Ernie, our baby Cjhay and Yhey. We stayed there for five days, the place is really cool and one thing that I have noticed is that they have shows on the beach every weekend night (Friday to Sunday). It s really entertaining and you won't find the place boring nowadays, unlike when we used to go there and it's not pick season (meaning summer).

There are so many thing to do there now, you can drink on the beach while listening to good music or watching the show with good local impersonators, of course not to forget the beach the you can surely enjoy day or night.

What a great place for vacation and a great view as well...

Two Nursing Graduate in the Family (part 6)!!!

In an occasion like this that everyone is so happy, and for our family it is something to celebrate, after the commencement exercise, family member left at home prepare something for a small dinner to celebrate the said event, we spoke to Regi's mom, father and little sister who is currently out of the country, they were all happy and of course the tears from both mother is something is always there, Cjhay mom cried with so much happiness in her heart and Ate Libay (Regi's mom) have her moment alone, crying and wishing that she's here to witness this once in a lifetime event of her eldest daughter.

Again congratulations to our two newly graduates.

Last October 11 our baby Christian James Gines and our nephew Regina Reyes finally graduated from Bachelor of Science in Nursing. everyone in the finally are so happy with this event. Regina mother is in Qatar and miss this but we spoke to her on the phone and she is so happy for her daughter but we are all there to support this once in a life time experience that she had, while Cjhay mom and sister is with us and we all don't want to miss the opportunity to witness this event.

I really can't wait for November 20 for the play date of New Moon, the second part of the Twilight Saga. As I watch this new release trailer, I can't explain my eagerness, my excitement to watch the movie and if I can pull the days so that November 20 is now. but there is nothing we can do but to wait. I only hope that it is really worth it.

After New Moon, Breaking Dawn is the next movie to watch out, ionly hope too that they will not wait like the way we have waited for New Moon.

Typhoon Ondoy Experience - Continuation...

When I reached Tullahan bridge in Valenzuela, the water is above my waist line, I crossed is over, I saw a lot of people at the other end of the bridge trying to see if they can cross over, I have noticed a lot of people gliding bit by bit, trying to see if they get across. I also noticed some people covered in grease, since the Tullahan Bridge is so near to Cosmos plantation and one of San Miguel Beer Corporation plantation is located here too, maybe those grease are from their machines or trucks.

I really want to go home and the fact I am so near, If I can get across I know I will be home in no time, I tried to walk together with those people who are gliding at the left side of the street, San Miguel Beer Corporation wall, I was able to cross almost 5 to 7 meters away from the bridge, others swim through it, I can't swim this flood not that I don’t know how but I am worried of what I have inside my clutch bag, my mobile phone, the token I use at work and other important papers that I can't afford to lose, I got cramps on my left leg as well that I decided to turn back and stayed at the bridge hoping that the water will subside in awhile.

It continuously rain hard until I realized that the water is keep on arising bit by bit and to my surprise the flood is up to my legs, I am so cold and chilling at the same time, I know I need to look for a shelter or a place where I can rest even under with my wet clothes. Cjhay called me on my mobile phone, he is so worried and mentioned that he will fetch me and he will take umbrella and jacket for me before I was able to answer my mobile phone run out of battery ad I wasn't able to tell him that it will be impossible for him to come across to where I am because of the flood is too high that if I look on the establishment in the area you will notice that the only thing visible is their roof , like Jollibee and 7-11 convenient store and other houses besides them.

Luckily the jeepney next to me after talking to Cjhay is quite spacious that 3 or 4 more people can fit in, I asked if I can sit inside and they let me. We are all stranded to this disaster and the best way is to wait for the water to subside, an hour had pass and I see that the water is up to the of a tall walking collecting soft drink cases and palette that has been washed out from the plantation nearby.

The lady in front of me is with a baby about 7 months old, it just woke and cried, she is crying because they were stranded there since 1 o'clock in the afternoon and it's already 9pm and the baby just drank 1 bottle of milk since then. The mother have some biscuits with her for the baby but she don't anymore water nor milk for her. The driver of the jeepney fined a way and asks favor if other people stranded like us can spare them some water for the baby. He was able to some which is good enough to calm the baby and after she ate biscuits and drink water she go straight back to sleep.

I am so tired and I know that I cannot do anything at the moment, I decided get some sleep but of course you can't really sleep well in that condition, few hours have pass and the rain stopped and I have notice that the water is subsiding. I thank god for this, we have given hope that this will be over soon, After 2 hours more of waiting I get of the jeepney trying to figure out if I can get across on it already.

I have seen a familiar face. It was Ericson my nephew Angie's boyfriend that was not able to reach his work place because of the typhoon that decided to go home late that afternoon. I was around 4am the following day, we both decided to walk in the water, despite of having scratches in my both thighs I agree with him, because I need to get home to clean my wounds and I am tired of walking and standing all day with no slippers or anything on my foot.

As we cross, the water is up to my chest, that’s OK for me and Erickson, we even encourage those people in front of us that the water will remain at that level as long as they stay in the sidewalk, and we even tell them that we are from this vicinity and very much familiar with this particular street. It was so dark, the only thing that I see is the water and shadows of people from a far crossing this flooded area of Marulas.

After 15 to 20 minutes of walking in the flood, people in high grounds are rejoicing and happy that people were able to cross the water and we have survived. Still in bare foot, I walk towards home and reach it around 5am, I took of my clothes, get ready to get shower ( I don't want to describe how my wounds look like because it's not that good), I called my office and notify them that I just got home since I left the office.

I went to bed after cleaning myself and have eaten something, We don't have electricity until the next day and when the electric power gets back, I turn on the TV, I don’t like what I see because what had happen to me is nothing to compared to what I see in the news. I become more worried about my family in Antipolo because I been trying to call them and I can't reached them, I ask ate Leny if she can come down from her home to check on my family since her place is only 15 to 20 minutes ride unlike me that lives in the other end that will took me more than an hour ride in an ordinary basis.

I am so thankful when I heard the news from ate Leny and kuya Leo that they are safe. I was able to get a good sleep after that.

This is one experience that I will never forget. I thank god that I was able to survive this calamity as well as my family.

Typhoon Ondoy Experience!!!

It was Friday night, I got up take a shower, dress up and go to work. It was heavily raining that night, I took a cab to go to the office. The rain did not stop the whole night, I am not so worried because since the Tullahan bridge that I will be passing through to get home is newly reconstruct and the last time our area was flooded, the road is still passable even if there are water in the highway, the highest level of water we have experience back then is up the waist.

As I get 0ut from work around 10:00 am, at EDSA (main highway) you will not notice that there are any problem due to the said typhoon, I have waited for an hour or two for the rain to subside since I was not able to bring an umbrella coming to work since I took a cab to begin with and hoping that the rain will stop the following day. I decided to buy a new pair of slipper for my journey for home.

I and my colleague went to Jackman Emporium in Munoz to buy slippers, luckily he have a big umbrella for both of us. after getting a pair of slippers he encourage me to go to SM Mall at North EDSA so that we can easily ride a bus. I refused, thinking that I will be able to get a bus from where I am. Two hours have passed and still no luck.

When the rain subsided a bit I decided to run to a place where I can ride a tricycle to go to SM Mall at North EDSA , hoping that I can get a bus or at least be sheltered properly inside the mall but after a few steps away from Jackman Emporium the rain becomes more heavy and I was totally wet and thought that I cannot continue of my plan to go to SM Mall, I turned my back and started walking towards Monumento (Caloocan City).

There is a lot of people walking, mostly students trying to be at home before the situation become any worst than already is. Some people are crying about this, some take it siriously, some are having fun with this experience and I walk in silence and concentrate on my journey.

As I walked in EDSA highway, I also notice that the vihicles ae no longer moving, EDSA is no longer passable, jeepnesys, cars, vans, truck and buses is no longer moving. More and more people decided to take their chances to reach home by foot. After walking abut 100 meters one of my slippers gave up and I continue walking without a slipper on my other foot. I thought that this wont stop me. My eagerness to be homewas my only goal at that time and I cannot afford to lose hope by means of any destruction thats happening to me or to what I am seeing around me.

I was able to pass a river before Balintawak Market, the water is about my waist and the current is much stronger, I take one step at a time and slowly I was able to cross it with other people who decided to the same as I am. When I reached Balintawak (Clover Leaf Market) it is far worst that I expected, the smell is unexplainable but I know I can't stop withthis hindrances and I have seen the flood in North Express Way, even there no means of transportation, are area is so flooded as if I am looking at a river from Balintawak bridge. I see a sign stating that Valenzuela is flooded as I continue walking, Im my head I am know that the Tullahan bridge was recently recontructed for this kind of scenario or disaster, since Valenzuela is known for being flooded when ever there is a storm or typhoon hit Manila.

I reached Monumento safely, my thighs started to ached, since I am wearing a blue jeans and it scratches my thighs and that is where the pain is coming from. I did not bothered me at all even if the pain is really noticeable and I focused on my will to get home. I continue walking, I have notice that the buses here is quite empty and there is more vacant seats and it's not moving. More people now is walking in this flood, like me there we all wished to get home safely as early as possible.

Walking along Mc Arthurs hidh way is another thing, the street is not really that flooded but when I reached Tullahan river or bridge is something that I cannot imagine and all my hope to get home faded.

I will contnue my story on my next post as I need to tend wounds for now.
