the birthplace of !kohaus Avante Garde Art!sts in 2006, creating sustainable art. what better place than GREENVille. as a former pratt institute student, I’ve waited for technology to catch up with my concepts on creating forward looking art. now we can create and collaborate in an electronic format. our group extends from greenville, nc to victoria, Australia, to Italy and California usa. we then out put our work sustainably in limited Giclee, or canvas printed format, watchable or downloadable video, and in the literary we are our own eBook publishers.
as avant garde art!sts we push the boundaries of acceptable art forms to make way for the future. finally we have evaluated the software with school children in victoria Australia, and have found that young people acclimated to computers, find new interest in art now that they you can use computers to create. with this, below you will find the link to my buddies below at ambient design, in Auckland, new Zealand, that created the “art rage” software that I use (studio pro), at a very affordable price. they will be glad to hear from you. there is a FREE starter edition (how I started) and be sure to let ambient know in the comments when you order, “Carlos of !kohaus Avant Garde Art!sts” recommended you guys (they love this stuff in new Zealand cause they are real art!sts software designers!!!

Ahhhh I thought as much, well my interview was by design called "Artist to Artist", it will stand the test of time

Our main members are Maggie Beresford, digital photographer from Australia, Michael K Brown poet (Master Wordsmith) and Ken Boe (remember him at California) who is on the fringes and still doing his thing.

You know my heart, art and direction, so right now I'm preparing to talk with an Executive's Chef's restaurant here in Greenville to exhibit our art and would love to be able to offer authorized Giclee's of your work for display and sale their also.

Dear !kohaus Avant~Garde art!sts,

I wanted you all to know first, that we are welcoming a pre-eminent Avant~Garde, surreal if you will artist into our midst. My good buddy from the California WAF show has joined our !kohaus (well made house) Avant~Garde art group.

As I consider Octavian a prime artist in the avant~garde field, I will be writing a blog about this addition, as well as adding his name and a direct link from my site http://www.carloslromero.com.

Do not take any slight or offense to my sight being the central focal point for !kohaus, for it was upon meeting Monica Palermo and Maggie Beresford and explaining my Avant~Garde tendencies, that I found there were many knowing and unknowing like minded artists that just needed to be united under a term for the experimental and far reaching art different than most that was being done.

I am sure that Ken Boe may have much to say about this, but at this time what we really need is to put forth this group. Much of what we do I've embedded into the archive.org site and we must realize that it will be there for life, forever, so even in 200 years people will have a record of what was transpiring with this visionary art group.

I can handle many more links to those members that have content they wish shown to the world. Just ask Michael K Brown, about my geekdedness and you will find I'm about 20 years out with computer connectivity and technology for art.

We have unlimited storage capacity, privately in a company I've been successfully evaluating called Nirvanix, that can supply unlimited storage for all our digital pictures, writings, music or video. However I am charged on an upload, download and gigabit storage basis, the cheapest I've found so you can take advantage of this and I can set up an account for you, but would have to charge you whatever usage costs your account incurs. Just let me know and I can set it up for anyone. It is an excellent means to transfer large gigabits of content without having to make copies, tapes, CD's or DVD's (avant~garde but of course).

So finally I say to you welcome Octavian Florescu, may this moment go down in history (maybe Maggie and Michael will do a work on it, Above Water create a HyperCube Jazz Song?).

Carlos L Romero.com is the site where you can find all types of avant garde art. We've been working hard to bring the art that has yet to be seen to you. Whether it's lierary, music, dance, art or film, you can find what is truly new. Many of the works may be in rougher stages as in avant garde art, it is an experimental form of the untried.

We will be launching a new "channel" page called layer #2 that will use embeds and uploads, rather than numbered channels. This test we believe if it works will free up our ability to get content to you and make your viewing experience more intuitive.

We endeavor to push the boundaries of art, into the future in real time right here using Facebook, to be in and amongst the people. Working on art? Or just working?

It's great to be an established artist and working on new creations, but what's really more difficult is working on an entirely new direction in art. By this I mean the avant~garde. You see there is no recognition there, for the art that hasn't been done yet, for breaking new ground, of course has very few fans as the work has never been seen before and may sit uncomfortably with viewers.

The current state of the economy also is a very difficult one for artists, experimenting with what is new. There are virtually no patrons seeking to lend impetus to an entirely new untried form. This makes surviving very difficult for the avant~garde artist, another means of employment must be taken, just to survive.

This is where we've taken to using our eco-friendly avant~garde techniques, of just giclees, prints and ebooks, to our new store front on !kohaus Etsy .com

and so the story goes, thanks go out to the art patron who today 10/26/2009 stopped in to "Links" 412 Evans St in Greenville, NC and bought "Maryborough Waterlilies #5" the 22nd and final print of that edition in large format. This work had been exhibited out at The WAF's first ever Expo in California in June of 2009. Not to worry patrons there are a few other in existence approx 7 36" X 24" in Australia and a few 10 X 11.5's here in Greenville, NC.

So be a part of history as this avant~garde movement takes off. It has already spread from Greenville, NC to Australia and into literature in California, with Maggie Beresford and Michael K Brown, of the respective areas.

Black Pirates???

Let us begin the saga and journey back in time when Pirates ruled the seas. There was one Pirate, a black man by the name of “ Little Caesar” a former African King and slave in Haiti, who escaped and ravaged the seas from Florida to North Carolina, where he joined the infamous Black Beard.

yes! after speaking with an east carolina university professor, we find it true that we are pioneering new groundbreaking ahead of the status quo. it seems due to economic budget cuts, the university is short on supplies. papers for testing, more students per class and computers going unfixed. I say that after years of unsustainable waste, our concept is fast becoming the sensible alternative method.
the philosophy class is now coming to the realm we avant-garde art!sts have created. working tests on computer just as we produce our work on them, but make no output until necessary. this fact maybe troublesome to a few, but is the way we forsee in the future. I discussed books with professor and how walmart and others have reduced best sellers to $8.99. he reffered to the proprietary kindle reader.
why be so complicated I explaine? we produced michael k brown's work in a simple pdf format. it can be read on any computer, notebook, smart phone, or even printed out for the reader.
we are all on the path to the future, we !kohaus artists just believe that we must create, evaluate and pro-activate the tools of creation. for if their is not a tool for what we do. we will create it!

Courtney downloaded the poetry, I am thrilled to pieces reading it. He sure is an awesome
writer. I haven't had time to read them all as I have had a busy day and have to go out again.
Thanks for waiting Carlos, it is saved now. I received a thank you from Michael the other day
which was so thoughtful. I will write him later also. He needs to be complimented on his work.
By the way Carlos you need to be thanked also for helping Michael and Maggie to get all that
work and the time it took to get this whole business going. The sites are awesome !! Great work Carlos !!

I'm going to take the time here to explain for all this is what Avante-garde art is about. Not how much
money we make, what galleries accept our art, what articles have been written, but a simple reaction
of a regular patron feelings of, "...I am thrilled to pieces reading it. He sure is an awesome
writer".

Now we know why our Avante-garde creed is ""We create in a non physical space and it is in
the midst of this nexus that we relate to each other".

This artist went out to Raleigh on August 10th, 2009 with the kids to a Baptist convention in Raleigh NC at the Clarion Hotel and Raleigh Convention Center to fellowship with some old Church members from NYC and here's a video fo what happened out on the street going back to hotel to drive back to G'Ville when my daughter started Jerking in the Street and an NC State Trooper almost busted her for performance art. Luckily he was a black State Trooper and after I cut the video he was even looking for more and wanted to see us take it to the stage.
