Its been that long since I made any entry I thought I best check to see if the block is even working.

We wil start to get more info up here otherwise I think I will have to remove the blog - No point if no update.

My logic is outstanding!

Lets see what the next couple of days hold for me in my attempt to start sharing once again.

What I can say is thank god for the fact the renovations are starting to wind down. We have a bit of painting to do and then we are done.

PARTY TIME!!!!! Well maybe not until part 2 of housing plan is complete.

Well forget the thought of worrying about the kids growing up too fast. Seems like yesterday I was changing his nappy and monday he starts tennis coaching ... where has it all gone. I can tell you but Id have to kill ya *Grin* Time has gone to big cuddles and great memories.

Not only Sam on the move by Shyann is taking her first crawling steps and thats beautiful to watch....pity about her waking at 3.30am for a bottle .....nah, I dont mind ... will never complain. They are both happy and healthy and thats the main thing. I will update the photos over the next day or so. Check back

Cease to amaze

Absolutely baffles me - No matter how long I stay in the corporate world, everyday Im baffled at the business sense of most. I just tried to speak to a vendor, keep in mind I was given the managers details for a reason and the receptionist doesnt want to put me through. OK! That I can deal with -- Question " They want the business or they dont." Im opting for no second chance - I will take the business elsewhere --- we are only talking about hardware around the $300K mark atleast. This is where I smile.

heheh I love business eye opening experiences. I should start to write a manual for upper management and CIO 's in the work place. It has always been said "You can give someone a managers title however, it doesnt mean that they can manage". Probably shouldnt get me started on this side of things.

On a good note however, my boy is starting to play tennis "I think my boy is growing up far too quickly" nonetheless love the kids to bits and love the milestones just the same.

Best get back to the grindstone and I will give you more of my food for thought later.

Never Doubt the "Mum" Again!!!

Well, cut a long story short, Mondays and Tuesdays I take the kids to Daycare and School as Char has to work. It gives me an eye opener as to what MUM gets done in a normal day and thats only from the mornings activities. Im impressed!!! Dont get me wrong Im doing great. Morning School runs just put a whole new swing on the meaning of time management.

The kids are great which makes the whole experience that much more enjoyable. I also think it provides Char with some entertainment.

So thats Monday and Tuesday mornings --- Im getting better though!

For every getting in trouble for not keeping the family uptodate on the goings on with us and the kids from day to day. Hence, I will have to start here once again.

Knowing your drill bits

Knowing your drill bits ... I was quiet concerned about drilling into the bathroom tiles to put the new shower rose on. This is obv, because of the tiles breaking when you use a standard masonary bit. Not so Scary when you have the right tools - RTFM :)

Firstly dont forget to make a cross over the mark where you are drilling with masking tape. You will drill through the masking tape to prevent the top glazed layer of the ceramic tile from cracking. then using the tile bit you begin drilling. Using the tile bit requires minimal revs, excessive heat will damage them.

Tile Bit

Tile bitA bit for drilling ceramic tiles and glass, it has a ground tungsten carbide tip. They can be used with a hand drill, but are best used in a variable speed power drill on a slow speed. When drilling glass, some form of lubricant (i.e. turpentine or white spirit ) should be used to keep the tip cool.

Ceramic tiles can also be drilled using a masonry bit if it is used at slow speed and without hammer action.

Sharpening - difficult because of the hard tungsten carbide and curved cutting edge. With care and patience, a blunt edge can be made good using an oilstone.

When I look back at the last year, I cant quiet believe what we/I have actually done. I will start with all the major events however now my new baby girl is awake I must leave. Baby Shower!!!!

Yesterday we had Charmaines baby shower. Great day! The main event was organised by a couple of friends of hers and what a job they did - A Huge thankyou to them - They know who they are.

I also just want to say a huge thank you to all the girls that came a long and for the lovely gifts. The bubs will love it all.

I will get some piccies of Char up shortly, she is getting quiet big now only 4 weeks to go.

Being a new chapter in the life of Moi, I think I might need to start making more constructive use of this blog. I know there are some of you out there that are missing all the news and happenings in the life of the Friedlands, so what Im going to do is keep the info, photos etc updated as often as possible - The good the bad the renovated and the ugly!

ALL BY HIMSELF .... enough to warm the depths of the heart seeing my boy finally ride his pushy by himself. He is over the moon and we cant get him off the bike now - not that we want but oh does it make me smile seeing him rounding around.

Ill have to stick some pics of char up here sometime soon. She is starting to get really big. We are sooooooo excited, I cant wait. Nursery is all painted etc and we now have Sams room done --- I will stick up some pics of the finished product shortly.

Anyway just wanted to share that with you and now I have to go and continue rebuilding my notebook - Which Im not happy about to say the least.

XP SP2 Farked my machine

My power settings on my notebook went haywire, infact, disappeared. No longer can I suspend the machine or make use of hibernation. Anyway been doing other wierd shit lately so I decide to remove sp2. It made no difference so I readded it. Yeah great move. Cant browse shit now. Everything else runs fine. Traffic flowing and yet no http or https traffic inbound. Why would that be?????????? Anyone comes across this that has the answer Im all ears.

:) I almost have the basis now recreated for this site, so now I just have to populate it. Getting there slowly by surely. Check back shortly, within a day or 2 I dare say.

Our boy, Sam turned 5 yesterday. Wow, is he growing fast. Loved his pressies though. One thing, when buying kids presents, what always looks like fun ends in tears. We buy this hotwheels toy that is supposed to launch off the ground etc. Yeah, right - if you're a rocket scientist and not a 5 year old. Anyway, got rid of the Dupe and got him some stuff he likes.

Now its Charmaine's Birthday tomorrow so don't forget to email her and wish her happy birthday.

Time to run, sam wants some dinner - as they do. I will get the gallery up of the wedding within the next day or so. Atleast the start of it anyway.

I shouldnt jinx myself. What a day - The mustard is off the hotdog, the worlds gone crazy. Frustration is at boiling point. Take a deep breathe, smile and move on.

Well, far too much is happening in our lives for me to not share it with you all; Therefore, site is being revamped - for easy of maintenance by moi (no comments please haha) and I will start to have more recent, updated, worth reading material up here and elsewhere on the site.

Hmmmm time. time prohibits and time permits and when you have non of it its time to find it otherwise this happen. You come to sydney to work and see your niece - but plans change.... I would never have permitted but time got the better of me. It time to take time by the hand and teach it a lesson in time management. I will see my niece before I leave... I hope!

Now why would one admit this on a blog ... well no idea ... however looking back it was amusing. I created about 60 extensions this morning for this move we are doing. Almost complete task to discover I create non DID stations. NO GOOD my good man said Holmes.

A wise man once told me:

" A man convinced against his will is of the same opinion still"

Something I've held onto for a lot of years and held onto purely by the fact of it is always proven to be correct. I is sometime imperative to let others make their own mistakes. Saves you the heart ache and stress - well almost ... you still have the stress knowing that it is going to F*** up guaranteed. A lesson worth learning.

We does that comment come from you may ask, and Im going to say human nature.
