Well, I have decided to make my new blog, and I am ready to share it with you all! The new blog is http://digiscrapfun.blogspot.com. There is still some things that I need to do at the new blog, but that will come.
Anyway, you will want to bookmark that new blog, because there is a new kit coming out from Andrea that I will be posting the cut up alpha for... should be sometime today or tomorrow, so keep your eyes peeled for it!!

This blog will be deleted by the end of the month I think.

Showing some layouts and need some help!!

Hello bloggers!!

OK, so I need some help! I mentioned before that I need to change my blog address. I have a gmail account, and this blog is not associated with it. I use google reader, and I read that on my gmail account.... SOOOOO....... commenting on blogs is a real pain for me. I gotta sign out, sign back in with my other account, leave the comment, log out, sign back in to my gmail account, and continue blog reading. That is soooooo time consuming!!

So..... is there anyone out there in scrapland that can help a girl out with setting up a new blog and help me come up with a nice layout? I could definatly use the help! I don't know what I could do to repay you, but I am sure something could be worked out! contact me at dawn5778 (at) gmail (dot) com and let me know!!

OK, this next one is special to me. I was asked by a friend of mine at church to be her background vocalist for an album she is making. I was in the studio on Monday (congested and all) and had a blast! But didn't realize how much work goes into this!! 4 hours on ONE song!!! When the CD releases in the spring, I will give you a little listen if I can figure out how, and if you would like to purchase a CD, I can get info for you too!

OK, so I am goofing off playing around in PSE, and I made a paper. I am not sure if it is even anything that anyone would use, but I thought I would offer it up anyway. If you use it for anything, please share it with me! I am a designer by no means, but maybe if I continue to learn, I might become one.... who knows!??!?!?!

Three posts in one day! Wow!!

OK, so I did another tutorial on Hummies World and I wanted to show you the result.

The items used it from the kit "Love Notes" over at Nicole's site. Really, really cool stuff she has over there - go check it out!! (but not until after you see my layout LOL!!!)

OK, since I have only 70 views on this blog, I want to make my change before I start getting more people coming. Here's my problem: This blog is made using my bex email address. Which in and of itself is ok, but the problem is that I also have a gmail account that I use everyday, and also have my google reader set on that account, with all my blogs that I follow on there. When I want to post a comment on someones blog, I have to sign out of my gmail account and sign in with my bex account- a pain, but bearable... the problem is that my reader gets signed out, and I lose my place!

So I need to make a new blog using my gmail account so that everything can run smoothly for me. As you can see- I havent done a whole lot in regard to blog design, so moving it wont be that big of a deal as long as you all dont mind moving with me!

If there is anyone out there who would be willing to help me in making a blog layout or give me tips on how to go about doing it- I would be grateful! Gosh, I am not even sure what I would call a new blog! So any ideas there would be cool too!

OK, ok... I keep saying that I am going to keep this updated, and here I go neglecting it again!!

I am not sure if anyone even actually reads this- I'd love to know if you do! Knowing that there are people waiting to see things I have made would probably help to keep me motivated to update this and share layouts or QP's or maybe even something that I create!

Anyway, I have finally taken the plunge and become a subscriber to Hummie's World. It is really affordable at only 5.50 a month, and there is a wealth of information to be had!!! WHY NOT GO GET YOUR SUBSCRIPTION????

So- I decided that even though I have been scrapping for almost a year now, that I was going to start at the very beginning and go through her tutorials one by one. I am so glad I did, because there is already a lot I wasn't aware of! And since I am starting all over, I am creating layouts using what I have learned. I am going to post the layouts here as I go along (a motivation to keep this updated too LOL!!), and I will link the photo to the gallery on Hummies site so you can see the credits and other info about how I did the layout. This will keep me from having to put the info in twice lol.... So you can feel free to comment or offer tips/suggestions/constructive criticism.... in fact I would love it if you would! You can either comment to the blog post here, or- if you are registered with Hummies World- you can leave a comment on there- either way I would appreciate input!!!

Here we go with my "new" first layout! This was made to go along with the tutorial, and yes it is very basic since there are no kits used, but it was what the tutorial called for!! :

This next layout is from the tutorial "Cutting paper". I cut the tag, frame, and bottom border. Click the image to see the credits and more info

This last layout for this post was made in the "rotating photos and elements" tutorial. I never knew about the reference point!!!! I love it! This layout is very simple- but that is the way I intended for it to be :D

I've gone MIA again. Sorry. But here is some good news for you.... I just learned how to send blogs from my cell phone! I got a new rant from sprint, and it has a full qwerty keyboard, so it makes things easier for me.
I can "rant" from my "rant" - LOL!!
OK I know- cheesy joke- sue me

Anyhoo... If nothing else, I can at least keep you updated about whats going on with me.
I will try really hard to do some scrapping stuff too..... that will have to come from my computer though- you can't do EVERYTHING from a cell phone- yet.. ha ha

Health Update

Sorry guys- no freebie today. I haven't been able to get around to getting anything done as far as layouts and quickpages go... I'm slowly getting to it. Everytime I go to sit at the computer to do something, I seem to get dizzy fairly easily, so my creative time has been limited.

I am just wanting to update you on some things going on. I mentioned before that I was diagnosed with Meniere's Disease, and I am supposed to be going to Ann Arbor to the University of Michigan Vestibular Testing Center. I was supposed to go yesterday, but had to cancel because of some red tape insurance issues. I go to get the testing done now on December 23rd, and see the doctor on January 13th. I am concerned because I have had some of these tests before, and I ended up going home sick and it took several days for me to recover. I am concerned because I don't want to be sick for Christmas. But at the same time, I want answers as to what they can do to help me, and I am not going to get those answers unless I get tested- so I guess I have to do what I have to do, huh?

Anyway, I will try to get some more stuff up here for you. Not only from Melanies creations, but also Holly. I am going to work on some QP's from some of her newest kits as well.

Look for them sometime next week. The only thing that will stop me is my diziness. Wish me luck!

I have a freebie for you! I have not been able to do too much since being out of the hospital, but since being on the computer only really requires me to sit... haha... I have been doing a little scrapping. Melanie over at By Gods Design has a new kit coming out that is being revealed today, and I have a layout to share with you, along with a quickpage.

This is a short post today since I am busy with wedding stuff this weekend. My good friend Tammy is getting married and I am headed to the reception hall to sit and make favors. Don't worry- I'll be sitting down! No worries about me falling on my head, LOL!!

Where have I been?

Hi. First let me just profusely aplogize for not being around lately. I have been going through a lot, and life has just been crazy. Here's a little snippet of what has happened to me in the last week or so...
I have been in the hospital since Wednesday night (10/08/08). I was at church, doing what I normally do, and all of a sudden I felt like there was this huge weight just keeping me down, like it was pushing me over. I made it as far as one of the offices, and I fell first to my knees, then all the way down to the floor. From what I understand (cause my memory about this is foggy) I passed out or something. Anyway, long story short, I have to see a specialist in Ann Arbor. And, because of this dizziness and lack of balance I am having, I am pretty much forced to use a walker. I am stubborn, as most of you already know, and this is going to be REALLY hard for me to get used to, but as they said, this is only temporary until they can figure out how to fix me. Right now their diagnosis is something called Meniere's disease. Not sure exactly what it is, but when I know- I will tell you.I just wanted to thank those that sent me well wishes via im, or emailed, or those of you who came to visit me. I appreciate it so much. It was soooo boring laying in that bed, not able to do anything.It was horrible!So now, I have to make an appointment to see another specalist in Ann Arbor, MI. This is just a horrible experience for me alltogether.I am just glad to be home!!

So I am finally back home, and this walker thing is a struggle because of the fact that I live in a mobile home. I am sooooo frustrated, and so I am hoping to maybe take my frustrations out on some scrapping!! That is my hope, anyway.
Unfortunatly, I have not had a chance to do anything with Melanie's CT yet, but I will be getting to that soon! Also, I might also throw in some quick pages from Holly over at freebie vault.

OK, well I better get going and get ready to go to the doctors office. Yay. How fun (aren't I just dripping with enthusiasm? lol)

I promise not to stay away so long!

OK, I want to say a HUGE thank you to Terri who pointed out to me that I was wrong about my first frame. I actually created it into a PSP file, and I advertised it as a photoshop elements file. I have updated the file now, and I have included the PSD file, as well as a png of the background without the frame. I am so sorry to anyone this confused or inconvienienced. The download link in the original post is now correct.

I am in complete shock. This is all new to me, and I am HONORED that I am on DIGI-FREE! When I got the comment email, I about fell off my chair! This is a serious big deal to me, and I am honored that Maria felt that my frame was worthy of a mention on her blog. 62 downloads so far! WOW!!!

OK, so I went and did it again! I created a new frame, and although it is similar to the other one, this one has an outer white frame that is more grungy. I used a brush to give it a more textured effect. Also, You have two options for the frame, as you will see in the preview below:

I have been so busy lately with various things. I am trying really hard to get some things done for the 2 CT teams I am on, but it has been rough going for me lately. I hope you ladies understand.

Anyway, I made this sliced photo frame for something else I was working on, and it is just sitting on my hard drive collecting dust, so I thought I would share it with you. The outer frame is a seperate layer, so all you will have to is mask your photo into the proper layer (it is named as such) and boom! You have yourself a sliced photo!

Please don't share the 4shared link with anyone. Please leave some love if you download. I am still new at creating things, so please bear with me :)

Oh- another thing to mention is that the layered file is a PSE file. If someone feels so incluned to make into other formats like png, feel free to do so, and I will post it on here. My email address is in mt tou.
