from the DPRK or more commonly known as North Korea.

KCTV broadcasts news reports, shows on education, culture, economic affairs, cartoons and various other content.

KCTV broadcasts from 08:00 to 13:30 UTC which is 17:00 to 22:30 local time Monday through Saturday and 00:00 to 13:30 UTC which is 9:00 to
22:30 on Sundays, broadcast times mirror Sundays on key national holidays.

To read more about KCTV please click <a href="http://www.tvclosedownblog.com/2008/06/korean-central-tv-dprk.html" target=_"blank">Here

I have never been able to view a close down from KCTV, I have had the privilege to view KCTV for a good number of hours at a time, but the broadcast is always cut long before the end of their broadcast day, so this is as much a treat for me as anyone else.

The Video

This video is more about presentation than anything I think and its a neat insight into the country.

The <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flag_of_North_Korea" target=_"blank">Flag of the DPRK is seen flying in a more conventional way in this video, unlike their start up in the link above.

Not sure the music being played over the flag, I am assuming someone can comment on that for me.

Thanks to Mark over at SatDirectory for this video.

If you would like to read a rough translation of what is going to be shown the next broadcast day please click here, credit to sstepski.

Please be aware of the file size of this video, so be patient when it buffers.<br Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic or more commonly known as Western Sahara.

RASD TV airs Reading from the Quran, religious lectures, nature documentaries I assume a news broadcast but I did not see one.

RASD TV starts their broadcast day with this national anthem at 14:00 UTC/Local Time I am unsure when they close down.

RASD TV can be seen on the Intelsat 905 satellite at 24.5°W which covers most of Europe and what looks like the very north of the country.

I have no idea if they have any terrestrial broadcast sites, although airing a test card like that mainly suggest they do.

Over all the production quality of this channel is very poor, some of the audio distortion is incredibly bad, even resulting in echoes, let's hope they improve.

RASD stands for República Árabe Saharaui Democrática which is Spanish for Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic.

The territory is a former Spanish colony and I assume Spanish is spoken widely, the channel <a href="http://www.rasd-tv.com/" target=_"blank">website is also in Spanish.

The Video

First off we see a test card with the <a href="http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/6/6b/Coat_of_arms_of_Western_Sahara.png/85px-Coat_of_arms_of_Western_Sahara.png" target=_"blank">Coat of Arms of Western Sahara with local music playing.

Then the <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flag_of_Sahrawi_Arab_Democratic_Republic" target=_"blank">Flag appears and the <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Y%C4%81baniy_Es-Sahar%C4%81" "blank">National Anthem begins to play, and into the start of programming.

I hope you all enjoy.<div East on Telstar 12 at 15°W and in North America on Galaxy 19 at 97.0°W.

Don't really know much about their cause or their beliefs, and don't want to go into them.

I have no idea where this channel is broadcasting from, but they do have a contract address in the United Kingdom.

It is a well produced video that is for, lots of patriotic images and rallies to their cause, and possible martyrs featured in the video.

Can't say much more really. cause that's all I have, not even sure on the music played.

Sorry for such a long wait for a new width="320">UT1 is the first television channel in Ukraine, it is state owned and it is operated by The National Television Company of Ukraine.

UT1 broadcasts in Ukrainian and airs news broadcasts called simply News, cultural programming, sport and general all round entertainment.

UT1 can be seen in 97% of the Ukraine the largest coverage of any television broadcaster in the country.

UT1 can be seen in Ukraine's capital <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kiev"target="_"blank"">Kiev on VHF Channel 2 with a radiated power of 50kW's.

With obviously a lot of other transmitter sites, but can also be seen on cable and satellite television in the country.

UT1 on air goes by the name Перший канал which means First Channel, this is the common name for the channel.

UT1 does not go off air but at 09:00 (07:00 UTC in Winter Time) each morning they put aside 5 minutes of broadcast time for this national anthem video and taped in vision announcer telling us the following days programming.

Sometime this year hopefully The National Television Company of Ukraine will become a public broadcaster and the government will lose direct control.

The History

UT1 first went on the air on January 20th 1965.

Although I assume on not the current frequencies they use now since I guess they were taken up by the former Soviet Channel 1 and 2 in Russian.

UT1 had a sister station in UT2 till 2004 but this was taken off the and replaced with the commercial private broadcaster cunningly called Channel 1+1 which obvious equals 2, who took over its broadcast frequencies.

The Video

The style in this video is still very heavily influenced by the "socialist" days that's for sure.

Features the National Anthem of Ukraine as well as The Flag and the rest can be watched for yourself.

I really do like this video, one for the fact it has everything you would expect for a national anthem video and more, plus I have been trying to find a start up sequence from Ukraine for a very long time, so this pleases me a lot.

Twitter Feed?

Before I go, if any one is reading this far down.. would anyone like to see this blog get a twitter feed?

I would make little updates on what I am recording, what I have planned and of course have notification of when new videos are posted automatically.

If yes please leave a comment or simply email me, either will appear in my inbox.

I hope you all enjoy.
<img station licensed to broadcast to the <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metro_Manila" target=_"blank">Metro Manila region on VHF Channel 9.

DZKB-TV is the flagship station of the <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Radio_Philippines_Network" target=_"blank">Radio Philippines Network.

Although it is known on as as C/S 9 due to partnership arrangements with <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solar_Entertainment_Corporation" target=_"blank">Solar Entertainment Corporation who own the C/S branding and produces programming for the network.

DZKB-TV call signs stand for DZ for Luzon and KB for Kanlaon Broadcasting System.

Kanlaon Broadcasting System was the former name for the broadcast network.

<a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kanlaon" target=_"blank">Kanlaon is a Volcano on <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Negros_island" target=_"blank">Negros Island in The Philippines.

DZKB-TV broadcasts a lot of imported US TV shows which over time has become famous for.

Also a lot of sport with a-lot of basketball from the <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Philippine_Basketball_Association" target=_"blank">PBA and the NBA.

DZKB-TV also broadcasts news programming, and has a very long running English newscast NewsWatch which is also the flagship newscast for the station.

In the mid nighties the station started a <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Telenovela" target=_"blank">telenovela craze in the country.

In the past it used to air The Price is Right from the states, this show is a favourite of mine, although it now airs on DZRJ-TV channel 29 in Metro Manilla which an affiliate of <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2nd_Avenue" target=_"blank">2nd Avenue which is owned by Solar Entertainment Corporation.

DZKB-TV Channel 9 first went on the air on June 29th 1960 branded as Kanlaon Broadcasting System.

This lasted till 1975 when it re branded as Radio Philippines Network which lasted till the station re branded as C/S 9 in October 2008, although I believe it is still technically the networks name.

The Video

This video is quirky to say the least, no official sign-off message is ever given, just a quick C/S 9 is now signing off and quickly into test card.

Sign-on is more interesting hence why I am featuring it, and the day this was recorded a few technical errors appeared.

First off we see the test card used during the time when DZKB-TV has no programming, although I don't think they actually shut down the transmitter for the need to have a sign-on message with technical details.

The test card then starts to have parts of the <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_anthem" target=_"blank">National Anthem begin to play over it, audio only, this was clearly a mistake.

Then the anthem stops and then the video and audio start up the National Anthem video produced by a number of government offices, and is used on quite a few stations.

Then a count down video that tells us CS/9 is signing on.

See other video from The Philippines click <a href="http://www.tvclosedownblog.com/search/label/The%20Philippines" target=_"blank">Here.

I must say I really do enjoy writing these posts and only one VHF station in DZTV-TV Channel 13 in Metro Manilla I have not posted, if anyone has a sign-on/off from them please email me.

Cheers and I hope you all enjoy.
<img width='1' height='1' African country of Chad.

Télé Tchad is operated by ONRTV which is the state national radio and television broadcaster.

Télé Tchad broadcasts in French and maybe a local language or two a mixture of programming alot of talk shows, cultural and local style musical programming, but I guess it also has a few news broadcasts.

The satellite signal is very weak for me here in South Wales so I have not spent alot of time watching it.

The signal is lost for me past around 12pm BST so I am unsure what time they actually start broadcasting, although I do know they close around 12am local time, which is also my night so signal level improves.

Télé Tchad has a high power transmitter in the capital <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/N%27Djamena" target=_"blank">N'Djamena on VHF Channel 7 with a radiated power of 50 kW's and also has local relays across the country.

Télé Tchad can also be seen on satellite in North Africa, Middle East and Southern Europe easily on the Nilesat 101 satellite at 7°W, the satellite can also be received in most of Europe with a large enough dish.

The channels mascot is a <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grey_Crowned_Crane" target=_"blank">Grey Crowned Crane which can be found in Chad.

Hes featured in alot of places including the channels digital on recently established national television channels in Africa, little else I know.

The Video

I guess this video is obvious, although I do like the final ident with the 3D logo with the <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flag_of_Chad" target=_"blank">Flag of Chad draped around and removed to real the logo.

I'm glad to be back, thanks for being href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TXN" target=_"blank">TXN network or the TV Tokyo Network.

The TXN network affiliates are always known by TV and the city or location of origin, so for example TV <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hokkaid%C5%8D" target=_"blank">Hokkaidō or TV Tokyo.

JOUB-DTV broadcasts a ISDB signal on Channel 18 from its main transmitter on <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mt._Ikoma" target=_"blank">Mount Ikoma which covers Osaka.

JOUB-DTV also broadcasts from other transmitters that cover <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hyogo" target=_"blank">Hyōgo and <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nara_Prefecture" target=_"blank">Nara Prefectures as well as <a 1st 1982 broadcasting on UHF Channel 19.

JOBH-TV was from the start affiliated with the TON Mega Network which later became known as TXN.

The Video

I believe this video is used only by its digital station and a different one is used on JOBH-TV its analogue parent.

Notice the clock in the left hand corner, this is a common practice on television in Japan and is put up just before breakfast television, it seems nearly all put up a clock which is neat.

Anyway I hope you all enjoy.<div version of The Gong Show, game shows, and kids shows.

The Video

First we see a test card with tone, and then two holding cards prior to the start of the broadcast day.

The <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indonesia_Raya" target=_"blank">National Anthem video starts to play with the <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flag_of_Indonesia"
