....Relaxing....

Don’t look for a lot of posts from me today. I’m sick once again, big surprise! Ever since I put my oldest in Kindergarten it seems we’re sick, sick, sick and once we think we’re getting better, we’re sick again… BLAH!!!! I so wish I could just go away to some gulf shores hotels and rest in peace and quiet!

So an update on my dad, thanks to everyone for keeping him in your thoughts and prayers. He’s still in the hospital. Thankfully he’s had no more chest pain. All of his blood work, EKG’s and tests have come back normal that was until they did his stress test yesterday. They found multiple blockages, but no damage has been done to his heart. Today or tomorrow they’ll be doing an angioplasty to see how bad the blockages are, and then he’ll be having whichever surgery they deem necessary. I got to talk to my dad briefly last night, his worry? He’s got too much work to do to be laid up in the hospital! I swear, this man is a workaholic! I told him work is secondary right now. It just really sucks that I can’t be up there, and now with me and the girls having colds, it wouldn’t be a good idea anyways. I hate having to rely on phone updates ugh…

Tonight though, for me I finally get to get out of the house, with no kids!!! I’ll be going to see New Moon! I’m so excited!!!! It will be nice to get out of the house without the kids, without hubby and have a girls night out, right now I could use it! Until then, I'm taking advantage of my hubby being off today and resting, resting resting!

Yummy Popcorn! It’s one of our favorite snacks in this house. Normally we just eat microwave popcorn in the bags, but every once in a while we’ll splurge and get some yummy flavored gourmet popcorn from various places.

Gadget Geek! I’ve mentioned it previously; we’re a family of gadget geeks, specifically when it comes to cell phones. Hubby is the guru of all gurus when it comes to talking cell phones and cell phone accessories. He’s always got the latest and greatest and is excited to try new products and accessories once they hit the shelves (or even beforehand sometimes).

When I had the ability to review the Parrot Minikit Chic I couldn’t wait to tell him, I knew he’d be just as excited as I was, maybe even more! Now, I don’t drive (yet! Newsflash I just booked my road test for the 24th) but hubby does and he’s always talking or texting and fumbling around with that darn phone of his somehow, and I’m always yelling at him to stop because let’s face it, it’s dangerous! Headsets are great, but if you’re like me and have tiny ears it’s hard to find one that works, so with my impending ability to drive alone, the Parrot MiniKit Chic hands-free device is the perfect solution!

At first look the Parrot’s Minikit Chic looks cute! Perfect for me and my still. The Bluetooth speakerphone is black with silver and grey flowery designs, nice and pretty for me, but not too pretty for hubby! The design is small, not as small as a headset but about the size of a cell phone itself and comes with a built-in clip so that you can easily place it on your car’s sun visor, which is super easy to install, you just pry the clip open and slip it on your visor.

Not only does the Minikit Chic let you talk hands-free but it also incorporates your contact list from your phone, so all you have to do is tell it who you want to call. No fumbling around in your address book! We did notice this worked great with the Samsung Omnia and Blackberry Curve however with my hubby’s new Droid the contacts list incorporation didn’t seem to work. The other great thing about the Minikit Chic is the knob on the top which allows you to scroll through menus easily while you hear the menu choices without having to take your eyes off the road.

Voice clarity is great! I could hear hubby perfectly when he was driving and vice versa, no issues there unlike with some headsets that pick up everything but the callers voice. The voice prompt is also easy to understand, and just reminds me a lot of the voices on my GPS nothing different, however when asking it to do something like call a specific person you do have to speak clearly without a whole lot of background noise for it to understand. Additionally it will also announce who is calling you (if they’re in your address book), so you don’t need to look at your phone while driving to see who it is.

The Parrot Minikit Chic ($99.99) is the perfect gift, don’t want the design for the man in your life, no problem they also offer the plain-black Minikit Slim with all the same features. Before I move on to my Daily Freebies, I just wanted to ask for a few thoughts and prayers. I got a phone call this morning from my brother who told me my mom took my dad into the hospital last night with chest pains. I've since spoken to my mom and she said everything came back normal, but because the nitro worked they want to keep him for a day or two for observation.

I really hate living far away and not being able to be there right now, I'm a worry wart to begin with so when something like this happens I get crazy worried and just ugh... I'm going to try to keep myself busy today while I wait on a phone call from my mom to hear more, you'd think my worrying and stressing would be a good appetite suppressant but it's quite the opposite. So if you all could please keep my dad in your thoughts and prayers today it would be appreciated.

We’re just in love with our Powermats! We’ve taken our travel mat with us when we’ve traveled and it’s so much easier than remembering individual chargers when we leave, and when we’re returning. It’s also easy for my girls to just plop their Nintendo DS directly on the charger rather than having to find a plug. No cords is a big plus for me, it looks nice and need on our bedroom dresser with just 1 mat, 1 area for charging our phones.

The only downside is the case that comes with the tips, we did find that it took a lot of maneuvering to get all the tips to fit inside, even after we did that, we noticed that the larger tip (for iPods) really can’t be in the case for them all to fit, I’d love to see a larger portable case that fits all of the tips at the same time.

Colorful, Warm, Organic...

I love fall clothing! Having the ability to bundle up in warm comfortable clothing, that’s me! When it comes to the girls, as long as it’s cute and colorful they’re in! My youngest daughter especially loves anything with a hood, so you can guess hoodies are one of her favorite clothing items.

Happy Green Bee has provided her with one of her favorite hoodies ever! The Watermelon Reversible Hoodie. This soft, colorful organic hoodie is adorable, with a side of solid pink and the other side (remember it’s reversible) in pink and blue stripes, it’s just too cute for words!

We don’t own a lot of organic clothing, and frankly it’s a pretty new concept to me, by look alone, you couldn’t tell it was any different than anything else, but the feel of the clothing is to die for, it’s so soft! Although I missed the Pay Per View last night (don't tell me details I'm going to watch it ASAP, trying to stay out of the spoilers lol), I LOVE LOVE LOVE TNA Wrestling, and I love going to their live shows.

They don't travel as much as WWE, so the rare chance I get to go see a show is great. And now, you can DEMAND that TNA visit your home town....Or mine for that matter! Between now and January 15, 2010 TNA fans have the opportunity to demand that TNA Wrestling comes tot heir city or town!

If your not a TNA or wrestling fan at all, that's fine. How about you help me out and get TNA up here to Toledo for a show!!! Or if you are a TNA fan, demand your own town/city!!

I hope you all had a great weekend. I myself am so behind!!!! We finally decorated our house too, not fully I'm still getting there but we're already in the Christmas spirit!!! I still have lights to do and a few more things around the house to get the full effect but yes, I started decorating before Thanksgiving! Thing is, I get so stressed out when trying to decorate for Christmas, I know I shouldn't but trying to find all the stuff, places to put things currently out away, getting the tree up with two little ones trying to help at the same time.... I need me some good wrinkle cream by the time I'm done!

I also stated something this weekend many of your mom's said I would, but I denied it and said I would never say that.... The words that I never thought would pass through my mouth did... I said "OMG I can't wait till she goes back to school, she's driving me nuts!", yes me, I said those words! Lyric has been out of school since Thursday (because of parent/teacher interviews) so I had her home for a full 4 days and she was already driving me crazy!!!! So I guess you all were right! What was I thinking thinking I could home school this child! I'm glad she's schooling elsewhere! lol
