I have also seen that emailing Lowes via their website does NO good. So I called their customer help line from the website. I guess this isn't going to be as boring and action free as I had hoped.

I got tired of Jim Daugherty of the Centerville Lowes store ignoring my calls, so I went on to the Lowes site and did the little "Contact Us". Well I have a new Saga... we will call this "The Lowes Saga". In this one I will be more careful with my comments and will do better about exposing myself to litigation.

Anyhow awhile ago we bought a washer from Lowes. We love the washer and the price was very good. Everything about the deal was good until we got to the installation part. I was not at home for it but my Wife was. In the process of installation the install guys ripped the flooring in my laundry room. (Pictures to come later) They were really nice about it according to my wife, they filled out a report on it and said that an inspector would be out to look at it. With in a week or two... the inspector had visited and saw the damage, he wrote up a report on it and gave me his card. He said Lowes would be in contact with us about the damage.

Well I said this was awhile ago... well it was... in November. So I didn't get after them right away thinking they would contact me. Then the holidays rolled around and we got busy, then I forgot about it... and before you know it... it's April and they still have not called. So I call them. They are rather shocked that I called about the damage they did to my house this long afterward. Yup I should have tried to hold them to their responsibilities sooner then I did. Some how they were trying to make this my fault.

The thing that pisses me off about this is... they did the damage, they knew they did the damage because they filled out a report on it and they sent an inspector. They knew about it all this time also. Anyhow I just left a message with the store manager( 05/03/06 1:15 PM ). The first time I talked to him (04/22/06) he said he would look in to it and call me back. No call yet.

(This is going to be cross posted on both LiveJournal and MySpace)

5 dots in Linguistics

I just realized today that all the second languages I would like to learn… are the languages of the Axis Powers. How weird/sad is that? German, Italian and Japanese. Now this has nothing to do with the actual Axis Powers, I am not a Nazi, Fascist or whatever the Japanese were at the time. However those are the ones I wish to learn.

German, because of my German Heritage. I can trace my line back to Germany on both sides of the family. I think the earliest ancestor I know of is from the 1400’s.

Italian because there are few languages out there that are more romantic to the ears of English speaking peoples. And really who doesn't want to sound romantic? Also my wife’s family is Italian and I think it would amuse some of them. (Plus Nicolo Machiavelli was Italian…)

And Japanese, because I am in love with Japanese culture. I think this infatuation with Japan is becoming more and more common in America actually, which I find funny because the Japanese seem to have the same infatuation for American culture also. Maybe one of these days we will be dating.

You know if I was more practical I would learn Spanish and Chinese, since North America has an ever increasing Spanish speaking population. As for Chinese, well they are the next Super Power, and maybe one day they will be to the world what the US currently is.

Posting again...

So its been awhile since I posted. Mostly that was because I had something wrong with my settings and didnt take the time to fix them until now. As you can see I have fixed that little snag.

So today I have 2 pics to post. First is the pic of my brothers dog, Max. Max is my buddy... then again I think Max is everyone's buddy. As you might have guessed I would like a dog of my own, but at this stage that isnt going to happen. So until it does... here is to the happy dog Max.

The second pic is my new office set up. I wish I had taken a pic prior to taking down my old desk to show how different this is, but alas I did not. Anyhow what I have set up now is a dual monitor on my gaming rig and a second PC with it's own monitor. I am thinking of getting a KVM Switch so that I can use one keyboard and mouse for both PC's... If I do that however I will also have to mmove that 3rd Monitor closer to the other 2. Those Black Monitors were only $25... so I might have to pic up another one if I can.

Paris Hilton shortlisted to play Mother Teresa...

Paris Hilton shortlisted to play Mother Teresa, all because she refused to pose for playboy. I am really looking forward to it but I am also nervous that this will go the same way that the Super Hero game went. We are hung up on a word like refugee, you know someone that seeks refuge!?!? However some feel that this is a racist term, not because of its meaning or his historical context because in this case its people of NOLA that it is describing. People that are mostly poor and black. Notice that I said MOSTLY. Its not all poor and black its just mostly... because that's who lives in NOLA. Or at least that's the faces we are seeing on TV. What we are not seeing is all the other folks that had the sense/money to get the hell out of town before it hit. Those folks are refugees also. All the rich WHITE folks that are homeless seeking refuge else where.

I am SO sick of all the political bullshit that our nation (and all nations) seem to have.
