Often times we try to take some shortcuts when attempting to build our business. If you have been following my articles recently, you have seen me say it over and over, there are no shortcuts, "there is no magic buttons". Learn to Write Effectively.....By Writing!

Name recognition of your company or yourself can be accomplished by writing good relative content in articles!....Learn to write....by writing! Write from the heart....put your text in simple paragraphs....write good relevant content in the same style as you would normally talk! Don't try to make your reader believe you're something that your not.

Writing articles with good relevant content is imperative if you want to get your name and your business opportunity out on the internet. Most people think they can't write....don't worry about that.....just write. All you have to do is write like you talk. We all have our own way of speaking.....thus we all have our own way of writing. Sit down for a moment and think of a subject that interest you. Now start talking and as you talk...take some notes. When you have talked for about two or three minutes.....then stop talking and refer back to your notes. Each point that you thought was important enough to write down while you were talking is more than likely a keyword or keyword phrase. Your article does NOT have to be lengthy....sometimes two or three paragraphs is all you need to get your point across.

Now look at the words or keyword phrases in your notes.....open up your favorite text editor like notepad....start writing what ever you are thinking about. When you get done you will probably have 300 words or more in the little article you just wrote. Check your spelling with the spell-check in your system. Read and re-read what you just wrote....make any changes that you feel would make your article more understandable ....then prepare to publish your article on the internet.

Give your article a title after you have written your article. Never choose a title and then try to write regarding the title. Write first....then give your article a title. You may never win a Pulitzer prize for your writing.....no problem. If you don't expect a Pulitzer prize....then you won't be disappointed. The purpose of writing is to get your name and your business opportunity out there on the internet and position yourself or opportunity high in the rankings with Google and other search engines. If you have a favorite blog or forum you enjoy reading.....then sign up in one of them and post what you just wrote to that blog or forum.

Google is an excellent blog for you to build and post in. It's easy to get started in....it takes only about 5 minutes and you have just published your first article in your blog. Blogging is extremely effective when promoting your name or your business opportunity on the internet. Make sure you hand index your blog to Google and other search engines every time you write a new article or change content on your website. You too can earn "Top Positions on Google". It's not going to happen overnight....just be consistant and post a new article everyday.

Regardless of how busy I may be on any given day, I will always write at least one article per day about something. I write a great deal about leads and lead generation. We must all have leads in our business to survive. I will post that article to six or eight blogs.....plus five or six forums or more every day. I will always make sure my name and my business opportunity is mentioned in the article somewhere. I don't try to sell my product or service at all.....I merely share relative content about the features and benefits of what I am trying to promote. I always make sure my name, title, phone number, fax number, email, URL of my website and any other pertinent information is included in my closing tag. I want people to be able to get hold of me for any additional information they may have. Get away from the mindset that you have to advertise..... you don't have to advertise. People are bombarded with all kind of advertising junk mail and false promises every day....if you are like me, I'm tired of the junk. Give the interested individual good quality information and then let them decide if your particular product or opportunity is for them. Statistics show that an individual will look at information about a product on the average of seven times before they make a commitment to purchase. Good information is what potential clients want to read.

When searching for leads, you will normally go to Google and type in the word "leads" and hit the search button. You will see that there are 31,900,000 references to leads for that search term. Where do you start? Obviously you could spend months, weeks and years researching all of these site and you would probably be more confused than you are right now.

First of all, its important to understand exactly what the definition of a sales lead is. You will find a listing called Sales lead - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. In this site you will find a very clear definition of the word leads. The following is a quote about the meaning of leads from Wikipedia.

"A sales lead is the identity of a person or entity potentially interested in purchasing a product or service, and represents the first stage of a sales process. The lead may have a corporation or business associated (a B2B lead) with the person(s). Sales leads come from either marketing lead generation processes such as trade shows, direct marketing, advertising, Internet marketing or from sales person prospecting activities such as cold calling. Realistic Goals...Training...and Commitment Equals Online Success

Every day, I receive countless emails telling me how to make tons of money on the internet. Most of these offerings are so phony, you would think anyone could tell that the opportunity was nothing more than hype and lies. Anyone in their right mind would know that you can't join a program and do no work, make no phone calls, and in 30-60-90 days, retire to a beautiful island and lay on the sunny beach all day drinking fancy beverages. This type of online hype and lies has discouraged many a good person from learning how to make money on the internet legitimately because of the scams, lies and ridiculous email offerings.

Unfortunately, there are no regulation on this type of questionable marketing. This makes it difficult for all of us to decide which emails we should read and get serious about. By becoming an internet marketing specialist, an SEM/SEO Consultant and a certified Instructor with some of the major companies, I have be privileged to learn how to discern the ways to spot this kind of offering normally by the subject line of the emails. Once in a while I will open one of these emails just to see how unreasonable some of these experienced scammer can be. It has always amazed me, why someone would spend so much time doing questionable activities like those mentioned, when the same efforts could be channeled into productive time, that would generate those individuals a legitimate income. 1) Sit down right now with a pen and paper.....write on that paper...."What is my goals?" (Be realistic in your goals)

2) Now write down.....a realistic dollar figure you would like to eventually make. This can be per week...monthly...or annual income. The second part of this question is simple.....Do you want to do this full time.....or part time? Remember this is your personal game plan....be realistic.

3) Write down a figure.....on a scale of 1% to 100%....what is your commitment level that you are willing to put forth. Ex: 100%=Success! Don't tell me 110%....it's not realistic. You can never put forth more than 100%. You must be honest here.

4) Re-evaluate your commitment you just wrote down in item three above. Are you serious about your commitment level? If your determination level is only a small percentage (say 30-50%) don't waste your time or anyone else's time.....just go and enjoy some video games or send your friends jokes that someone else sent you. This commitment is not a game folks...it's your future.

5) Determine your willingness to invest not only time....but a limited amount of money to accomplish your new business goals. Note: Free is not always the cheapest. Free should be in conjunction with some quality paid programs as part of this learning process.

6) Are you willing to seek the help of successful marketers.....to help you and advise you on how to accomplish your marketing goals? Don't try to travel this ever changing journey alone. By getting some professional help.....you can shorten your time frame to success.....limit your monetary commitments and start making money on the internet much quicker than trying to sort through the maze of marketing junk all by yourself.

Home Based Business....It's NOT for everyone! See If You Qualify!

Many individuals today are considering an alternative to the normal 9 to 5 jobs that most of us have come to accept as the norm. More and more people are taking a close look at the possibilities of some type of a home based business. Working for yourself....not having to waste gas going back and forth to work. No fancy suits to buy....no springing for lunch for a co-worker who is out of cash. The list goes on and on. You know the drill! There are a few things one must consider before making a commitment to take the plunge and work for yourself.

Are you willing to make a commitment and devote the necessary time to become a home business owner? Many individuals can never make that transition from working for someone else and punching a time clock everyday to the no time clock concept.
