New site in progress

I am currently well into fleshing out a new redesign for the site here, amongst other projects. It may take me a bit as my time seems rather lacking, but I can simply state that it is fantastic to be back at work with art and photography.

As it stands I've been practicing a great deal with the new camera, and getting back into the habit of painting in photoshop. It appears that my favorite pencil is once again missing and I hope to make it out to the store to pick another identical one up (after 15 years I am still in love with that particular pencil and I will cry a great deal if they've stopped making it or stopped carrying it at the store I tracked it down to last time this happened).

In any case, things are shaping up and going well again!
It makes me entirely happy to be able to be back in the game~~

A long time coming, updates and a camera!

So over the weekend, I managed to get myself a new camera finally.

Its been a few years of me putting it off, but I think that its paid off.
I have a ton of stuff still yet to edit and many months of catching up, but I am hoping to neglect some other areas of my time wasting in the next while to sort it all out :)

In any case, this is off of my new Nikon D90 + 10.5mm Nikon Fisheye lens~

Needless to say I am pretty poor, but should be pretty occupied for a while too. Maybe updates shall be more regular for the coming months!

I have returned from holidays, and have a giant stack of photos to organize. You may expect some periodic updates as the results are hammered out here.

It was a great journey and very enjoyable even if the weather was not entirely favorable. It also ate up a great portion of my credit card, but we all know that's the point of vacationing now isn't it.

I am taking off to take many more photos! I will be gone for about a week, heading through southern Alberta into the interior BC, and then back home somehow.

I will also have the joy of geotagging photos and using the internet on my new phone (HTC touch diamond), so we will see how that goes :D

In the works, and more

Its been a busy month, I've made the purchase of a new domain denbyjorgensen.com to make it a tad easier to find me. As well I have an entirely new site in the works - with some intent of expanding this beyond strictly an art website due to the nature of my living and working in the tech industry.

Beyond that I have taken a number of new photos that I am slowly processing. I have also been working on a few private commissions that may or may not be shared (we shall see).

Wacom Cintiq 12wx

Well, there have not been many updates in the past months. I just replaced my dead tablet last week with a fancy new Wacom Cintiq 12wx. Its is absolutely wonderful and worth the price.

New stuff should be rolling out at time progresses and I get back into the flow of things. In the works is a new website layout hopefully with a tad more interaction and more interesting. I also have a number of pieces on the go that should be finished up in the next while. Lastly, I am working to fund a camera for myself in the next couple of months - granted my expenses allow for it.

Not much new, just been working and trying to be more social and lazy in my free time.

I have a few items stewing away on the burner, but nothing to show off quite yet.

Just finished reestablishing my gallery into a newer and better gallery.
Its not styled with the rest of the site, but it is likely a preview of things to come.

I have not really had any time for art lately, due to work. Soon I shall get my latest workload complete though, and then it will be a nice change of pace when I start on all the ideas that are up in my head :)

Last night I finally got around to scanning a number of illustrations that I have done up over the past couple of months.

Also, I have been redoing the Archer piece, starting from scratch and doing what I had originally intended to do (without the mistakes at the beginning this time). It should be done in a short while.

Lastly, there are still a large number of photos that I have to process and update from 2003-2007. I am hoping to get these out of the way prior to getting my new camera. We shall see how it goes and hope that I have time.

The first of the new works should be up tonight!

Hey everyone, sorry for the lack of real activity. Just moved back to Edmonton from my temporary location in Red Deer. Things are going pretty good so far - just got the internet yesterday, and set my pc back up in the evening before going to bed.

Moving has been slow due to the weather, but thats fine as well. Once I get the scanner I have a few things to show off, and plan to work on more in the meantime.

Some more gallery reorganization may be in order - we will see what happens.

Re-uploaded Traditional art

Some of the intermediate images for the traditional art were not working (since it was from an older version of the gallery). I went through and manually re-uploaded all of them.

I will likely be doing the same to the digital art this weekend.
Perhaps a couple of things will not come back, but I may also find a couple that are not up either.
